The First Step Of Success. Kon's Genin Exam
Tue Feb 21, 2017 7:13 pm
Konjaku lounged lazily in the front row of his class. His feet were propped up on the table before him as he leaned precariously backward in his seat. Balancing his chair on two of the four legs he pretended to doze off while he used his interlaced hands as a pillow of sorts. While waiting for his own name to be called he would snore obnoxiously when students other than himself were called. Eventually, his fellow students had caught on and each snore gained more giggles and snickers than the last. Where he once felt awkward in a room full of students just over half his own age he had eventually found comfort in this classroom. Not only was he able to take a more callous approach to being in a position of leadership, being the oldest in his class, but he was also able to revel in the innocent tomfoolery he couldn't partake of in his home life. Caring for his mother had become a full-time job and left little room for the typical fun and games expected of children. Today, however, was a day of unbridled excitement for the "Purple Eyed Mastermind." A name his fellow students had graciously bestowed upon him after upping the ante of their pranks from simple chalk erasers over door sills to bait and switch buckets of ice cold water and bugs. On one particular day, a bucket of ice cold water was placed atop the door, and a bucket of spiders had been dumped into the teacher's desk. While prepared for the water, the unsuspecting teacher was not equipped to handle the multitude of spiders in his desk. Konjaku developed a sense of belonging in this classroom that he would be remiss not to acknowledge. While he would miss this classroom and its memories deeply, he held a deep sense of pride in finally being able to leave this place behind. Today was the final step in his academic career, and the first step of success in his ninja career. Today was the genin exams!

Re: The First Step Of Success. Kon's Genin Exam

Senshi was on the training fields working with some of the new Genin on their wind techniques, it was a rather rare occurance all things considered. Normally he worked with the kids on their lightning element since he was ridiculously proficient at lightning. Today however the usual Wind element instructor had found herself busy and couldn’t assist so she had stopped by and asked Senshi if he could take her shift. He hadn’t minded all that much considering that he was on call to proctor the Genin exam today and the Wind nature training ended fifteen minutes before the Exams began. Plenty of time for him to get back to the class room and begin the Genin exams on time, considering his speed.
“Kohei, work on focusing your chakra to be sharper.” He called out to the first year academy student who was currently trying to slice a leaf in half with his chakra. He wasn’t a prodigy and Senshi didn’t really expect him to go far. Then again, Senshi himself had failed his first Genin exam so maybe the boy would turn himself around and get better at it. Senshi focused on using his own chakra to create a small gust of wind around one of the students to better show him how to use it. The boy was working on bringing his wind chakra to the second stage of training. It couldn’t just be sharp but you had to begin to learn how to make breezes with your chakra.
It wasn’t exactly difficult, but it was something that Senshi recommended new shinobi practice on if they wanted to get proficient with their wind nature. Looking up at the sky Senshi noticed that it was time to move to the class room for the Genin exams. He took a quick moment to survey the kids who were practicings before speaking. “This class is now over, feel free to go about your days as you normally would. I do, however suggest that you continue training for the next session. Have a good day.” Senshi gave a polite nod to the academy students before moving quickly towards the academy buildings and navigating his way to the class room.
Stepping inside just as the time for the exam was to start he noted that the nine students who were supposed to take the exam today were here. Surverying the class he noted one student, much older than the others pretending to sleep. Ignoring the kids obviously disrespectful behavior for now he cleared his throat. “You are all here for the Genin Exam, I will call your names, when I do so come to the front and I will give you your instructions.” With that Senshi lifted his clipboard scanning the names before deciding to start with the last name first. “Shohei, you’re up.” The first boy rose quickly and came down to the podium.
As he did so Senshi’s eyes narrowed on the pretending to sleep academy student who had let loose a loud snore. Focusing back on the student in front of him Senshi delivered his intructions and watched as the boy performed the techniques. With a nod he handed the boy a head band and sent him on the way. “Aiko, you’re up.” The girl with light pink, reddish hair stood up and came to the front and Senshi felt a violent tick developing in his right eyebrow at the purple haired student snored even louder this time. Looking at the girl as she approached he grabbed an unsharpened pencil off the podium before speaking.
“Excuse me, one moment.” With a polite nod he then threw the pencil at the sleeping student, aiming directly for his head. Considering he threw it at a speed of fifty five, it would more than likely strike the boy square in the forehead. Considering his own strength was a 10 as well, the force of the pencil striking the boys forehead would more than likely completely knock him out of his seat onto the floor. He directed a steely eyed glare to the rest of the class, silencing them immediately before anyone could utter a laugh at the academy student’s predicament. Looking at the chart he noted the boy’s name before speaking in a harsh tone.
“Academy Student Konjaku, if you’re going to be so disrespectful you can stand until your name is called and consider how impolite you are being to your peers.” Finishing off with a final glare at the entirety of the class he uttered the instructions to the female student and waited while she performed the techniques. Unfortunately she failed to perform the henge correctly and Senshi was forced to fail her. Giving a quiet bit of suggestions to help her perform better the next time he turned his eyes to the blue haired student. “Konjaku, to the podium if you will.”
Waiting for the boy to come to the podium Senshi continued to glare at him the entire way, steely hazel eyes showing now compassion. Once the boy had arrived Senshi would continue speaking, “Perform the Henge and Clone technique. Also due to your rudeness you will perform the substitution jutsu as well. Give me examples when each of these three jutsu would be improper to use. You may proceed.” Senshi lifted his clip board slightly preparing to write any notes on the boy as he waited to observe what he was going to do.

Re: The First Step Of Success. Kon's Genin Exam

Kon had heard the proctor ask for a moment and then immediately felt an object peg him in the forehead with enough force to knock him back from his chair. With no time to react to the object Kon was only able to react to the fall and tightened his fingers behind his head so he wouldn’t slam it against the ground. He hit the floor with an audible thud while his chair clambered to the ground in front of him. When Kon opened his eyes he immediately caught the proctor in his sights but instead of glowering or rubbing his forehead where a newly formed knot had appeared beneath the imprint of the pencil he simply smiled like he had not a single care in the world. Though his smile was convincing, he was unable to stop the involuntary twitch of anger his right eye made. He picked himself up off of the floor and then proceeded to return his chair to its place. While doing so he noticed the pencil that hit him just moments ago. ‘Impressive’ Kon thought with an audible, “Hmph.” After hearing the proctor proclaim his punishment he nodded as he flashed a devilish grin in response to the man’s glare. In an act of childish protest Konjaku spun in circles on his left heel until his name was called.
When he was finally called to take the exam and was told he would also have to perform the substitution jutsu his heart sank. ‘Well shit. I guess I should have practiced that one too. Looks like I’m gonna have to try again next year. This means I’ll have to convince mother and the chances of that are less likely than her burying me next to my siblings. I guess she’ll have to go before I get another shot at this. Was gonna have to happen sooner or later’ Kon thought while maintaining an empty headed expression. The fact that he hadn’t thought of killing her sooner amazed him. It would have been the simplest thing to live alone long before fifteen and he was seventeen now. Kill or be killed. An archaic, but effective survival tactic. Kon let out a sigh of boredom as he didn’t even have to think twice about when an improper time to use any of these jutsu would be. “An improper time to use any of these jutsu would be during consensual sex.” He said through an almost innocent smile. What was left of the class taking the exam erupted into hysterical laughter. Thank goodness Kon had given his class “The Talk“ otherwise that joke would have fallen flatter than an earth wall jutsu.
Without missing a beat he began the circulation of his chakra and then preformed the hand seals dog, boar, and ram as fast he could. As the smoke cleared, tight leggings gripped his legs like starving dogs would a t-bone steak. Leaving every curve and crevice as visible as the sky on a clear day. A sports bra fought a double D bust from escaping freely into the open air and seemed to be winning by the slimmest of margins. His facial features became less angular and more feminine. His hair shortened and became a lighter shade of purple. He developed bangs. Four of which clawed left while the fifth gently curved around the right side of his face. His eyes remained purple, however, the bottom half of his iris' became the most brilliant shade of blue. Kon had become every randy teenager's dream and his worst nightmare all at the same time. His mother with huge boobs and a much larger set of hindquarters in the skimpiest gymnast outfit he could imagine. “Big handsome man like you would know a thing or two about sex. Wouldn’t you?” Kon said in a mockingly seductive tone before blowing a kiss and dispelling the jutsu
Without saying another word he effortlessly performed the hand seals ram, snake, and tiger while he focused his chakra. He successfully managed to use the clone jutsu and created two clones of himself. Each appearing in their own puff of familiar smoke. The first, on his left, stood with his arms crossed and glowered at the exam proctor. The willingness to punch this proctor was written all over its face. The second, on his right, smiled gently while wrapping its hands continuously over one another expressing a gentle and awkward kindness. Kon himself maintained a maniacal grin and his typical aloof stance. His torso slightly slouched and feet cocked at just enough of an angle to bolt out of a situation if he needed to. “Two for three.” He and his clones said in unison before Kon himself dispelled the jutsu. “As for the substitution jutsu,” Kon began while scratching his head. “I kinda don’t know that one yet, Teach.” Kon chuckled. “I still pass, right?”

Re: The First Step Of Success. Kon's Genin Exam

Senshi was beginning to hate, no that word was entirely too nice, he was beginning to utterly loathe academy students. After this he would be handing all of his duties at working at the academy over to Hyuuga Komon and that guy could deal with all this nonsense. Plus Komon was the newest Chuunin in the village so just as when Senshi had been first promoted, Komon would now have to take the shit details that no one else wanted to do. Like proctoring Genin Exams for grade a idiots like this purple haired menace. Senshi’s eyebrow twitching minutely as the boy, well man really but boy in attitude, began to spin in place.
His fingers itched to throw the pencil he was currently using to mark down Aiko’s grade. How he wished he had hurled that previous pencil with all his speed and strength and sent it flying so that it had embedded in the boys brain. However, somewhere in Senshi’s brain Aki’s voice echoed throughout telling him that he shouldn’t kill people. That it was wrong. Still… maybe just this once? No, no he needed to be calm, collected, and most of all controlled. He was a Chuunin and letting some academy student irritate him was above his station.
Letting loose the air he had just held in his lungs for several moments Senshi focused on reattaing his center. Woosah. Don’t kill the knucklehead, purple haired menace. No matter how annoying he was. As the student stepped to the podium and gave his answer as to when the techniques would be improper to use Senshi merely cocked his head to the side for a moment before silencing the class with a glare. “The next student who makes a noise out of turn automatically fails.” His voice was cold enough to cut glass and a somber mood began to take over.
It was clear that Senshi was not the type of instructor to mess with. This was a Genin Exam after all and should be treated as the important affair that it was. Not like some big joke. As the student formed the hand signs at a pathetically slow speed compared to many others that Senshi had proctored the Chuunin made a mark on his clipboard. He watched as the man before him became a woman. Once the transformation was complete and the man turned woman spoke to Senshi he merely raised an eyebrow in confusion as he walked around the henged student evaluating his henge.
Making another mark he looked up and spoke, his tone even, controlled, and utterly icy. “What is sex?” He waited for the student to explain what he was referring to, though suddenly it seemed like the entire classroom had emptied from how quiet it was. It was almost as though all of the students had forgotten to breath at the Chuunin’s questions. Then again in fairness Senshi did appear far older than he actually was. Considering he was in real age only ten it made sense that he had no idea what sex was. The Age pills he had taken to progress his appearance did not make him more mature or bestow knowledge to him that someone his appearing age should have.
He had also seen no point in studying human procreation, or really any type of procreation because he had been so focused on becoming a better shinobi. The fact that he had yet to enter a real puberty left this topic a complete unknown to him. Hence we have arrived at our awkward situation where Senshi had to ask a student of all things to explain what sex was, and why consensual sex would be a bad or improper time to use any of the techniques that the student was supposed to know. Senshi’s completely impassive face simply showed that he had no emotions what so ever concerning this.
As the man turned woman created three clones, Senshi looked between them before giving a light shrug and performing several hand seals entirely too fast for anyone in the class to keep up. Focusing on scaling back his chakra he released it unleashing a powerful enough wind at the student to knock him back onto his posterior and dispel the two clones he had created. Senshi was greatly irritated at the boys casual attitude and once his burst of wind had been unleashed he finished marking on the paper sheet he had. “By the rules of Kumogakure you pass, however as a Chuunin I find you severely lacking I the qualities that a Genin of Kumogakure should have.”
Senshi’s steely eyed glare brooked no argument from the purple haired student. If he did argue then Senshi would perform the hand signs for another wind technique and blow him backwards onto his backside again before continuing. “You will receive your headband and the title of a Genin of Kumogakure, however you will meet me at five am at training ground three for remedial training before you are assigned a Genin team. Do you understand?” Senshi continued to glare waiting for the man to give his acceptance of the orders before reaching back onto the podium and tossing him a headband. “You may leave, file this paperwork with the front desk. You received a 70% on this exam and are thus the dead last of the graduating class.”
Senshi offered the paper to the boy before looking at the next name on the list and calling for the student to come before him. He would completely ignore Konjaku’s exit and his steely glare and obviously mean persona and earlier threats would prevent the class from laughing at anything else that Konjaku may attempt to do. If they did do anything then Senshi would fail the student immediately and send them out of the room. His threats were not to be taken lightly and if these students couldn’t follow basic orders than they shouldn’t be Genin of the hidden cloud village.

Konjaku was completely and utterly baffled by this chuunin's apparently genuine question as to what sex was. So shocked in fact that he couldn't find the words to say. Awkwardly they sat in silence for a few moments before he completed the second half of his exam. After being knocked on his posterior by a sudden gust of wind Konjaku was told he had passed the exam. Everything else was secondary information. Although he heard every word his mind hung on the concept of graduation. "70% is still passing!" Kon said with a smile that actually reached his eyes. This one time Konjaku let his face say it all. He was elated. He was experiencing pure joy comparable to ecstasy. As he snatched the paperwork and rushed to the front office he shouted, "Thanks, Teach! Cya tomorrow, and bring a notepad! You're gonna want to take notes!"
At the front office, he received his headband, a disappointed look, and half-hearted congratulations. He couldn't be bothered to be affected by what these people thought. He had finally graduated. He had finally become a ninja. Although this was the first step it was a success and that's all that mattered. He ran all the way home. By the time he got home he was so out of breath that all he could do was hold his headband up for his mother to see. "I... Did... It..." Kon was able to gasp out as his lungs begged him for air. All his mother could do was hug him and cry. "I'm so proud of you, Little Foxglove." She sobbed. Half her emotions were joyous and the prideful, the other half were fearful and remorseful. A mothers' love is ever pained by a mothers' worry.

All his mother could do was hug him and cry. "I'm so proud of you, Little Foxglove." She sobbed. Half her emotions were joyous and the prideful, the other half were fearful and remorseful. A mothers' love is ever pained by a mothers' worry.
