Temple Robbers

Sakana had just arrived at the river. He had heard Komon’s explosions going off so he knew the enemy was near. Once he had arrived at the river he saw a few things. He say the two robbers emerge from the woods into sight. He also saw Komon flying over head ready to give support. As Sakana was observing the two men one of them started to charge at him with what looked light a ball of lightning in his hands. Sakana knew he needed to take action to defend himself.
 
Sakana’s world slowed down as he thought for a second. He had a water source so he would be able to use any jutsu that he had. He thought the best way to get the upper hand on the robbers would be to make sure they would not be able to see him. So Sakana dodged out of the way of the man who was charging at him, once he was out of the direct line of fire he performed the tiger hand sign and he completed the hidden mist jutsu. Sakana watched as the thick mist started to covered the area they were in. He figured Komon’s magic eyes would be able to get around the mist and he hoped that Senshi would manage.
 
Sakana had a plan in mind of what to do next but he knew he needed his water clones first. Sakana did the tiger sign again and he started to form a water clone.

Komon now stood staring at a kunai traveling directly towards him, moving at a relatively fast speed, luckily the distance between the hyuuga and the robber gave him enough time to duck, the kunai slicing off a few strands of hair as he narrowly avoided it, still ducking and running Komon would be moving full speed at the man as his role had carried the momentum from the bird. The robber’s Sword was raised high into the air as if he was about to slash downwards, but Komon had been able to process the man’s speed when the kunai was thrown.

Spoiler alert. It wouldn’t be fast enough, as Komon tackled the man into the ground by ramming his chest at full speed and force the shock of the impact would cause the man to drop his metal blade and fall to the ground, on his back with Komon following directly behind him. Komon would then make sure he had him pinned to look towards sakana.

But in his direction he saw only mist. Intrigued he’d activate the byakugan to see that Sakana had successfully dodged the technique and had activated the thick mist to blind his opponent. “This should be interesting” He thought as he punched his own temple robber in the face in order to knock him out so that senshi would be more easily able to place the paralysis seal. He’d wait by his now unconscious opponent as he watched sakana’s next move.

The man is panicking not being able to see, and throws a kunai in a random direction at 50 speed, luckily it’s nowhere near you and misses completely. He’s now waiting helplessly in the mist.

The mist jutsu was a success and the surrounding area, there was no visibility so no one on the battlefield could see where they were going. This was a problem for Sakana too, once he realized  that he could not see he tried clearing the mist. This was not supposed to be an issue but he keep lowering the density of the mist but it was not clearing up. He wondered what had happened, he knew he had perfect control of his own mist so this must have been created by someone else.
 
So Sakana needed a new plan of attack, well he was going to use the same plan as before but he needed to make some on the spot alterations. The water clone was standing beside Sakana, close enough that they could see each other. Before the mist jutsu had been used the robber was charging Sakana, he would have needed to cross the river to get to him, so if Sakana had to guess the robber would currently be standing on the water. These were the perfect  circumstances for the water prison jutsu to be used. Sakana had begun to start the hand seals for the water prison jutsu. Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Snake → Ox → Clap Hands, as he was doing them he had sent the water clone charging at the robber in order to be ready to uphold the water prison.

Senshi continued to sit in place on the ground utterly bored with what was going on. He heard the man bumbling around and gave a slight sigh of annoyance. He noticed that Sakana seemed to be dispersing his own mist and debated letting his go. But then figured that it would do the Genin good to learn how to operate in a hidden mist if he was going to bother letting the technique actually be useful to him. Thus Senshi was a dick and left his mist up to blind everyone in the area. His ears perked up at the sound of a kunai being thrown, while it wasn’t near Sakana it was close enough that he reached out and plucked it out of the air as it went to go whizzing by his head. He boredly tossed it up and down as he waited for Sakana or Komon to announce that they had taken the opponent out.

Hidden Mist

The sight before him was nothing impressive, Sakana seemed to be unable to find his way through the additional mist that senshi had created and fired a blind shot. By some strange happening however it managed to land and catch the temple robber. Komon briefly smiled as this mission seemed to be going a lot better than it had the last time he had lead a team through it. Perhaps he was meant to be a chuunin after all. “Senshi my guy’s been unconscious for a bit now. Mind tagging him with that seal you were talking about?” He’d ask as he walked towards Sakana knowing he was the only one here able to see through the mist.

“Sakana you got yours too” He’d say as he walked up behind the gennin. “Now knock him out so senshi can tag him” He’d say encouraging the boy to strike.

For a moment after he had casted the water prison the world was silent. Sakana did not know if the attack was successful. He waited in anticipation because he still could not see through the mist. But his fears were resolved when he had heard his water clone call out to him. “We got him.” Sakana then headed in the direction of the water prison. Once he arrived he was pleased at the sight of his water clone smirking at the robber who was screaming and trying to get out. Sakana knew he was trapped and there was no way he was getting out.
 
The Meijin waited for Komon or Senshi to arrive at the scene because if he was being honest he had no clue what to do at this point. He had heard Komon call out from somewhere in the mist that he needed Senshi to perform a seal. He then saw Komon emerging from the mist. He comment on Sakana capturing his enemy and he told Sakana to knock the robber out.
 
This threw Sakana for a loop he had never actually hurt anyone before, trapping this dude was one thing because he had not been put in any harm, but he realized he needed to actually knock this guy out with his own two hands. Causing people pain was not something Sakana liked to do. He was very hesitant because while he knew this robber was scum he as of this moment had caused Sakana any harm but he knew if he was going to be a great shinobi he would have to knock him out. But he knew he needed to, so he started to let down the water prison as he was ready to strike. Once the water prison was down the Sakana’s water clone kicked out the back of the robbers leg so he would fall and then Sakana threw a medium force ridge hand to his neck. This strike would surely knock out the robber. As the strike was landing he kind of apologized, "Sorry Guy."

Senshi rested his head in his palm, giving a long suffering sigh as he did so. He had never been so bored on a mission in his life. Even the dumb E and D rank missions he had been on were far more entertaining. Then again he had done a mission like this several times now, and he was getting rather agitated with the amount of temple robbers that seemed to inhabit Kumo or the land of lightning as a whole. It seemed really odd that so many people wanted to rob graves for money. Senshi knew that his teammate, Max, often robbed graves. But he wasn’t looking for money or goods, and he didn’t rob the graves of important figures like these guys.
 
He robbed graves in order to get skeletons so that he could create more puppets in order to better defend Kumo as a whole. That was a respectable thing to do. Though Senshi did find it odd that he would bother to rob graves instead of just working out some kind of deal with the executioner in order to get the bodies that he needed. There were after all plenty of prisoners being killed regularly and that were just thrown into mass graves. Why not make the prisoners atone for their sins by becoming the protectors of Kumo. Much like the Raikage had done with the Rot forest. Those who defiled Kumo were created into the odd Zombie like creatures in the rot forest.
 
Forever made to defend the place that they had hated. It was a fitting punishment in Senshi’s mind, one that he could easily support. He figured these temple robbers were likely to become the next people to be placed in the rot forest. That or they would have a hand chopped off. If you’re going to steal then Kumo was going to just take away your ability to recommit the crime. After all what better way to rehabilitate someone than to take away their ability to do the crime in the first place. Win-win for Kumogakure as a whole. At least that was how Senshi saw it, he wasn’t particularly versed in laws or the best way to rehabilitate someone. So maybe he shouldn’t be asked? After all his views were probably pretty radical, considering his upbringing and all.
 
Senshi stretched, pushing himself up as he heard Komon give the all clear. He pushed his chakra out and then pulled one of his tantos from his sheeth. Forming a few hand seals, he then slashed the air before him. A gust of wind pushed out from his chakra blowing a majority of the mist around him away. While he could have just dismissed the chakra normally he had wanted to try this method out to see if he could use it against an opponent. He had figured it would work, but actually seeing it was another thing entirely. IT pleased him that he would be capable of removing an enemies version of this techniques, since it would prevent them from having the upper hand over him.
 
Looking over at Komon he nodded at the boy’s request before targeting in on the first temple robber. He could see Sakana on the water, striking out at one of the enemies. That had seemed rather pointless since Senshi was going to be paralyzing them anyways. But who was he to correct the boy, it wasn’t his mission to lead after all. He was just here kind of for moral support, mostly because the higher ups had been uncomfortable sending only two people out of the village by themselves. Lest something like what had happened to Senshi’s team happened to another, less prepared and well trained team. Senshi’s team had been rather strong when they had encountered Maku, and yet they had still been systematically destroyed by the soon to be MakuKage.
 
Senshi approached the first prisoner leaning over him before thinking back on the information he had been studying on the technique. It was his first time performing it, but he had done some extensive studies into the Fuuinjutsu art. This studying had lead him towards discovering this specific seal, which would help him one missions like this. Forming the handseals slowly, dog, monkey, ox, and then ram. Reaching down he tapped the side of the guys neck pleased when he went suddenly ridged unable to move anything, even his fingers. Senshi grabbed him, and carried him to the other prisoners placing the seal on all of them as well. To include the one Sakana had defeated. Once he had completed his one real task for the mission he turned to Komon and spoke.
 

“Their completed sealed, Taichou. Ready to leave whenever you are.” Senshi looked decently weary from the amount of chakra he had just expended. That compounded on with the amount of work he had done in the last twenty four plus hours only made him more excited to get back to Kumo. Where he could go take a shower and pass out for however long he had until his next mission or patrol. They really needed to find someone else to assist with all these duties. Someone like Komon.

Komon sighed as the mission came to a close and asked senshi to carry one of the disabled prisoners as he grabbed the other. “Alright let’s head back to the village and report in I’m itching to eat” He’d say as he headed back onto the main road signaling for the others to follow him, stomach growling in the process.

Sakana breathed a sigh of relief as the mission came to a close, he had just completed his first combat mission, and captured a robber all on his own. Sakana smiled as he looked at the two chuunin walking down the road. “We did pretty good didn’t we guys” Sakana would say as he followed them back to the village with pride in his recent accomplishment.
