Bait & Switch (Ayato, Miyamoto)

Miyamoto listened to Shina for the entirety of the brief meeting. Ayato said some hard truths as well, and when She spoke it was a s if there was some disdain for the prince as it were. Miyamoto dared not open his mouth for anything though as the rest of what She had to say was simple. Find him alive, or get proof of him being dead. Anything along the way is just normal hazards for the mission. When Ayato said that they would take the mission, Shina was more than happy to give the immediate order to get ready to leave as soon as official documents were made and sent to them discreetly.

Miyamoto waited till after She left to finally stand before taking a look at the folder one last time.

“Ayato, we need to finish preparations before we leave...I have to go to a check up at the hospital, let me know when it is time for us to go. Also don’t forget that our fight still has to happen sometime. I won’t let you off with just a single strike either." Miyamoto said before taking his leave as well.

Finally someone in this queer place of a village that despised that Royal charade as much as Ayato Hyuuga. However, it would seem the wench did not like the sound of Ayato bringing up his achievements, judging from how her mouth stiffened at this. Well bugger her, and bugger her displeasure, Ayato had every right to claim what rightfully his. This was the honor he deserved. 

She did proceed to give words of feedback to Ayato's assessment of a situation, but it was not the one that Ayato had expected, not even close. She definitely seems to be very familiar with those Jaws of Grimma and how they operate. And doubtless, she had failed to share that little detail with the public. 

When she asked how fast they could back, Ayato held back the urge to smile for the first time since forever. "Now would be as good as a time as any, I'll warrant." He said with that baritone voice of his, as he began to rise from his seat. If that would be all then...a blood suncream joke...What did she have in store for them next Ayato couldn't help but wonder...licking blood from the tip of a katana like a creepy sociopath? Ayato almost bristled at that, but somehow managed to force a courteous nod before turning to walk away. 

"Glad this is over." Shina had none the grace as a lady should have, and worse she seemed to be the social inept type the one that said whatever was on her mind, and anyone who didn't like could go and burn. special about her beauty either, but she had something that could captivate gazes.

As they walked towards the exit, Miyamoto reached for Ayato and said the words that no doubt every manga protagonist had at least declared to his rival once. "I'll be glad to oblige, once we get back. For now, save that hunger. We have more important concerns that require our attention. " Yes, this much was true, and it was good to be excited. Not too long they both had been sent to risk their lives alone in the darkness of the sewers. Had they been killed, doubtless no one would ever find their corpses. But now...Ayato had been standing only a few feet away from that chair.
