On the road again...
Thu Dec 19, 2013 3:55 pm
The road to Yukigakure took the two travelers northward. Naturally Shinji would lead the way, but he would not use his incredible speed as he did not wish to leave Daemon in his dust. Of course the speed at which he was walking was rather slow, but Shinji figured it was nice to take it easy. After all he was always moving around so quickly that it was a blur, well, not a physically blur, but the days turned to weeks and weeks to months. It was rather nice to take a simple stroll through the countryside. The landscape around Tengakure was surrounded by rolling hills of green grass as far as the eye could see. However, the perceptive kage noticed that the green grass began to change from green to a dismaying brown as they moved further north. Furthermore the wind started to pick up and attempt to bite through Shinji's thick travel cloak, but to no avail. The Uzumaki was mostly silent through the trip and did not attempt to engage in conversation with the Yuki during the trip. Rather he hoped that he was giving the kid a chance to reflect or something to that effect.
Shinji took this time to reflect on his life in Tengakure, because, believe it or not, this was the first time he had been away from Tengakure on a whim. He had once visited the land of Iron once, but it was not too interesting as it was a kage summit. For once iin his life he could travel the world as he had always wanted to. Before he was shackled to the village and, in a way, he still was, but it was not such a time consuming shackle, if that makes any sense. As they neared the land of snow the landscape took on a much more drastic change that pulled Shinji from his internal reflection. Now, as opposed to rolling plains of green, there was a flat snow covered tundra that fed into a snow laden forest. Of course the road to Yukigakure led straight through said forest, so Shinji moved onwards and allowed himself to be lost in the beauty of the freshly fallen snow. Luckily it was not snowing right now or Shinji was pretty sure he would get lost in a heartbeat. Sure, he had a map, but a map was quite useless when one could not see the road itself. Thus, mentally crossing his fingers, Shinji moved onwards.
In a matter of two hours he was within the forest and drawing ever closer to the village hidden in the snow. Of course this thought brought something to the Tenkage's attention: what was the diplomatic status of Tengakure with Yukigakure. Sadly this was something Shinji had overlooked and not checked in on said status before he left. Regardless the Uzumaki was fairly sure he could handle whatever he was bound to meet in the village. He was one of the five kage of the major villages after all. It would take quite a lot for him to be bested by a minor village. Then again Shinji knew getting cocky was never good as that led to mistakes and mistakes were something he could not afford to make. As a result of these series of thoughts, Shinji started to take in his surroundings with a keen eye looking for advance scouts from the village. Granted he was pretty sure his massive chakra signature was probably visible to any shinobi in the immediate area. There was one point where Shinji was about 90% sure that they were being followed, but then it turned out to be naught more than a mere snow shoed rabbit.
Shaking his head Shinji turned and continued walking, hopefully Daemon was keeping up. In another hour or so the pair, assuming Daemon had not wandered off somewhere or had not been eaten by a large snow bear, would arrive at the village hidden in the snow. Rather interested to see how two travelers would be greeted, Shinji moved forward with a attention to each detail. He was looking for something out of place. One could never be too careful when it came to approaching a village. Village shinobi could be very jumpy around strangers and the last thing Shinji wanted was to incapacitate a new Yukigakure shinobi if they tried to attack him, which would probably end poorly for said ninja if they were to attack. Only time would tell.

The two headed north on the road out of Tengakure headed towards the village Daemon considered to be his clans birth place, Yukigakure, Who knew maybe they would run into some cool people while they were there. The rolling hills of Tengakure changed to that of dead brown grass as the wind picked up its pace the wind would be cold to most but to Daemon a member of the Yuki clan the wind was nothing more than a nice breeze on his face. He lowered his hood as he smiled a little glad to be away from so many bad memories that Tengakure held, albeit it was just three memories that he was glad to be away from but still this trip was a much needed thing for the small boy. Shinji did not attempt to make any form of conversation as they made their way to the foreign village and as such Daemon kept quit as well just walking slightly behind Shinji and thinking of what he had done not long ago.
Daemon life in Tengakure was not a long one so the thoughts of things that had happened were over rather quickly as he looked up and saw the snow covered flat ground that went into a forest that lead into Yukigakure. The cold should be effecting Shinji some at this point but to Daemon with his blood line it felt like there was no change really in temperature here. Daemon watched as Shinji trudged forward into the forest and followed him looking at the snow that was clinging to the trees like its life depended on it, a little ironic when he thought about it the snow would kill the trees if left there to long but at the same time it could be used to give the trees life if it melted slow enough. The snow was not falling now, and a good thing too his eyes might be able to see through a blizzard and hidden mist justu but not through the snow on the ground if it were to cover the road.
They had been walking for around two hours, Daemon at this point meditating as he walked keeping his head clear and hoping to deal with the monsters left by killing his father and watching his mom die, when they came out of the forest. The village was within sight when Shinji stopped and turned around quickly just to see a rabbit and shooed it away while travelling onward. The wild life here was amazing as he saw what appeared to be a rather large snow bear off in the distance the snow that was falling at this point only made it visible to those who could see past the snow with ease before it turned and disappeared over a hill.
It took another hour but they had made it to the village hidden in the snow and Shinji slowed down being careful as he neared the village not wanting to set off a trap or anything as he did so. Daemon would watch carefully to see if he was able to see anything with his clans unique dojutsu while the snow began to fall a little faster here around the village. He could see why it was called the village hidden in the snow, rather obvious to anyone who would happen to look at the snow that fell like rain here. He hoped that no one would attack as it would leave shinji to take care of most of the work seeing how he was stronger and faster than daemon was at this point, but there would be a time when Daemon would rival even the former Kage of his village and maybe then he would be able to lead Tengakure to be one of the greatest villages there was. The thought of that was cut short by one thought 'If you hadnt tried to kill them maybe you could have done so sooner you idiot....' depressed now he moved forward his head hung low and his back slightly bent as he came up behind Shinji. He had not yet had another black out like he had just a few days ago and he hoped it could wait until he got the ring that he wanted to help keep him in check.
