Kama wasn’t very sure just how to respond to the man who had taken robbery of her items as no big deal when it kind of was. Admitting it was just going to make it worse in all honesty, leaving Kama rather speechless for a moment. “Uhm...I would but in Hoshigakure that's still a crime so it may be easier if you just..surrender for now so you don’t get hurt.”
The Uzumaki didn’t wish harm on him, though a thief he may be. The girl didn’t know about the other ninja, and his view of the situation was likely much different then Kama’s. It would definitely be better for the man to surrender then to try and pick a fight but she wasn’t well versed in samurai or how they took crimes such as these. The Uzumaki didn’t really have a side here, she didn’t know either of these two very well but duty wise, she was forced to be on the side of her own ally. Kama wouldn’t make any violent action towards the man herself though, waiting to see what he did, with a genuine hope this wouldn’t end in any blood shed. As a Shinobi she was prepared for such an eventuality but that didn’t mean the girl would like it.

The kid was smart. He could give her that. His eye had still been on the male as he inched closer to the two of them, his mind already registering the hand on the hilt which could mean many a thing since it was something trying to play law. Given that while he was still away enough for Masaki to actually say a few last words and what not, he made them worth it. With quick work the sword was removed from his back sheath and all and stretched out to be stuck into the ground a few inches from Kana to where she could reach it and the words were said loud enough for those near to hear in case someone tried to mistake what he had been doing," This is also yours now. I don't expect to leave here from this alive so...I think you'd be better suited to carry this guy for me," the eye had never left the male even when he was two feet from here and all of this was done before the male had reached the two and stood behind him. Honesty was the best policy, at least from certain people he knew this to be true. While some respected honesty, some did not and that was the state of the world they were in. The sword was now hers and by extension her possession now with his last wish being it goes to her. With that being said his fate was left with the sky as he felt the last pain he ever would, no menacing cry for help. No pleading for his life, not from this guy. He took his last breaths calmly, feeling the blood rush from his body before slumping on his knees in front of the sword with only a smile.

The body of the man would fall to the ground in a bisected pile, the sharpness of his blade far too strong to be withstood without proper training that the unknown man simply had not yet obtained. He’d kneel down and close his eyes with a quick swipe of his hand before flinging the blood off the blade and sheathing and turning back to the young girl. “You’re possessions are all in place now yes? He left you the sword and the katana, so what you do with them is your choice little one. I will be taking the body for proper cremation, he will be treated well. Is there anything I can do for you?” He would ask, concern evident in his voice. The fresh shinobi has just seen a hard reality of the shinobi world and he didn’t know if she had experience with death as of yet. He supposed it was for the best this way though, as it meant that if she decided this line of work wasn’t for her then she could get out of it now with enough time to find a skill she would prefer. He’d wait for her to be ready to respond, his sword safely back into its sheathe in case it bugged her. He’d feel the dull throb of his curse mark pulsing over his heart, it was like it wanted him to use some of his precious chakra. It was like it wanted him to feed it power, and energy so it could grow in strength and control him. He’d not let it win though, he was far stronger than some stupid seal. He compressed his chakra around it and blocked off it’s negative effects. He still hadn’t mastered it’s power to a useable level yet, but he would be getting close soon, he could feel it. Feel the power of the natural energy as it attempted to move itself through his coils of chakra. Feel the negative influence it was trying to cause on him. He’d fight it down for now, more important things were going on. Like the well being of a young shinobi before him.

Kama would go wide eyed at both the mans words and his sudden bisecting. It's true this was the way of the shinobi and the man had committed a crime that could be seen as rather heinous to the community...no it was. She couldn’t justify theft even if he was claiming to have done it in a way that was reasonable. Kama herself may not be ready to level out a sentence of death to another shinobi but there was no reason to hate an ally because he had strength she did not. Even still, her hands were shaking and she felt a sense of dread from the mans mangled body. She averted her eyes the best she could, sheathing her Katana and grabbing the sheathe for the much larger sword. It took her a moment to pull Stormhowl from the ground, sheathing it and sliding it over her back for care and retrieved all her money and items. She looked up at the man, trying to keep a brave face and placing her shaking hands behind her. “No..No i’ll be fine. Thank you though…”
She would bow to the man with a forced smile to try and prove she was ok and turned to leave and deal with this in her own time.

Valen was a rather attentive chunin. As such it wasn’t exactly difficult to know that the young girl was far more distraught than she let on. But he wouldn’t pressure her, how could he when caused it after all? For all he knew she could think he’d attack her if she responded badly which wouldn’t be the case at all. He’d simply have to let her do things in her own time and simply deal with this traumatic experience in her own way. “If you need anything you can usually find me by a church on the outskirts of the village, near where the desert begins. My home isn’t far from it. My usual field is marked by a large cylindrical piece of earth jutting out of the ground.” He would say to her as she walked away, still well within earshot. That would be about the best he could do in this case as if she wanted his help she’d need to come to him.
After she left he’d kneel for the two halves of the body and transport it to the local morgue where it would be searched, usable organs would be saved for those in need, and the rest would be burned with his remaining possessions still on him in respect. Valen himself would simply travel home and move on with the day. He hated that things had to happen, but he had a job to do for the village, and sometimes that meant not taking any chances at all with people. He simply couldn’t afford to. Especially when the younger generation was involved. Such a decision would be disastrous. It was these thoughts that started causing his curse mark to react once more. The marks threatening to cross over his body as his thoughts turned toward the darker ends of justification. He shook these thoughts from his mind and fought to repress the seal that was threatening to take control of his body. It wouldn’t be nearly that easy for such a seal to control him, and before long HE would control IT. It was with this confidence that he decided that his day had had enough action in it and so he decided to lay down for a few hours to get some rest.
