The Arugula's genin exam
Tue Mar 07, 2017 5:25 pm
Arugula walks into the classroom to get his genin exam. He hopes that it does not go south like the last 3 of them did. If it goes well, hopefully, he gets less to do with his ninja abilities. Unfortunately, Arugula's day was rather messy as he already got into a fight with at least 3 people. This hopefully goes better than his day went. Soon, he would be up and he would get ready to do his genin exam.

Shiroi was the designated proctor. Again. Exactly how many students did she have to literally scare the crap out of (there were at least two) before they stopped trying to get her to do this shit. Seriously.
She sat upon the desk, notebook in hand. The person in front of her had failed three times. Three! She readied up to hit the 'failed' box once more, but she had to actually do this.
"You know the drill, do the things."

Having failed for 3 times, Arugula had a pretty good idea as to what the proctor of the exam was thinking. His suspicions were confirmed when he saw the proctor pick up the pen. It was most definitely not on the pass box on the teacher's part of the exam. He realized that this was kind of like a person that gets to a hard level of a game, and has to try again and again, and only after a long time, he would finally pass the level and move on.
After getting past that, Arugula decided to focus on actually passing this exam. First thing was to get those jutsu done. In Arugula's head, he flipped a coin. Tails would mean art of transformation, and heads would mean art of cloning. Arugula would flip the coin once, and it would land heads. Unfortunately, he was indecisive and flipped the coin again in his head. This time, it was heads. Arugula decided that he would do the art of cloning first. At least, he did not have to look at the proctor. She didn't look like someone to hang out with. Maybe he was wrong, and the fact that she saw that he had failed 3 times already had made her a bit more unpleasant. Arugula realized that he was getting carried away with worry about failing the exam for the 4th time. Arugula first remembered the hand seals to do the clone jutsu. They were, Dog → Boar → Ram... He started doing the hand seals, and when he finally got to the end of them, he suddenly turned into the proctor. Well, he was most definitely not expecting that. Even though he did manage to perform the jutsu properly, he still did not intend to do that one at that time. He realized that he definitely needed to work on that later. For now though, he decided to keep it to himself and would move on to the next technique. This was the clone jutsu now.
When Arugula would think of the hand seals again. ram, snake and tiger. Ok, he would do the Tiger hand seal instead by accident. This was bad, he realized quickly though, that he could finish the art of substitution tech, and attempt to show off. Although this would most definitely be in bad taste, at least, he would be able to not look like a really big idiot like he did the last time. He would remember the next hand seals, boar, ox, dog, and then snake. Arugula would quickly go through those hand seals, and would substitute with the book that was on the table at the side of the room. It turned out, that this was the jutsu encyclopedia. Arugula would then realize that he now had to come up with some sort of excuse as to why he did that. Quickly too. He decided to say that he was showing off.
"I wished to impress you with the amount of work I did to prepare for these exams. I even studied for doing the art of substitution." This was only a half truth as he barely studied at all, and had to get last minute help from Jeisuta the class clown, who was also a bad student. However, the part that was true was that Arugula learned how to do the substitution tech by himself. What he did not want to tell the teacher though, was why.
Arugula would move on to the clone jutsu. This time, he would do the correct hand seals. Ram, Snake and Tiger. He would manage to do the correct hand seals, and finally succeeded in doing them. He would make 2 clones on either side. Now, he decided that it would be a good idea to demonstrate the tech so that he can guarantee that he did the proper and correct tech. He would decide to do a front flip. Arugula would jump into the air, and would attempt to do a 360 degree turn in the air with his clones. He soon found out how stupid that was, as he crashed into the ground on his back. Now due to his poor jump, he did not end up falling from too great of a height, so he only ended up hurting a bit. Fortunately, not too badly, although he does now need to be careful with his back the next few days.
He would get up slowly off the floor, and ask, "How did I do?" He really hoped that this time, he at least got a D, instead of the 3rd straight F. The consecutive Fs were probably not helping Arugula at this point. The D was a passing grade, and hopefully, doing the techs properly was enough, even though he did one unnecessarily, and his first 2 unintentionally.

Shiroi sighed. This one was working hard to waste her time. "You pass, you can leave now. Send someone in after." She made some notes on the sheet and tore it out. "Someone will come find you in a few days, or something.
