Beafosu Chokyoshi Chuunin Exam pt. 3/6

Mission:

It had only been a couple of days since the 2nd Chuunin exam before Beafōsu received her letter this time. It was actually in a letter envelope in her mailbox which might have added some suspected secrecy this time, but she had thought none of it. The day started with no particular significance and it went on like any other day. Beafōsu always had her set schedule, no matter what the day was. She would always wake up from the seven to seven o’ five range then start and take a nice warm shower for about 20 minutes. Then, once she is out of there, she wakes up Waizu no pō, gets dressed and goes downstairs to eat breakfast. Breakfast usually consists of two to three bowls of cereal, one orange, a granola bar, and apple juice while Waizu no pō usually refills her food bowl herself. The food she buys for Waizu no pō is made just for her by one of the chefs in town and Beafōsu accepts it greatly. Then, once she almost completely devours breakfast, she walks outside and does a two mile run. Most of the days she just listened to the sound around her, but the last couple of days were different. She could not get her mind off of what happened at her second exam with Koho Biwa. This girl was just displaying her skills and they take her away without question. Maybe it was what she said when she exclaimed how not even the Kage could break it, maybe that was what they saw as dangerous, but it still puzzled her greatly. She also could not get her mind off of how amazing Shito was, so hopefully they would meet again. His ability was so immense for a Genin, she did not know how much work he could have possibly put in to get to that level.


Once she got back from the run around the block 8 times, she checked her mail. Normally her mail intake would not be that much other than some notices. She did not keep in contact with too many people and she mainly got bills. But today was different. In this mailbox was a rain/nighttime esque blue with a red border. It was clearly important and because of such, Beafōsu took it out and closed the mailbox, not caring for what other letters be there. On the front was a silver encrusted Kumogakure symbol and it had Beafōsu Chōkyōshi on it. Opening it up, she expected it to be one of the mission requests they sent her, but instead it was her exam results. The letter was as followed;




           In reviewing your performance of the second Chuunin exam, we are excited to present you with the result that you passed with a gleaming score of 8.5/10. Your scores were based on three factors; Explanation, Jutsu Chosen, and ability to present them. Your choice of jutsu were you weak spot as they were all relatively low ranked Jutsu, but the way you presented and explained them showed your deep understanding of chakra and how it works with jutsu. You always kept the judges on their toes and we congratulate you for that. We appreciate your calmness in the two instances of competitors leaving and that was a main aspect that we judged. Congratulations once again. For your next exam, it starts in exactly two hours. Good luck.


Everything seemed good for the first part to Beafōsu up until he got to the part about her being calm. Is this note saying that Koho Biwa and Mada Haru were planned! Looking back, she did realize that they were hanging out before. As much as she did not want that to be what happened, she could only suspect it was just an act. That only made her more agitated. Then once she finished the note, she realised some key info about the third exam. They did not tell her a. Where it was or b. What it was. While normally, she would just contact the person and ask, as if it was a simple mistake. She knew that the info she sought after was on this letter. She just had to look closer. One of the first thing she remembers was that silver encrusted symbol that all Kumogakure shinobi wore. The three clouds, one larger than the others. She sees it everywhere, but where did it hold most significance. Millions of thoughts fludded her mind but she needed to focus. Two hours was not enough time and she had to get there before risking disqualification. Then, one place popped into her mind instantly. The weapons shop. That was the first location she would try. However, there had to be more info. Turning the note over, she saw a two symbols. A fist with a circle around it then a fire with a circle and a line through it.


Beafōsu lit up with happiness and so did Waizu no pō, who was standing right behind her as she read this. This would be a pure fist fight. Her specialty. Also on the back was what seemed to be an anagram of directions. They were all mixed up, but the words “Black door” stood out. There was a building with completely black doors near the weapons store and so that was where she would first look.


It was not too far away so they started their walk. She got all her gear before leaving and head out. She passed some friends house but bumped into Shito about a quarter of the way there. Seeing him was actually a sigh of relief. “Hey! It’s me, Beafōsu Chōkyōshi. We did the second exam together. Did you recieve anything about your 3rd exam yet? I do not want to spoil anything, just wanted to know if you g--” She was cut off when Shito ran away. A weird expression went across her face but she continued to move on. What had been so wrong with him. Surely he could not have been scared. Had he failed! Beafōsu could not think straight, so she just continued to walk straight. Passing the training centres, she got to the weapon shop and decided to go in as she still had about 45 minutes left. Walking in, she saw a friendly store clerk who was eager to sell. With the 3,000 Ryo she had gained from the 2nd exam that was attached to the note, she bought 2 more military ration pills, 3 boxes of Makibishi Spikes, and a book she was looking forward to getting. It was a Jutsu Encyclopedia. Once she bought  it, she immediately sat down to read it.

It was a huge book, one bigger than anything in the library, and it had every jutsu under the rank of C that she could learn. It had reviews of jutsu’s from numerous great ninja and everything. She was even able to find a selection of jutsu that the Chōkyōshi partake in and she knew this would be something very special that she would be able to learn jutsu from very easily. Now, as time ticked down, she had to find the actual examination room. The clue he had was simply Black doors. Of course, there were other directions, but then, when she exited the door, everything had a black door. Well, not every door, but still. More than what she was used to. However, every building was one that she had already seen. To the left was the book store, behind that was another library, and to their right was a grocery store. It did not take long before she realized that one of the stores, though it looked like it fitted, was never there. She had been too familiar with this city for good reasons. Walking in, she saw another registration booth and signed in. She was immediately escorted into a room where she saw a towering figure stand in front of her. She could not believe her eyes but there he was. She had seen this armor before. It was Lord Raikage himself.

The Raikage himself again had been summoned to partake in another genins battle test. There were apparently a lot more genin coming to take this test, so much so that the influx had already used up the normal jounin and chuunin proctors used for it. He had for once arrived early and was in the room waiting for his genin to arrive. Today's applicant was to be a young woman by the name of "Beafosu", he had not yet had the chance to meet this genin.

Mortarion was briefed on her process and ow she had fared so far through the exams meant to test their limits. She stood out as one that took in a lot of detail and used it to guide her life in a way most suitable to herself. He had hopes that while she was a genin that this match would prove to be more strategic than the common rush in and punch way of fighting that man y of the other genin were using.

As she entered the room his back was turned to her, his grey armor merely blending with the grey walls around them. He had not had the time to remove it before the exam was to start, its bulkiness adding several inches to his height allowing him to stand a full 7' feet tall. As his armored steps turned to face the nin he let a smile cross his face before speaking.

"No need to bow or speak, lets get right to it shall we?"

If this man standing before her was truly the Raikage, then she better be prepared for the worst. This man had decimated villages on his own. For a simple genin to go against him would be suicide. Luckily though, she was no simple Genin. A lot of people she knew would go head on, first attack. Even against someone like this. If she head on attacked him, she would be dead instantly. She could not risk this and lose within 20 seconds. She had to devise a plan.


Right when the behemoth that is Youka Tau turned around to face her, all hope was drained. He was smiling. He was going to enjoy this and Beafōsu knew it. Youka had accepted her when she sought refuge when she left her home tribe, and now he was going to kill her if she could not prove to be worthy.


Right when he announced there would be no more formalities, Beafōsu got in the fighting stance best suited for her attacks, a fighting style called Strong Fist. She could not reveal her tricks just yet, so she signalled Waizu no pō, her ninpo bear, to go to the north east corner of this small arena. As Waizu no pō did that, Beafōsu walked to the south west corner, always keeping her eyes on her opponent and settled in, taking a more defensive position. She would not see the Raikage as he played on her fears. She would only see an opponent. An obstacle of getting to be a Chuunin.

“Ready when you are” She said. Confidence filled her voice to the brim. She was NOT going to fail. She was NOT going to die. She WAS going to beat him and she WILL become a Chuunin, no matter what.

Everyone always said ready when you are, as if it was them that were proctoring the event unfolding. Each time it was said it made him chuckle to himself as he thought about each way to pin them into submission. His clone was in the battle area next to them holding his own against another chuunin prospect by the name of Komon. Akuoy sadly didn't like taking his time and feeling out the opponent instead he was more than likely looking for the quickest way to beat the child unfortunately.

"This is not my exam child, so if you must say you are ready then you are not truly ready. Words do not mean action. Action speaks for itself, once you truly are ready I'll be right here waiting, do not keep me however."

With that his attention went back to the battle happening between his clone and Komon. It seemed Akuoy was attempting to pin the boy to the ground and beat him into unconsciousness. Mortarion shook his head in disappointment as he watched. He had sent him here to hopefully teach him patience yet it seemed it was a lost cause and a better thought out plan would need to be initiated at a later date.

It seemed she would not allow herself to be goaded into the first attack which only further cemented his idea of her being a calm and collected genin. Each time this happened he was attempting to gauge just how well the students did under pressure and how much they could take before physically collapsing under the strain of being verbally pushed to their limit. It seemed females were much more inclined to see it out instead of jumping into the fray. His mind came back to the task at hand as he began making small strides to the corner where she had sent the bear. With grim resolve he looked back at the woman over his shoulder slightly before speaking.

"Very well..I shall begin."

His steps would lead him to cut off the animal's way out of the corner it now inhabited. The kage would force action from the child or at least see how true she was to not moving save for protecting and reacting to attacks made on her person. These type of ninja were very attached to their animals and losing one would be akin to losing their own life he heard. It seemed like today would be the day to test that very theory out, it was folly to bring it to the room if it was not to be a combatant as well. Reaching the animal very quickly as there was not a lot of space in the first place, if allowed he would begin with a straight shuffle kick to the bears gut. It would be followed by picking it up by the scruff of it's neck and tossing it to another corner of the room where he would proceed to close distance with the animal again where he would repeat the process till something else interfered.

Perfect, he was doing exactly what she wanted to happen. He was going to start. Once he turned around, her plan with Waizu was initiated. Waizu no pō and Beafōsu spent days working on coordinated plans for every situation and they came in handy. Having to deal with two people was hard if you were not prepared, so they made sure they were. The reason they went to their respective corners was a specific plan for a small room with a better opponent. Then, that plan divided into two different aspects. Whether the opponent goes towards Beafōsu or Waizu no pō.

As the Raikage started his short walk towards Waizu no pō, they almost instantaneously initiated attack. This situation was more dangerous than if he went towards Beafōsu, so more offensive measures had to be taken. Taking a short leap, both Waizu no pō and Beafōsu spun towards Lord Raikage at high speeds. They would make a singular straight on jab near his back for Beafōsu and chest for Waizu no pō and then do several more attacks towards the neck and legs respectively. (Passing Fang) (Attacks from behind to back and neck at 45 Str/50 Spe) (Attacks in front to chest and legs at 44 Str/49 Spe) (132/144 AP B & 192/204 AP W)

This was more like it, it seemed his threat on moving towards the bear was taken as he anticipated it. The young ninja had decided now was the opportune moment to begin their assault on the Raikage's body. When things people cherished were put in difficult situations the body tended to naturally want to defend those it cared about, this was no different. It was nice to see the comradeship of ninja and animal, something he hadn't actually seen first hand for some time now, Yukigakure being the last time something like that was shown.

His body shifted sideways to be able to see both attackers now beginning some type of spin maneuver come towards him. The small area would work in his advantage just as he was sure the two fighters also thought it would work in their own, giving him so little room to react. Short movements were all that was needed in times like these as two attackers both attacking from separate directions intent on colliding with each other.

The kage allowed both attacks to begin and start on their destination towards him. At the last moment that he was comfortable with he'd simply step out of the way with a back jump to garner him a slight girth of space between himself and the two tornado's that were set on a trajectory with each other. Maybe they'd knock each other out saving him the effort of doing it himself.

Once they were in the air, Beafōsu realized a mistake she had made. She had always made this plan out to be something that is designed for a slower opponent, but Youka was certainly not slow. He was able to simply sidestep out of the way. He was smart enough too as he did at the last possible second. Once this happened, Beafōsu was in a state of shock. Had she really let a plan she had made be offset by a simple sidestep. Once again, she was being offset by doubts. However, Youka was not the only fast one.

Although he had moved at one point where she and Waizu no pō would surely bump into each other, Beafōsu was able to easily react to this situation. Sure she would not be able to completely stop and do a new action, but she would be able to veer off of her straight course. Using nearly all of her energy, she was able to change her angle ever so slightly to where she could Youka’s new spot, just enough to hit his left arm with her head. Her arms would also be able to hit his abdomen. Waizu caught onto this and was able to also veer out of harm's way by going to the opposite direction of Beafōsu. Once Waizu landed, Beafōsu knew that if she missed this attack, she would be going straight into the wall. It was a risk she had to take. (Still hitting you with the same passing fang from before. Hitting Left arm and stomach with 45 Str/50 Spe).

It was rather strange to see a genin still continue their attack once he had shown the low success rate. Even after his maneuver to remove himself from harm the young woman had still continued on her path albeit slightly altered. The attack hit his armor with force slightly scratching the grey metal and creating small dents over the breastplate. The other part of the attack had missed completely and went in another direction to avoid any collision.

The kage during her assault would reply in kind by punching at the rotation mid spiral with his right arm with enough force to knock the child to the ground. The speed of the punch mattered little as the body was directly next to him, he just needed to ensure he used enough force to halt the spin without causing permanent damage. Mortarion would speak in a suprised manner towards the genin as well as he brushed the area she'd hit with his arm.

"Interesting, once you decide on a course of action I see you stick with it even if it's not the best possible route for you. I commend that."

He'd wave at her with his right hand to continue the attack.

"Please play with me some more."
