Changing Seasons (Open)
Sat Jul 22, 2017 1:08 am
Making his way back to the city square, he didn't really get a chance to explore the place because of what happened yesterday. Which turned into an unexpected turn of events. But nonetheless, the Hozuki was making his way back to the area with his chakra suppressed. Walking through a crowd of people and none of them noticing that he was the one playing the saxop-
"IT'S HIM, THE ONE FROM YESTERDAY! RUN!" The guy screamed as people began to fear for their lives and start running. But the guy who yelled took a further look at Kyson and noticed something. "Wait a minute... Nevermind, he doesn't have his saxophone. We're good.. False alarm." The man said. And Just like magic, the crowd instantly turned to smiles and continued their normal lives as if nothing happened. Kyson just looked around a bit lost, everything went from peaceful to crazy and back to peaceful in a matter of seconds. But the boy would just sigh as he continued to walk down the city square. Looking at all of the stores, markets, and restaurants. He was quite enjoying this place. Then, as he began to walk past this one particular restaurant. A saw a guy leave out the store with an angry tone.
"This food is disgusting, how could anyone eat this crap?" The man said as he stormed out. If it was Suna, he probably would've confronted the man and tell him that was unnecessary. But this wasn't his village and not his problem. His role was playing the guest, so that's what he was going to do. As he entered the store in his suit attire. The man behind the counter looked really down and worried after the commotion. Kyson would walk up to the counter. "Rough day huh?" The boy said to the man. The dish the customer that stormed out ate was still on the table.
"I just opened this place this morning and I've been getting bad feedback. Not one customer has liked my food." The man stated. He about 5'8 and looked a little young. Maybe about 25. Pale skin with no facial hair on his face. He had on a full all white chef suit. As he was talking, Kyson walked over to the plate of food that was sitting on the table. It looked like an average plate of chicken soup. Kyson stuck his finger in it to taste it. And as he tasted the dish, he fainted and passed out on the ground. Knocking over a chair and making a loud noise. It was the saltiest thing he ever tasted in his life. He couldn't believe the guy thought that was edible. Kyson woke up a couple seconds after and stood up in a weak state.
"Yeah.. that was terrible." Kyson said as he was slowly recovering. Using the table to pull himself up. The man had a scared and worried look on his face. "Ohhh nooo, I might have to close down because of this." The man said running around in circles. As Kyson was beginning to come to his senses. Kyson walked over to the back of the counter and saw an apron hanging. Kyson would walk over to it and out it on. "As long as I'm here, you'll stay in business." The man looked at Kyson and then looked away and whispered to himself. "I'm doomed.."

Sanae had a hard day behind her. She had been training with her father in the morning, but her results concerning the bone armour had not been satisfying for him so he made her run for like forever and only the excuse that she had to do some delivery stuff saved her from total annihilation or something. So since she had used it as an excuse to get off training she went into the city centre and onto the charity office where she helped delivering the food packages even though this time she was not hired and therefore would not gain any credit for it. But she did it anyway. But as she visited the last temple she found herself eye to eye with some extreme god fearing people to whom she practically represented the devil, or hell spawn for the least, called upon to bring misery to the world with her unholy power of chakra. To be fair, she was thinking about her clan's ability as pretty frightening and could understand if people would be running in fear when she started to rip out her bones and such. But she had never shown this type of power and this was the reaction every shinobi got so it was kind of crazy.
"Get out demon!", someone shouted at her but she had still the box to deliver in her hand so she just pulled down her head and tried to rush past them, but as she tried one of them delivered a blow to the back of her head and then other one tripping her over. She hit the floor but managed to hold up the package and looked around scared, she had never been in this situation. Never there was a reason to harm civilians, but they were hitting and kicking at her and it hurt. She tried to focus and maybe use the armour but as before it was just too weak. There then he was the acolyte who saw her predicament and the food in harm's way and took it out of her hand quickly while saying tuneless words of thanks that she could read from his lips. Then it took her some time to get up, on her feet again while she made her way through them she got hit once or twice again. As she walked out she had a blue eye and her bottom lip was swollen and bleeding a little.
While walking around she thought about what to do now? With a handkerchief she gently cleaned her face as good as possible and then there was it, a restaurant or so that had never been there before, or she did not notice. Curious like a little mouse she went to peek inside. As she entered she smiled as well as it worked for her at the moment and chimed: "Hello somebody here?" Then she paused and quickly tried to get rid of the village protector around her waist so she would not get beaten up again. Lesson learned one could say while she was fiddling with the knot that she had tied quite strong.

Quests keep people busy. They keep them from boredom, but too large a quest makes a man go mad trying to complete it. This is why Sakana made his quest, on his Hoshi visit, to be about trying every food place in the slums at least once. Originally he wanted to buy something from every store but that was a bit too impractical. Today he was trying a soup restaurant, it was the grand opening. So he figured he would try it. As he walked in the smell should have been the first thing that put him off, but Sakana had become accustomed to horrible smells in Kumo so it didn’t bother him much.
His attire was his brown raggedy looking cloak, that covered his headband from the civilians. Blending in was key around these parts. Looking at the menu there was over twenty types of soup, most of them had fancy exotic sounding names, but Sakana had very basic tastes and ordered the chicken noodle soup. He was seated in the back of the restaurant out of sight. It was here he would shoot a quick telepathic message to Senshi saying “Sakana checking in, soup restaurant.”
While he waited around for his food to be ready he started to observe something peculiar about this restaurant. Every time a customer had gotten their food and taken one bite they would get up and walk out usually commenting about how gross it was. Eventually, that only left the genin and one other customer in the shop. Just as Sakana had gotten his hopes up that his food was done it instead went to the only other man in the place. He too, like all the rest, took one bite, spit it out and left.
It was then that another man walked In the restaurant. This guy had black spikey hair, the cook and he chatted for a bit until he new guy went for a bite of soup. He had the harshest reaction to the taste to put it nicely, he had fallen on the floor and seemingly passed out for a couple of seconds. Normally Sakana would have rushed over to see if he needed help but it wasn’t his village. People around here seemed to react horribly to any outside help, so the Meijin felt best to let him get up by himself.
What the man who passed out had done next surprised Sakana. After he had gotten up he walked behind the counter and out an apron on. The Meijin had to give him props, he was the first person to try the soup and not leave. But it had been over fifteen minutes since Sakana order so he had to find out what was taking so long. He would stroll on up to the front and lean his elbows on the counter, looking up at the cook and the other man. “Hey sorry for bothering you, but I ordered my food a while ago. Is there a problem or something?” It was during this chat that a girl would walk in through the door but since Sakana was preoccupied he couldn’t answer her question.

As Kyson was ready to go to work in the kitchen. He noticed a girl had walked in, from a closer look. SHe looked a bit bit familiar. And then it ringed on him, it was the girl he had saw at the library. It was a small world he thought. Since Kyson was just about working here, Kyson looked at the man and nodded to him. basically telling him to go greet his customers. The man had a nervous appearance since everyone who ate here left. "Are you going to greet your guest" Kyson would whisper so only the main chef could here. The chef would nod back and approach the girl.
"W-Welcome, h-how may I help you t-today?" The main chef said. Kyson looked around and saw that there was another person here. He didn't even notice him when he first walked in. He walked over to the front counter and claimed he has still been waiting for his food. Kyson face palmed, the main chef is just so clueless. But there was no time to complain now.
"Well damn, my bad. What did you order?" Kyson asked the boy. He looked a bit suspicious with a cloak on. As if he didn't want people to notice. Almost like he was trying to hid something from the people. But Kyson didn't read too much into it.

This was the day of coincidences as it seemed. At the counter she could see the boy who had recently accompanied her to a little weapon shopping and the one behind the counter was the one who had bought some books about playing the saxophone from the book shop. The world was so very small that it could be scary. But first she was distracted by the suggested owner. "I would like the menu if you will and maybe a little water to go along with t?", she asked with a smile while sitting down. Gently she ran her fingers over her under lip and flinched as she touched the injured part. But it would be surly be better soon. Then she looked over at Sakana and nodded shortly: "Nice to meet you again", and after that she looked into the menu. Then she let it down again looking at the one who was cooking over there in the kitchen. He did not really seem like a cook though, but well who would question hiring choices as long as he prepared good food there was not problem about it. "Hey what is your name Saxophone Chef?", she asked nicely joking. She did not want to insult him or anything of that sort, but it was indeed funny, that he was working here.

After Sakana leaned on the counter in the front the new cook would ask him what he had ordered. “Just Chicken noodle please, oh and a glass of water would be great.” Now instead of walking back to his seat he would inside place himself on a bar stool at the counter. There was no one else around and if anyone had a problem he could easily go back.
While he was sitting he heard the girl who he had walked around the weapon shop with greet him. It sure was funny meeting here there. “And to you,” he would say. While he was waiting for his food he figured it would probably be nice to make small talk with the cooks. He would ask them, still with his cloak on, “So, what is this restaurants stance on shinobi?” Hopefully it wasn’t harsh, he wasn’t in the mood for anymore fights.

AS Kyson had two orders to deliver, it was best to make this quick. The boy would grab an empty clean glass and fill it up with water. He would then grab the glass of water and a menu. Then begin to make his way towards the young girl. As he reached the table, he placed the glass of water gently with a straw next to it. "Oh, your the girl from the library. The name's Kyson." The boy would say with a polite smile. Kyson would begin to make his way to the counter to get the other guys order. The main chef would walk over to the table with the girl. "W-Whenever your ready to o-order, just let me k-know." The man said in a nervous state.
"One chicken noodle coming up." Kyson said as he got another empty clean glass and poured nice clear water into it. He always wondered what if he hydrificated his hand and poured into a glass of water and let someone drink it. He'd probably lose a hand but how would it effect them. Well, now wouldn't be a good time to find out. But then again, there probably would never be a good time to find out. As Kyson delivered the glass water to the boy in a cloak. He would proceed to make the chicken noodles. He would get a pot, put a stick of butter in it. Grab a knife and cut vegetables at a speed of 50. Which was pretty fast for an average chef. As he let the vegetables boil, he heard the boy ask a question about the restaurants stance on shinobi. Kyson looked over towards the main chef and waited to see what his answer was. Since he didn't own the place.
"oh umm well, I don't really mind them honestly. Though a lot of people don't have the same feelings towards them as me. They don't really bother me." The main chef would say to the boy in a cloak. As he finished talking, Kyson would pour the chicken broth into a pot. Then some noodles and other nice seasonings. Grabbing a spoon and stirring it gently. Allowing everything in the bot to boil for a few minutes. Everything was now ready to serve. Kyson would grab a clean plate and pour the soup in it. "And here it is." The boy would say with a smirk.

He still seemed to have a problem getting the difference between a book shop and a library, but she would not complain. With a wide smile on her face she nodded at him. "Yes I am, my name is Sanae", she called over since he had introduced himself it was only fair if she did the same. The name had a nice ring to it and while she repeated it once or twice without giving a sound she grinned a little. Only to then look at the chef and take the menu. "I will say something thank you", she looked at the foods they served and hummed a little because she felt kind of good right now, even if her face still hurt a little. Then after some moment she put the menu down again and waved the chef closer. "So I wish for those curry noodles please, a glass of juice and a cold paper towel for my blue eye, this would be pretty delightful", she winked at him with her good eye and handed him back the menu.
A short glance she threw at Skana who she had met before who was already eating and then again looked over at the young man in the kitchen. Her chin rested inside her hand and her elbow was resting on the table. Her smile made her seem like her thoughts went far away. Astray from her mind she could see Kyson in a kind of blur, his movements becoming unclear to her and it seemed like a dance with steam and fire. Almost pretty she thought.

Sakana would sit and wait for his water and his soup. He would sit there quietly as the man who he now knew was called Kyson talk to the girl who had just walked in. The cooking process wasn’t fast, but it was way faster than most places around here. Something about how fast it was seemed odd though, especially since it was Kyson’s first day on the job. But why question the man who was making your food? That was always a bad idea since he could spit in it, or worse.
After hearing the man’s response on how they seemed to be neutral to ninja Sakana would slowly take off the cloak on his head while saying, “That’s good to hear, it was getting rather hot in here.” His kumo headband was now revealed, he wondered if that would spark a reaction out of the owner or Kyson.
As soon as that conversation ended the soup would be placed at the table. Now this was either going to be great or it would suck. And given the state this place was it he was expecting the latter. It was odd to feel nervous over food, but not irrational given the circumstances. So carefully he placed the spoon in the bowl, scooped up some chicken, and then blew on it too cool it off. It was time to try it. As the spoon touched his lips he was pleasantly surprised, it wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t terrible either. Certainly not bad enough to make someone pass out. The Meijin would smile at the owner and say, “He cooks pretty good, if you want to stay open, I would try and hire him full time.”
As Sanae would glance at him he would shoot her a small smile.

As the boy took off his cloak and revealed his headband. He was a little surprised to see that headband in this place. Though he had his own Kumo headband in his pocket at this moment. Maku told him that Kumo was coming here eventually. Guess they were finally here, he assumed. "Kumo headband? Haven't your kind around here much." Kyson would say with a smile. Talking as if he was from Hoshi or a native there.
As the girl gave her order to the chef, the man was nervous as if he never talked to a female before. "I hope your writing it all down.." Kyson would say out loud for him to hear. The man fumbled his pen as he began to write it all down. Then man would then bow to the young girl. "T-Thank you, your order will be coming soon." The man said as he hurried back to Kyson to give him the paper where he would see her order. As he took the paper and looked at what she ordered. Kyson took a big sigh as he looked at the paper. Then man literally wrote down everything she said. The paper read 'So I wish for those curry noodles please, a glass of juice and a cold paper towel for my blue eye, this would be pretty delightful.'
"Did you really write down everything she said word for word.." Kyson said as he face palmed. The chef looked another direction to avoid making eye contact with Kyson. This guy was hopeless. But nonetheless, he got the order and was ready. As he got another pot and was getting ready to start cooking. He basically just about repeated the same process with the chicken noodle soup, except added a few more different seasonings to compliment the curry. As he began cutting the vegetables and letting all the ingredients boil in the pot for a few minutes. The chef was getting the juice ready for the young girl as he poured some in a clean glass with a straw and brought it to the girl.
The food was now ready and Kyson would pour the soup in a medium sized bowl. Grabbing a paper towel and running it under cold water. Squeezing it so its not all drippy. The boy would deliver the soup and the paper towel to the girl himself. Wouldn't want the chef to screw something up by chance. As he gently placed the soup on her table and handed her the cold paper towel. Kyson would place down her utensils. "Hope you enjoy." The boy would say with a bow.
