Blood Games: 2+2=Violence

(An explanation of what happened and how Hinoki fucked up. 

Kozata moved 3 meters directly forward to get a view of Ren, as Ren was running towards the two genin around the side of the circumference of the concrete circle which hinoki was standing on.

Hinoki, having been facing towards kozata moved 5 meters to his left, in response to Ren channelling chakra into his hand; the same stimulus which caused kozata to move to throw his rock cane thus ending up 2 meters away from kozata and having to be between Ren and Kozata because you cant move 5 meters to your left and then teleport to be behind someone like that. (without some cool techs at least)

Thus Hinoki is standing between kozata and Ren as the rock cane moves towards Ren, Hinoki is thus hit by Kozata's rock section cane)

Ren was just about too fire his Dark river breaking seal when, much to his surprise Hinoki darted 5 meters forward of himself, just... not a very smart move since considering Kozata's positioning, he had placed himself once again directly between Ren and Kozata; this all happening just as Kozata was throwing his Rock cane at his maximum possible throwing speed. The cane having left his hands already would travel the 2 meter distance at a speed of 75, far too fast for Hinoki to move back out of the way if he realised his mistake. Considering the angle and force of impact, coupled with Hinoki having his back to Kozata and a health of only 18 meant that the spear would impact directly on his spinal cord at just below the c5 and c6 vertebra, severing his spinal cord and paralysing him until a medical ninja could heal the wound, just as hinoki was lifting his arm to throw a weapon.

Meanwhile Ren had released his Dark riverbreaking seal, however in response to hinoki moving from his original position and in front of Kozata, Ren had fired his dark river breaking seal at Hinoki's new location, and being unaware of the fact that Hinoki had jumped into the way of Kozata's Spear Ren had decided to fire an additional four bullets of force, in a very slight spread, such that they would have caught any projectiles thrown towards Ren, as he was expecting Hinoki to have thrown some sort of counter to his first attack; Moreover just to be on the safe side once Hinoki had moved to stand between Kozata and Ren the chakra pooling in Ren's hand would also have a second effect on anyone looking at it. Thankfully since Hinoki was using his byakugan he would see Ren's hand no matter what as long as the eye was active. Assuming nothing happened to intervene ren would be quite surprised when all five bolts of force hit Hinoki, two traveling directly forward and colliding with Hinoki's chest  whilst two more would hit his two shoulders, one each, and the final one would hit Hinoki in the sternum.

-Throwing Speed and Distance:
Throwing speed is the average of ones speed and strength +40, travel distance being 1/2 the speed. Throwing speed carries momentum as well as speed, allowing it to do damage strength wise the same as its speed.

[An explanation of why Ren's post doesn't work: Since you already displayed the signs of casting the jutsu, i.e. the marks on your arm, it's far too late to cancel. It would be like trying to cancel a fireball after the flame is half-way formed, or like trying to "cancel" a gunshot as the bullet is already halfway down the barrel. It just can't be done. As such, most of your post is now void. Also, I'm throwing my pencil at a fraction of the speed that Hinoki is throwing his shuriken. However, you are still able to fire the normal one-bolt DRBS at Hinoki's new position.]

Due to Kozurou's windup to his throw being at 30 speed, the throw itself would be initiated just before Hinoki got to his destination 2 meters away from Kozurou. As such, the pencil itself would hit Hinoki who had basically positioned himself right in front of a 75 speed full-force stone section cane. God, what an idiot, Kozurou thought to himself, looking at Hinoki. Was he the only competent genin in the village? However, due to stuff out of his control, the shuriken that Hinoki managed to throw while the pencil was still two-thirds of the way to his back successfully impacted Ren's chest. The beam that Ren had fired from the seal previously passed directly between the two shuriken, impaling Hinoki in the chest as well. The power/sharpness of these techniques made it so that all of these attacks were fatal.


Fucking idiots, Kozurou thought to himself. Should everything happen as per normal, Kozurou would walk toward the corpses, Hinoki's more specifically, and begin kicking it in ribs over and over again at 40 strength with his right foot.

"God dammit! You fucking dumbass! Stupid shit can't even dodge right! Gaaaaah!" He took out his rage on the boy's body, venting out his frustration that the match hadn't been more... well, intelligent. Seriously, it was like he had been playing with pre-schoolers. And that Ren had just stood there and taken those shuriken too... Fuck it, at least he himself hadn't been hurt.

Looking to the Mizukage, he awaited the judgement.

Ren watched it shock and horror as Hinoki's head snapped backwards his spine severed by a force coming from behind just as Ren's own blows collided with Hinoki's body. As Hinoki fell Ren saw a rock cane protruding from his back, 'did that idiot really just step in front of an attack?' Ren thought in genuine surprise and confusion as the boy's body fell and hit the ground. If Ren was a little more inexperienced he would probably have frozen at that point, but the bloodlust coming from the remaining boy, coupled with living through the fall of old kirigakure no sato, meant that Ren's mind had clicked over into, for lack of a better term 'combat mode'

Ren grasped a pair of a Kunai, by the hilt, off of his belt and threw one of them forward, timing the blade so that it would pass just over the falling body of Hinoki which up until that point would have been obscuring the other boy's view of the oncoming weapon. Assuming it all went as planed the blade would fly over Hinoki's body and only become visible once it was less than two meters away from Kozata, moving at 70 ((10+50/2)+40) speed and if it went to plan would strike Kozata in the chest, a wound that would clearly mark the end of the battle, but not one that Ren would be unable to heal. The whole time Ren would be watching to see if anything happened that might change his actions.

Blade has a sharpness of 85 (50+35)

As Hinoki's neck snapped back, Kozurou dropped into a combat stance out of sheer reflex. Right leg slightly behind and to the right of his left, knees bent just a little, and left hand slightly extended at chest level, palm toward the enemy. So, his useless teammate had been eliminated. Good. He always liked a challenge. It came at him a little faster than he liked, in the form of an abusably sharp kunai. As the kunai came to a distance of 2 feet away from hitting his chest, Kozurou's left hand, which he had already extended to the appropriate length (at a speed of 30) would move to Kozurou's right, and he would use his left index finger to curl through the ring at the end of the kunai, stopping it despite its great travelling power. In order to not get his finger injured, Kozurou would pivot his torso slightly to carry some of the momentum.

With a grin on his face and a watchful eye on that other kunai, Kozurou would re-align his body at 30 speed, and with a flick of his wrist (also at 30 speed) throw back the kunai at 75 power and speed, and as such, it would have a sharpness of about 87 or so. This would be aimed directly at Ren's left vagus nerve, where it ran tangent to Ren's carotid. The kunai (sharp end first, obviously) would be thrown in such a way that its wide face would be horizontal rather than vertical, so even with one or two deviances in pathing, it might still hit something.

Immediately after the kunai left his hand, Kozurou would return his body to the previously mentioned battle stance. If anything within these events happened abnormally, Kozurou would change his actions accordingly, though that hopefully wouldn't happen.

Just as the Kunai was clearing Hinoki's head Ren saw the boy, his hands in a guard, of course Ren would not have expected the boy to be able to catch a Kunai in mid air... Ren would have to make a point of remembering such a thing was possible in future. 
The instant Ren saw Kozai's hand move to catch the blade Ren would lift his other hand, the one not holding a kunai, up; palm outstretched as chakra gathered in it, starting to move towards the boy at a speed of 25, the instant that the the boy threw the blade back Ren would release the dark river breaking seal again and release 5 bolts of force from the seal, the first would hit the kunai head on, the force dispersing throughout the blade and slowing it down to a speed of 15 as the second bolt struck the blade, just slightly on the underside, sending the blade spinning back in the direction of Kozata at a speed of 45, the spinning blade angling such that it would strike him in his left shoulder, bladed side first. The collision would of course happen just after the 6 meter mark between the two of them. Moreover the third bolt would be heading directly for the boy's chest, whilst unless Ren felt the need to adjust his aim the other two bolts would be fired to kozata's left and right such that if he tried to dodge in either direction they would strike him when he moved in that direction. Of course this could all change if something occured to make Ren think that the boy might be baiting him into a trap or if Ren saw an opening to strike the boy with a more detrimental attack.

AP 366 - 40  = 326

The chakra bolts, which were the burning, searing kind rather than the puncturing kind, would naturally have no effect on the kunai, similar to how a tongue of fire would have no effect on its momentum. It would impact into the boy's vagus nerve, as stated before, damaging it and causing the boy's blood pressure and heart rate to go out of control, rendering him unconscious in mere instants. He'd need medical treatment at some point in the near future, but that wasn't Kozurou's concern. What was, however, was the bolt headed toward his chest. As soon as the bolt was emitted, Kozurou stretched forth his left hand as far as he could from his body, straight forward, palm facing forward as well, initiating the block technique.

The bolt would hit the palm of his hand with reduced force, giving him an extremely severe burn and destroying several nerves and muscles, leaving his palm a steaming mess of charred flesh. It didn't hurt that much, which was a bad sign. He knew that he'd have to receive medial treatment as well, but at least he'd won. He raised his burnt hand in victory (circumstances pending).

Ren saw the blade move through the chakra bolts; almost as if physics were being weird, a thought that was mirrored by the general weirdness of this entire endeavors. Whatever the reason it was clear that this boy was too strong for Ren to be fighting at half force, especialy while trying to save that blasted fool of a took boy; Ren quickly made a hand sign, his hands being close together from firing the bolt and used the body flicker technique to move at the speed of 150; breaking the limit that he had been keeping himself to for the battle and moving backwards and slightly to the left out of the path of the kunai before stopping next to the body of Hinoki. Lifting his hand up Ren would speak aloud "I yield, This boy has proven himself strong enough to be a chunin; although I would rather you look after your comrades more." Ren said with a nod to Hinoki before he bent down and picked up the boy's body in his arms, eyes still on Kozata in case the boy didn't get that this battle was done before Ren rushed the boy out of the arena and over too the makeshift hospital that Ren had set up earlier.

Body Flicker

This has been a rather dull affair, Xyxer had to say. That was, of course, until the sudden snap of a spinal column alerted him to something.. greater. This Blood Games.. it was.. beautiful. It almost brought a tear to his eye from the joy it brought him, and his attention was immediately captivated by the gladitorial duel that was now going to unfold. Sure, there had been a few shinobi who bailed, but they would be punished in due time. Now, there was a death most likely, and it looked as if there was about to be another one before Ren voluntarily lost the fight. It was strange for one of his shinobi to be willing to lose.. almost uncharacteristic of the village. Perhaps this was a sign that the village was changing, yet ironically.. this fight had awoken something deep inside Xyxer. It was.. phenomenal. The rush that washed over him was incredible. Standing up to address the people before Ren fucked off like a pleb medic, he looked around at the villagers who seemed somewhat surprised to see an actual display of brutality.

"And so ends the Blood Games. An interesting display by all parties involved, with a true display of our values. We have witnessed the strengths.." Xyxer paused for a moment before glancing at the boy who had practically folded over himself, "And the weaknesses, of our future. They will be adequately rewarded for this fine display, with what they deserve." With that, Xyxer would vault over the edge of the arena to stand within it himself. Of course, he expected the participants to kneel as soon as he entered, with Ren to stop his actions with Hinoki, however.. this is where he wanted to challenge the boy. To see who he really was. "You two, kneel beside one another, and you will both receive my blessing to become Chuunin of our village. For one of you, it will be the first time you've had this glory attached to your name, for the other.. this is the first time you will receive the knighting of such a glory." With that, Xyxer's hand reached behind himself to heave the hulking form of Samehada from his back, holding it in his left hand while it was propped on his shoulder, awaiting the reactions of the others. He expected Ren knew the consequences of continuing on his path to aid Hinoki, and was very interested in seeing the consequences of this challenge to his character.

As someone who was a martial practitioner, Kozurou had to disregard all of his instincts saying "trap!" in more ways than one. Ren's concern for the idiot boy who was supposed to be Kozurou's partner disgusted him. He'd been weak and stupid, which was why he had lost. Jumping right in front of an attack? His mind could barely wrap around the sheer idiocy of it. Still, he knelt, descending to one knee and facing his kage as was respectful. Discipline and obedience had been ingrained into the boy, not as part of some training, but from his own willpower. 

He would keep an eye out for Ren in case he tried anything stupid. He fully trusted in the presence of his kage more than anyone else there, and expected Ren to stab Kozurou in the back, even after the "declaration" he had just made. It had been in this fight, more than anywhere else that Kozurou had felt his own inadequacy as a shinobi. He was far too weak to protect anyone in the village, much less take on some random long-haired dude. He could feel that there was overwhelming potential within him, all he had to do was take out the effort to develop it.
