Actually Inked Empty Actually Inked

“Later loser.” Komori said as he had finished visiting his brother in the hospital. The less attractive twin had just attempted to get a tattoo that would boost his natural abilities, only to have it fail, probably because he was an idiot and did not make sure that he was healthy enough. After all tattoos can get infected if handled poorly or not handled properly at all. Determined to prove himself the better of the two, Komori set out to visit Senshi and get himself a boosting tattoo. The ability to further his own abilities that he had trained day and night for months now greatly intrigued the boy. He had always aspired to be greater than he already was, which was his primary motivation for taking the chuunin exams. Even though he was already better than Komon, he wanted a tattoo to prove it. He had no idea what he would get however. He had asked to see the tattoo that his brother had chosen and despite not getting the perks of tattoo no jutsu, Komon had gotten a pretty damn cool tattoo. It was done in black and white for obvious reasons, as it was a tribute to the yin yang symbol, however, it took a unique approach in the way that it appeared to be two dragons for the two halfs. Good and evil, light and dark in an eternal struggle. Although the mark would serve as an reminder of how he was unable to embrace the full effects.

And so the tale of Komori Hozuki continues as he ventured down the cobblestone roads of the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Like an idiot, he had not gotten directions to the shop, so instead he was wandering. Wanting a more appropriate ambiance for his wanderings, Komori debated causing rain to form in the sky. He was a bit of a pluviophile after all, and it had seemed like forever since he had last used what had been his favorite jutsu. Komori stopped in the middle of the road and took in his surroundings. Darkness was steadily approaching as the day dragged on, the yellow light of the sun slowly beginning to change hues into a brilliant orange. Most people would be heading inside of their homes to eat dinner with their loved ones or by their lonesome. Komori signed the handseals needed for the rain tiger at will technique, Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake, as the sky darkened in the sky above. A woman rounded the corner looking up at the sky. When she noticed the storm clouds rapidly convening, she muttered some profane words. Komori gave her a disappointed look that she seemed to not notice as she continued about her mundane day. She reached for a local newsstand which was totally a thing before then proceeding to hold a copy of the Raikage and forcibly Kumogakure’s favorite newsletter, The Daily Decay, above her head to shield herself from the upcoming rain.

As she walked away, Komori clicked his tongue against the back of his teeth which made an audiblr “Tt” noise as he turned back to his path. He closed his eyes and held his arms up as the heavens opened up and began raining down on him. The sensory effect of the downpour allowed him to maneuver around without care, as he enjoyed looking up at the sky, selecting a particular droplet at random, and following its journey to the ground. This always made them appear to travel slower than they actually were. He wandered around the Village Hidden in the Clouds for an absurdly long time. Like he was taking forever.

He would eventually happen across the new tattoo parlor that Senshi Kobayashi had opened recently. Apparently construction in the cloud occurred quickly. He opened the door which caused a pair of bells to chime out, announcing his presence. Komori would enter the tattoo parlor and stand in front of the door as he waited for Senshi to instruct him.

It wasn’t that construction happened quickly, so much as the small shop had already been here. Since a lot of people died in the hidden cloud, there was plenty of shops ready to be bought and used. Senshi was sitting in his shop, cleaning off a few of the supplies that he had. He had invited Komori to come and try for a tattoo, through Komon. Hopefuly the narcissitic twin would be capable of the tattoo taking effect without the meager draw back that it could cause. If only Komon had listened to him and gotten an item to boost his health, then maybe he wouldn’t be in the predicament that he had been. Too bad so sad, maybe he would listen next time Senshi offered him advice.

Senshi looked up, his eyes focusing on the door as he felt Komori approaching him, since the Chuunin didn’t suppress his chakra. Senshi, always had his chakra suppressed unless he needed to unleash it. It was something that had become a habit, since he was strongly against allowing bad habits to affect him. Everything was a mission, even going to the grocery store, he made it a mission so that he could improve himself. Senshi stood up moving so that he was standing where the door would swing open, since the door was a push door it would cover him as Komori walked in. Crossing his arms he stood quietly waiting.

Suddenly the door finally was pushed open, the sound of his tinkling bells echoing through the small room. Komori would be greeted with the sight of a completely empty 30 meter by 30 meter room. There would be a small bed like table in the center of the room, with Senshi’s comfortable looking rolly chair right next to it. There was a small table, with his tattoo gun and antiseptic supplies next to it. To the left side of the room was several tables with many bottles of ink on it. On the right side of the room were tables with antiseptic cleaning supplies and cleaning supplies for the shop.

The entire shop would look completely sparkling clean, almost like a hospital room. As the door was swinging shut Senshi spoke, taking a completely silent step forwards so that he was standing less than an inch from Komori. “You should really suppress your chakra and have more observational awareness.” Senshi would react to anything Komori did immediately his muscles already tensed to avoid any blows the chuunin might throw at him. Once they had finished their little game of Senshi attempting to scare the crap out of Komori, Senshi would gesture towards the table.

“We don’t have much time, so let me explain. I developed a set of seals, that I can hide within an image. The seals will be tied into your chakra system, via my chakra. They can be used to boost any of your normal abilities be it your chakra, speed, strength, health, or stamina. It is up to you which you choose, so I need to know now what you want. There are a limited number of combinations that can be used to boost two abilities, but I can only apply one seal right now anyways. Once you choose what you want to boost, let me know where on your body you want the seals placed, what image you want to hide the seal with in, and we can get started. Please sit on the table, after choosing the colored ink you want.”

Senshi would gesture towards the ink bottles sitting down in his own rolling chair, eyeing Komori with the usual serious look on his face. Once Komori had picked the Ink and handed it to Senshi he would then begin preparing his station to start the process of tattooing the Chuunin. “Just so you know, these seals have one draw back. If your vitality is not strong enough, you could end up hurting your capabilities. Your brother already experienced the bad side effects since he didn’t listen to me earlier about making sure his vitality was strong enough. Don’t make the same mistake Komori, with the war on we can not afford to have anyone hindered for long.”

Komori looked around the unnaturally clean room, with organized tattoo supplies placed in a spot where Senshi must have liked. The Hozuki would jump at the whispering behind him, since he was just meeting a friend and did not feel it necessary to totally suppress his chakra when he was just chilling. Komori would quickly move away from Senshi as his brain processed the voice that he had just heard and lower his guard. In a sense that meant that he would not be hostile and assault the jounin, but would probably remain tense the entirety of the time it took until he would receive the tattoo. Tensing up would probably be a terrible thing to do, much in the same manner of a shot. Needles suck is the point here.

“Yeah, I remember you talking about on the Liger trip. I think. It’s been a while.” Komori had a terrible sense of time management and whatnot so he decided not to think about it too much. Komori signed the handseals for storage displacement, Rat → Dog, as he withdrew a sketchbook from his little pocket dimension. He flipped it open to the correct page and set the open book down on the tray that held the tattoo gun. In it contained an artful picture of a moving wave, in order to symbolize his connection to the water element. It just required two different shades of blue alternating with each other to show the fluidity of water.

Komori then took off his shirt and tossed it to the side. It landed as a crumpled mess in a nearby chair, exactly where he had meant for it to land. His body was toned but not in an obnoxious overboard kind of way. After all, the Hozuki focused moreso on his internal power that stemmed from his chakra as opposed to his physical strength. A girl outside absentmindedly glanced inside the window and took notice as she swooned. He left his pants on, which Senshi was probably thankful for, but the world would say otherwise. Komori also left a necklace with a ring attached at the end of it on. He grabbed it and held the ring between his right index finger and thumb as he observed the seals placed on the interior of the metallic band. “This should do the trick,” he said in regards to boosting his vitality. He lifted his head up from staring at the ring to address Senshi the tattoo artist, “I want the speed seal here.” The shirtless chuunin pointed to his left shoulder blade, which would probably be a rather painful area, what with the bone and all, but hey, it would look cooler whenever he had his shirt off. He then moved towards the tattoo table and laid down how Senshi would tell him to as he waited for the process to begin.

Friggen Komori, being as undescriptive as possible. Senshi felt like sighing, it was like Komori hadn’t even bothered to pay attention to anything he said. Seriously, why even bother talking to the guy if he wasn’t going to listen and respond effectively. Once Komori removed the clothing from his upper body and threw it at his chair, Senshi picked the clothing up folding it neatly before laying it on the ground. No one threw things at his chair like that, and Senshi determined that he was purposefully going to be mean about how he applied the tattoo. No being light handed for this presumptuous dick, he was going to press down extra hard on the young Chuunin just to make a point.

As Komori placed the sketch down, Senshi stared at it for several moments deciding on how best to handle hiding the seals within it. He looked up as Komori indicated where he wanted the tattoo to be placed. “All right, lie face down so I can apply the seals in this image.” Senshi would pretty much completely ignore the interesting necklace that Komori was wearing. His own flamingo necklace was hidden underneath the red wraps he wore. Mainly because he didn’t want someone to see it and break it. With his vitality enhanced, if someone ever figured out that it was from his necklace they would just target it and break it.

Senshi continued to stare at the image of the wave, mapping out how he wanted to apply the seals and how he was going to place them on Komori. Once Komori had complied and was lying face down, Senshi grabbed one of the black permanent markers he had on his table. He lent over Komori, placing the image he had been holding by the boys head. He then began to draw on the boys back with the permanent marker. The door to his shop was solid wood, and had no windows, thus the mystical woman that Komori was imaginng to swoon over him never actually occurred. Komori sure had an overactive libido in order to think someone could see into the completely sealed shop.

Too bad for him, no one saw his scrawny little body. Probably best for all of Kumo to be honest, as they didn’t have to see that sight. Senshi continued to draw on Komori’s back, hoping he wasn’t ticklish, as that would be rather annoying. Should Komori utter any giggles or laughs Senshi would flick him in the back of the head at his full speed. Since Komori was laying down facing away he likely wouldn’t even see the blow coming. That should teach him to not giggle while he was busy with such delicate work. Especially if he moved, if he moved Senshi would flick him again with his full strength and tell him to stop and hold still, in his usual serious no nonsense tone of voice.

Once Senshi had finished drawing on Komori’s back he would lean backwards staring at it seriously. He could see of the image worked well, covering Komori’s back from the lower area, the tamp stamp area so to speak, all the way across his back and shoulders. Nodding to himself Senshi turned to face his little table, placing his marker down and picking up the tattoo gun known by the completely bland name of Irezumi Ju. He made sure the needles were in place correctly before applying the white ink to it. Turning back to Komori he began to charge his lightning chakra into the gun, the loud buzzing sound of it echoing ominously through out the shop.

“All right, I’m going to begin now. It may hurt a bit, but do not move at all or it will fail.” Senshi then bent slightly over and pressing hard, more than strictly necessary he began to draw out the seals in the white ink on the Chuunin before him. The Chuunin would feel Senshi’s chakra being pushed into his small frame and begin to invade and push into his own chakra system tying it into the seals directly. He would feel the pull on his chakra being drawn into every seal the Jounin was drawing into his back. Sitting back, Senshi grabbed one of his paper towels and applied some antiseptic soluton to it. He wiped away some of the blood that was welling up, applying the stinging solution to his back and cleaning up all the blood and excess ink so he could see what he was working on.

Senshi then resume drawing the seals, it took over two hours for all the seals to be drawn into Komori. Finally Senshi sat back, cleaning the needles off and clearing the tattoo gun of all the ink into it. “All right, I finished the seals portion now I need to cover it with the image.” Senshi would allow Komori a short five minute break, before he began to go back to work. Inking over the image with the two tones of blue ink and using black to outline it and make it pop out more. Senshi would also use white ink in order to draw out the foam of the waves. The white ink would be made to stand out more with small bits of black ink in it outlining it perfectly.

The lower portion of komori’s back was entirely blue looking like the ocean was beginning to swell up. The middle of his back was the wave reaching up, with a smaller wave rising over on the left side. The larger wave rose up completely covering Komori’s left shoulder and reaching over towards the right shoulder blade, as though it was crashing down across it. The entire process of covering Komori’s back in the image took well over three hours to be completed. Senshi finally sat back wiping the boys back off with the antiseptic cleaning solution before standing up and stretching. He walked over towards the back of the shop picking up a single item, which ended up being a large mirror. He lent it against the wall before motion for Komori to look.

“It’ll take some time to heal, once it is completely healed you can access the full power of the speed seal I just applied. Until then you’ll only receive half the benefit from it. Feel free to check it out here, try applying chakra to the seal so that we can see if it took correctly. If it didn’t, I’ll take you to the hospital to heal from it.” Senshi would stand back crossing his arms and waiting for Komori to check the seal out and then try activating it for the first time.

Actually Inked Empty Re: Actually Inked

Komori resented like half of what Senshi thought, but sadly, could not say anything, as he did not have the ability to read minds. He totally giggled though, and as a result, was flicked in the back of the head. “Ow,” he would silently mutter through the presumably leather chair since he was lying on his stomach. It turned out that the seals needed a bit of a larger area than he had originally anticipated, so he was slightly caught off guard when he felt the permanent marker tracing the pattern over the entirety of his back, even as far as the tramp stamp region. When Senshi had told him not to move, he immediately had the urge to move, but instead was forced to wait impatiently. It was a tattoo, after all, so he probably should have expected for it to take some time. The foreign chakra was a rather odd sensation that helped relieve him of the urge to move, as his mind honed in on the invading force. This also helped to draw his attention away from the prickling pain in his back, not that Senshi was being careful since it seemed like she was purposefully bearing down harder than he should have, however, Komori was in no place to say anything. After all, the jounin was holding a needle to his back. He vaguely felt his back begin to bleed before the stinging antiseptic was dabbed onto his back, and not in the cringey way. And it took soooo long to tattooooooo. Of course, this was to be expected due to the sheer size of the damn thing that would help him out later on. Maybe then he would not complain so much. Once he had thought it was over, he sat up, his back still feeling the effects of the needle. He stood up and stretched before asking Senshi whether or not he had a bathroom, where he would quickly head to. If the shop did not have a bathroom, it would not be Komori’s fault what happened in the alleyway. He returned not long after and washed his hands with a water technique, because hygiene was super important. He was then instructed to lay down in the chair once more for the actual tattooing.

He then had to lie down as the tattoo process continued even more. The first two hours were only for the seals. Komori sat up after Senshi had walked away and swung his legs over the side, gripping the table with his arms all the while feeling the stinging antiseptic covering his back. It was a rather welcome sensation, as it helped to differentiate the intensity of the needle that had just been prodding him for three hours or so. He took a rather deep breath as he was tired and wanted to go home to rest up. His entire back was insanely sore. Komori had prepared for his left shoulder blade to be sore, but probably should have paid more attention to the tattoo that Komon had received to have gotten an idea of the sheer scale of the sealing art that Senshi had perfected. Senshi returned with a large mirror, which immediately caught the narcissist’s attention. He stared at his own beautiful reflection in the mirror for so long that it took him a moment to register that Senshi had just asked him something. He then tried to activate his tattoo, but since he had a health of 65, it began glowing a brilliant shade of blue since it was applied without failure. He immediately felt a surge of chakra to his legs, although it did not feel as though he was using it to its full extent just yet. He turned towards the tattoo artist, “How long should this take to heal anyways? I’m supposed to be sent to the Village Hidden in the Rain any day now.” Actually, he should have probably left by now. He would await the response of the bearded giant.

Actually Inked Empty Re: Actually Inked

He waited. And waited. And waited. And after that, he kept waiting. Senshi seemed to be giving him just a blank stare and not saying anything for what seemed like an extended period of time. Komori would wait to see if Senshi responded at all and answer his questions accordly before donning his shirt once more. Sadly, at least to the women of the Village Hidden in the Clouds, he had to put clothes on his body. Actually. He did not. He tossed his shirt over his shoulder and made his way towards the door. His arm reached down to grasp the door handle before he turned around to the tattoo artist. “Thank you, Senshi. I mean it.” Komori gave the jounin a friendly smile, which he was probably not all that used to receiving. He then turned his attention back to the door as he applied pressure to the handle and pulled it towards him. The bells above his head rang out to announce his departure as he exited and closed the door behind him.

The Hozuki began his walk home from the center of the village totally shirtless. Countless women swooned and seemed to develop a weakness in their legs as he walked by, totally pretending not to notice them in order to further his cool guy demeanor and whatnot. Had he continued a conversation with Senshi, he would probably have been at least somewhat more serious with a war approaching and all. Instead, Komori began randomly dropping to the ground and doing pushups and situps to show off his killer physique.

Yadda yadda yadda, the chuunin made his way home when he noticed a package at the door to his house. With his curiosity piqued, Komori picked up the box and headed inside. The box was a simple rectangle, with one side being longer than the other, and all black. The only exception was a red cloud adorning the lid of the box. He stepped back from the box for a moment, hesitant to open it. He had seen this exact symbol on the Makukage’s garb before he announced his takeover and plans for world domination and the like. He opened the lid which revealed folded up clothing with a note on top. Upon picking it up, it read, ‘To KOMORI HOZUKI, War is on the horizon. We will be the New Dawn. -Slaanesh.’ Komori then lifted up his new shirt and tried it on, since he was shirtless already.

“A new dawn, huh?” He repeated as he looked at himself in the mirror.
