Arrival at the Frontlines Empty Arrival at the Frontlines

It was a long journey, but Reizo soon found himself surrounded by sand instead of trees, and blue skies instead of a cloudy overcast. He knew it would be hot, but he had never known such dry heat. Growing up in Kumogakure and living his whole life there, he really only experienced humid heat. It was a pretty drastic difference. He felt like he couldn't go more than a couple hundred meters without drinking through his water bottle. His lips were getting drier by the minute. He hoped he would see some familiar faces soon, as he expected that some of his Kumo comrades were already there to advance the interests of the Fatherland.

Screw. The. Heat. Komori knew that it would be rather hot, seeing as that he was headed to the Village Hidden in the SAND, but he had silently hoped that it would be a beach instead of this sprawling desert that seemed to never end. He exhaled deeply as he realized that there probably were not going to be any hot girls in bikinis. At least the Hozuki would not get distracted in combat though. Komori wiped the newly formed sweat from his brow, silently cursing his own nature for being composed of water. The shinobi signed the handseals for storage displacement and drew out a water bottle as he began to take sporadic sips in an attempt to cool himself and remain hydrated. He hopped the border between the lands and entered the Land of Wind, intent on finding his comrades and joining the war effort.

It would not be long before he, by total coincidence, saw his comrade Reizo in the distance. Komori used body flicker to travel at a speed of 225 in order to catch up to him. He would pop up right next to his buddy and strike up a conversation as though they had been walking together the entire time, "This heat is proving to be rather insufferable, don't you think?"
