Eughh, exams are the worst. Do you want to know what made these particular chuunin exams worse? Akemi had to do MORE than just sitting at home and studying, he had too... Write words. Soooo many words. It was hell. At least, it could be classed as that, because Akemi was feeling particularly motivated today. Heck, he had even walked all the way to the Tachibana Wildlife Reserve to train. Something that he rarely did, it was stupid. Motivation was the very essence of being a shinobi, what kind of one was he if he didn't have any? At least he was retributing the problem now, by finishing all the techniques he had 1/2 way learned already.

He walked up to a nearby twig on the ground, staring intimately at it. There was a technique which he had been learning the other day, one which would improve upon his stealth. A technique which used his primary element -wind- to completely muffle the sound of his footsteps. It was a very useful technique, one that Akemi fully intended to abuse the crap out of. It was almost as if Akemi himself had developed the technique, but he knew for a fact that it wasn't possible in the slightest. Akemi and creating things did not go hand-in-hand. Unless it was to do with his wonderful scarf, which he still needed to finish making. But was too lazy to write the last 1k words.

Right, so the wind technique only required three hand seals, he had already learned pretty much everything to do with the technique, he just needed to revise on certain areas. He lifted his hands from his sides and pressed them together 3 times to create the hand seals: Ram-Horse-Ox and then, directed wind chakra to his feet. A sensation that made his feet tingle in the most peculiar way. With the chakra surrounding his feet, a white aura surrounded them. Making Akemi's feet feel 'lighter' and more free. And then, he simply lifted up his foot and smashed it down on the twig he had walked up to. The resulting action was quite strange. It was weird to see something which should make a noise, but didn't. The twig snapped in half, without a sound. He had done it!

With the first 1/2 learned technique out of the way, it was time to move onto the second one. The Flicker Movement Technique. A space time jutsu, which used chakra to alter the user's flow of time. Albeit in a slightly tiny scale, due to it's low ranking and easy-to-achieve nature. Altering time? Pffft, child's play. All that wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff (Doctor Who references, ftw) could be interchanged and manipulated with relative ease. All it required was a little bit of a push and use of chakra, and it all became like putty in your hands. Free to be shaped and manipulated as you see fit.

Well, it wasn't going to be easy, but he was going to learn this technique!

With his sudden burst of motivation, or whatever it was, Akemi closed his eyes and started inhaling deeply through his nose, clearing his mind, helping him think with much more clarity and ease. He started feeling time move around him, feeling his being shift through the endless expanse of space and time. It made him feel small and insignificant, which he was, but instead of rejecting the feeling, he welcomed it. All were a slave to time, no exceptions. If he were to fight it, he would get nowhere, at all.

With this newfound sense of time and space, Akemi took one more breath before slowly lifting both his hands together, pressing both his hands together afterward. Then, he signed the three hand seals necessary for Flicker Movement, molding his chakra to the correct shape and consistency. Then, using this newly molded chakra, Akemi directed it... He wasn't entirely sure about that one. Where did it go? He just sort of... Directed it wherever it felt like it needed to go?

Wherever the chakra went, Akemi still felt a shift. Everything suddenly seemed slower. He felt faster. Possibly faster than he had ever been in his life. It felt amazing, empowering. He opened his eyes and studied the world around him. It didn't look that much different, but then again, it wouldn't though... Would it? All he had done was slow down time slightly, not drastically change the way the world looked. What a numpty!

He swiftly broke into a jog, his scrawny limbs pumping with each resounding foot-step. There was indeed, a noticeable difference in his movement speed. Perhaps one which would give him the edge needed to win the chuunin exams. He was already pretty fast, maybe even faster than all his other exam buddies. But he felt like it didn't give him the needed edge to win. This probably did. Of course, the seven heavens breathing method amplified his speed and power by MUCH MUCH more than this, but it took too much out of his tiny reserves. This on the other hand, barely took anything out of them. So Akemi liked it a little bit more.

Whew, that was two out of the three techniques he had to learn completed. Now all that was left was the intersection method. However, Akemi's writer had lost all motivation now. So Akemi had the brilliant idea to not train any further, what a genius!
