Warm Meal on a Cold Day - Komon and/or Komori

Max seemed to be in a relatively cheerful mood, saying that he could understand the reason that the village put him and his brother on the same team. And then saying that it was good for people that were familiar with each other to be paired together. Komon simply nodded in agreement. He heard his brother trying to flirt with the waitress who totally didn’t blush like Komori tried to convince you guys. She actually slapped him pretty hard taking offense to gestures which gave Komon a good laugh. 9/10 things Komori says is just a lie so trust me.

Then komori electrocuted Komon in a restaurant which is totally not cool, when people get electrocuted they dont tend to stay still you know. So Komons knee jolted slamming into the table causing Komori’s drink to fall over and spill on him (at 300 speed cuz gravity op), Instant Karma bitch. After the young hyuuga regained his breath from his rather sudden and uncalled for electrocution he simply muttered the word “Idiot” to his brother before turning towards the waitress, “I’ll have the fried salmon as well please and thank you” He’d say before turning to Max.

The young gennin didn’t seem underly confident in his own abilities and was more worried about if he’d be a good chuunin than if he would make it out of the exams alive. Komon wished he had had that kind of self confidence during his exams. Max’s only real doubt seemed to be in his leadership skills. “Well dont worry about that, you’re teammate senshi… He could turn a butterfly into an effective team leader if given the time.” Komon would joke recalling the rigorous missions he had undergone with the bearded man.

Max would chuckle as the two twins went on with their normal behavior. He could see that they had been close, or at least seemed like it. They had been quite the entertaining duo so far, and Max was glad to spend this time with them.
 
"Hopefully I pick up some of Senshi's leadership skills. Otherwise, I might not be fit to lead.” Komon had been correct that Max had little doubts about his own skills. He had a sharp mind and plenty of puppets to keep him safe. Of course, he also didn’t know the details of what the Chuunin exams had in store for him.
 
“So, how are the Chuunin Exams? Are they really as hard as your face let on?” The boy would ask, noting the minor expression shift Komon seemed to have right after Max explained his concerns. “I have a fairly good idea of what is in store for me, but any information would help. Knowing is half the battle and all that…” The boy would say as the waitress brought over his tea. He would first go to grab it with his right hand, only to stop midway, realizing his folly. He would then use his left hand and pull it closer before sipping it through the straw.
 
“Oh and Komori, did you actually read what that slip of paper said?” He asked, noting that the Hozuki had been quick to put in in his “Address Book” and hadn’t really been paying attention to much besides the waitress’s…. “leaving”. It didn’t look like an address to Max’s sharp eyes. No, it looked more like something along the lines of “In your dreams, kiddo” but Max WAS reading upside down and could have been mistaken. Max was a watchful boy though, so that wasn’t highly likely.
 

If Komon does talk about what had happened- or at least some of it that may or may not pertain to Max’s clan- the boy would likely start to truly trust these two with his thoughts.

So Max was curious about the chuunin exams it seemed. Komon gave a bit of a glare as he turned to face the boy, not intentionally trying to be rude but more of a forced reaction towards the topic he was thinking about. It held no good memories that was for sure. “The exams are relatively easy for the first two preliminaries, the third is where it really gets scary, and the actual exams are terrifying. I can’t really go into specifics tho.. Not allowed to talk to you guys about it unless you’ve taken the exam already.. Sorry” He’d say before turning to Komori.

“Yeah she totally shut you down, that paper doesn’t have an actual address on it..” He’d say and with two people agreeing it's hard to deny the fact that Al-- Komori sucks at flirting and he should probably just give up.

Max would note the look on the Hyuuga's face, realizing that it most have been a sore topic to discuss. The stare had been so intense with those milky white eyes that Komori's attempt to redeem himself had actually been a nice reprieve from it. 

The Hozuki shoved the slip of paper in the faces of both of the 'doubters' but he had put it so close to Max's face that the boy wasn't able to actually read what had been on the paper. Likely in an effort to hide the truth, no doubt.

"I'm sorry if I upset you, Komon. That was not my intent." The boy would say as he eyed up the food when the waitress came. It looked rather tasty, and so the boy would immediately dig in, looking up to see the "wink". Probably got something in her eye, as she looked to rub the eye while walking away. Likely didn't want the table to see such an unsanitary act while we knew she had handled our food.

Komon felt bad witholding information from the boy but figured there was at least one thing he could tell him so long as he didn’t get to much into detail. “Well there is one thing I can tell you that you may find interesting max” He’d say before pausing. “During one of my exams, not allowed to specify which one cuz rules and stuff… I came across a puppet user, who had turned a living human into a puppet, it was pretty horrific in all honesty.” He’d say as he bit into his food before his brother made some pathetic attempt to flirt with the waitress.

Max would nearly spit out what little of his food remained (he scarfed all but two bites down) upon hearing the words that Komon had said. "Wait, there was a what?" The look on Max's face suddenly went from pleasant to a look of shear horror. 

Shoving his plate away, he would place some ryo down on the table. 

"I'm sorry, I have to go. This is something that I must look into..."

The boy thought about what this could mean. If someone was using puppetry, there was a chance that maybe there were other Yamaguchi clan shinobi somewhere. Or worse, the Raikage had made a mockery of his clan. Either way, this was something that needed to be figured out and dealt with.

Komon would give a worried expression as the young amputee walked off in a bit of a fury. Apparently his news on the chuunin exams hadn't sat well with the blond gennin. In his haste however max had at least remembered to pay for his meal. Komon reluctantly pulled out some of his own ryo before placing it on the table and telling Komori he was gonna leave too, it was about time he got some training in and the day was coming to a close. "See you later brother".
