Using the Back Door
Tue Mar 20, 2018 7:00 pm
A tall cloaked figure sieved through the crowded streets of Konohagakure, effortlessly blending in to the local hustle and bustle. It was a sunny day, and peaceful at that. Over the roar of busy village folk were the beautiful sound of the birds filling the air. It was an ordinary day, with ninja fulfilling their missions while their loved ones tended to their homes while they were away. The academy was filled with children playing in the courtyard, making the next generation of shinobi look promising for the Leaf village. Though the village has been troubled with the sudden oppression from the Mist Village shinobi, the village as a whole was doing just fine. After all, it was standing firm on hundreds of years of history and collective willpower. So long as that will to find the strength to protect those dear to us burned brightly in many of its villagers, including our shady figure in the cloak who just turned down a dark village alley way.
The alley way gave shade to the tall and slender figure who sought to get away from the bright, late afternoon sun. Only when the coast was clear would he remove the hood from his cloak revealing his thick red dreadlocks and headphones playing music in his ears. He quickly flattened his backside against the way when he realized the glint from his shinobi headband was attracting the attention of a random old man begging for money at the entrance of the alley way he had entered from. The old man thought he had seen something, and was looking in Allegro's direction to find it. Eventually however, the old man returned to face the crowd and continue his hustle. With a sigh of relief, the genin looked to the other side of the alley way and could see his destination. The Hokage’s headquarters. The boy took a deep breathe before bringing his hands together to form three hand signs.
The boy emerged from the alley way a new man, so to speak. Heading directly to the large red building in the capital of the village with a cowboy hat on and an until cigar in his shiny left arm, the genin disguised perfectly as a jounin made his way inside the building. Allegro casually walked inside the building and headed upstairs towards where the administrators of the building usually were. He took the long way around to avoid the path that most shinobi took, so that he didn’t attract any attention to himself, and there would be no good reason to stop him as someone who would normally have access to the building. Allegro walked down an empty hall and waited against the wall before turning the corner. Directly around the corner was a plump woman sitting at a desk screening calls and summons for Lord Hokage sama. Most likely the Hokage’s assistant, a woman named Miko. While these assistants were usually shinobi, this one in particular did not seem to have any ninja training. If the boy was not so busy sneaking into the possibly restricted areas of the building, perhaps the boy could have made for a decent assistant himself. Nonetheless, Allegro waited until the time was right, and sped past her desk the moment she was distracted long enough. To her, a slight breeze would have passed her by, but the hallway her desk sat awardly at the center of would be as empty as it was last time she looked. And with 100 speed at that, the boy would apparently vanished behind an adjacent door without detection.
There on the other side of the door which had been gently shut as to not make a sound, the leaf genin stared into the expansive room of files and documents. No windows, and no other doors besides the one he was currently leaning on. This was the room where most of the record files were kept after being signed off on by the Hokage. Allegro took a big gulp with his back still against the wall. This was the opportunity he was looking for, but where did he start? Ah of course. He pressed his finger tips against the large wooden door and an array of kanji seals formulated on its surface. The seal would keep the door locked firmly shut, keeping out any unwanted interruptions. The only way into the room he was now standing in was to overcome the sealed door's power. And who in their right might would dish out that kind of power in the middle of the Hokage’s chambers just to open a door that would appear to be just a simply locked door?
So what business exactly did the young genin have here? As he walked deeper into the room, he started to feel a hint of guilt. He had assumed this guise without thought of how it might look if he were caught. He did not mean to get anyone in trouble. However, there was something that Allegro was dying to learn more about since his visit to the World Library just off the borders of the fire country. The boy started digging through files while he kept his wits about him. He would be able to detect any chakra signature that approached within a 30 meter radius from him. For the most part, that means he had the entire wing of the building covered. He scanned through file after file on ninjas in the village. There was one for every genin, chuunin, and jounin in the village. The anbu files might have been kept elsewhere. There was even a file of the current Hokage, Risako Akara. Allegro slowed his reading pace for this one of course, when he saw that she too was a master of fuuinjutsu as well as Ninjutsu. Her signature technique was noted to be the Flying Thunder God technique, and had climbed the ranks to Anbu just before being elected as Hokage.
Allegro kept skimming for more files and eventually found a few entries regarding wanted shinobi. He flipped through its pages and locked the information in name by name, each of them with a stamp from the Hokage that read, "MISSING NINJA RANK X" . The file was originally kept in a drawer in the Hokage’s desk. However, since its last use, its relocation was never specified and somehow ended up in this very room with Allegro. The files were full of simple deserters, or ninja missing in action, soon to be presumed dead. However, there was one that stuck out from the rest. ‘Orokana. Konoha traitor turned Hoshi loyalist.’ He noted that additional reports were given by Yensung Aburame and Love Sakumo, including an unconvincing letter from the perpetrator, and an immediate dispatch order to escort him back to the village. The leaf genin’s brow furrowed at the sight and he continued reading silently in his head. He recalled the feeling of anguish in Yensung sensei’s voice and yellow colored eye when he finally agreed to train Allegro as an academy student. The kind of anguish that only one who knew the loss of a student could know. He had no idea the depth of the relationship between Yensung sensei and his former student until know, and it angered him that he had not realized it sooner. The file crinkled slightly under the grip of Allegro’s slowly closingg fist. He took a deep breathe, absolving himself from becoming too emotional. This bit of information was useful, but ultimately not the reason he came here.
Allegro left the scrolls and filed folders spread across a large table at the center of the room to find more files. After a moment, he came across what he was looking for. He had pulled out a file belonging to Ganki Sakura. Allegro had recently discovered that this man was the chief executive of the largest company in the Fire Country. With entrepreneurial goals of his own, the boy naturally wanted to seek this man out and learn all he could from his predecessor. He looked carefully for any mention of a last known location. Along the way, he learned that Ganki Sakura was resting on a long history as an Anbu captain, and had long been considered be a Hero to many in the village. It would seem that he too, was a master of the technique he had never heard of before, the Flying Thunder God. This was not missed on the boy, as he began to wonder if simply asking Hokage sama for more information on the man was the easiest route, after all. However, if he had taken this course of action, he would have never learned of the story of Orokana in full perspective, and that the ninja assigned to escorting him back would be departing relatively soon.
Allegro had started to detect a strong chakra presence entering his range of sensory by the time he finished up returning each file to their original location where he had found them. Unsure of who it was approaching, the boy had no intentions of staying to find out. He now had what he came here for, knowledge regarding the man who held the secrets of the business trade. All that was left to do now was to find him. And with that, the boy sank into the adjacent stone wall, his very being merging with the wall. He would leave the room without a trace of his presence, outside of the seal that was keeping the door locked. Allegro would emerge on the outside of the building and drop to safety long by the time anyone made it to the door, realized it was sealed with fuinjutsu, and brought forth the strength to overcome the seal. He dropped to safety in a large shrub and dispersed his transformation and returned home the way he came.

A gorgeous day. The idea of such a day wouldve played well with yen. Yet he was quietly in the shadows. The black cloak. Hid his slump figure as he gazed quietly with a tear filled eye. The paper was hotarus resignation of shinobi. As she dedicated her life to his children. Each day since he burried his children and wife he wept in a silent woe that could only mean that the hell in his hear and soul were only spurring the emotions.
A slight sniffle could be mistaken as a deep breath however. He now resided quietly in the reception area as it was the cool place from the sun. Yet he was quietly in resolve and building himself up. A person beaten down and now fate kicked him in the family jeweles. The blow was a harsh reality check.
In time... i will heal.... please watch over me....
Yen thought as the shadows from the entrance could be seen from across the room. For it was noon... high noon in fact. The aburame noted the unusual sight of some strange induvidual swaggering into the entrance of the kage entrance. The outfit was esquisit as yen throwing out his sadness tucked away the letter as his shoulder length hair amid his black cloak gave him a slightly diffrent look. Save his single yellow eye and eyepatch. The fact the induvidual took the long way around. Perhaps to fluant his look. Yet yen did dig the cowboy hat as it brought a smile to his face that did not smile for weeks. As the induvidual was heading towards his direction since a great deal of the village scorned him. Despite the loss some perhaps softend a bit as he requested time to feel what he called. "Bonding with thoes whom passed these halls before him"
This was merely a touch of interest as yen revealed himself as he walked up towards the induvidual. Sadness loomed in his eye, yet intrigue. Keeping quiet he simply spoke low to not disturb others.
"Say... thats a nice hat you got there"
Yen would state to the man as by this time yen was walking now beside the man at a speed of 1. All this occuring way before the induvidual would attempt his sly attempt to try to sneak by these interesting induviduals known as anbu and the long hallway where no natural shinobi would simply walk in and go down.
"So where did you get it if i may ask?"
Yen asked casually as he kept pace. Although malice would be suspected if this induvidual would start moving at an god awful fast speed in the village kage headquarters. A place of buisness. Not foolish actions.
(So lets timeline you before you head down the hallway.... and continue from there. *wags finger*)

Yo, Yensung-sensei! Before we begin, let me say that I appreciate the opportunity to resolve this the easy way first XD Anywho, below are a few of the quirks I found within your response that I will be using to void the interaction:- Point A:

In this case, I say that Allegro avoids the front entrance by taking the long way around and entering the building from a back or side entrance, hence the title of the thread. You go on to say that Yen is waiting in the reception area of the same building. Most reception areas I’ve ever been to have been located near the front of the building. Therefore, I am arguing that the two characters never cross paths in the first place.
- Point B:
Upon entering this private thread of mine, you refer to my character multiple times as a “strange individual” despite the fact that I used the transformation technique to assume Kinzoku’s likeness, a ninja whom you should be aquatinted with through This topic, which I’m sure is significant to your char’s CD. The fact that Yen did not recognize him to be a fellow jounin makes it seem as if he knew it was a disguise. All in all, its a bit metagamey to me
The old man Yensung approached the shady figure with the cowboy hat and followed him while he was flaunting his gaudy clothes. After being pestered by questions, the man removed his hat to reveal that he was some other npc jounin who happens to wear a cowboy hat, and not Allegro. Go figure. The man recognized Yensung and began to shout and make a scene.
"Ahh! Y-y-you're that guy! Aburame, Yensung! You killed your fellow comrade during the fight with the Mist ninja! G-Get away from me you.....YOU MONSTER!!!"
Meanwhile, while Yensung harassed young men in the common area downstairs drawing attention to the lower floor and away from the upper floor, Allegro carries out his aforementioned actions without interruption and exits.

(Nah lets have some fun. Besides mod not needed atm lol)
Yen remained quiet as the young fellow removed his hat. Now surely out of all of the jouninn he knew there was one which he noted to have more grace then that. Something about ignoring the old man whom stood guard. Old man shin yan. A jouninn as old as can be. Nearing retirement as yen would've simply ignored the man, and waved a hand at him to signified he heard him. The others wouldve glared in yens direction. Yet then they say silence is a stronger knife then yelling. So old man shin wouldve continued to be ignored by yen at this rate.
With the induvidual ignoring the customnary front desk it wouldve been rude so yen approached the induvidual and stopped a few feet from him and bowed with a little respect. The fact that the old man was pestering questions only made it that more unusual.
As the man was ignored yen would whisper.
"Yeah its best to wait in line behind the rest of us. Ill need to talk with the kage too perhaps. But on to brighter subjects. Hm... you look familiar. How about a little eye contact?"
Yen would state as he noted the poor old man tuckered himself out and went to catch his breath. Sometimes old news is the new news to the elder induviduals. Yet he was sort of so shooken from the losses he would not recongnize the induvidual being similar to that one man from the dark day of the invasion. The gaurds by the doors and sorrounding the area would by many odds even if there was a comotion stay at post. Duty above some old fellow huffing and puffing at a man that speaks as much as himself regardless yen would continue and ask a question to the induvidual.
"Also what store did you find that hat? I... need a new one... i buried my own hat with my now dead son, and his sister... and my wife.... the little ones hardly made 2... bury the past with them, but i cannot."
It was the first time he opend up about the loss at hand and it finally dawned on him that they were gone. A gut wrenching pain as his shoulders shook a bit. His strength was painful as he cried a bit. Some solace in the midst of a bleak moments of life. He needed a freind in a time like this.
Why must i have lost my dearest freind at the same time? The fates are truely a terrible curse to have against ourselves.
(Note that yen is beside himself with greif so itll be a bit hard for him to recongnize someone he was not truely close to. Lol)

Re: Using the Back Door

Flipping through the stack of papers on her desk, she double checked to make sure everything was signed off with her signature. Deeming the task complete, she plopped the stack of paper off to the side of her desk and leaned back in her chair. At the moment, she was relaxed, and her chakra showed as such. Although, obviously Risako would be sitting in her chair within the office. Pulling her attention away from the desk her grey eyes rolled up to the ceiling, where she began to daydream and crave various frozen delicacies. At this point in her career, she found it hard to relax. Her ears were finely tuned machines that couldn't help but pick up the slightest of sounds. To her, this could mean life or death. Hearing the wind snag on someone's clothing, the quiet swishing of a sharpened blade hurtling through the air, one needed ears that could hear such sounds without much effort if one wanted to survive.
Thus when she heard rapid footsteps followed by the clunk of a door closing, she grew rather curious. Standing from her chair, she sprinted for the door to her office. To her left would be the lobby with the plump assistant, (note: not the receptionist in the main lobby.) and to her right was the door to the documents room. Seeing as it was the only other door in the vicinity, Risako decided to check it out. Grabbing the handle, the woman attempted to push the door open with no success. Panicking, her hands formed the seals necessary to summon two of her foxes atop her shoulders. Seeing as they weren't telepathic, she had to voice her command about the sudden necessity for natural energy. "Chakra, now!"
The frightened little animal began to funnel whatever amount of chakras it could gather into the woman. The other snapped to his orders, but in a calm manner. Empowered by the energy, her body entered Sage Mode. By now, she was certainly detectable. She proceeded to slam her fist through the wall behind the door, before grabbing it and bringing the whole door down past her body, sidestepping to avoid the slab of wood. By the time this action was over, which would be done within five seconds of her hearing the door being closed, Risako would most likely be facing whatever intruder was in the room. If he attempted to leave, she would give chase. You may be asking, who in their right mind would rip a door off its hinges rather than break out the keys to a door that was already locked? Being a "Punch first, ask questions later," kind of person, this wasn't too unbelievable.
[I can list techniques/summons used and AP if you wish. As is customary, all actions happen at max speed/strength.]

@Yensung I have taken your reply to mean that you are accepting my void and continuing the timeline by carrying on your conversation with the NPC. I hope that’s okay.- Reason 1:

I’m going to motion to void your post as well, actually. Here's why:
Reason 1: Risako’s ears are so finely tuned that she can hear the wisps of Allegro’s clothes in the air through the solid confines of her office room, but not the concerning scream of a shinobi located just a floor below her? Unless she was deliberately ignoring it…I am basically claiming that this is, at the very least, unreasonable.
Reason 2: More importantly, in regards to your timelining, I am claiming that it is too late to interrupt my initial post according to our site rules. So I’d like to consider my character, Allegro, excused from this thread by the end of this post.

(While correct in claiming a void. Notice risako acted off of my timelining in which involves the attempt to talk with our cowboy geninn. your move to have old man shout was cleaver, but note that out of everything meantioned a comotion would catch our kage's attention especially if anbu are positioned in various areas. Naturally this would not go as well. But i give you props.)
Yens natural instinct was that the old man had been grumbling to himself as he went back to his post. Now risako had come bursting out her office and hence headed towards the location of that odd cowboy man heading up the stairs. Deciding it was unwise to even display showmanship of jutsu and the likes yen still feeling alone headed out the kage office and walked till he sat down in a booth. The lady came to his booth and handed him a small bowl of soup which he glumly slurped for the remainder of the day.
(Exit)

["Meanwhile, while Yensung harassed young men in the common area downstairs drawing attention to the lower floor and away from the upper floor, Allegro carries out his aforementioned actions without interruption and exits."
Your exit can still be interrupted. This sentence here implies that sometime during your actions in the first post, Yensung started a scene. "Allegro carries out his aforementioned actions," meaning he still has to do the action. You didn't specify which actions in particular, so I assumed and cut in at the moment where Allegro attempts to speed blitz the door, implying that Yen's actions begin shortly after my post. Keep in mind, my actions take place within 5 seconds of Allegro closing the door. By that, I'd like to argue that the receptionist wouldn't have enough time to get up and out of her desk and in the way of the door that's flying at 100 speed.
As Khai mentioned in the chat, sounds have to be very specific to cancel eachother out. Allegro has 60 chakra so he's detectable without the need to focus. Although I failed to mention that in my post, as I didn't notice it until now.
Reason 1: She's probably under the impression that there's ANBU in the building. If there's something going on downstairs, they can handle it. There's a more immediate threat in the documents room.]
The coding fucked up, I'm on me phone.

Ok, I've read this thread about 3 times now.
So here's how the actions seem to boil down to.
-Allegro transforms himself and breaks into the document room.
-Yen shows up in the front of the building which doesn't directly affect Allegro until this line in Allegro's next post "Meanwhile, while Yensung harassed young men in the common area downstairs drawing attention to the lower floor and away from the upper floor, Allegro carries out his aforementioned actions without interruption and exits."
By including this line in his post, Allegro confirms that Yen's actions happen alongside his, which would then mean that the "aforementioned actions" did not happen in round one and they tried to be continued in round two. This however was interrupted by Ris, who legally invaded the thread and vagued the point in which Allegro was starting at in the second post because it was not specified.
All in all this means that Allegro has to edit his post and pick up where Ris left off in the timeline. Yen's most recent post after Allegros is considered void until Allegro edits.
If you disagree with this ruling, feel free to call for a second opinion.
