A Certified Jounin!

Kaen grinned a feral grin as he rushed forward. He brought his back charging as much power and chakra he could transfer into his fist before launching himself forward at which one he thought wasn't a clone. He could tell which one had the most chakra so he went for that one hoping if it was the right one.

If Kaen had hit the Jounin, it probably wouldn't damage him as he would probably just block the attack, or parry it. If it were a clone, Kaen would fly right through it, and stand up straight as he landed before he performed the Body Flicker to get back to his original spot.

After what had happened if he either hit Itami-sensei, or not he'd be back up and ready to train. After the clones disappeared Kaen instantly straightened up as Itami-sensei went about to make ten Haze Clones.


"Alright, your go. I want you to make ten of them just like I did," Itami-sensei said as he started at Kaen waiting for him to perform. Kaen paled at the thought of ten clones before he slightly shaken his head; Kaen decided he would not fail today.


"Dog - Tiger!" Kaen pronounced his words louder and emphatically as he felt the chakra in him convert to water as fast as he had performed the hand signs. All of a sudden a clone that looks just like him appeared in front of his face with less smoke that it had taken to make a regular clone.

"Sweet." Kaen and the clone said at the same time as they high-fived each other and that had made the clone instantly disappear. At seeing the water Kaen's mind had gone back to the fight with Chisana, he slightly cringed. He hadn't talked to her in a while, and it made him somewhat lonely to have him and his only friend ignoring each other.

Kaen had lightly shaken his head; he needed to move on. They'd forgive and forget some other time, but he was in the middle of training. Kaen instantly supplied his body more chakra and started to practice the hand seals for the technique. The faster the hand seal, the faster the clone, and that had meant the more rapid Haze Clone Technique finished.

Converting most of his chakra into water, he started to channel more of it thoroughly throughout his body. When he created the hand seals, he began to seep more chakra into the skill and soon the clone had popped up again with nine other of his duplicates, or should he say his duplicates?

Kaen smiled as all ten of the clones had faded to water before he had looked at Itami-sensei. 

"What now Itami-sensei? Thank you for teaching me all these water skills, it is helping me with my new found elemental affinity." Kaen said with a small smile as he waited for his instructor to tell them what to do next.

As he saw the boy charge at him. All the haze clones would move in a synchronized motion so it wasn't that easy to find the real one. Since they all shared the same chakra, it wouldn't be easy for him to sense it so easily. Unless he had some special dojutsu that could see through the illusions. But Itami doesn't think that is the case in this situation. After Itami dispelled the haze clones, it was now time for him to watch closely on how he performed the technique.

As Itami watched him perform the hand seals, it seemed he had built enough chakra up to perform the jutsu. Which wasn't surprising considering he has been completing these low rank techniques very easily. These techniques aren't too low rank for him since he is a D Rank shinobi learning D rank techniques. So technically, these jutsus are on par with what he should be learning. Though if he ever wishes to get stronger, he has to take it to the next step. That is when he can really become more powerful.

After seeing a clone appear, it seemed he was only able to create one or he just totally forgot the fact that he wanted him to create ten. But Itami didn't stress it at all, this training is for him and not Itami. So whatever he does with these techniques afterwards is up to him. But suddenly, he notices that he has his mind else where as he looks into a small puddle. It looks like he is not paying attention.

"Focus..." Itami would say to him, hoping he will get his mind straight again. The boy was grateful for Itami teaching him these techniques. This was  really practice so Itami could get used to teaching others, since his team will have to eventually learn something from him. He wouldn't be much of a leader if he did not teach his squad something.

"Next, we are moving on to some old fashioned taijutsu. This next technique is fairly simple. All you have to do is have a good amount of momentum and do a jump quick. I'll demonstrate it on that dummy over there." Itami said as he turns around towards the wooden dummy. Itami would run towards the dummy at a high speed. And at a speed of 110 and a power of 46. Itami would jump in the air with his left foot out preparing to land a mid air kick at the center of the dummy. Itami would then send the wooden dummy flying a few meters. And leaving it with multiple dents and cracks inside of it.  Itami would then begin to walk back towards Raen after demonstrating the technique. 

"Now it is your turn. Pull all of your weight and momentum into that kick to the most out of your power. And strike without giving a second thought." Itami said to Raen, he would stand there as he waited to see the boy perform the kick just as Itami did.

Ah, Dynamic Entry. A good Taijutsu skill that would allow for greater combos, especially with the Rasengan. Though Dynamic Entry was a start up attack so, Kaen would need to find another Taijutsu move for a follow-up attack.

Kaen plopped down as he watched Itami-sensei demonstrate the attack for him. He could hardly see the Jounin move and only actually saw Itami when he slammed his leg into the dummy sending it flying. It landed with a big smash surprising Kaen.

His eyes widened, and his muscles tensed. Itami-sensei was strong, of course, Kaen had known that, but he didn't consider how strong he was. It was the fact that if that were a human being his chest would be shattered, and he'd die in a matter of seconds.

That brought him to something else; what would it be like to kill someone? It was a job as a ninja, and there was no way he could avoid it. Chisana had claimed she had killed, and Senshi and Reizo probably had as well. Max, no offense, but he surely has killed.

"Now it is your turn. Pull all of your weight and momentum into that kick to the most out of your power. And strike without giving a second thought." Itami-sensei had said knocking Kaen out of his stupor. The Yuki slowly nodded standing up.

He breathed in and then out. He wouldn't think about his hands taking the death of another human being until it was time. Kaen stretched as he looked at the training dummy. He needed to attack it in the center with all of his body weight, and send it flying throughout the air. It depended on speed and power, but were there any other factors?

Like chakra? He could enhance chakra throughout his body and then go faster and hit harder. The more chakra, the better; it was simple, but genius at the same time. At least to Kaen it was.

"Dynamic Entry-" Kaen stopped as he realized that every skill that he used he would yell the name. It was starting to become ridiculous; he felt as if he needed to stop. He should only say the skills name if they were necessary for the attack, like for the Rasengan!

The black-haired boy nodded as he backed up a bit. Then channeled chakra throughout his system. He instantly ran at the dummy and flung himself at him [Speed: 30] and his foot connected with it; not sending it flying like Itami, but sending it tumbling. [Strength: 20] Kaen used the dummy as a springboard to backflip and land it.

Kaen let out a breath as he stood up, "Done Itami-sensei. I wanted to ask you a few questions about your first kill. How'd you deal with it?"

The boy would turn to look at him with his eyes conflicted, and curious at the same time. It seemed as if he was acting the age of ten, unlike the ninja he was training to be.

After Itami finished demonstrating the taijutsu technique to Kaen, it was now time for him to do the same thing Itami just did. As Itami begins to walk back towards Kaen, he will now wait to see how the bot will perform this next one. As he saw him getting ready and preparing himself. He looked at his muscles a bit to see if they were relaxed when he first starts. As he started running, he had a good start and definitely had his momentum going forward. Taijutsu wasn't really about chakra, it was all about how physical one was. And that was all there was to it. 

As he hit the dummy, it was obvious that he wasn't strong enough to send it flying like Itami did. But he can tell he still put all of his power into it. He is still young with a long way to go. Keeping looking for more power and he will soon be a powerful shinobi. Itami has been training this boy for a while now, he reminds him of Itami a little. Seeing him train so hard to become stronger. He likes that in people. 

The boy began to speak and made it known that he had completed the technique. But then he asked a question that kind of shocked Itami. He asked Itami how was his first kill and how did he deal with it. This was the first time someone has ever asked Itami something like this. But he was very pleased to answer it. 

"My first kill wasn't a single kill... I killed many all at once. A small village I was in try to kick me out since I was causing a lot of problem. I got angry and my bloodline went out of control and every person was under a heavy sheet of lava." Itami said to the boy. This is what made Itami who he was and why he wants to gain more power.

"And I enjoyed every second of it. Your own people can even turn your back on you. And once that happens, the only thing left to do is to crush them all. Because at the end of the day, its either you or them. That's why it is important to gain power and crush those who will ever defy you. If a group of bandits were to attack your family.. wouldn't you want the power to kill them all in a instant before they could even lay a finger on them? In this world Kaen, the weak die and the strong live. its just that simple." Itami said to Kaen. That was how Itami saw this world. And he feels Kumo has the same type of beliefs he has. To strike down on all that defies us. Turning everything into dust a rebuild this world the way we want it to be pictured. This is what made Itami who he was.

Itami had killed a whole village!? That had dumbfounded Kaen that the man in front of him was a cold-blooded murder. It made him shiver until he finally realized he wasn't a criminal. Itami was a Jounin of Kumogakure, he was a ninja that killed for a living.

Ninja killed every day, and they still had to go on with their lives. If they weren't ready for blood; then why would they even become a shinobi in the first place? They'd be better off as a tailor for Kumogakure rather than a ninja.

"And I enjoyed every second of it. Your own people can even turn your back on you. And once that happens, the only thing left to do is to crush them all. Because at the end of the day, it's either you or them. That's why it is important to gain power and crush those who will ever defy you. If a group of bandit was to attack your family... wouldn't you want the power to kill them all in an instant before they could even lay a finger on them? In this world, Kaen, the weak die and the strong live. It's just that simple." Itami said as he looked Kaen right in the eye.

Kaen nodded slowly as the revelation came over him. The boy wouldn't falter, he wouldn't let anyone hurt his loved ones, and he definitely wouldn't die easily in the middle of a battle. The world was a cruel place, and as Itami said their closest friends could turn on you.

His mind briefly flashed to Chisana. She had no remorse, no emotions, and she wouldn't dare look back at his fallen body. 

Then his mind flashed back to Itami. He had enjoyed killing his whole entire village, and it had made Kaen shiver. Although, who said they couldn't enjoy their job as a ninja? Who would have a job that they hate? A corrupted grin appeared on Kaen's face and vanished as quickly as it appeared. He had better things to do; like gain more power.

"I think I finally understand now Itami-sensei," Kaen said before he took in a huge gulp of air and exhaled it out of his lungs. "I'm ready to start training again."

(OOC: I think Shadow Clone is the only thing I can learn from you unless you want me to exchange some information or you so you can learn some more techniques and we can earn more words! Muhahahah!)

After Itami spoke those words to Kaen, it seemd that the boy understood what Itami was saying. This was good, this means that he has potential to become powerful. The more he looks to gain more power, the more he can unlock his full potential. It seemed he was motivated to continue the training. Itami would then nod to the boy as he was about to tell him the next step.


"With that being  said, this will be the last technique I will be teaching you. Its a lot harder than the other jutsu I taught you. I will be teaching you the shadow clone jutsu. Similar to the clone technique you probably already know. But these clones are different. They are an exact replica of you. When facing an opponent, you will have the ability to try and flip the odds against them. Pretty simple technique but at the same time can be very effective." Itami would say to Kaen. Learning this technique will take a little more time than the others, but he has confidence that Kaen will learn it a little bit quicker.

"Even though I already know this technique. I will be training something new to take it to another level. I will be trying to make a lava shadow clone.." Itami would say to him. So the two of them will be learning a technique similar to each other. But before Itami would work on this next technique, he will demonstrate the normal shadow clone to Kaen so he could practice it while Itami practice his. 

"Its juts like the clone technique except your must build up a lot more chakra and have a greater control over it. You must relax you body and have your chakra flowing smoothly. Once you build up enough and have completely controlled. Just like the clone technique, just make the replica of your self." Itami says as he makes the clone hand seal. He would then make two shadow clones appear in front of him.

"And that is how it is done.." Itami would say to Kaen. After he created two replicas of himself. He would then dispel the two clones as it was now time for him to create lava clones. "Now.. while you do that, I will be working on my lava clones.." Itami said to Kaen. If he had any questions Itami would answer them and if not. He could continue to do his training.

The sentence that had been spewed by Itami had made Kaen slightly nod. He knew this was a hard technique to learn as his father had the skill. The Yuki knew that he would be able to learn it, though; the Jounin Itami was teaching him after all. Kaen noticed that Itami was finally going to train causing the boy to become slightly relieved, he hadn't wanted to take up all of Itami's time just because of his selfish desires to be trained.

"It's juts like the clone technique except your must build up a lot more chakra and have a greater control over it. You must relax your body and have your chakra flowing smoothly. Once you build up enough and have completely controlled. Just like the clone technique, just make the replica of yourself," Itami-sensei had said as he created two clones that looked identical to him.

Kaen nodded once again as Itami finished. After they dispelled Itami had decided that he would begin training, and so Kaen would start training on this technique.

He let out his breath and brought it back in once again before he focused his chakra just like he had to focus his chakra to create the regular Clone Technique and the Haze Clone. The Kage Bushin or better known as the Shadow Clone required a lot of chakra to use it. Everybody could only create two of them at a time, or else they'd damage their chakra coils. Even the most skilled ninja could only make two. Even Kage couldn't only make two at a time!

As if he was looking in a mirror Kaen recalled his facial structure. Sharp chin, normal-sized eyes, peachy skin, and coal-black hair. Certain adjustments to the face to make it look more human-like than what he was imagining, and he had finally gotten his face down. The ears were easy enough for him to remember, so it was easy for him to do. His neck was simple as well, and so were his shoulders. Now the torso was hard because there had to be a certain amount of everything to make it look exactly like him.

Not fat, and not skinny. Toned as if he was an athletic swimmer and stiff muscles. Kaen started to sweat as his chakra continued to fluctuate as he created the clone. Signs of developing abs, but nothing that'd be noticeable unless someone looked at it just right. His legs were difficult as he had to focus on each part of his leg. His calf, foreleg, knees, and then finally heels. He had to make the heels just right so his feet hadn't looked abnormal. Kaen then shaped his feet so the toes were just right, so they wouldn't look as if they were broken, messed up, or twisted.

Now for the clothing. Kaen was currently wearing his normal attire which included his signature plain black t-shirt and black jacket with dull orange highlights. His ninja headband tightened across his forehead, and his black ANBU styled pants. Then his black combat boots. He was imaging himself as if he was a doll being clothed by a little girl, but by the way, he was doing it, it seemed as if he was a girl with broken hands clothing the doll.

As he finally finished he just needed enough chakra to actually create the clone. He'd start off easily as his chakra started to fill his every being once again. The clone could only be created two meters away from him, so he had to make sure he got this just right. It was like filling up a measuring cup, not too little and not too much. As he finally finished filling it he started to work on more features.

The style of his spiky hair. His bone structure in his body, and just overall fixing the rough draft. Kaen finally finished and did the clone hand seal.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Kaen yelled and in front of him a huge puff of smoke showed up blinding him. When he looked he saw his clone staring right back at him. It was like looking into a mirror; everything perfectly matched all the way down to the smallest scratch.

"Oh, heck yeah!" Kaen and the Clone said at the same time high-fiving each other. Kaen had gotten it on the first try! Now time for the second clone as this one looked kind of lonely - well in Kaen's eyes - and he started to imagine the same exact thing he did for the same clone. Same details, same structure, and every little thing once again.

When the second clone popped into existence Kaen stumbled backward but managed to catch himself before he fell. He was actually really low on chakra reserves but he could feel himself gaining his chakra back already.

"So, what can you guys do?" Kaen asked Clone 1 and Clone 2. They put their fingers on their chin in a thinking position that Kaen usually had done before Clone 1 gained a figurative lightbulb above his head, "When we dispell we can transfer memories back to you."

Kaen nodded with a smile. It seemed he could learn techniques way faster with these two always by his side. They were like his new best friends. Clone 1 and Clone 2 high-fived each other at their accomplishment of being awesome.

"What now boss?" Clone 2 had asked. Kaen liked the certain ring to them calling him boss, "We should probably start training. I like to impress Itami-sensei."

The two nodded at his thought. They blinked, "What're we gonna train, boss?" Clone 1 and Clone 2 questioned at the same time.

"We are going to learn simple techniques within our small group of three. Like how to reduce the smoke of the technique, and then several other jutsu. I can only do the smoke thing since you guys can't perform the technique, but work on the new water jutsu we learned," Kaen said as the other two clones nodded at his orders.

"Yes, boss!" They said as they instantly got to work. Kaen focused on the Shadow Clone Technique again and remembered how much chakra he had wasted. He needed to focus less on the physical part of the skill, and more on just doing it. He could focus on less smoke and then finally be able to do it easily.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Kaen said dispelling Clone 1 and then summoning him again. There was less smoke so Kaen kept on repeating the technique until he had no more chakra left and he fell to the ground exhausted. Clone 1 laughed at him for a second until a stern glare shut him up, and he went back to work.

Kaen thought over everything he had learned from Itami. Techniques, killing, and everything a true shinobi is supposed to be like. Kaen could say that he was fond of Itami-sensei and he wished he'd be somewhat like him when he fully became a Jounin. There was still a long way to go, though.

Kaen groaned as he sat up and looked as his clones. They had created Haze Clones to play with. They were currently sparring with the Haze Clones that would fluidly dodge their strikes. Kaen watched as the Taijutsu seemed a bit different from the two clones. The Haze Clone seemed to move more fluidly than the regular Shadow Clone, and Kaen had guessed it was because the Haze Clones were made of water.

Kaen nodded. He dispelled one Haze Clone and Clone 2 and then got the memories of them fighting each other. He started to practice the fluid movement with great expertise causing him to smile. That was amazing! He'd have to see how every elemental clone fought, he already had some vivid ideas. Jumping up from his resting spot, Kaen performed a quick stretch and a yawn.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Kaen said performing the hand seal once again as he summoned Clone 2 without really depleting his reserves. They nodded to each other as Clone 2 summoned another Haze Clone and had started sparring again. Kaen turned to see Itami-sensei training with his lava clone, and Kaen couldn't help but take great interest in his bloodline.

Lava could be very deadly in battle and totally demolish his ice. Kaen would need to come up with a counter to this dangerous Kekkai Genkai.

After Itami explained to Kaen how to perform the shadow clone and demonstrating the jutsu. It was now time for him to begin his own training. Itami was going to try and create a lava clone. As he began to walk away from Kaen for about 15 meters. To give each other space while they both train their techniques. Itami would begin to build up chakra and his lava element. Itami had finally learned one lava jutsu, but it was now time for him to learn another. And after gathering a good amount of lava techniques, he will eventually learn his boil release. Which would become very useful in battle. Itami would stand still for a little and begin to concentrate. He needs to build up a good amount of chakra and keep under control.

As he awaits for his chakra to be at a smooth pace and have enough build up. He would then begin to do the hand seals for the jutsu, which went from tiger to dog to snake. Then Itami would open his mouth and spit out a good amount of lava. But it turned out it wasn't nearly enough to make two clones. Actually, it wasn't even enough to make half a clone. But this is still a bit new to Itami, so it might take him a minute to get it. But he knows he will, this is part of his bloodline and it ran deep in his family. So he has no choice but to master his kekkai genkai to its fullest extent. But for now, he will take it one step at a time. 

He began to think about how he was able to create so much lava the night before he came to Kumo for the first time. How did all of that happen so suddenly, especially since he had way less chakra back then. And could not control his chakra nearly as good as he can now. That always made Itami think and confused him a bit. But back to his training as he began to build up more chakra and his lava element. It was a lot easier than learning his other lava technique. But since then, he has had a lot more control over it than before. As he begins to continue to control it, he is still building up more and more chakra. He assumes he has more than enough to build up, he begins to release a large amount of lava from his mouth onto the floor. After the lava hits the ground, the lava begins to form into an exact replica of Itami. Successful forming one lava clone. But Itami's goal is to form two of them and not just one. Just like he could do easily with his normal shadow clone technique.

After forming one clone, he would then begin to take a look to see how Kaen was doing with his own shadow clone jutsu training. He saw him quickly building up chakra getting ready to perform the shadow clone technique. It seemed that he was thinking about it a little to much. But if it works for him and gets the job done, then Itami has nothing to say to him. Now Itami was getting back to his training. He had created one clone and it was now time for him to create another lava clone. It is obvious that creating lava clones uses up more chakra than a normal clone because even when the clones dispel. They form back into lava which could easily damage an opponent if come into contact.

Now it was time for him to create the second lava clone. Itami would then begin to build up more chakra and his lava element once again. As he concentrates on trying to control his chakra. He can feel that this round will be a lot easier than the first since he is starting to get the hang up of. After a few seconds of building up chakra. Itami would then perform three hand seals and spit out a huge blob of lava on the ground as it quickly forms into a clone once it hit the ground. Itami has now formed two lava clones in front of him. As he looked over towards Kaen to see how he is doing. It seems that he is getting ready to perform the technique one final time. As Itami watches him make the clone hand seal and perform the technique. Kaen had made two exact replicas of himself and there was three of him. This would wrap up the training session for the two.

Hopefully Kaen uses this power to become stronger and a lot more powerful. As it was clear that Kaen finished up his shadow clone training, Itami would dispel the two lava clones as they would begin to turn into lava the moment they dispelled. Itami would begin to walk over to Kaen.

"I see you completed the shadow clone technique, that will wrap up your training today... These jutsus I taught you today aren't much but they are still important basic techniques. They open the door for stronger ones which leads you to gaining more power." Itami said to the young boy. He can only teach him but so much. But Itami is sure that he will find his true power eventually if he keeps up his training.

"Thank you for the training Itami-sensei," Kaen said while putting his hand out in the form of a handshake. 

"It was nice meeting you and I hope that someday we can train together once again." After they shook hands (or didn't) Kaen would take his leave, happy with everything he accomplished today.

As Itami finally finished his training with Kaen, it was now time to wrap things up. Kaen was pleased that Itami took his time out to teach him. Itami would shake his hand and begin to walk off towards the exit of the training grounds. Today he taught a young genin how to acquire power more power and he also learned another jutsu that involved his lava element. It was now time for him to wonder somewhere else.
