The Road to Suna

He set up the base, captured more citizens, and hadn't had to kill anyone. Until the end, somebody hadn't wanted to follow rules, he wanted to be the hero! It wasn't Sora's fault, he told himself that over and over again, it wasn't his fucking fault!

But no, people started to get closer to him, he didn't have any time for resistance. The rule of the MakuKage wasn't over, he needed to get to Suna and these little cretins wouldn't stop him. His anger took him over and the first man who rushed him was impaled by a chain straight through his head. It was gruesome, blood sprayed everywhere and brains leaked out the side of his head. He didn't flinch when he heard the call of 'daddy' or 'honey!', they had their chance to back down but someone just had to be a hero.

There were no such things as heroes in this world. "A select army of Kumogakure will stay here to watch you guys, continue to establish Kumo's rule across Yuki and control all of these civilians. Anyone who tries to step up, escape, or anything you don't like, kill them."

Sora then took off towards the gates, he didn't know if Vigil was coming or not, but he didn't have any time. He was already behind time.

He had made it to Earth borders. It wasn't really different, it was still close to Snow Borders so it was freezing, but as he started to head south it was getting warmer. In the academy, it was needed that you have information about the land around you, just in case if you ever had to leave the village for a mission or something like, you know, a war?

As day turned to night it reminded Sora was it was like to lay in the fields during the sunset, he'd always use to do it with Roxas and the other orphans. The beautiful arrays of colors flashing his surrounding, and the plains as the green grass would tickle him as the wind blew. The Uzumaki adopted a small smile on his face as he inhaled the crisp air. It’s really nice out here.

As Sora took in more of his surroundings he realized it was turning into night. He had probably crossed multiple countries now, he was pretty fast on his feet. It was so nice and peaceful that Sora wouldn’t even mind just sleeping out here.

Sora continued to run, there was no time for breaks, he had been running all night. He was about to continue but he needed to get some rest and food, he needs the energy to fight. He took out a kunai and looked around. It was dry around here but he needed to find something to eat. How about a snake or if there are any forests around here?

He got out of track and started to run west. Not to West to get out of the borders of Bird. The Uzumaki finally found a forest! He jumped in the trees and started to hop around. He wasn't good at it like the shinobi from Konohagakure, trees are their natural habitats, they have always jumped through trees for their whole career. Just like how Kiri was with water, and Kumo had lightning, or at least Youka had black lightning. Uh... Hoshi likes stars?

He almost tripped and fell out of the tree but luckily he knew Tree Walking. Sora shook his head, he always lost his thoughts. All of a sudden he heard something and without thinking he chucked his kunai with all of his strength. A loud squeak sounded out throughout the forest. He'd gotten a squirrel, oh well, it was something instead of nothing.

The boy jumped to the ground and grabbed the carcass of the squirrel. Before he could eat the wild animal he needed to get it prepared. He started to skin the fur off of the squirrel and then cut the head and tail off. He then cut open the squirrel and started to gut it slowly. After it was prepared he used a low-level Katon jutsu to light the meat on fire and started to cook it. After a while he made the fire go out and took in the great scent of the animal inside his nostrils. The pink meat had turned brown and it smelled really good.

He had never had squirrel before, and he was too hungry to chicken out now, the Genin started eating the salvageable foreign meat. After he finished eating he went to find a small cave and slept for the rest of the night. Waking up, he started to run once again. He didn't really get full from the squirrel, but he wasn't ready to stop now. He luckily found a bird nest and harvested the eggs. It was harder to get this cooked, he had to heat up something to cook it. He placed four kunai on the ground and cracked the eggs on them. It wasn't really stable but he started a fire under the blades anyways.

After a few minutes they were finally cooked and he stopped the fire. He waited for a while so that the kunai and the eggs would cool down. He grabbed the first egg and started to eat it with his bare hands, there wasn't really anything else he could eat it with, he wasn't going to just create utencils out of wood for one meal, it was better to eat it like a wild animal rather than a human being when you were in a rush. He didn't need to even mention the fact that there was no one around to see him greedily gobble it down. Sora finally got moving once again after breakfast, feeling a bit better after eating.

He had found a nearby body of water and drank it after he made sure there wasn't anything that'd hurt him, he even used a small medical jutsu on himself just in case before he continued once again. Just a few more!

The next border would be Wind! He'd finally make it to Suna in a good amount of time, it only took him passing through three different borders. Earth, Bird, Stone, and then he'd finally make it to Wind. He wondered who was there, Komon, Komori, Senshi, Reizo, or Max? He was positive that Maku was going to be there, but was any other ally coming to help?

He wasn't sure but as he got closer to Suna he smelled something really good. Was that BBQ and girl scout cookies?
