Taijutsu with Komori Empty Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:38 am
It was just last week that Sakana had taken the basic tai class. He had learned three useless Taijutsu techniques so he decided he would like to learn more. So once he had gotten up that morning he got dressed then headed off to the training grounds. Once he had gotten there he realized his issue. He did not know any Taijutsu techniques and he did not know of any he could teach himself. His book did not have any place for Taijutsu and he was the only person in the training ground so there was no one there to teach him. Defeated he did not want to waste the day so he just practiced the three E rank tai techniques he had learned.

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:38 am
Komori the now chuunin was headed home after yet another bout of training in a separate area. He, for one, was rather excited for the new changes to come. War was truly a bloody thing, meaning that lives were to be lost, but this would also give the Hozuki a chance to save lives in the heat of battle. He was more of a defender anyways, but he would be one to accompany the squad that he was assigned in order to be able to defend his comrades, allowing them to go on the offensive for the most part. He was passing by a training ground, where he stopped for a moment on his walk. The Makukage had said that they were to be preparing for war, so Komori decided that he would venture into the grounds and do a series of activities in order to build up his endurance. His chuunin exam before last had been exhausting, as he was forced to take breaks between killing prisoners in order to allow his body to keep up. Even then, he had nearly passed out from exhaustion. He clenched his fists in a manner that expressed his newfound determination. He would not allow himself to sit on his ass and grow weak in the preparation phase. He spotted the familiar Meijin boy practicing weaker taijutsu techniques that the Hozuki himself had already learned. He might not know anything stronger, Komori thought to himself. He did not send chakra into his telepathy seal given to him by Senshi, so their small group of mentally linked comrades would not be able to hear him. He walked over to Sakana and spoke to give notice so that he would be noticed, “Hey Sakana! Need any help?”

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

As Sakana was performing the same useless tai techniques over and over again he became very bored, he knew he was not making himself any stronger like this but like he thought earlier, he did not know anything more useful. As he was training he started to see Komori walk towards him. He had not seen Komori in a while. The last time he saw him was when he learned water prison if he remembered correctly. He had seen Komori’s twin brother a few more times after that learning drawing techniques and even going on a mission.

As Komori approached him and asked him if he needed any help. Well Sakana figured if Komori could he useful he should be. “Hey Komori, yeah I was learned some basic Taijutsu the other day at a class I learned, they did not teach anything useful but I do know how to inside outside block.” Sakana said as he casually showed off the technique he had learned prior to this training session, pulling his hand up to his head and use one quick and strong motion to bring it in front of his face. “See that pretty much the extent of my knowledge on the subject, if you know any more Taijutsu i would be happy to learn if you would like to show me how to do it.”

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:42 am
Komori did not even know that move yet, but saw it as useless to him, seeing as that his hydrification technique allowed him to escape the effects of most taijutsu moves anyways. “I’d be happy to.” Komori walked over, setting himself up in line of a tree. “This move is called dynamic entry. Basically, all you need to do is launch yourself towards the target with your foot extended. The fun thing about this move is that you go as fast as you possibly can. Watch.” Komori took a running start, before leaping into the air at 145 speed. “DYNAMIC ENTRY!” he was moving faster than Sakana could even react as he connected with the tree at a strength of 50, as his foot penetrated the oak base. He withdrew his foot from the tree, thankful that it did not totally tip over due to how sturdy it was, as he looked towards Sakana. “Just pick a target and charge at it. Let your feet do all the work.”

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:43 am
There was a surprised look on the gennin’s face. He had not even seen Komori for a while and the second he does they are training again. He wonders if he will ever see any of his friends outside of a battle. But he was happy as always that Komori agreed to teach him some stuff. So Sakana watched as Komori performed the dynamic entry technique. He ran forward and then jumped into mid air his foot in front of him as he was soaring towards a tree. His foot connected with the tree and he watched as the wood cracked on contact with Komori’s foot. Then the Hozuki boy told the Meijin boy to try it.

So Sakana figured that looked easy enough to replicate. All he had to do was run, jump and let his foot make impact. He knew he was not as strong as Komori so he would not be able to do any damage to the tree but he needed to perform the technique to prove he could. Sakana took off running and on his fourth step, he leap into the air. He forced his foot to extend in front of him as he was headed towards a tree. On impact he felt his foot chip the wood as he bounced off the tree. The Meijin was happy with the damage he caused and he turned towards Komori. “You have anything else for me to learn? I think I got that one.”

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:43 am
With the possibility, no, confirmation, of war on the horizon, Komori would have to redouble the already absurd amount of training that he had been doing lately. Once he set his mind to it, he had made chuunin in what felt like a much faster way than his peers, despite two of those exams being directly proctored by his close friend Senshi Kobayashi. He had certainly helped to speed things along. “Yeah, that one was just a basic move that’s fun. It’s even more fun when you yell it.” He chuckled at his own statement before thinking of another move to teach him. He signed the clone seal to bring out a shadow clone before turning to Sakana. “This is called leaf whirlwind. It’s one of the most basic of techniques, since you need this move in order to learn other moves that branch off of it, like leaf gale, which I’ll show you afterwards. Just watch this.” With that, Komori launched a high kick at his clone, which turned out to be just a simple feint, as he launched a subsequent low kick aimed towards his clone’s shins. The hit connected and his clone was forced to the ground due to the technique. Komori then followed up by using leaf gale, and performing a spinning low kick aimed at his clone’s chest. It connected, and sent his clone flying backwards through the air, crashing into the same tree that Komori had used dynamic entry on. It poofed away in a cloud of smoke as Komori stood back up from the ground and turned to Sakana, “That second, or rather third kick, was leaf gale. Leaf whirlwind needs two kicks, a high feint and a low powerful kick, while leaf gale is just a spinning low kick.” He held the clone seal up to his chest once more, this time only using a single hand, as a shadow clone appeared before him. I need to practice this skill more… It could be useful in battle. “Spar my clone. For the sake of your own advancement, he’ll simply be matching your base speed, although the taijutsu moves you use tend to increase your striking speed and strength.” As Komori was not wearing any armor aside from his chuunin flak jacket, the hits should at least cause minor damage instead of none at all. If you need help, I’ll be over here.” Komori then walked over out of harm’s way where he practiced signing the Rat → Dog handseals to open his pocket storage dimension and withdraw a water bottle as it rematerialized in his hands. Nice. He would then drink from the water bottle to stay hydrated as he would watch Sakana perform the two taijutsu moves that he had been introduced to by the Hozuki.

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:44 am
If he was being honest Taijutsu started to bore Sakana, these were all basic techniques that it seemed anyone could do. He still admired the training everyone had to go through to learn them and he knew that they could be useful in battle but he never could imagine himself learning advanced Taijutsu. He still wanted to learn from what Komori could teach him, because he knew this could be useful later on if he was low on chakra.

Komori started to speak so Sakana pulled himself away from his thoughts and gave Komori his attention. The next technique he was going to learn was the Leaf Whirlwind technique, again it was a basic technique but it looked flashy so it was ok. Komori summoned a shadow clone. Sakana had never heard of the technique but he figured that the shadow clone must have been similar to his water clone. With that he knew that the clone could not have been as strong as the real Komori. But anyway Komori demonstrated the technique. The first kick was was meant to deceive your opponents in battle, it would make them believe that you were aiming for their face, so when your leg would reach their head and they would go to block it they would leave the rest of their body open for attack. And once their defenses were down the true attack would happen. Komori brought his leg from behind him and aimed it at the clones shins bringing him down. Sakana thought that would have completed the technique but after that Komori brought the leg that he used to fake the clone out from behind him. Brought it up and nailed the clone in the chest sending it back flying.

Komori then confirmed Sakana’s suspicions and explained that the second technique was known as leaf gale. Komori then summoned another shadow clone and explained to Sakana that he should spar the clone. Sakana figured he did not really mean spar, but he more meant for Sakana to use this Komori as a practice dummy that he would be able to beat up. So Sakana approached the clone, and stood about one foot in front of him. He prepped his mind and visualized what the technique would look like. He was going to do the two techniques separately so that he would get a handle on using them individually, which would make putting them together flow better later on.

The gennin brought his foot up towards the clones head, if this was the real Komori he would be more worried about hurting him, but since this was only a clone he knew he was able to practice his precision. The kick he brought up was a mere inch from the clone’s face when he brought it down and drop his other kick to the clone’s shins. It was almost an exact mirror image of how Komori completed the technique, he watched as the clone went down but instead of doing the other technique as Komori had done, the Meijin had allowed the Clone to get back up before he tried to do leaf gale.

Once the clone rose back up and brushed himself off,  Sakana was ready to attempt leaf gale. Sakana spun behind him, his eyes looking at his target about a second before he performed the move so that he would be able to aim at his target. Sakana then brought his leg up to compete the kick and he slammed it into the clone. Since he was not as strong as Komori the clone did not fly back but he was knocked back around a foot or so.

Sakana then turned to the real Komori who was standing a few feet away from him and said, “How was that?”

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:44 am
Not that Komori could hear Sakana’s thoughts, but for the record, a shadow clone is equal to the user, making it MUCH better than a silly water clone. He then watched Sakana perform the technique, practically flawlessly for a first attempt. Komori signed the Rat →
Dog handseals with just his right hand, which caused the water bottle he had been drinking from to disappear in a collection of dissipating particles as it transferred to the pocket storage dimension. He would wait to see if Sakana had noticed, and whether or not he wanted to learn the D-rank space/time move, before he would continue on with further of the basic taijutsu techniques. He was starting off with the smaller techniques, as he believed that the boy was not necessarily ready for the larger scale techniques, such as the three part combo of leaf rising wind, dancing leaf shadow, and lion’s frenzy techniques. He might show it off later, simply for the purpose of perhaps sparking the boy’s interest in some slightly more advanced techniques. Either way, the next move he would demonstrate is yet another D-rank taijutsu technique. “This move is called the chain fist technique. You can use it with either closed fists or open hands. I’ll be showing you both forms of this technique so you can choose whichever one you want.” Komori’s shadow clone stood back up and brushed himself off from the non fatal blow of Sakana. He breathed an exasperated sigh as he walked over to his originator. “Just get this over with already, I’m bored.” Komori gave an exaggerated smile at his doppelganger. “As you wish, handsome.”

He started in the simple act of balling his hands into fists. He began to punch in a circular motion, which heightened his strength and speed evenly, although his speed was significantly faster than the power of his strength. His clone simply had to take the blows, as despite the clones being able to function independently, at the end of the day, they were forced to conform to the originator’s wishes. The clone merely tanked the hits as they came before Komori dropped his fists and turned his head towards Sakana, still facing the clone with his body as it waited rather impatiently. “Now for the other method.” Komori released the tightness of his fists as he extended his fingers and moved them slightly aback, ensuring that he would strike with purely the palm of his hand. This version of the technique would be seen as being slightly faster, while also hitting slightly weaker, as the user trades a bit of strength for a slight boost in the actual speed itself. Just with the way that Komori’s personality and fighting style had been established as, he tended to always use this form of the move in the stead of the closed fist, as the Hozuki favored speed much more than strength itself. The fists can be hit five times in a row, and the open handed, due to being much faster, are able to be done ten times in a row. The clone would then back up, rubbing his own chest where he had just been struck several times over before Komori turned his attention back to Sakana. “You’re up again.” Taijutsu training always took a lot out of him, so Komori simply lifted his left hand and signed the Rat → Dog handseals single handedly, withdrawing a water bottle to drink. Damn Hozuki nature and all that. He would then observe Sakana perform the technique himself.

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:45 am
There was a sign of disappointment on the gennin’s face when Komori did not answer, or even comment on his success of the two techniques he had just picked up on the first try. Instead Komori just drank his water and once he decided to pay attention to Sakana he made it disappear. It was a cool trick but Sakana did not want to ask to  learn it because of his stubbornness and commitment to not talk to the chuunin until he was spoken to and the fact that he was here learning Taijutsu and anything else he would learn here would be out of place to his current mindset of chakra less fighting.

Finally, after Komori had decided to acknowledge Sakana, he walked over to him and he looked as if he was ready to teach him another technique. After his trail of thoughts seemed to end he began to speak to the Meijin informing him that he was about to demonstrate another D rank tai move. This move was called chain fist. The shadow clone of Komori approached him ready to take another beating, the chuunin exchanged a few words with the clone that Sakana was unable to hear, but after they had spoke Komori started punching with a closed fist. He punched in a circular motion five times before he stopped. And without skipping a breath he demonstrated the same technique except this time he used an open fist and his palm landed 10 hits before he stopped.

He told Sakana it was his turn and then summoned that water bottle again. The shadow clone approached the gennin with the same bored look as it had had since it was summoned by Komori. Sakana recalled in his mind the distance Komori was away from the clone and the place where his fist had made contact. Sakana started with the closed fist method of the Chain fist technique. His punches landed one after one at the same mark on the clone’s chest and once he reached five hits he stopped to show Komori he was done.

The boy had turned back to the clone because he figured that the chuunin would have paid attention to the person he was trying to teach but at this point he was not sure what was going on in Komori’s head, he could ask the shadow clone but decided against it. Now it was time to learn the open fist version of the technique, he tightened his hand so that his palm would not be hurt on impact, The strikes were less than a second apart and each time the strike had landed exactly on its mark. Once again having finished his part of the training he turned to Komori and waited a response from the guy who seemed more interested in the water bottle than his student that he was teaching.

Taijutsu with Komori Empty Re: Taijutsu with Komori

Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:45 am
In Komori’s defense, there are two points to be made here. One, he is a Hozuki. They have to stay hydrated, and he has been really inconsistent on it in the past. Two, upon the disappearance of his shadow clone, Komori would immediately gain first person memories of the clone, and be able to see Sakana’s techniques firsthand without having to be the literal target. Shadow clones were incredibly useful. Nonetheless, he walked over, water bottle still in hand, as he nodded to his clone, who disappeared in a cloud of smoke. He would then turn towards Sakana and evaluate the boy. He seemed to have grown up a bit since they had first met, and even since their last meeting. Although, that could be due in part to the ability of the Meijin boy to recover through natural means as well as medical ninjutsu since he had woken up from a coma weeks prior to their official team purple meeting, which included, not only the both of them, but Hitori Uzumaki and their captain Komon Hyuuga. Anyways, his body seemed to finally be healed to the point where he could perform low ranking taijutsu moves with minimal difficulty, even being able to do them on the first attempt. Not that they were the hardest moves to learn, but it was still an impressive feat nonetheless, especially considering the scale of the boy’s injuries. He would have rather have been able to teach him stronger taijutsu moves, such as leaf rising wind, but he doubted that Sakana would want to learn them anyways as he seemed to be more of a ninjutsu utilizer as opposed to relying on physical strength. “You seem to have gotten the hang of that fairly easily.” He would wait for any compliment from the boy before saying “You’re welcome,” no matter what Sakana said. However, if the Meijin did not express proper manners, then the Hozuki would mutter the word ‘ass’ under his breath as he would walk away. Komori then excused himself to go prepare for the war in another location, provided that Sakana did not have any lingering questions for him. After answering them, or not because the genin might be a loser and not ask any, the chuunin would head off into other regions the now over productive Village Hidden in the Clouds. He walked past the training grounds towards the road, taking in the sights and sounds of the dimly lit forest. Fearsome shadows being cast by tree branches at an off angle for the light and birds chirping. He had actually been quite busy as of late and wearing himself thin, whether it be regarding learning his secondary speciality allowed at the promotion to chuunin from his friend Sora Uzumaki or taking care of a stranger who had passed out at the front gates. This particular ground seemed more tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which only seemed to grow busier with the upcoming war. Sakana was a part of his team after all, so it only made sense to make sure to train him so that he was prepared for their team’s assault on the rain village.
