Re: A Burning Torch (Mission, P)

The way she had been silenced left Aiko feeling quite... perplexed. In fact, the entire day had left her in a state of confusion. It was strange how she continued to go along with it, considering most people would do otherwise. Then again, she was not most people, simply a timid young girl.
As she followed behind the blue-haired woman, her thoughts continued to travel. Mere moments ago she already confirmed they were exiting the building, however, what would they do after reaching their destination (wherever that could be). But perhaps she could allow herself to stop thinking? Maybe she could simply "go with the flow" as people put it? There was no need to put so much thought into everything, was there... The raven was broken out of her slight stupor as the lady's appearance suddenly began to change. It forced Aiko's amber eyes to widen in shock and wonder. Was that a jutsu?!
By the time they reached the school yard, the teen was feeling slightly exhausted. She had not spent more than 15 minutes within a legitimate shinobi environment, and already she felt overwhelmed. Fortunately (or was it unfortunate?), this trend would continue.
Upon being shown the techniques, and she payed close attention to them, she blankly gazed at the woman before staring down at her hands, clenching and unclenching them. It was her turn to attempt performing a jutsu... Aiko's eyes began to sparkle from eagerness and apprehension. There were two options, failure or success. She would... prefer to have the latter.
Unsure, she went through the motions for the first technique. Transformation, was it? The hand seals were clumsily made, that much was clear, and it was expected considering her severe lack of training. But her determination was admirable; she went through the seals once more as she attempted to conduct the jutsu, doing her best to evade any mistakes. The girl remembered from her time spent at the library, and from eavesdropping on conversations at her workplace, to draw chakra from inside her. Even an image was kept in her head for when she completed the technique, if she was capable of performing the technique. And for a first try, it was difficult. She could feel herself struggling, and actually failed once or two times at properly bringing it out. She was no longer sure if this task was possible for her.
That is, until she opened her eyes on her third attempt.
Of course, she closed them each time after using the required hand seals; doing so was the best way for her concentrate. What was shown to her brightly colored orbs was a sight different from her normal appearance. Her clothes were different colors, and baggier. Shoulders? More broad. Her hair? Short, but still in a dark shade of brown. From the outside, anyone that had been in the classroom could tell: she had transformed into the first boy who spoke up against the blue-haired lady. Aiko surely would have transformed into someone else... if those children hadn't left such an impression on her. Really, how could they be so audacious? She ignored the small sting of jealousy that erupted within her.
I can't stop. No, not yet, she thought, canceling the technique. Next up was the clone jutsu... and she was somewhat positive that with acquiring the correct feeling of using chakra, things this time around would be far easier. The hand seals were not forgotten though, and once again they were done without confidence. But with a trained eye, the movements could be considered smoother than before, as if the seals were not as foreign to her. Small steps were being taken, one at a time.
After only failing on her first try, Aiko was soon able to perform the clone technique. Two separate copies of herself were seemingly conjured from thin air. In awe at the spectacle, the teen tried waving her arms through them one at a time, watching with interest as her limbs passed made contact with simply air. So, they weren't real after all.
A content grin found its way to her lips, and she turned to the (kind) blue-haired woman in happiness. "H-how did I d-do!?" she asked in raw excitement, barely managing to get her words out properly.

Shiroi did not really have any real desire to stand around while someone messed around with themselves. Instead, she walked over a relatively short distance to where there were some high bars. Shiroi had no idea what the school yard had a real, full sized high bar, but she appreciated it. High bar been something she found very fun after recovering from her time in the hospital. She obviously was not amazing at it, but she also didn't stop practicing. Maybe she was not world class material, but she was quick possible the best amateur in Haven. Maybe. There were not many high bar competitions to spectate to find out one way or another.
So there Shiroi was, realizing that her... height challenged nature would make it difficult to reach the bar. She could jump fairly high, and certainly have reached it as such, but it still seemed annoying to her. So be it, though. Of course, before she went spinning, she would need to do something about her 'clothing'. The 'hoodie' would need to become something much closer fitting. The 'shorts'... well those were actually fine, they would not chafe her because she made sure they could not. Her hair, though, that would be annoying. So, with a single hand seal, the 'hoodie' became a leotard-like piece of clothing. At the same time, her hair grew short, not even half an inch long, and some glove-like pieces grew over her hands. Transformation complete, and Aiko between her first and second attempt at transformation, Shiroi would jump up onto the bars and grab hold. With fluid movement, she would raise her legs above the bar, and so it began. She only did spins and some simple flips. She still needed to pay some attention to Aiko, so Shiroi did not want to accidentally launch herself by a lapse of concentration.
By virtue of still paying attention to Aiko, Shiroi would hear when the girl asked how she did. With a large drop and a flourishing dismount, Shiroi would land and walk over to Aiko. "Surprisingly well, I must admit. I did not expect you to get it down so fast."
