Jayce's Genin Exam

The day had finally come, sooner than he had anticipated, for Jayce to finally take his exam and become a full fledged ninja of Kirigakure. He arrived early for his exam and was now awaiting the instructor to call his name so that he could begin.

Ren sat at his desk in the exam room, "next he called out, waiting for the next student to enter. Ren looked up as a young red head boy entered the room. "Jayce, your taking the exam rather early... shall we begin then?" Ren would say, gesturing for the boy to begin by performing the clone and transformation techniques

It was the very same instructor that had taught him about chakra and its capabilities on his first day at the academy. "Yes sensei." Jayce said as he made his way to the center of the room and prepared to perform the very techniques he had in front of his class that day. It had been fairly simple for him to do so then, and would be even more so now. He had practiced his chakra control heavily, even managing to learn how to sense the chakra of others and suppress his own which was supposedly unusual for an academy student. So if performing these simple techniques were all that was required to be acknowledged as a full fledged Kirigakure shinobi then this exam would be a piece of cake. 

The red haired teenage Uzumaki began almost immediately upon reaching the center of the room, only pausing to bow to the instructor out of respect. His hands moved together slow and pointedly to create the hand seals required to perform the first of the two techniques he was required to do. He made absolutely certain that they were perfect this time around so that his sensei had nothing to complain about. In a matter of seconds an exact replica of the instructor, Ren Tsubasa, was standing there in place of where Jayce had been. Without hesitating, more or less to try and show off a bit, Jayce in his transformed state performed another series of quick hand seals and created two exact copies of himself. He waved his right hand at the instructor and winked. Then he let his body go back to a resting position and stood there for a second or two before releasing both techniques and returning to his original form.

"Impressive" Ren nodded, but don't get too cocky Jayce, lets see you perform the transformation technique while maintaining the clone technique then. Ren would say, deciding to mix things up and challenge his arrogant student. "I'm sure that wont be too much trouble for one such as yourself?" Ren said, waiting to see how the boy reacted.

After releasing the techniques the instructor asked Jayce to try again starting with the clone technique and maintaining it while he performed the transformation. Basically he wanted the Uzumaki to do the same thing he had just done, but in reverse order. "As you wish."

Once more Jayce performed the hand seals for the basic clone technique, creating two exact copies of himself with one on either side of him. He did a quick stretch and the clones mimicked his movements; of course that was simply to prove they were the clones he was instructed to make. Returning to his original position while maintaining the clone technique, all three redheads then performed the hand seals required for the transformation technique. There was a puff of smoke before the three Jayce's reappeared as three Ren Tsubasas in their place. "Is this adequate, Tsubasa-sensei?" he would ask, pouring as much respect into the question as he possibly could.

Ren nodded at the boy, hopefully the boy wouldn't resent him too much for trying to teach him some humility. "Yes, almost completely perfect actually, I'll admit I'm impressed." Ren said standing and gesturing for the boy to follow him as he lead him into the next room. Leaning against the wall Ren would speak once more. "You now have five minutes to heal one of the animals in this room, take your pick he would say before leaning back and pulling out a book, seemingly not paying any attention to the boys actions

The instructor said that Jayce had done well, perfect in fact, before leading the redhead in to another room. There were pedestals all over with wounded animals just like the room he had first practiced medical ninjutsu in. It didn't take a genius to figure out what was coming next. As if on cue, the proctor would then tell Jayce that he now had five minutes to heal one of the animals. Realizing that his timer had already started, the young Uzumaki quickly headed over to a nearby pedestal with a fox on it. It was covered in cuts and one of its paws were injured. He knew what to do right away. He worked quickly as his hands, now glowing with green healing chakra, moved from one injury to the next. He took care of the injured paw first before finishing up with the many cuts. It was just over four and a half minutes when he finally finished. "Sensei, I've finished healing this fox if you want to check my work."

Ren strode over to the boy, still reading the section of his book on the paralysis seal until he reached the pedestal with the creature on it, quickly examining the animal Ren gave it a pat on the back with an influx of medical chakra to get it back on its feet before turning to the boy. "Good Job Jayce, Not a scratch left on her. I'm glad to name you a Genin of the Mist, may you carry the title with Honour, never forget that no matter where you go the academy's doors will always be open for you." He would say as he pulled a headband out of his coat pocket and presented it to the boy. Giving the boy too a pat on the back He turned to leave the room and file the papers to formally authorise the boy's promotion.

Jayce gratefully accepted his new headband, tying it onto his waist before leaving the room after Ren did. He was now finally a Genin of the Hidden Mist. Now he would really be able to do something for his village.
