Senshi stood awkwardly outside the Raikage’s office. The secretary, if that is what she was had taken to ignoring him after the first five minutes of his waiting. He had arrived thirty minutes early to his appointment time, partially through nerves and partially because he wanted to make a good impression. Senshi was standing at an overly rigid position of attention his back to the wall but without touching it. He wasn’t carrying Bastuodosodo as she was currently undergoing a very delicate process, akin to surgery. She needed this upgrade, but it was nerve wracking for the young Genin to not be carrying her after spending so much time with her on his back.
 
In the least he still had his two tanto’s strapped to his hips, and though everything about him was covered by the long flowing black cloak his obvious usage of weapons in other missions would undoubtedly have been noted by the other shinobi. So they would know what his specialty was, and the amount of weapons he normally carried on himself. He had awoken this morning, conducted a mild amount of warm up training in order to keep his body fit, but to be honest the entirety of his morning and time since he had exited the second exam had been incredibly nerve wracking. He knew that he had ‘barely’ passed two of the missions, one a pre exam mission and the other an actual exam mission.
 
With the knowledge that he had undoubtedly made many a mistake during his Second exam he was rightfully fearing whether he would achieve the promotion he had been working so hard for. He briefly wondered if any of the other candidates taking the exam had managed to be promoted yet or if he would be the first. It would be an honor to the boy to be the first to have finished these exams, especially considering how much time and effort he had put into ensuring he was everything that the village could wish for in a shinobi, let alone a Chuunin. Senshi knew the dishonor he would bring on his family if he did fail here however, and that was the main cause behind his nerves and fear.
 
He couldn’t bring that down on his family without at least considering committing Seppukku for his failure. No one had failed so strongly in his family before and they followed the old traditions, and that meant Senshi himself would need to follow if the Raikage deemed him too weak to continue forwards as a Shinobi of Kumogakure. Senshi took a deep breath, hazel eyes hardening and his breathing leveling out as he pushed all the thoughts away. He didn’t have time to consider all the repercussions if he were to fail. Instead he would need to practice focusing on what would happen if he passed, if he was made a Chuunin of his village.
 

That mean that at times he would be responsible for his own team of shinobi. He would undoubtedly have to train a team of Genin much like he, Reizo, and Max had been when Itami-taichou first met them. Senshi was sure that both of his teammates were close behind him in completing the exams themselves, and had actually been expecting them to wear the chuunin vest any day now. Senshi wondered briefly if he would be promoted along with his team, considering the amount of experience they had racked up with their C ranks. Let alone all the D Ranks the boy had completed. He let loose another long breath drawing an annoyed look from the secretary but he choose not to say anything. He made a mental note that if he was promoted that he would speak to Itami-taichou about how to be a good commander. The man had led them through a pretty treacherous mission and he was a Jounin. Senshi’s head turned sharply towards the Raikage’s door as he saw the time on the clock striking his appointment time.
