Mission Details:

Senshi looked between Komori and Reizo as Komori tested out the telepathy seal to ensured it worked. Were he anyone else he would have been annoyed that someone thought his seals wouldn’t work, but he wasn’t someone else so he wasn’t annoyed. Instead they just moved out, and Senshi kept an alert eye out as they travelled quickly through the forests of lightning country towards the mountains. His sharp eyes noting small details as they traveled. His mind ran through several plans, and how best to conduct the mission. Especially once they encountered the creature. He was settling on the idea of splitting his forces into two groups. This way one team could hit the creature from the front and draw its attention towards them while the second team would sneak around to its flank or back side and strike from there.

A strong opening move, with a powerful counter attack would likely allow them to handle the creature quickly preventing any further damage to the environment. Or preventing it from escaping. Senshi was especially concerned about the creature escaping, since if it did so it meant that more people could be killed. More towns destroyed and the economy of lightning country would suffer if that happened. Something Senshi was not going to allow. This was his home land, and nothing, not even some crazed beast was going to threaten that. His eyes moved quickly noting a destroyed trail to the north east of their travel pattern. His chakra sensory hadn’t pinged on anything yet, but that large path was clearly the direction the creature had gone. He knew Reizo was intelligent and observant enough to note it as well, and expected the young Chuunin to guide them towards it without orders.

Komon cracked a smile as his idiot twin brother tested the telepathic connection like it was some kind of microphone as if he had no faith in senshi’s abilities. “Reizo’s right it works fine” He said as monitored his 360 degree range of sight from the back of the pack. He couldn’t help but feel awkward when speaking with the telepathic seal. To speak without ones mouth was needless to say a strange sensation.

His eyes remained alert as the power of this beast sounded terrifying, warranting the use of four of the villages chuunin, and a death toll of 200, and being classified as an S rank mission certainly made it seem so. The group was needless to say in a hurry, and luckily the four chuunin seemed to be the fastest in the village, none of them needing to slow down for the others.

“So how far away is this thing? Any last known sightings?” Komon would ask with interest telepathically to the group.

Komori was not entirely sure as to what to do, and he had often been berated for abusing his own chakra, so instead he just ran in line with Senshi, slightly aback in order to cover Komon better in the event of an ambush. While this was highly unlikely, as the beast which they were hunting would most likely have killed any bandits along the way. And what is more, why would they risk attacking? They would be able to identify the four chuunin flak jackets of the group, and if they had any information whatsoever, that would mean that they could piece together the fact that this group was heading towards the beast’s last known location. If anything, this chuunin squad was doing them a favor.

Two hundred people. The number was still difficult to wrap his head around, as he could not even begin the comprehension. Instead, it was just a number that signified how dangerous this beast was, without any true emotional impact. It was a regrettable sadness, but he had to stop thinking of it that way. The beast simply needed to be put down. If something took an innocent life, it should not have the privilege to live. If he was able to, Komori would have slain the beast himself two hundred and one times, purely for justice. A dark form of justice, bordering on vengeance. The group would continue along their mountain path in the direction of the beast’s last rampage. As he did not know the answer to Komon’s questions, he simply kept his mouth shut and his thoughts to himself as the quartet ran, following Reizo’s lead. Senshi was the mission leader, anyways, so it would make more sense for him to answer the question.

Reizo continued along his route, keeping his chakra suppressed while scanning for other signatures using his chakra sensory. It wouldn't be too long for him to reach his top speed (125), and he assumed the rest of his team was capable of keeping up. As he advanced through the forest, Reizo soon found himself reaching a path that had been ravaged by some kind of beast. It was obvious something had been here recently, and so he felt no need to answer Komon's questions. If the boy had any talent for being a shinobi, he would recognize that the group was closing in on their target.

The Chuunin would lead the team down the new path. Not even 30 seconds since they had changed along the new path and the forest ended. The group would reach a clearing at the base of a mountain, a small town built partially into the mountain range. From this distance it wouldn't look like much was going on in the town, but almost as if on cue, one of the larger buildings on the outer part of the town would collapse. "Looks like we found our target. If I may make a suggestion on how to proceed, I think it'd be best to lure it out of the village first. But I'll leave the plans to you, Senshi-kun," the blonde would say aloud. Even though he could talk telepathically, it felt more appropriate to talk aloud and let the words hang in the air. It seemed to give them more power and emphasis, at least to Reizo. He cracked his knuckles loudly in anticipation of the fight to come.

As they ran Senshi’s eyes traversed the area in front of them. He couldn’t help but find it weird how he was a Chuunin leading three other Chuunin. This was a task for a Jounin, it was possible that with his progress with the Jounin Exams that they were grooming him more for the position than he had originally thought that they would. Especially when every Chuunin on this mission had been a shinobi longer than he had been. Maybe the others should get off their laurels and commit to the Jounin exams now as well, so that they too could get these types of opportunities. It would only further the strength of the village if they were all Jounin after all.

Senshi turned his head slightly to address Komon’s question, “It was last sighted travelling towards a nearby village. Chances are it is either at the village, or near it.” With that silence ensued throughout the rest of their travels. Something Senshi found surprising because of Komori, who was normally one of the biggest chatter boxes Senshi had ever encountered in his short life. Though he may appear to be in his late twenties, Senshi knew he was in fact the youngest in terms of life lives on this mission. But his mission record spoke for itself, giving him a depth of experience the others seemed to lack. Perhaps they should look to conducting more missions as well, so that they too could bring Kumogakure more experience.

There were so many things his fellow Chuunin could be doing, but at least they were getting a massive gain in experience with this missions. S rank missions at their level were exceedingly rare, and Senshi intended to pay close attention to everything going on, mainly because he wanted to learn from it all. There were many things his fellow Chuunin could still teach him, and Senshi was all about learning. As they continued on the path Senshi gave an almost absent minded nod towards Reizo, before holding up a closed fist. Indicating to the team to halt their progress.

“Stop here for a moment.” Senshi would wait for the team to pause, his eyes flickering around, as at the very edge of his chakra sensory he could feel what must be the beasts charka. “Reizo is correct, we need a lure.” Senshi’s eyes turned to Komon and Komori assessing them with the hard, steely gaze he was quickly becoming known for. “Komori with your hydrification, and Komon with your speed the two of you are uniquely suited for this task.” He paused to make sure they understood that he was taking all their abilities into consideration. “I want the two of you to go ahead of Reizo and I, lure the beast so that it is fifty meters to the south of the village. Reizo and I will set up an ambush there and as soon as you lure it into the kill zone, we’ll all launch an assault.”

He paused again, this one more for effect so that they had a chance to consider his plan over. “Any questions?” Senshi would wait for any questions they had and then answer them, before he stood up giving a stiff nod to the twins. “All right, let’s do this and get back to Kumo. Let us know when you are thirty meters out from our position.” Senshi would turn to Reizo and with a nod would give a small wave of his hand motioning for the other Chuunin to follow him towards their ambush position. He and Reizo were the primary damage dealers of this mission, considering their specialties. Komori and Komon would be capable of launching long range attacks in order to distracts, disorient, and lure the enemy after them.

A Liger? Continued Empty Re: A Liger? Continued

Komon’s eyes widened and a bead of sweat rolled down from underneath his headband across his face in the heat as he watched the tower collapse. Whatever this thing was… It was much stronger than anything he had ever encountered. He looked around at his teammates to gage their reactions to see if he was the only one that felt this way. Senshi seemed unphased as usual and Reizo seemed to be paying no attention to it either. “What happened to these guys that lets them stay so calm in situations like this” he thought as he turned the anxiety into force while gripping the hilt of his sword resting on his waste.

Senshi quickly jumped into action as usual taking the leadership he had rightfully been assigned. “Stop here for a moment” The group obviously obeyed there commander or at least Komon did, he couldn’t speak on behalf of the others because he’s not a dirty metagamer or anything like that, and then he began to listen to the magnificently bearded man. Senshi gazed at the twins for a bit with his usual intense stare before telling them that they would be the lures, responsible for getting the beast out of the densely populated village so that the battle wouldn’t cause civilian harm.

It was a good strategy, but Komon didn’t know how he felt about his brother being that close to such a dangerous beast. He gave a quick look to his brother with confused eyes before he realized something. Taking the new information into account he would say, “Welcome to your first mission as a chuunin brother!” before patting him on the back and taking off down towards the village. “Senshi, While we lure it out you should check that fallen tower for civilians trapped i the rubble, you may still be able to save someone with that medical jutsu you helped hitori with” He’d yell behind him as he heard the bearded man throw in one more request.

“Report in when you're within 30 meters”

Komon noted it as his byakugan flickered back on to inspect the beast that was so far out, but even from this range he could see its chakra system clearly, it shined brighter than any other creature he had ever encountered, and frankly it made him a little scared. Assuming his brother was beside him he’d ensure that the he told him to be careful. “Komori, stay on guard.. This things no joke” Would leave his mouth as his shinobi painter set flicked into action creating two large birds to fly ahead of him.

It was time to make this thing fly south and he figured his jutsu was the best suited for the job, something that appeared to be alive and to be flashy would surely capture the attention of this beast, and if it didn’t the annoying flight pattern he’d use to annoy the shit out of it would surely do the job. A smirk appeared across his face as he came closer to the massive. Tiger? Lion? Liger? Frankly he didn’t know what the hell it was.

As they began to get within range of the beast Komon stopped on the top of a two story building about 30 meters give or take away from the liger and made sure to follow the instructions his chuunin commander had given him. “Senshi.. We are in range I’m gonna try to use my birds to lure him out. Also gonna make some shadow clones to try and escort civilians away from this things trail.” He’d look to his brother next before sending him a telepathic message. “Komori! It’s your time to shine brother... Do what you do best, Piss the damn thing off.” Before he created the shadow clones he had told senshi about, and sent them into the stream of civilians.

The birds that were now circling the beast would first gain the things attention by flying around it and if successfully capturing its attention would begin to fly south towards the area senshi had asked him to lure it to. If not one of the birds would crash into the ligers eye to ensure that Komon had its attention before the other one would then fly south alone, unaccompanied by its friend as it had just kamikazed a ligers eyeball.

The shadow clones would of course be doing menial task like ensuring no civilians got stepped on by the creatures larger than life paws, and if necessary be stepped on themselves as their strength may buy children enough time to scurry away before the paw met the ground.

Komon would then look to his brother to see what he was up to before telepathically communicating what was going on to senshi so he’d be able to adapt to the situation if need be.

A Liger? Continued Empty Re: A Liger? Continued

Tue Mar 14, 2017 1:00 am
The Hozuki was taken aback by the destruction of a tower. Were there people in there as well? More lives lost from this behemoth. The chuunin clenched his fists with a righteous fury, but his expression remained unwavering. If anything, a look of determination would spread across his face as his eyebrows furrowed. The group of chuunin would then come to a halt as Senshi took his usual place as a leader. Komori could tell that the bearded giant seemed to take the role of leadership due to his power and experience… not necessarily because he wanted to. However, he would keep his thoughts to himself. Despite being volunteered to go face a beast that had killed at least two hundred people, Komori felt no fear. He felt a mixture of rage and a dangerous sense of immortality. This would be his part to play in defeating this monster and avenging those lost souls. He then smirked at the thought of being the bait. This would truly push him to his limits, while at the same time, allowing for him to risk his own life so that others may live. What he felt was his purpose in this world. He then felt the clap of his brother’s hand on his back, congratulating him on his first outing as a chuunin of the Village Hidden in the Clouds. His determination seemed to be pushed aside for the moment as he smiled in response. He then looked back towards the destruction as his smile slowly faded. “30 meters.” He hoped that his silence would speak louder than any words could, as he had no further questions. There was no longer time for questions, there was only time for action in order to stop any more lives from being claimed by this monstrosity.

“Stay on guard,” his brother told him. As if he needed to be reminded. However, Komori was not even remotely bitter, as he knew that his twin was simply looking out for him. He then bore witness to the Hyuuga summon two… painted birds. He would have to ask him about that later. The mission came first. The beast came in view. It was not as large as the boy had originally anticipated, but it was still a hulking mass of muscle and fur. It resembled both a tiger and a lion, but could not necessarily be classified into either. A tigon. Or a liger. Komori followed in the footsteps of his brother after hearing his telepathic communication and used the clone seal to drop shadow clones to the ground below them, where they would splat into puddles. Upon reforming, they would both begin to attempt to calm the civilians down as best as they were able to and evacuate them away from where the beast was currently rampaging. Komori himself simply smirked as he stared into the face of death. He laughed. He liquified a one inch droplet of water on his finger tips and held up both of his hands in a gun shaped position. “Bang.” he would proceed to fire the two droplets as the catapulted off of his finger tip and into the beast at a speed of 94, thanks to the extra chakra from Invictus, which was still mildly blood stained. Assuming they connected, they would either cause some piercing damage, or simply tick the thing off if its hide was tough enough. Using his kekkei genkai, he would hydrificate a puddle at his feet and create fifteen water orbs before launching them at a variety of angles at the beast at a speed of 40. If they connected, they would definitely not be powerful enough to kill the damn thing but only piss it off. As was his attention. His smirk grew larger as he awaited to see what it would do.

A Liger? Continued Empty Re: A Liger? Continued

Wed Mar 15, 2017 3:44 am
As Senshi directed him, Reizo halted his advance for him to give his orders. He listened as his fellow Chuunin laid out their plan. As expected, he and Senshi would be the man damage dealers, while the twins ran a ranged distraction squad to pull the beast out of the village into an open environment. After everyone knew their roles and went to fulfill them, Reizo followed Senshi to an open space a fair distance from the town.

It seemed for now that the two would just be hanging out until Komon and Komori brought the beast with them. Instead of standing around, Reizo would find a seat on a medium sized rock. It was just a bit too small to comfortably sit on, so he constantly had to shift his weight on it to keep from sliding off. Reizo wasn't too concerned for the twins' well-being. They were Chuunin just like he was, so surely they were qualified to handle it. Besides, if anything went wrong they could always telepathically inform the two Chuunin waiting for them so that a new plan could be devised as soon as possible.

There wasn't much to do now except to wait. Reizo took out a kunai from one of his pouches and flipped it in his right hand, just tossing it to himself. He didn't really have anything to say, and he knew Senshi wasn't one for small talk anyway, so Reizo didn't bother. He figured Senshi would prefer it that way. Unless Senshi said something, the two would just wait in silence and anticipation for the incoming beast.

Senshi watched as the twins moved off towards their mission before he and Reizo headed to their location. He was pleased with the silence, it was so rare these days that Senshi found himself enjoying every moment he could get that included silence. Once they arrived at a clearing large enough for the two to fight the beast, Senshi reached into his pouch pulling out a book on seals. Reizo would likely not be able to read the cover considering it was written in complex seals, but then he might also have chosen to study seals as well. These seals were about enhancements one could apply to their bodies, something Senshi had started studying only recently.

Even though they were on an S rank, Senshi trusted the twins to tell him when they were on the way. Or to put it simply when the danger was finally approaching. He was learning to multitask better, and using his chakra sensory, he figured he could sense the approach of the beast well enough in advance to put the book away. For now, as he always did, he would spend time looking it over in order to learn as much as possible in the time that he had. Being sent on S ranks such as this, especially as the leader of it, meant that he was likely being groomed for Jounin. It made sense considering how he had been progressing steadily through the Jounin exams so far.

He quietly turned a page, actually relaxing a bit as he continued to read the book. He rather thought that he would be able to combine these seals with his tattooing ability. If that were possible then he would be able to enhance shinobi beyond their normal limits. From what he was reading he could tell that it would be dangerous and the amount of enhancements probably wouldn’t be that much. But any enhancements to Kumo’s forces would be something that Senshi found worthy of studying. It seemed that a shinobi, a long time ago, had developed a way to do so. They were known as curse seals, and fairly commonly used among shinobi. But curse seals wasn’t something Senshi was particularly after, and he knew not something he was capable of at this time.

The original curse seals required abilities that he did not possess, abilities that he didn’t think he would ever possess to be quite honest. He needed something that would pair with his tattoing seals ability, because then he would be able to enhance people without some of the dangerous side effects that the Curse seals he was reading about had. He didn’t want to risk the lives of his fellows for a simple enhancement. If he could develop something that would enhance their abilities without risking their lives, then that was something he could get behind. Looking at the seal that was required, he knew that he would need to make his much larger in order to be safer.

The tattoing ability would tie it into their blood stream, which would then be tied into their chakra nodes, able to affect their chakra and muscles as much as would be needed. The problem was in figuring out which seals he would need to combine in order to create a similar effect that the Curse seals he was reading about could do. He already knew that the way he infused his chakra into the ink, and then into the person was probably going to react in much the same way that a mark seal did. He would be able to sense his chakra affecting another person easily, that would be useful for kumo. Reaching down he pulled out a pen from his pouch, making a few notations in the side of the book.

He underlines a few items before turning the page. He would need to test these out a bit before he actually committed to using them on a person. Seals were notoriously dangerous and tempermental. IF he risked putting them on someone before he was entirely certain that they would work then he would risk killing them. Not only that but he had a feeling he was going to need to know a person decently well in order to properly apply these. Tying them into their chakra system would be dangerous other wise. One set would not always work for everyone, he wouldn’t be capable of doing that without some of these sage techniques he was reading about.

With a frown, he made another notation of a seal to use, but before he could continue reading he lifted his head as Komon’s words were transferred to him. He closed the book with an awkwardly loud snapping sound before placing it back into his pouch. Turning his head slightly he looked at Reizo, surprised by how long he had been silent. “Reizo, lets each take a corner of this clearing. Once the beast enters we can strike at it from two different angles. I’ll let Komori and Komon know to do the same once they get it here. Four attacks from four angles should be enough to terminate this beast quickly.” Senshi would then give a slight nod to Reizo, before moving quickly over to the left side of the clearing.

With a deep breath he reached up gripping his blade tightly and glaring over towards the direction he could sense the beast coming from.  As the beast came tearing into the clearing Senshi rose an eyebrow at it in slight confusion. What in the hell was it. It looked kind of like a lion, with its great beastly main but then along its sides were stripes like a tiger. Shaking his head Senshi pushed that though out of his mind before pushing off with his right foot his hand on the handle of Gureto. As he moved towards the best, it was also closing in on both him and Reizo. He pulled his sword out, initiating one of his strongest attacks. The great cleave. He watched as his blade slashed forwards biting deeply into the Liger’s neck slicing it quite like a hot knife through butter.

He felt the spurt of hot blood shoot from the beasts neck shooting out with enough force that his forward momentum was reversed and he was sent sliding backwards several feet. He shook his head flicking off a gargantuan amount of blood and splattering it all over. As he reached up wiping away what he could from his eyes he looked towards Reizo, Komon, and Komori to see how they had fared. His strike alone would be enough to have the beast bleed out, it was likely with the others attacks it would be completely obliterated. His strike alone had sent the beast moving more towards Reizo as well since he had struck with enough force to break most peoples necks.

OOC: Crappy Liger Post

The liger growled menacingly as it thrashed about destroying buildings its head whipped around releasing another more ferocious growl as it saw the painted  birds coming at it. Releasing another growl it swiped at the bird surprised when it dodged coming at his face instead. Ducking down it barely avoided the claws coming for its face instead getting raked painfully on the top of his head. It turned moving several feet away as the twins came at him. With a roar it turned running several feet away before taking a swipe at Komon and then one at Komori. It tried to move to the sides but the birds kept boxing it in.

It attempted to jump up and swipe at the birds, growling as it did so. As they flew more away from him he growled making several bounding leaps, jumping on top of and destroying buildings as he did so. It leaped again before sprinting forwards trying to catch and kill the two birds that were heckling him. With a ferocious roar it smashed through several trees, surprised when it came into a clearing, it swiveled its head with a growl towards the large man to his left. Charging forwards he was surprised by the sudden strike to his neck that sent him flying towards the right.
