Chuunin Exams: Exam 2

Komon had been walking down a long narrow hallway for quite sometime before it split, with his byakugan active and his chakra being suppressed he soon saw two chakra signatures to the right, they however seemed to be standing behind a wall, so he headed right thinking it to be his only option. After a bit of walking he opened the door to the left to reveal what seemed to be a barren room. “So where the hell am I supposed to go” He thought to himself before backtracking down the long hallway he had come in from, the hallway was easily more than a hundred meters out, and Komon new that, that was the maximum reach of the chakra sensory technique senshi had taught him long ago, once he was sure he had made the distance he stopped suppressing his chakra and made the clone hand seal by pressing together both his pointing and middle fingers on each hand to make the shape of a cross.

Once this was done he would talk over the plan of action with the clone before the two began to proceed.

The clone nodded as his creator laid out the battle plan for him and began to activate its byakugan and then suppress its chakra before moving slowly down the hallway back to the fork, the clone would would take a right, towards the chakra signatures covered by the wall. Komon had noticed earlier that the wall was in fact a wooden barrier and easily breakable, but he knew that doing so would create a loud noise that would be sure to attract attention. The young gennin crouched as he neared the wall drawing two kunai slowly.

So Komon had taken it upon himself to offer up the clone as bait, The carbon copy of Komon was now right next to the twins, their backs resting firmly against the wooden barrier in front of him, Komon was hoping to do this stealthily but now he was going to have to break from that plan, and so early in his exam, “God I hope this works” The clone would think before beginning to power up lightning javelin, this process happened at Komon’s reaction time. The technique required no handseals and could be activated at a moment's notice. As the jutsu surrounded the clone he surged electricity into the kunai he was wielding.

From point blank range he would throw the kunai at 155 speed, with 127 sharpness and health, through the wooden barrier, and towards each of the twins necks aiming for their brainstem, his byakugan was capable of following their body parts through the wooden structure which gave him a significant advantage. as the kunai pierced the barrier and zoomed towards their target, the clone would follow closely behind crashing through the barrier and prepared to clothesline the both of them with lightning javelin, in the event they dodged the kunai, (Speed 130, Strength 100)

Komon however went to the left at the fork in the hallway and re entered the large empty room, before his clone would initiate its assault on the unsuspecting victims behind that wall Komon would use the wall climbing technique to reach the sealing before lifting one of the panels to the false ceiling and hiding himself within, placing the panel perfectly back where it had been resting. Now concealed in the darkness that was the old dusty attic of the exam room, Komon would scan the area with his byakugan and watch as his clone began its assault, from a safe concealed distance.

Komon spectated closely as the clone began its assault and drew its kunai, Sweating excessively as he did so, partially because the ceiling space had no air conditioning and partially because he was panicking. He hated the idea of killing people, and even more so despised the idea of doing it from behind, but he knew it was necessary from what he had been told every single person in this arena was stronger than him, and every single one was out to kill him. It didn’t however mean that he had to be happy about it. His heart was racing...

Komon watched from the roof with his byakugan still active as the clone obliterated the two men in his path, from here the kill seemed oddly impersonal, as his clone struck the man down it was almost like another person was doing the killing and Komon wasn’t at fault. This relaxed him for a second, then he realized the second that clone poofed out of existence its memories would become Komon’s own, and the scenery the smell, the feel, and moment would all become much more real to him. There was no escaping it… He had just killed two men, twins no less, just like him and his brother.

He hoped that the men had committed some horrible crime to end up in the position they just had, and that Komon had secretly been doing the world a favor by erasing them like his clone just had.

Realizing he had been sitting in the attic for quite a long time and his clone still remained unharmed he began to deduce that the crash hadn’t alerted anyone but waited another thirty or so more seconds before deciding to get up and do something. Slowly he picked the panel back up before he dropped down to the ground, landing silently as he did so and making his way back outside from the empty room he had hidden in. It was time to do something about the bodies, if he went further into the maze and the shinobi decided to circle back and found two bodies it would be a sure sign that he had entered the maze and would give away the element of surprise he was so heavily relying on.

Seconds later he walked up on the now destroyed wooden barrier that his clone had so harshly assaulted and looked his clone in what appeared to be sad eyes before looking at the bloody mess in front of him. The sight made him want to hurl as he looked at his kunai now lodged in the back of the formerly identical twins, their wounds now clearly setting them apart. “Jesus Christ” He would mutter aloud. He would then tell his clone that he intended to hide the bodies in the ceiling he had been taking shelter in just seconds ago, and could tell he agreed when the clone nodded in response. The gennin and his clone would then start moving lifting the now lifeless bodies over his shoulder, and turning back towards the empty room in unison, moving at equal pace.

Komon would then drop the body he had been carrying on the floor and use the surface walking technique to lodge himself back in the ceiling before extending his hand downwards towards his clone. The clone in turn handed him the body that had been resting on its own shoulders and Komon would then pull it in until it was resting firmly in the attic before repeating the process with the remaining body. With both corpses now in the attic Komon would hop out and place the tile back once more, knowing that the bodies wouldn’t be found until the end of the exam, and desperately hoping they would get them afterwards, that stench would be unbearable if they rested there for too long.

Komon then left the room side by side with his clone and made his way back to the intersection where it split three ways. He had the option to either go forwards, to the left or to the right, luckily whatever decision he made he would only have to leave one of the possibilities out, he intended to divide and conquer after all.

“I’ll Go Left” He whispered to the clone before taking off down the long narrow hallway using his byakugan to scan ahead for any potential danger.

Surface Walking - 1 AP

Komon’s Clone listened intently as his creator went left, and signaled for him to pick a direction as well. He waited about 10 seconds, in thought before deciding to go forward, architecturally speaking it made more sense for that hallway to end up closer to the original Komon and he wanted to be nearby for backup if that happened to be the case.

“I Guess I’ll go forward” He muttered to no one in particular, before treading onwards down his path, with his byakugan active as well.

Byakugan - 1 AP

Komon blinked with astonishment as he rounded the corner only to see that he had been brought back to the exact spot he had been standing in earlier with his clone. Apparently the left and right path just formed a giant circle, and had completely wasted Komon’s time. He sighed in annoyance before thinking “Maybe my clone is having better luck”

The clone however was not having better luck as Komon had so hoped

A loud boom could be heard emanating from the hall…. “Or not” Komon would say in mild disappointment, his element of surprise was now gone, if it hadn’t already been. Now aware of the traps Komon proceeded down the hall using the surface walking technique to walk while hanging from the ceiling as to avoid any pressure plates or trip wires while keeping his eye open for any chakra based or physical based activators on the ceiling with his byakugan. His Fuma shuriken drawn and ready to be used on any incoming chakra signatures
