Reizo grinned as Komori conceded to the revered code of dibs. Having a bjuu sealed inside him made Reizo shiver in anticipation. He wasn't sure what to expect. He knew bjuu provided great power to their host; he'd felt it from Mortarion in the past. But Reizo didn't really care about the new power as much as he cared about the opportunity to study and observe a bjuu in person. This was a once in a lifetime experience, and something very few people in the history of the ninja world can lay claim to. He would be stepping into the realm of legends by taking on the mantle of hosting a bjuu.
He didn't know what to expect in the ritual for sealing, but Komori made it seem quick and simple. After a few hand signs, Komori would touch the flaming body of the demon cat, which oddly seemed nearly cool to the touch just like any creature's fur would. Reizo concluded this must be because the cat was unconscious, and the flames were a voluntary response to feeling threatened. Komori would then touch Reizo's right shoulder. It would burn a bit, and he'd feel some discomfort, but it was nothing like the fire he had fought through to defeat the demon cat. The 2-tailed Matatabi would glow and then burrow its way into Reizo's arm. It was almost like his shoulder had become a Master Ball capturing a legendary Pokemon.
Immediately, the Chuunin felt a surge of emotions, mostly frustration and anger, as the bjuu's emotions became intertwined with his own. He almost felt bad for the 2-tailed beast, but it was certainly the right course of action. It couldn't be allowed to continue rampaging, and this way Reizo could keep a very close eye on it and get to understand it on an empathetic level.
The blonde almost snapped when Komori tapped his arm. It was like had been frustrated all day and the punch nearly set off a knee-jerk explosive reaction of anger. Reizo barely managed to control his temper, and then questioned where it had even come from. Did the bjuu have that profound of an effect on his psyche already? This new partnership may've drastically altered Reizo's personality altogether. He had to learn more, and he couldn't wait to further observe and entertain the new beast within. Reizo stiffened and gritted his teeth as he held back the seething rage, and forced himself to smile and thank Komori, retaking control of his actions.
"Thanks Komori, you're the best! Couldn't have done it without ya. Think we should head back to Kumo to give a status report? It seems like whatever happened here in Tornado Country, happened without us," Reizo said to his friend. Assuming Komori followed, Reizo would then prepare to head back to Kumogakure. Unfortunately, his tent had been torched in the preceding attack, so he wouldn't be able to change his clothing for the long road back. He didn't even have the hood on his cloak anymore to shelter him from Komori's rain. The fires were all put out now; all that remained of their fight was a massive circle of mud and ashes, and a slightly smaller crater from Reizo's kick. Rolling his shoulders to shake off any feelings of discomfort, Reizo would then begin to walk in the direction back to Lightning Country, where he hoped they could celebrate their victory. He planned to buy some new clothes, and maybe get some new gloves and a new piercing too. Everything he was wearing aside from his Flak vest, which had been safe beneath his cloak, had been melted and scorched by the intense flames of the bjuu.

Kumo. The word seemed almost foreign to the Hozuki boy’s ears. It had been a long time since he had been back home. “That sounds perfect to me.” Although mildly disappointed he did not get the bijuu, Komori was happy that he was the key to defeating one. Without his fuinjutsu barrier, Reizo would not have been able to touch the beast made of fire. Fire. This element would grow to fascinate Komori, as he would more than likely attempt to learn it as a tertiary element. Anyways, now he could list ‘Defeating the Two Tails’ on any resumes he needed to fill out under personal achievements. All in all, this was a magnificent battle, easily one of, if not definitely, his favorite. He felt an almost yearning sensation to have the rest of his battles be as taxing as this one had, even more so. Missions just would not seem to have the same risk anymore. Tucking away this feat in his already massive head, Komori’s enormous ego grew beyond what anyone would have thought possible. “Let’s go home.” Komori smiled to Reizo as the two began to walk in the direction of Kumogakure, eager to return home. The raindrops continued to fall.
