A week had passed since she had been tested on her espionage abilities in the first part of her Chuunin exams and she has been scattered brain ever since. That exam was definitely exciting and it was fun to not-so-sneakily weave her way through enemies, something she was not used to. The days had crept up on her during this week and the only thing she could consistently focus on was her exam results. She was told she would have been mailed her results and that the time it took for her to receive the final score would be dependant on how easy it was to assess. Knowing this, she knew her wait would definitely be a lot longer than the others. The challenge was indented to be sneaky, and she just rammed through everything. She was not supposed to let the guards see her and yet she used Mist Servant, a genjutsu that legit shows your full body image to the opponent. She did not know whether she would pass or not but she was hopeful.
Her days had started to be wasted away. She had no intention to train a new jutsu or even do some stretches in the morning. There was only the letter on her mind. She had started to eat a lot more and it started to show. Even Waizu no pō, her ninpo bear, was lazily wasting away the constant days and nights. After about two weeks of waiting, Beafōsu realized that she needed to get back into her groove. She was focusing on this exam process too much and she let it consume her life. She walked down to the training center that night and got right back into routine. After the gruelling session over at her usual spot with Waizu no pō, she returned to her house with an interesting sign on her door.
Walking up the sidewalk to her house, there was a simple paper notice on her door and it read as such:
To Beafōsu Chōkyōshi,
In reviewing your performance on the first exam on your way to becoming
a Kumogakure Chuunin, we have passed you with a score of 7/10. Some
comments made about your performance were such; “Very creative in
execution, but not necessarily what the mission was about.”, “Very
interesting to learn a new technique in the danger of a mission.”, “Great
example of the teamwork present between a ninja and their ninpo.”. Your
next examination unit will be a test on your knowledge of jutsu. You will
present two known jutsu to an audience and then will be given time to
learn and show your strength in learning one new jutsu. You are ordered
to meet us at the training stadium at 7663 Dive Rd. no later than 1:30 PM
tomorrow, December Nineteenth. We wish you the best of luck.
From,
The Kumogakure Board of Shinobi Advancement
Once she got through the first sentence she immediately started to teem with joy. She had passed her first exam! Of course the score and comments made a lot of sense but, it was really flattering on how she was being praised for her work on this stealth mission. Seeing more into the note, she quickly got to the part about the next exam. She started out a bit confused. Would this not just be something identical to the Genin Exam she took at the academy? Why would the Raikage do something for which he has already done? These ideas fluttered through her mind before she started to read the last bits of the letter. TOMORROW! How the hell was she supposed to mentally prepare for something that she was given today, and would be presented tomorrow. Grabbing the notice she opened her front door and almost ran to the living room table, put the notice down, and grabbed a pen and paper. For something like this, something she knew what she had to do, she was compelled to plan for it.
The first thing she had to think of was what jutsu would be able to captivate this audiences attention and she started to look through her arsenal. Some obvious ones that she probably should not do were the basic jutsu like Tree Climbing/Water Walking Technique, Transformation Technique, Substitution Technique, and Clone Technique. Surprisingly, that marked off a good lot of the jutsu she currently knew which brought her to the attention that she needed to learn new stuff. Then she started to go through the list. Puppet Art: Ventriloquism; this would be interesting and could actually prove to be useful in getting people’s attention. If she made it loud enough, it would be pretty cool to see their reactions. So that was added to the list of maybe’s. The next jutsu was the basic Medical Jutsu and she immediately crossed it off. It provided no flare and she was not gonna be a main medical ninja, so she saw no point. The next two she saw was the Weaponry jutsu, Shadow Shuriken Technique, and her favorite, the Passing Fang. While technically they were jutsu, they did not show precision with chakra, so again, there was no point. Based on the sheer numbers in the audience, doing a Genjutsu such as Mist Servant would not work either. Body Flicker is such an essential that it would not be impressive, and Human Beast Clone while would be cool to make it seem as though Waizu no pō was doing ninjutsu, is simply a clone variant. So that left the last two, Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole and Seven Heavenly Breaths. They could both be physically appealing and she added them to the list. Now she had to chose from three different jutsu, and she found Puppet Art: Ventriloquism was quite reasonably the most boring jutsu to do for this type of situation. So there she had it, Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole and Seven Heavenly Breaths: Stage One would be the jutsu she would be performing for the great “audience” for her 2nd part of the Chuunin Exam. After writing this down, she looked at the clock next to her fridge to see that it was the late hour of 12 AM. She had to get up early to know what she was going to learn so she ran and got straight into bed.
Beafōsu woke up to her 7 AM alarm and lazily got out of bed. Her sleep wasn't the 10
hours she was used to and it obviously took a toll on her. However, she could not let this hinder her performance today so instead of taking her usual warm shower, she jumped in when it was cold which woke her up right away. After her shower and breakfast, she started to head off to the library to do research on what jutsu to learn. Walking in, something interesting immediately struck her. One of the librarian desks, with what she remembered had the name “Jiyo” on it, was now empty. But she thought nothing of it and continued down to her own helper, a redhead named Emiso. Getting to her desk, she started to explain what she was going to do later that day and Emiso got right to work with getting a new jutsu for her. She quickly got a book about Earth Ninjutsu, Element-less Ninjutsu, and Medical Ninjutsu. The Medical Ninjutsu book kinda weirded her out but she trusted Emiso with her options. “We want something easy to learn in that hour long period, but we want something that's able to serve a purpose. Let's look in these books for D-Rank jutsu. Something perfect for Genin like you. In Earth Ninjutsu we have two jutsu that poke interest in the Earth Release: Moving Earth Core and Earth Release: Headhunter Technique. Moving Earth Core is a technique that lets you essentially raise or lower the ground around you. While I feel it's very flashy, it comes off as an easy skill in relevance to other D ranks, so that's not a good enough for you to advance. And Headhunter, well it's too simple and similar to Hiding Like a Mole for you to do. So lest we move on. For Elementless the only jutsu you haven't learned is Temporary Paralysis, and since you are not gonna have someone to do it on, again it's not gonna work. That brings us to the one I actually want you to do. Chakra Anesthetics. “This jutsu temporarily stops any damage done to the person it is used on. This could be used to show that you can survive great hits. But shows your ability to inhibit Chakra and interweave it with your nervous system.” She said. Grabbing the book, Beafōsu lit up with glee and thanked Emiso before walking out into the streets. Looking down at her watch she saw the time to be 12:50 PM. Only 40 minutes away and it was a lengthy walk anyway! Beafōsu looked at Waizu no pō with gaping eyes and they hurried off to the stadium. They passed crowds of people flocking to the stadium seats, and pushed through them with ease. She got a lot of scornful looks but that didn't matter. She saw Kōmon and Komori on her way but had no time to even wave. The clock was ticking and she could not even imagine the repercussions if she was late. Racing pass the training centers, she finally was in sight of the stadium which ended up being a lot bigger than she anticipated. Seeing this behemoth of an arena sparked the thought that she did not plan for what she was going to do for each jutsu. She was going to do it but she got caught up with the library and she just did not have time. It would have to be something she came up with according to the circumstances apparently. Once she got to the registration office of the arena and signed up, it was 1:27 PM and Beafōsu smiled knowing she made it on time.
At exactly 1:30 PM, a male Kumogakure Jounin with a tall stature and auburn hair walked through a door adjacent to the entrance and simply shouted, “All Genin taking the 2nd phase of the Chuunin Exam must be through this door within the next 45 seconds or be automatically disqualified!” Beafōsu immediately saw the confused faces of all the other Genin, about 9 of them, around her but noticed that the Jounin was closing the door behind him. She could not take any chances and grabbed Waizu no pō and jumped straight through the still open crack that door presented. Apparently she was the only person who took this jump because the Jounin gave her a strange look, but then nodded. “The door is locked. Good for your instincts. I can already tell you are a fine shinobi.” The man said. He had a pocket watch that he was constantly staring at, the time ticking down. Beafōsu started to feel worried about the others before two people appeared right under the ground beneath her. One had used the Hiding Like a Mole technique and taken someone else, presumably their friend, with them. There was 5 seconds left before 1 person kicked down the dented door and 2 others joined him through the passageway before the clock hit 0 and the Jounin seemed to use a Barrier Ninjutsu to block off the hallway and everyone else would fail it. The Jounin looked at the group with a menacing stare and simply announced that six was a small number for this part and walked away. The group of 6 genin followed him into an arena with pedestals.
“Get on one and wait for you to be called forth to the center.” The Jounin said and Beafōsu went to the middle left pedestal and had Waizu no pō stand by her side. Once she stood and got herself adjusted, the first thing she noticed was the sheer number of audience members out in front of her. She knew that it was a big arena, but she has never seen so many people gathered to watch one thing. Two faces she immediately recognized were her training friends Kōmon Hyuuga and Komori Hozuki, the twins she had her spar with. She had heard Kōmon had already passed this exam and was apparently taking his 3rd exam soon. She was super happy to see them there and then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Emiso and was ecstatic. She was able to make eye contact and she saw that Emiso was specifically rooting for her which her made her super happy. Then, once she got her mind off of the audience, she looked around the arena floor and saw various “stations” for people to do their jutsu on. She quickly caught onto what exactly was going to happen.
Shortly after, she was cut off by a loud boom through a speaker where a rather excitable voice came out. “Hello Kumogakure Shinobi and citizens alike! Welcome to the second phase of the Chuunin Exam. This is one of the only exams put in front of your eyes so cherish it well. This is how it is going to work. When I call one of these six Genin’s names, they will perform one of their chosen jutsu for you guys. They will then have time to explain what it is and how it is useful in regular life or dangerous missions. Then, once they have each presented two jutsu, they will have 1 hour to learn a new jutsu in surveillance of you, then will present this jutsu like the others.” Beafōsu heard this information and started to formulate many plans. She would have to use her Hiding Like a Mole first opportunity she could since she knew someone else already knew it.
The first person called was Shito Iwa, a short, blond haired boy, who immediately made his way to a tall, metal cylindrical casing. He walked inside and he was unable to be seen. There seemed to be confusion in the audience but suddenly everyone's face went into complete awe as the metal started to quickly melt and a swirl of fire came from the epicenter of the tower. Within 10 seconds the tower was nothing more than hot liquid that scorned the grass underneath to a crisp brown. Beafōsu did not have enough time to react to this amazement before Shito started to talk. “That was Fire Release: Flame Whirlwind. It is a B-Rank Katon Ninjutsu that requires the hand seals Monkey, Bird, Dog, and finally Ram. It is useful for when a shinobi is surrounded and needs to get rid of the opposing force quickly. If it hits, you are good. If it does not, then you still will have room to escape since they have put their focus on escaping the vortex sizzling near them.” With that, Shito returned to his pedestal and quietly waited. The announcer laughed and noted how it was a fierce and hot opening to a great upcoming show. The crowd laugh and then the announcer asked for the next person.
The next two went bye with not much excitement and Beafōsu was focusing on other things. How was she going to display Hiding Like a Mole with as much excitement that Shito Iwa did with his Fire Release: Flame Whirlwind. The auburn haired girl with little definition after him threw some sort of disc shaped like object that pulled several logs towards her, and the guy after her shot out Chakra puppet threads to one of the dummies and threw it around. During this, Beafōsu found a specific station to do that would definitely work. After the puppet threads dude, the announcer spoke into the speaker, “Beafōsu Chōkyōshi and her ninpo Waizu no pō!” Hearing him. Beafōsu quickly got off of her platform and made her way to a tall, long dirt based post. She easily climbed up it due to her heritage and had already discussed with Waizu no pō about what was going to happen. In complete silence, once both her and Waizu no pō made it up to the top, Beafōsu threw Waizu no pō up into the air as far as she could and instantly started traversing through the dirt tower. Just as she went under she could hear the audience and the spokesperson take a huge gasp. Perfect, that was the reaction she was aiming for. Waizu no pō did her act of being scared which only added to the affect. A lot of people could not bear (pun intended) to watch as Waizu no pō was falling to their suspected dispise of the genin bear. Beafōsu raced through the dirt after the cloak of chakra formed around her. To do what she wanted to do at this height, she had to move fast. Diving down, she reached ground zero and got in position. The audience would be seeing Waizu no pō mere inches from the ground before Beafōsu jumps from the ground and catches her in her arms. A couple of seconds after this, people around the entire stadium let out great sighs in relief. “Great showing of this magnificent jutsu by Beafōsu Chōkyōshi, and now we go over to her to explain.”
Right when everyone settled down, Beafōsu got right to explaining. “Now, I assume many of you I just scared, pardon my language, but I scared you shitless. The jutsu you just saw me use, one with which I am travel through the ground itself, it called Hiding Like a Mole. It is a Doton, or Earth Release, Ninjutsu that used a thin line of Chakra around myself to be able to traverse through the soil as if it was a swimming pool. Now how exactly does it do this. What the chakra does during this jutsu is that it transmutes anything within an inch around me to a special material that is easy to walk through, something with less resistance than the air itself. This jutsu is useful for when I have to save my little friend Waizu no pō like what I just showed you. However, during this jutsu I am able to magnetically sense the world around me so it can also be used for a sneak attack or assault.” After she said this, the people applauded and she returned to her platform. Once she got there, she looked to see if the three people she knew were happy and they definitely were. The twins were smiling with a lot of joy and Emiso was giving her a thumbs up when she made eye contact with Beafōsu. The girl after was called and her name was Koho Biwa. Surprisingly, she was a very tall but lanky girl and she seemed to not have any meat on her bones. Beafōsu did not see much potential in this girl, but she knew not to judge until she saw the work she put in. The girl walked towards the middle and and was about to do something that no one would ever anticipate. This young girl would be the girl to amaze the nation. By doing a simple snake hand seal, three massive gate looking entities towered over her. They formed a triangle type base around her and once they stood for a good five seconds, they vanished. The announcer gleefully shouts out, “That was amazing! If that is what I suspect, then we have a fine ninja on our hands at Kumogakure. Let us here what Koho has to say.”. The crowd almost immediately went silent and all eyes were on this particular girl. Then she started to speak. With a high pitched, croaky voice, Koho spoke out, “Hello. I do not seem like the person who would be a good shinobi with Taijutsu or even Ninjutsu, but here is the wonders of Space-Time jutsu. I just use the technique, Summoning: Triple Rashomon. It is an A rank jutsu that summons three Rashomon gates in any formation I choose. These gates are able to even take attacks from the Kage themselves. Have fun Kumogakure” However. Before Koho was even able to turn around, the jounin who led us into the arena flickered in front of the girl and escorted her out of the arena by grabbing her arm. Just as he started to walk with her, her fingers started to light up with force and she was about to stab the jounin in the side before he almost burnt her to a crisp with a Katon: Fired Pottery Technique to the abdomen.
The crowd went wild after this event but the exam was still under going so shinobi quickly got the area quiet. Some people were escorted and some people were straight up silenced by jutsu. Everyone was in shock. Beafōsu did not know how to react to it. She just stood there with a stone cold face. She was not a big fan of the Raikage and she knew this was some sort of act to make the village stronger through force. However, she had to ignore it. She had a duty to fulfill. The rest of the exam went by pretty quickly before her turn again. Shito Iwa was still able to shock the audience as he threw 20 shurikens into the air, have them all be shadow clones in the end, and then have all the shadow clones turn into miraculous explosion. There were laughs and screams of glee throughout, but definitely not to the level as before the incident. The second person did a chakra enhanced punch to the floor which shook up the earth, and the person before Beafōsu did some sort of mind reading trick on an audience member which no one saw impressive. It was then her turn again and she had no idea what to do for Seven Heavenly Breaths. The only option she saw was just running around really quickly and doing several amounts of damage around the arena with Waizu no pō. So that is what she did.
Once her name was called, she walked forward and took a deep breath. Suddenly, the whites of her eyes took over and a yellow aura surrounded both her and Waizu no pō. Then, they ran rampant and started to knock down structures. Many people could not even keep up with them and to be honest, she did not care. She just wanted to get this exam over with. The events that occurred with Koho Biwa was still trying to register in her mind. But that did not matter at the moment. After there were many Oo’s and Aa’s coming from the audience and the announcer stated how the technique that Beafōsu and Waizu no pō just did was simply astounding, the focus was now on the explanation. Once everyone decided to quiet down, Beafōsu spoke up. “Hello everyone” She said in a very seldom, quiet voice. “This technique that me and my ninpo, Waizu no pō, just demonstrated would be the first stage of the Seven Heavenly Breaths technique. This technique is broken into 3 different stages of varying difficulty and boosts. How this jutsu works is I infused chakra into the air I breath by taking a big breath. This breath is then able to expand my lungs capacity nearly ten fold. This enables me to take in more oxygen which in turn means my blood supply and muscle strength is proportionally increased. Causing what I just did to happen. Thank you for watching this.”
Turning around, she slowly walked back into her circular disc based platform before facing the audience again. She saw Emiso and she happily nodded. Emiso helped her learn this and it was a huge benefit for this exam. The last round was nothing special as the girl. The girl who was after Koho did some weird snake type jutsu that had everyone crawling out of their seats but still, even after these amazing jutsu, no one was in the same mood as when the first round went by. After the snake jutsu was explained as a summoning jutsu with snakes from a distant land, and the guy who summoned them returned to the pedestal, the announcer spoke out about the next part of the Exam. “Seeing the jutsu that these 5 fantastic ninja have worked on so hard to advance is amazing. We really do have a bright future ahead of us in terms of Kumogakure manpower. Now, in front of your very eyes, these five ninja will learn a new jutsu of whatever they want. The training aspect of being a shinobi is what takes up a large amount of these peoples lives and we get to see it in front of our own eyes. They will have 1 hour and time starts…” there was silence in the crowd. “NOW!”.
Right after the sound of the announcer came out, Shito Iwa, Beafōsu’s most competitive competition rushed over to a station of trees. The other two trudged off to their own station but Beafōsu did not care. She had not moved off her own disc before looking at Emiso. Emiso gave her multiple signals that were a little hard to interpret before Beafōsu at least got the general gist of what she was saying. If she laid low and did not gather any attention, her presentation would be that much more effective. Finally stepping off of her platform, she walked into a quiet open field and sat down. She had her Medical Ninjutsu book with her and it was time to get to work. Of course, weird remarks were made by the announcer in somewhat of a mocking voice like, “Guess we’re going to see something quiet” or “A Medical Jutsu book? Not the best idea for this exam… let’s see what is gonna happen.” Beafōsu could not let them interfere with her training and she got right into work. Opening the book to the stickied page, she started to read. “Chakra Anesthetics. This jutsu will teach you how to prevent pain for a long duration.” It then deeply explained how the jutsu worked. As you implant Chakra from your fingers into the nervous system, it is stimulated and then becomes numb to pain. Seemed easy enough. However, Beafōsu’s knowledge on Medical Ninjutsu was severely limited and she did not have much time to learn this. The first thing would just to get the chakra to appear in a flame like orientation extending from her fingertips which should surprisingly be very easy. She already knew the most basic variation of Medical Ninjutsu so the actual chakra part in theory should quickly come.
When the chakra first got to her finger, it was not doing anything except sit there. Big trouble. If she could not get her chakra to physically manifest around her fingers, this could be a problem. When she would push, she would get small flares or sparks of chakra from her fingers, but the picture and what she had heard about the jutsu depicted a constant stream of chakra in a fire like depiction. However, as she pushed harder, the sparks only got more numerous. Something was not working. Before she was able to realize that the problem was that she was putting too much force into it and that Medical Ninjutsu was supposed to be a more passive flow, there was a shriek coming from her left side. A shriek so loud it caused her flow of chakra to completely go out of wack as Beafōsu and Waizu no pō, as well as Shito Iwa and everyone else in the entire arena looked towards the origin of the sound. It had come from the guy who summoned the snakes from her arms and although there was nothing around her, she had a huge gash around her body. Massive conversation erupted from the bleachers surrounding them about what had happened. He was in the middle of one of the open fields yet she had a huge slicing mark across her abdomen. All the regular civilians were shocked but majority of Shinobi knew exactly what was happening. He, whose name Beafōsu knew was Mada Haru from the previous rounds, was trying to learn the very cool jutsu called the Immaterial Sword. It was a C Rank Space/Time Ninjutsu that did exactly what the name entailed. It created a sharp sword out of nothingness that could be swung around and thrown and reappear out of thin air. A lot of people see it as this amazing jutsu, but it requires a deep understanding of the art of distorting Space and Time to pull off. A large number of things could have gone wrong but that did not matter as Mada was being taken out of the arena on a stretcher. The announcer buts in and makes some comment about how every time someone gets hurt, trying to lift the spirits by being funny, but it does not work and everyone gets back to watching or working. Beafōsu was able to get the flow back to her hands and it was time to get to work on what the jutsu was supposed to get accomplished. She knew that using Chakra to interrupt the nervous systems functions was nothing new as jutsu such as Body Pathway Derangement and all of the Hyuuga clan techniques existed, it was just something very hard to grasp for someone who mainly used brute and forceful strength. She was able to use Chakra to walk on water, but the nervous system would be something very different. It was much more intricate than simple water and would require much more focus. Taking her hand which was now exactly what the book showed, she stabbed her fingers into her own abdomen which caused some slight pain, but not much. Then, she had Waizu no pō claw her with as much strength as she could so she could see the result. Surprisingly, the results went really well. This scratch which normally would have done great damage to her did not even feel like a light flick to the cheek. Had she really been able to learn it that quickly? Looking at the clock, there were 10 minutes left before presenting so instead of just getting it down pat and redoing the jutsu, lowering her stamina in the long run, she planned out the presentation. After doing a quick look around of the stations around her, she found one that she would do no doubt. It was a glass dome with kunai cannons mounted on nearly every panel. If she could do the jutsu on herself and then activated cannon dome, she would easily be able to amaze the judges and everyone else by not even seeing a scratch on herself. So that was the plan. After going through this plan several more times, she did the jutsu a couple more times to reassure herself and returned to the platform just in time for the announcer to announce the end of training.
“Okay! Who is ready for round three of this spectacular exam, the new jutsu round!” The announcer boomed. The crowd went wild and took a while to settle down before Shito Iwa was told to advance. He walked towards a group a trees and held his hand out. The inspired audience watched closely as physical, yes physical, chakra swirled in his hand in a circular, spherical motion. After a while, when the chakra was in a near perfect ball, he shot his hand towards the tree and it uprooted and swirled, knocking down each subsequent tree behind it. The cloud applauded and he went right into his explanation. This jutsu was called the Rasengan and many greats were known for this jutsu. Beafōsu knew that she would not be surprised if Shito was made a Chuunin this second, which worried her a lot. However, the two after her made her stress be relieved as one of them had a jutsu that was not appealing and was simply boring while the other failed to even pull of his jutsu. Things seemed good. Once her name was called, all eyes were on her. She was going to be the closer of this thing and she had to put it to good use. She walked over to the dome to much surprise of the others. Stepping in, she held her hand up high and had people watch as her hand had a fire like chakra construct surround it. Then she touched her hand to her chest and took a deep breath. Taking off her flak jacket vest, she clicked the button to activate the kunai cannons she stood there as the sharp knives shot at her from every direction. She could not feel a thing and that was the purpose, but hopefully the audience was able to catch on. Once the fire ended, she walked out with nothing on her body, not even a scratch. A lot of people took a sigh of relief before she started to explain the jutsu.
“This ladies and gentleman was the Medical Ninjutsu Chakra Anesthetic. Most people see Medical Ninjutsu as a backdrop to others, but I know that to be wrong. When i activate this jutsu, Chakra flows from my fingertips to who ever I touch, to their nervous system. Then, for a fixed period of time, that one person can not feel any damage nor can their body react. They become invincible for about 30 seconds. This jutsu is used in our hospitals in Kumogakure and is useful there and on the battlefield. Thank you for watching me be stabbed multiple times.” Beafōsu bows and the audience joins in laughter at her last remark. Before she was able to turn around, the announcer booms off, announcing that that was the end of the exam and that everyone is free to leave. He also stated that the genin should anticipate their results soon. Beafōsu lit up and took Waizu no pō straight out of the arena and to the local Ramen Bar.
Walking in, the head chef commented on how he was at the exam and congratulated Beafōsu on her spectacular performance. “You made the audience jump out of their seats more than once. You made us think you were suicidal in every jutsu, but then bring it back and make us awe at your skill.” Said the overweight, black haired man behind the counter. Just that comment made Beafōsu smiled instantaneously that that was what the audience felt since that was her plan and she felt so much more confident in her ability to pass this 2nd exam on her way to ranking up to Chuunin. As she got her ramen, which would end up being free and on the house due to the kindness of the owner, she started to think about what to do once she attains Chuunin hood. Of course, it would still be a while, but it was always good to plan. She had plans to return home and finally sort out this Hoshigakure missing ninja that kept haunting her business, but would it be the right choice. She also wanted some cool jutsu and to build relationships with the others, but these thoughts escaped her mind when she ate food.
Once she finished up and payed for the food, she strolled around town. Walking to the library, she returned the Medical Ninjutsu book and talked for about an hour with Emiso about the exam. What she heard from her was nearly the same as what she heard as the Ramen Bar owner and that only boosted her already secure feelings. After finally leaving the library, it was late at night, around eight thirty, so she quickly got home with Waizu. They were so tired after this that they could only make it to the couch before snoozing. She was now, at least suspected she was, a third of the way to Chuunin and she was happy. She dozed off on the couch and dreamed about her family again.
