A day of Training on the Field (Open, nk)

The day was hot and partially cloudy as patches of shade fell onto the field from the clouds. Higuto stepped onto the field, feeling rested and ready for another day of training, as he stretched his arms out and warmed them up for stress. He had thought of what to do this time in order to get a good workout in as he looked around the field for the best place to start. He had felt that even though he was pretty fast and held a good amount of chakra within him he wasn't particularly strong when it came to hand to hand combat. Even though he was more the long range fighter he knew hand to hand knowledge would come in handy one day.

So he felt the best place to start was to train his muscles this time with some physical exercise for a change. He looked at one of the training stumps that occupied the side of the field as he walked over and sighed softly. He stretched himself out as he cracked his knuckles and hopped in place a few times. After feeling his limbs get looser and warmed up he starts to kick and jab at the stump as he allows his limbs to tap softer than regular hits in order to allow them to get used to the sting of connecting with wood. After a while of switching variety in the ways he connected his fists and feet with it he began to apply more strength as he felt sweat begin to form down his brow from the effort.

Another day in the village hidden in the leaves. It meant that there was more time for Roy to find new jutsu to learn or new techniques to master. As with every day of training Roy would wake up from the inn and head on to the training grounds. Today was like most most given all the circumstances around. The air was crisp and clean and everything seemed to be going well.

Roy got to the training grounds and as he was walking by he saw another ninja walking about the training grounds. He was alone which was strange to Roy as whenever he was here everyone around him was in the group or doing some sort of training with a partner. Roy decided that he would approach him. And when Roy was within 3 meters of him he would wave and say "hello". His Mist ninja headband clearly shown around his neck. If there was no response Roy would simply just walk on by towards the grove that he normally went to. And if for some bizarre reason Roy was attacked he would be prepared to react and defend himself. After all Roy was an alien ninja in a village that was just taken over. .

Higuto was in mid kick with the stump as he heard someone say 'Hello.' from behind him. He had felt the presence of another entering the field but hadn't expected to meet them as most who entered went about training themselves elsewhere. He stopped kicking as he turned around to look at another ninja in his teens behind him. He tried to steady his pants from the exertion he had put into the tree as he stood up straight and wiped the sweat from his head as he smiled softly.

"Hello there. I hope I'm not interrupting you or anything." He then noticed the glint of the ninja's headband shining from his neck and could see the sign of the mist village embroidered into the metal. "Oh! You're another ninja from the Mist." His own ninja band was pinned to the sleeve of his jacket as he turned fully to the ninja. He didn't know what to make of this newcomer. On one hand he could tell he held the poise of someone who had experience and strength and, therefore, could possibly have been a Chuunin. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. I hope we get to see each other as allies rather than enemies." He bowed gently before him.

Roy would inspect the boy as best that Roy could. He would see the leaf ninja head band and while Higuto was talking Roy would think to himself a great many things. Since he was a leaf ninja Roy had a innate distrust for him. Not that roy could claim that higuto was trustworthy or not but since he was a mist ninja and Higuto was a leaf ninja he wasn't sure how much tension there would be between the two.

Roy would approach the leaf ninja as he stood there talking. Should nothing happen Roy would continue to approach to the point that he would extend his hand to Higuto when at the appropriate distance and bow deeply to him to show a sign to respect. Roy would still be wary of the ninja but at least wanted to extend an olive branch towards the leaf ninja.

Higuto watched Roy approach him as he could see in this newcomer's face tension and caution at the situation. Higuto knew the ninja was perhaps being cautious of the fact that they were two ninja of differing villages and therefore practically enemies already. While Higuto himself had grown cautious of the situation it didn't mean he had to automatically be distrusting to every stranger he met unless they offered a reason to be distrusting.

He stood up from his bow as he watched the ninja approach as he kept a soft smile on his face. So far the two had just met and therefore invoked no reason for Higuto to be ready for a fight. Therefore he stood beside the stump as the ninja approached.

As Roy approached he would continue to have his hand out and bow to the ninja. Roy was willing to show respect to the ninja as long as he showed respect to Roy. One Roy reached shaking distance he would maintain his bow and keep his hand extended for a shake for a few more moments. If his hand wasn't shook then Roy would just wait a few moments to rising back up to a normal position.

Higuto blinked as he saw the extended hand and shook it as he watched the bowing ninja. "Sorry. I didn't notice. As I said it's a pleasure to meet you." He continued to watch the older ninja as he continued to be as friendly as he could for the foreign ninja. He didn't at all want to seem hostile or unpleasant for a first meeting so shaking hands came natural for him.

As Roy's hand was greeted by the Konoha ninja Roy would keep the shake going for the normal amount of time before he would end his bow and put his hand back down to hanging down by his legs. After the greeting Roy would smile a bit and ask the boy. "So what brings you out here? Doing some training I see." Roy would say in a friendly tone. Should this tone and aura of friendship continue Roy would continue being pleasant towards the konoha ninja.

Higuto regarded the words of the older ninja and nodded as his hands went into his pockets. "Yeah. I need to keep in shape to make it as a shinobi. I have a very long way to go." He kept his smile about him as he looked at the head band around the ninja's neck. "Did you come by for some training too?"

"I did, since I got to the village I have spent a lot of time around the training grounds. It is quite peaceful here. Keep up the hard work and I'm sure you'll do fine." Roy would say to the Higuto. He would notice the slight tendency for the boy to look at Roy's head band. Roy knew that this was an elephant in the room, or at least in the training grounds.

Roy had to make sure that this was out in the open. "Doe's my headband bother you." Roy would ask the boy. Should the boy remain friendly towards the mist ninja the conversation would continue to flow naturally. If something changed then Roy would still be ready to defend himself.
