Learning the mist

Been able to attack, been able to block, been able to dodge.... these were all well and good but they are also fairly simple, if not overly simple, means to conduct a fight. In the shinobi world, deception is king, there is no honor in death for a ninja. We are silent, we are invisible, we are there and then gone as a faceless person and when we die only those we work for will truly know our name but even they may not know the extent of our deeds. Such is the way of been a shinobi, such is the way of Shinoskays world.

So, he needed to improve his means of stealth, his means of surprise, he needed to become better at everything around the punch... everything leading up to the dodge... and everything after the dodge. He needed to have such a perfect set up that the dodge, the punch, or even the block just simple does not exist... such a perfect set up that there is only his deception and nothing else. The young boy would need to learn to not just control, not just master, but to fully own the environment around him so that there wasnt even an opponent... so that there was only shinoskay and his success.

Clones were a good way to do this, he had already begun practicing with the art... utilizing the basic clone jutsu and then disguising them so that it was difficult to determine which one was shinoskay and which was the clone to allow for the deception to redirect the flow of attack and combat. If the enemy aimed for the wrong target then the attack would be completely inconsequential and there would never need to be a dodge or a block.

As a contingency, he had trained a little in the way of taijutsu and ninja tools so that if he is ever attacked directly, either through a failure of his deception or just sheer luck on the part of whoever would target him, he could have another means to defend himself. Expanding on the clone jutsu would be the shadow clone, though so far that was too advanced for him, and then there is the haze clone that makes multiple clones capable in acting with more range of activity then the standard clone, and then finally there was the illusion of clones that once set would stick with an opponent and allow the boy to continue on with whatever he was doing while the foe would be left to either become overwhelmed by the idea that there was so many clones or they would have to find out is was an illusion entirely.

Genjutsu was a little foreign to him as he had so far yet only worked on learning physical jutsu, and earthly jutsu, so the idea was a little hard to even imagine for him but he figured if he worked on expanding on the concept of transformation and clone jutsu then he should be able to achieve his goal. Transformation jutsu required constant concentration to form some kind of appearance through coating ones body with chakra while the clone jutsu involved creating a form seperate from yourself that also matched you in many ways. So a way to branch from this would be to take his form and instead to push it out towards the mind, to almost push the form into someone elses mind so that they see the form. With Rock cane, he had a vague idea of directing chakra with intent so that it would move forward, moulded, and interact with the outside world autonomous of him to act as he had directed it to... With this concept he had the theory of directing chakra and that too was an important aspect of genjutsu, of deception, because if he had to constantly concentrate on it to direct it then what good would the jutsu be to allowing him to use it as a distraction for him to flee or continue on past an opponent.

Shinoskay took a moment to meditate on these theories and concepts, actually sitting cross legged on the ground with his hands on his knees. He wore a cloth over his eyes in an attempt to block out visual distractions so that he can better visualize the concepts he was considering. Been that his point of reference was all fairly physical jutsu concepts he knew he would need to concentrate hard on the idea he wanted to learn, to expand his mind into fully understanding.

Taking a fruit off a tree, Suzume inspected it to see if it was good to eat. Nothing on the surface at least seemed off, so she took a chunk in her mouth and savored the juicy sweetness. Surprisingly it was more delicious than what is typically found in store. She'd do well to make sure to remember the tree she go it from, in case she wanted another someday. Once with that done, she continued to walk somewhere. Where, exactly, didn't matter. It only mattered that she went somewhere, rather than being tucked away in the cave that she called "home". 

The fruit's juices would get all over her fingers. Suzume licked it up as she came across Shinoskay, sitting with a rag dangled over his face. She paused a moment, wondering what on earth he was doing. "What a freak," she scoffed to herself before taking a step around him.

Lost in his thought, it only vaguely came to him that there was food steps off in the distance, his subconcious picking up on the presence as his body reached and desperately tried to decipher all the stimulis of the enviroment without the aid of sight. He himself was still contemplating the thoery and application of genjutsu as this occured and so while his body was fast at working analyzisng the foot steps, he himself was still blissfully unaware.

The foot steps began to move closer, still he was unaware and his subconcious still analyzed. Who was this that made approach, the mind decipher plausibility as well as commonality. this was the forest and there were many creatures out here but this sounded bipedal with higher motor functions then a monkey and so nearly every single animal it possibly could be was instantly ruled out. The sound was soft, to an extent, as well and so they had to be small... or light on their feet.

Eventually, a new sensation accompanied the individuals approach... smell... there was something sweet smelling as the person approach. This acctually drew Shinoskay's thoughts out of his brainstorming and theory musing. There was something strange about the effects of smell upon the brain, funny how that idea occurs as one is contemplating Genjutsu, this didnt escape the boys notice either as his musing briefly notated the interesting idea as it slipped from the concepts of genjutsu onto actually awknowledging a person had arrived in the area.

The sweet smell drew his thoughts to a short distance behind himself, off to the side, and the already developing understanding that his subconcious mind had been working on. Light on there feet, bipedal, sweet smell... likely an inexperienced genin had come into the area, maybe female, young, or just small. They didnt make a whole lot of noi- 'What a freak', part way through his thoughts on them... likely as he was starting to direct his ears in there direction, they spoke out and revealed they were female... familiar even.

At the insult, Shinoskay quickly grabbed the cloth from his eyes and awkwardly tried to stumble up to his feet "eh, what? n-!... why?"

Eventually he would get his bearings up and coordinate himself into a standing position to face feza, "um, sorry, this is unexpected. I was out here training, please excuse my behavior."
