Ayato has arrived! [Ayato, Tsubaki]
Wed Nov 18, 2020 12:38 pm
Nagosaki made his way to the gates of Sunagakure. It's been someday, or so he had heard from Yasaki. He had only one task to do, which he powerfully delivered it. Now he needed to wait upon him and be patient either way. He knew he had to be very cautious of his surroundings, and the feeling of being around this area was bizarre for Nagosaki, but he had to stay concentrated. Yasaki regarded him as an intelligent individual by his side. And the disappearance of Ban Uchiha was anonymous, but possibly he found a new place or a home.

Ayato Hyuuga appeared at the massive gate of the village Hidden in the sand sore, tired, hungry, and most of all dismayed. The wrapping into space-time took a bigger toll on his body than he would have liked to admit. The Hyuuga Clan lord was still not accustomed to the procedure, despite its extremely high efficiency. Perhaps this Kazekage would have to fire a few of their scouts for not reporting the Hogokage's and his entourage were on their way. Only if they knew.
He found himself dreaming of a long hot bath, a juicy steak, and a soft bed when the gust of wind blew sand into his face. "They had to do the Kage summit at Sunagakure. Who makes a meeting into this barren wasteland. I can think of a hundred better places to do a Kage summit at. "
After hiding the letter into the inner pocket of his leather jerkin, Ayato removed gloves that he used to shield his hands from damage in case the teleportation went wrong and they ended up falling from the sky and tucked them into his belt. With his free hand, Ayato pulled out the Kazekage's letter, ready to show it to anyone who challenged their presence here.
Meanwhile, he would also check with the rest of his party and answer any questions they might have.

Re: Ayato has arrived! [Ayato, Tsubaki]

Musu watched from the guard post at the gates of sunagakure with a lax but thoughtful expression. A beautiful day with a nice breeze cooling the air around him and he stuck in a stuffy building doing guard duty. It had been an interesting couple of weeks for the Uzumaki jounin. He met some great new people that had opened his eyes to the wider world. His mission count was starting to pile up and he could feel that he was learning skills everyday to get him closer to his goal. However throughout these weeks something has deeply troubled him.
The Kazekage is no more, a new Kazekage has taken their place, and Musu was well aware of who this person was. When he learned that Mizu was going to be the new Kazekage there was a bit of excitement and dread going through Musu’s mind. This woman was indeed powerful but she wasn’t afraid to use them. She was calm but spontaneous at times. She was an authority in the hidden sand but if she snapped she could end our lives. This perplexed the jounin while he sat watching the shifting sands.
Musu had only done guard duties a couple times before this one. He knew it was mundane work but it was important to the village. It bored him; it reminded him of when he hunted with his father growing up except there was no game to catch. And now that Mizu is the Kage he seems to be doing it more. Musu was more qualified and a better asset to the village at the sealing corps than out here. Still, he did not dare question his positions, and he did it quietly and as respectful as he could. It was for the village. ON this particular day things were especially slow, 3 hours in and he only had one encounter.
It was then that Musu saw what he thought to be unthinkable. Out of nowhere close to the gates a group of chakra’s instantly appeared. “So FASSST” Musu would think to himself perking up, going through what just happened. There was nobody else at the gates for the last hour and musu could sense chakra signatures as they would approach, even if they were fast, but this was different. Rather than a simple movement technique this was teleportation. Similar to how he got back to Sunagakure all those years ago. He couldn’t quite figure out how they did it but it was clear that at least somebody in this group was incredibly skilled.
When the posse of apparent ninjas would get into earshot Musu would speak loudly but not yelling.
“Incredible! Welcome to Sunagakure.” Musu would say standing at attention letting out an excited smile. Musu was giddy but had to control himself. He had to do his job first and foremost and make sure they weren't a threat. Musu was always prepared to use his chakra chains at the ready to defend himself.
Musu would watch carefully as the man at the center pulled out his letter. As long as nothing out of the ordinary was attempted he would take any document the three gave him and inspect them for authenticity if they chose to do so.

Re: Ayato has arrived! [Ayato, Tsubaki]

Tsubaki, the Hogokage, and the Anbu arrived within minutes to the gates of Suna. "Woah, I wasn't expecting the previous Hogokage to have a skill like that up to his sleeve. Gotta hand it to the man in his old age." Tsubaki never saw anything from Yasaki like this. It seemed that she would need to learn more about the Kage than she thought. Ayato was sore and was facing some side effects of instantly teleporting from Hoshi gates. Tsubaki was fine due to her passive abilities to be a Senju. The Senju power of Healing allowed her to automatically recover from small injuries and surgeries.
The trio was greeted by an awestruck guardsman of Sunakagure. He seemed just as shocked about the technique as Tsubaki. He was an older man with long flowing red hair that reminded her of Masashi Uzumaki. All around, he was a handsome and cute man. He welcomed the travelers lowly, unable to contain his glee. "Awe, he's so cute. Can we keep him, Ayato?" She would tease the Hogokage and the guardsmen. "We are here for the Kage summit." She would declare to the guardsmen. If he asked to see documentation, Ayato had the letter on hand to show has evidence. Although, she would doubt that he would question the group as they did look like Hoshi guardsmen and Kage.
Before they entered the village, Tsubaki asked Ayato a serious question in a hushed toned so that Musu wouldn't get the wrong idea. "With these Kage, I don't know much about them besides common knowledge. Who are we up against? I had heard that Suna was formed by a bunch of missing ninja. Should we trust them?" Tsubaki wanted to know as much as Ayato knew going into this mission. Information could be the deciding factor between life and death.

Yasaki arrived with the crew but it was time to head to hoshigakure. He left his clone Nagosaki to stay with the hogokage and just to wander around the village. He had nothing else to do besides heading home, he wasn't feeling right. The old man teleported home within a flash arriving at the village gates of hoshi.

Re: Ayato has arrived! [Ayato, Tsubaki]

The black-haired Kage took a deep of dry morning air as he looked up to the rise of an orange-reddish sky. A tranquil scenery this was, like one from a dream. It was truly unpleasant when the shadow of a tall, tall mountain hide it from his eyes.
The taijutsu user responded with a courteous nod and took a moment to look at the red-haired man welcoming them from a vantage point. Admittedly, he was not the kind of lowlife Ayato had expected from a shinobi in Kenshin Uzumaki’s service. Despite his creepy persona and a weird fascination with death. The Zombie did have an ocean of reason and rationale. Even displaying the feeling of loyalty by refusing to let Ayato die once. That was, of course, before he turned around and betrayed them. However, if Kenshin could build on that and inspire the hearts of those around him, that in a way was even more dangerous than him controlling a horde of mindless cutthroats with promises of plunder.
Somehow it was Tsubaki who spoke first, and those white eyes of his rolled in disbelief. The expression "Think before you speak" must have had an otherworldy meaning to Senju Jonin. Or maybe she thought they were in some romantic theater play, like those in the Hoshigakure City Square. Alas, this particular band of Hoshi shinobi was in the middle of the desert, in foreign territory. With the possibility of an archer hidden somewhere, ready to fire a bow at their fucking heads. The raven-haired Kage would have hated to see Tsubaki being caught with an arrow through her eye while in the middle of using a pick-up line. A gruesome way to go. The Senju's potential was there, plain to see -the same this Byakugan heir had displayed four years ago when he was a boy of thirteen- but Yasaki might have been a bit too eager to promote her to Jounin. It was the right decision to bring her along. This was an opportunity for her to learn from the finest of the ninja world.
“Tsubaki, I would keep the unnecessary pleasantries after the Kage Summit is over.” Jakosaki Dosser's laugher gave a rattling sound. “Seems like your Jounin has fallen in love, m’lord. Why don’t you invite that guy closer so she can take a better look at him.” The Nova member said loud and clear, in a nearly playful tone, but his eyes were not smiling. Taking one step and then another, nimble as a cat, Jakosaki was now a couple of meters away from his liege lord’s right side. Those grey-green eyes of his locked on their welcoming party, Ayato saw.
“This is Ayato Hyuuga, Seventh Hogokage of the Village Hidden in the Stars and Lord of Clan Hyuuga. The rest of us are his entourage. I assume you would like to escort us in before we are buried in the sand.” The grizzled sellsword had taken control of the situation that Tsubaki had given away almost immediately.
“I believe we are expected,” The Hogokage added with ice to his voice, so the wind would not devour it. His tone, however, remained courteous and nonthreatening. “ I received an invitation from the Kazekage and decided to honor it. I even wrote my own letter in response. ”
Ayato had admired the works on paper done in that fine handwriting of his. The writing of that response took him back to the hundreds of hours of calligraphy lessons back in the old Hyuuga compound in Konoha. The scrubbing of quill on paper and through that to the wooden table, the aging, balding Hyuuga sitting across him with a look of disapproval underneath these cold white eyes. He remembered all that clearly; it was only natural he'd notice if there was anything off with something he'd written. He had made it clear they were showing up here as friends, not enemies.
Tsubaki spoke once again, this time directly at Ayato. "With these Kage, I don't know much about them besides common knowledge. Who are we up against? I had heard that a bunch of missing ninja formed the sun. Should we trust them?"
“If there were a Kage encyclopedia where anyone could read the intentions of all the Kage, then that would kind of defeat the purpose of a summit,” Ayato said not unkindly.
“Your curiosity is understandable. Observe for yourself when the meeting begins.” Please do not speak to any of them unless spoken to. If you must, you will address them as sir and Kage-same.” The young Kage said to the Senju Jounin. “We are shinobi; being distrustful of anyone that does not belong in our village should be as common to us as breathing. If someone is stupid enough to tell you otherwise, bring them to me. I might have a Bijuu to sell them.”
The nearly eighteen-year-old boy ran his free hand through his long black hair as he took a moment to consider this. His pale skin turned almost bronze in the sunlight, highlighting the scar underneath his cheek. "You could say me, and the funder of this Sunagakure are old acquaintances. I once saw him survive being ripped to shreds, right in front of me. Blood, rotten flesh, and even brains splattered all over my face and uniform. It took me days to take the stench off. The scenery is something I will remember until my last day in this world, doubtless."
With that, the Byakugan heir tried his best to keep his brow from forming into a frown. "The horrific stories that you might have heard about Kenshin Uzumaki do not do him any justice.." He sucked in air through those perfect teeth of his as if the aftertaste of whiskey had burned his throat. "If anything, I assure you, they have been watered down.”
If everything were in proper order, he would proceed with their entry into Sunagakure.

Re: Ayato has arrived! [Ayato, Tsubaki]

The proceedings would progress as intended with a little extra fanfare to boot. Rather than Ayato speaking, another spoke on his behalf, a sign of absolute authority and dominance over others. This man was the Hogokage, one of the five great ninja leaders of the world, and he was standing mere meters away from Musu. No wonder such a figure had a man that could teleport them into this distance.
Almost as suddenly as they appeared one of the men that accompanied him teleported away. Leaving without a trace of chakra in the area as he vanished. So it was possible to teleport long distances like that. Musu’s mind raced with this realization and he must figure out how to do it himself.
The hogokage and his entourage would hand their papers over to the Uzumaki and he would inspect them for authenticity. So the new Kazekage was holding a summit before she held a ceremony to crown herself the Kazekage? Musu was a bit bothered by this because the ceremony was actually one of Musu’s favorite parts of being in the village. A large celebration to honor the bringing in of a new era. He still had no idea what really happened to the former Kazekage and Musu didn’t appreciate being left in the dark like this. Perhaps he could suggest it the next time the two met.
He also noticed that Ayatos eyes appeared to be similar to Soujis eyes but not exactly the same. His were white while Souji’s were a little more violet. The Hogokage claimed that they were from the Hyuuga clan, perhaps there's a connection there.
As Musu made sure that he did his job as correct as possible the Hogokage Ayato would continue to jest in small talk. His conversation topics about the founder of New Sunagakure was acquainted with this Hogoakge and described a scene out of a horror novel. But Musu did not flinch. Growing up in the forests and sand dunes with his parents hunting game gave the Uzumaki a very real outlook on life. He had been exposed to horrifying realities at a young age. While he may have not experienced true horror yet he knew that it existed in this chaotic land. Musu didn’t care what he did because it wasn’t his business.
“A smart ninja knows his abilities and respects those clearly stronger than themselves. You are clearly one of the strong ones. And to have a man that can teleport like that under your service gives me all the information I need to know.” Musu replied looking right into Ayatos pale white eyes but also with a smile.
As soon as Musu finished with the final document he would return them to their respective owners. As if by sheer serendipity another Sunagakure ninja would enter into the guard box from inside the village.
“I’m stepping in a little early today. Enjoy” The guard chuunin would say with a forced grin.
“I suppose I’ll take you into the village, right this way.” Musu would gesture into the village. If there were no objections Musu would travel with the group into the village, directing them to lodging destinations or the spire when they requested it, and leaving the Hogokage and his entourage to get down to business. This sure was an exciting day for the Uzumaki of the Sand.

Re: Ayato has arrived! [Ayato, Tsubaki]
Sat Dec 05, 2020 12:45 am
Ayato didn't seem very fond of Tsubaki's spunky attitude and bright personality. He shot her with a deadly gaze to remind her of her place. Ayato didn't know this about her but she was not a person who listens to the ranking system. That doesn't mean she's disrespectful and won't politely speak to the Kage's at the summit, she was representing the village after. But she found it better to look at the person themselves rather than their rank. Tsubaki didn't think of herself as just a rank either, she was a very strong and confident woman in her own eyes. It was one of the things that Ayato might learn about her as they grow closer.
Dosser, the Anbu that had traveled with them, laughed at Tsubaki. He thought it was funny that she had already fallen in love and teased her about it. Tsubaki smiled, glad that someone on this trip wasn't entirely a stick in the mud. Dosser took over introducing themselves to Musu. The guard explained that he respected the group's power and knew that it would be smart not to mess with them. It was an odd sentiment. Did the Guard think he was going to battle the Kage and the guards? They were there diplomatically, why would he need to size up their power. Tsubaki had a bad feeling about this village.
Ayato went over with Tsubaki about how she should act at the summit before they would need to enter the village. "Do not speak to any of them unless spoken to. If you must, you will address them as sir and Kage-sama... We are shinobi, being distrustful of anyone that does not belong in our village should be as common to us as breathing." Of course, she already knew how to address the Kage. Tsubaki was annoyed by these toxic ideals. Constant sirvalence and hypercautionary practice was no way to live one's life. Tsubaki wondered about what kind of sad life Ayato lived to be perceived as so shallow.
"...I might have a Bijuu to sell them.” Those last words would hit Tsu like bricks. Sell them? We are selling Bijuu like weapons? Tsubaki was outraged but refused to show it or express it at this moment, it wasn't the time. Tsubaki knew little about the Tailed Beast but what she did know was that they were creatures with immense chakra. But they were still living things. This treatment of them had always baffled her. Perhaps the Kage summit would shed some light on this act. She would need to find out more about the Kage.
As for a response to Tsu's question about the Kage, Ayato responded by saying that if there more knowledge on the kages, it would be pointless for them to be in power. It was basically Ayato's way of saying that he had no idea what he was going up against at this meeting. Tsubaki would have to guard the Kage on the fly and to respond to the situation as it went along.
However, he did have information about the founder of this new Sunagakure, Kenshin Uzumaki. It was a name pretty familiar to the Hoshi Shinobi as he was a high ranking official with a history shrouded in mystery. Some painted him to be a cold-blooded monster with a deadly intellect. Ayato showed the Senju his scar and explained that he had seen Kenshin get torn alive and live and that the tales were not only true but barely show his true nature. The guard was clearly listening but didn't seem to show any reaction. Perhaps it was common knowledge to the shinobi here of this Monsters's power. Tsubaki felt her throat tighten and her facial muscles contract. She was afraid. After noticing this fear, she quickly shut it down, remembering her own power. She was a Senju and Hoshi Jonin now, she was going to face this monster for the sake of the mission and information.
Musu would wrap up writing in the document and allow passage into Sunagakure. Tsubaki would position herself on the left of Ayato as the Anbu would be placed on his right. Musu would act as their guide into the village. They made their way through the Cleft and entered the Village.
