Before Yuri could open her eyes, she could feel the pain on her right arm as though she was hit. It would make sense since she could do nothing. Then she could felt a push into her chakra. Why would she need something like that? It would mean Ren just altered her reality via her senses. Yuri opened her eyes to see herself back to reality. Ren was standing beside her to make her wound better. Knowing that she is now steps away from getting it dispelled by herself, she is confident that she would not fall for the same trick again. Ren did made some progress, now will she. Yuri figured that it would be best to prepare before a battle begin and simply made use of the time to make plant a seal containing the ram handseal on her right wrist.

When asked about going without use of genjutsu, Yuri would assume that Ren had something up his sleeves besides genjutsu. Agreeing to not use genjutsu did mean that she won't have to go through the trouble of figuring out her surroundings. However, she figured that Ren would have outnumbered her in terms of flexibility by now. 10 meters away, Her left hand took out a kunai with the sharp end pointing towards the ground without twisting her entire arm for it.Your choice.

Ren chuckled smiling at the girl again, "I wouldn't suggest it if I wasn't comfortable with the idea" Ren said, brushing a strand of hair out of his face and tucking it behind his ear as he spoke. Once Yuri started moving back Ren would do the same, pacing back 10 meters himself until he turned to see the 20 meter gap between them. Externally Ren protected that same self-confidence that Yuri was used to seeing in him; internally however Ren knew he wasn't a close combat fighter, in that Yuri had the advantage, his mind was already running through strategies on how to win this. It was still a spar, and nothing hung in the balance, but Ren was naturally competitive, moreover he felt like he needed to be comfortable fighting in circumstances he wasn't suited for, especially since he had a whole academy of students to look after now.

Ren would gesture for Yuri to get into position, waiting for her to get ready before pulling a Kunai of his own, the same one that had hit her before and hanging it from his bottom finger as he put his hands into the rat symbol. "Ready" Ren said, pausing for a moment as his body tensed up and a bead of sweat ran down his brow, as the bead dropped, falling from the face and falling towards the earth Ren opened his mouth. The bead hit the ground just as the words left Ren's mouth "Begin!" he would say, as his hands immediately flew through two more hand seals and he began to glow, Quickly strafing to the left Ren would begin circling Yuri and building up speed as he waited to see what she would do.

From how Ren replied, he seemed confident is what he will be trying. However, Yuri is running through her thoughts for plans as well. Compared to Ren, she had no combat moves. Her only edge over him might be in competing raw power as she tried to wrestle during the exam. If that gave Ren the idea of trying test Yuri's strength, he would be greatly mistaken. When Ren turned around and was on his way to extend the gap after Yuri had done so, she released the seal on her wrist and extended the gap even further in high speed and continue extending her gap after to dissappear from Ren's vision. She had to know more techniques if she want to be a strong ranged fighter as she decided to run to the village jutsu library to know more.

Ren turned to see the quickly disappearing figure of yuri, racing away, Ren stayed in a combat ready stance for a few moments, allowing himself to focus on the sounds of the world around him, the wind as it blew against his face, rustling the leaves of the trees; the occasional chirp of a bird or croaking of a frog, but Ren could not sense the presence of anyone around him. A thought occurring to him Ren performed the Genjutsu release technique on the off chance that this was Yuri's way of countering his Genjutsu from before. Ren let out a deep breath of relief as the world remained unchanged, 'Ah well I set aside a few hours for this training, I may as well use it' Ren thought to himself and so, assuming Yuri must have given up Ren wandered over to one of the trees and put his back up against the massive log of wood; Still keeping his senses sharp on the off chance that Yuri was still around somewhere Ren pulled out his little black book and began to study, taking the opportunity to review what he had already learned of the Fuinjutsu barrier technique. 'If I can get it to work, this will come in handy if... rather when I find myself stuck in close combat.' Ren thought as he mentally traced the sealing formula in his mind. 

At this point Ren was able to perform most sealing techniques after glancing at the formula a few times, but only if he had a template to follow; for Ren the biggest difficulty was memorising the many complex intricacies of the seal so that he could use it in the field. Glancing up from his book Ren looked towards the sun, A grimace running across his face as he realised how late it was. "Is it that time already?" Ren said aloud as he got up and stretched his body, a loud crack sounding from his left shoulder as the joints snapped back together. "Well I guess I better get going before I'm late for that meeting" Ren said more to himself than anyone else as he wandered of down the hill and back into the village proper.
