By this point in the afternoon, the clouds from early had rolled on and presented the village with a clear view once again. Most of the village was quiet, except for the large bustle taking place in the arena. The battlefield of the arena was a circle roughly one hundred meters in diameter. The walls that separated the contestants from the spectators were roughly thirty meters high. To protect them from any stray jutsu or weapons, thick glass was implemented along the top of the wall along with several barriers erected by fuinjutsu. The glass and barriers stood another twenty meters over the walls themselves. The seating did not go above this. The arena itself was flat, with patches of grass growing here and there but no major cover to hide behind. The contestants themselves were housed within a waiting room on either side of the arena across form one another. By this point in the day, the crowd had recognized who they were surrounding and began to strike up casual conversations when they could. Miko was listening over her earpiece for the ready signal from the ANBU who were helping. The secretary tapped her boss on the shoulder before letting her know that the contestants were ready. Clutching the microphone that was attached to the collar of her shirt, the Hokage began to announce that the second of the fights was set to begin. Her voice echoed throughout the area via speakers.
"Chō Aburame and Avalon Pendragon, you may begin when you are ready."

Today was finally the day.
The male sat at the stares of his entrance staring up into the arena entrance where he would set out to test and prove himself. Since coming to this village, Avalon has spent his time in his forge and making ties with the few people that he had met in his out times. This was by no means a normal occurrence for him to partake in things of this nature, but with a chance to test his skills he was no longer concerned about glory. As he waited he ran a hand along the pouches on his right leg that contained his Kunai and Shuriken respectively. The foreign feel of a shinobi's traditional weaponry was...different than the weapons he had once had the pleasure of crafting in his home in Suna. None the less he would use these to either obtain victory or put on a show.
Fastening the Katana he had purchased the night prior, The crimson haired male ascended the stairs pushing back the cloak that had concealed his undershirt. As he finally reached the top the words of the Hokage herself filled the arena and his eyes turned toward her, the crowd and finally his opponent. Before they arrived however he would kneel, unsheathing the Katana and pointing the tip of the blade at the ground before he recited something softly," May the Ancestors of the my clan watch over this fight and guide my blade true," after finishing he stood up, sword sheathed once more as he looked onward toward his opponent and waited. It was never intended for him to attack his opponent before they made their own introductions, but in the even they had attacked first he would make the necessary reactions to assure he was not taken by surprise.

The Aburame observed her handsome opponent closely since he made an appearance in the arena while she kept her arms tucked in her burqa. Her amused face was hidden behind her garments at the sight of the cloaked knight taking a knee before her. Though she could not make out what he was whispering to himself, Cho spoke out and said, "How chivalrous of you to bow before me. Let me get a closer look at you." Her tone was playful and enticing, and the sleeves of her garment were clasped together as she walked forward toward her opponent at 1 speed making her look like some kind of demonic nun. If uninterrupted, she would walk until she was 10 meters from where Avalon stood, and only 5 meters from the center of the entire arena. As she walked, her skin began to turn black on both her arms, and mouth/neck area. These were all the areas that were completely covered by her clothing. From the outside looking in, there would be no hint or indication that she had already begun spinning her web.
Her eyes rarely left that sword of his. Defeating this time warped samurai would be as simple as taking his sword away from him. Cho wondered what kind of skills he had, and if he was any good. Judging from the fact she had never heard of him, Cho found a brief comfort in the thought of progressing to the next round. "Well don't you look like a snack? Where did they find you?"

Avalon spent only a few moments looking at his opponent who had been clad in some form of...silk wear, covering most if not the full majority of her body. This made it difficult to pinpoint any facial features or movements of her limbs, but this wouldn't deter him of making any moves. No. Instead he stood straight and took a small, but deep breath as he focused on the fight which was about to begin. Instead of running toward her and using his sword he would instead stand in his spot for only a moment until she began walking forward. He was trained never to let an opponent get the first move on him or to allow them to get in a position where they had the upper hand. So instead he decided to wait until she was 15 meters from him to begin. Pressing his hands together to form a single tiger seal, the area around the male would begin to fall into a misty plane. The area for up to 50 meters at the speed of 85 began to turn into a white habitat of mist obscuring not only her sight but the sight of many in the stands.
What would have normally been a semi-transparent mist in which even sunlight could penetrate would now be dark enough that the light itself would no longer be welcomed. With the females sight now blighted by this mist, Avalon began his movements. Moving directly to her right at the speed of 25 providing she was still moving during and after the mist formation, his hands would slide down and then up removing the strap of the holsters located on his legs and then removing two kunai and shuriken in one sweet motion. Sliding two of each into his hands, the male took the opportunity to throw all four, the two Kunai first followed by the two shuriken last. The two Kunai would be thrown to meet with the females right leg and arm at the speed of 58 and would continue their path for a full 29 meters. The two shuriken since the male had still been moving would have been thrown toward the back of the females left calf and the right calf respectively ending any movements of his opponent should they connect with their target.
Given the mists density and there being no light, the Kunai unless picked up by some form of heightened sensory or something of that nature should have struck their opponent, but in the end he would slide his hand against his sheath and watch the plan unfold. Avalon however would keep a good distance of 10 meters from her. Knowing he himself would no longer have the advantage of sight to keep track of his opponent he would now rely on the other few senses he had at his disposal even if they were minuscule at best. Only time would tell whether the fruits of his attack worked or not..

Re: Cho vs Avalon

The female assassin was on guard when she reacted to the Pendragon's formation of a jutsu that she had seen before: The Hidden Mist jutsu. It would seem the male did not care for conversation, and that she had spoken a bit too hastily when she called him chivalrous. He was attempting to steal the first hit. By the time the area around Avalon began forming an opaque white color, Cho had already began to dash at full speed to circle around her opponent in a clockwise fashion. The mist was described to have started in the area around the caster before making its way out towards the rest of the arena. That would mean Avalon's vision was first to be obscured; Cho would be sure to take advantage of that moment in time. Avalon would make his move when Cho's vision was fully obscured. However, Cho would be on the move before her vision was obscured yet. Simultaneously while she ran, before the Mist was fully cast, Cho commanded 3 black moths to fly out of her sleeve and fly directly to where Cho last saw her opponent standing. Approaching from Avalon's backside, the moths fluttered silently in a scattered formation through the mist and one would eventually find and latch onto the pendragon's backside without him noticing.
Once Cho was completely blinded by the now evenly spread haze, she fell dead silent and trained her ears to hear even the slightest noise. Cho knows that her opponent uses a blade, so she intently listened out for the sound of metal whistling through the air. If the Pendragon followed through with his actions, he would throw his weaponry where Cho once stood and miss completely. Even if he had decided to change the course of his weapons, Cho would have heard the sound of the kunai and shuriken whistling through the air and keep running to make sure she was not hit. Avalon had no way of predicting where Cho would be if he redirected his throw thanks to the dense mist around him. He was a victim of his own ninjutsu. Meanwhile, when the first moth landed gently on the pendragon's back, the other two fluttered upward and outward to begin searching for the boundaries of the mist so they could report it back to their queen. By the time she received word from the first moth that she had successfully locked onto her target, Cho had already brought herself to a new distance of 17 meters between her and Avalon. She had also brought fourth 30 more moths to flutter around her as she came to a sudden halt, assuming the signature Aburame pose as she did so. Many of them flapped silently around her while others rested gently on blades of grass in the vicinity. They were arranged in a way that Avalon would not be able to step within 10 meters of her without a moth seeing it and communicating it back to their queen at their reaction time. This would give the kunoichi plenty of additional time to react even in this impressive mist. The black pigment in her skin began to wriggle about as if Cho had worms crawling under her very skin. It was a gross sight to behold indeed. This would explain why Cho would rather cover herself up while performing her hidden jutsu. Her insects were quickly maturing, but yet they needed to feed. She mentally quieted her restless soldiers and smiled as two moths landed on her finger with the grace of butterflies. Her minions were telling her something. It was the same two moths she had sent to discover the boundaries of the Mist. She responded to them silently
'50 meters each way, is it? Got it. Locate the females with their pheromones, my children. We must make quick work of him while this mist is shrouding us.'
The kunoichi's long braid of hair swayed as she relaxed her nerves and closed her eyes. They were useless at the moment anyway. Now it would be up to her trust in her insects to shine through. The rigorous training sessions with the strongest the Aburame clan has to offer would finally be demonstrated here today. She would listen carefully for the sound of clothing or metal moving through the air to determine her net command. She would tell 10 moths to fly into Avalon's direction and attack. While she focused of breeding more of her children, the 10 moths would bite Avalon repeatedly, drawing blood from his body. Since the mist was so thick, it would be difficult to defend against the small winged creatures without the ability to sense their presence. The moths would use their strength to lift the genin in the air as they feasted on his blood. This would be the signal of invitation for more of the moths to join in.

The male had never taken his eyes off of the female even after forming the seal of the jutsu. When she had thought that she could move in a quick reaction to the mist, both he and her would soon find themselves buffeted by the the mists presence. Since the mist itself covered an area faster than what the female moved, the area of 15 meters that she had occupied at the moment prior to her moving would have already been covered, leaving her blind to where the male had once been. Given that by the time the male had actually moved, her attempt to stick him with whatever she had been planning would coincidentally fail in the same notion. With the male himself still on the move, he listened for her movements tracking her as best he could. The throwing of his Kunai and Shuriken would still continue without fail, using the sounds of her footsteps to guide where he would throw them. Instead of now aiming to where he was, he would make an attempt to aim for where he had thought she was going to be next.
With him knowing she had been moving clockwise before the mist engulfed them both he would aim in that direction but only a meter or two to the right. Given the how fast he had seen her go the metallic objects would either hit on the mark or just about miss. So with an intuitive throw he made his gamble, throwing the aforementioned number of both objects on her left and her right. The two Kunai would instead be thrown to hit just above her right calf this time, aiming to halt her movements while the other two were aimed for what he would assume would be her chest and arm. Even with the missing of the four objects should it happen he would use their falling positions as small guides to figure out where she would have been next, although with him still hearing her move he followed silently as he made sure he was still in a feasible position.
Once she had stopped moving however, the male pulled out another Kunai and two shuriken before pointing them in the direction of where he last heard her footsteps. Judging the distance would indeed be hard yet seeing as no audible movements had been made yet by her he would deduce that she was still in the same position. At that moment he would wind up and let the two objects fly, aiming one for her assumed position and one to the left and right. In the event that she moved even though the chance of her hearing them whisk toward her was minimum at best, her choice of movement would be minuscule at best. For now he would continue assessing the situation with what senses he still had.

Re: Cho vs Avalon

Though Cho underestimated the speed of the blinding mist cast by the strange knight, She still ran immediately upon seeing the ninja cast the hand seal for the jutsu. Her foot steps clapped against the hard arena floor as she ran, occupying most of the sonic space on the battle field. It was only interrupted by the sound of Avalon's footsteps towards where Cho once stood at 25 speed and the sound of metal whistling through the air. 'One....Two.' The kunoichi picked up on these key sounds and counted silently in her head for the number of weapons thrown as they made a thudding sound in the ground. She had not seen any large pouches on the boy's person to carry a large supply of weapons. The Aburame moved at top speed in a zig zag formation in the instant that she heard the weapons whistling through the air. This would negate her opponents ability to predict her trajectory. Though, in this blinding mist, it would not have been possible to predict that anyway. 'Three....Four....' she continued counting as two more shuriken made a "THUNK!" sound against the ground. These ones had almost hit her...tch. He's good. With each step she took, she cleared several meters distance, and released her moths from the pores of her skin along the way. Some of them stayed behind as she dashed on ahead, but the majority of moths swarmed around her up until the point where she came to a halt 17 meters away.
One of her moths whispered in her ear that it had failed to bind to its prey due to this unforgiving mist. Two more whispered the dimensions of the same plaguing mist. Cho was quick to collect this information and integrate it into her strategy as she fought. Information gathering was one of the many specialties the Aburame were blessed with, and what made her almost overconfident in her ability to be recognized as chuunin. So when Avalon threw a kunai and two more shuriken, Cho did not even have to rely on her ears anymore. The insects that she had left behind saw the weapons fly past them, and relayed the information back to the insect closest to their queen to inform her of the exact details on its trajectory. This happened in enough time to allow Cho to lean left and then right in just enough time to cleanly avoid all that was thrown in her direction. 'Five, Six....Seven.' His aim was off anyway, which told Cho that he was indeed shooting his shot in the dark. She could appreciate a man that was willing to do that for a woman. However, even she would smile as she realized her opponent was on the defensive thanks to his own jutsu. Simultaneously as the shuriken flew through the air, Cho had commanded 20 moths that she had left in the space between her and Avalon to fan out and approach his general direction. Cho could pinpoint Avalon's location in the same way he tracked her in order to throw the shuriken: footsteps. The difference is, Cho's "projectiles" were living beings and could adjust their trajectory at the speed of their reaction time. The moths would fan out to span 10 meters and sweep the arena while heading straight for Avalon at 80 speed. Some flew high while others flew low, but all of them fluttered silently through the mist like tiny agents of death. At least two moths would find the boy first after coming into close enough range, even in the thick mist, and relay the information to the others. Avalon would eventually find himself flanked by all 20 of the moths. Each moth would bite down, through his clothing and attempt restrain his movement while lifting him into the air as they continued to flap their wings to resist the movements of their prey. Avalon would have to overpower each insect with strength greater than 50.
Once Cho knew the exact location of her opponent, which was the instant even one of her minions found their prey, she lifted her arms outward as her remaining moths swarmed around her in a fluttering frenzy. They lifted her into the air and granted her flight. The moths would condense to give the illusion that Cho herself had a majestic pair of black butterfly wings, riddled with intricate design, though a closer inspection would reveal that the moths were systematically latching onto the kunoichi's backside. The moths carried her 10 meters into the air and 10 meters away from where Avalon should be suspended in the air being drained of blood. 'Thats right my minions, do not rest until he's as dry as the deserts of the Wind Country! Reinforcements are on the way; they have just spawned. If we continue to fight like this, he won't be able to hear our movements in the mist. Yes, yes. Now's definitely the time......I'll rip his head off, hehehe <3'
Simultaneously as Cho commanded her moths to attack, seven moths would return to Cho, each carrying a kunai or a shuriken. The kunoichi would gladly pocket the ninja tools the Pendragon so callously threw in the haze as she took to the sky without making a sound that would be detectable by the Pendragon's ears. And so she did, with all the weapons in her pouch except for one kunai, which she held with a forward grip. She pointed the tip of the kunai directly to where she sensed him to be deep within the mist. Her moths would flap their wings in unison to propel her at 80 speed towards Avalon. The entire time, Cho would keep her kunai extended on a direct collision course with Avalon's right breastplate. The force of the stab would have blood dripping profusely from where the metal pierced his skin. In that moment when the two ninja were in close range, Cho would simultaneously use the other hand to steal Avalon's sword from him.

Drip....
Drip....
The mist was begining to clear up. The small gusts of wind created by Cho's giant black butterfly wings on her backside swept the mist away as she took a relieving deep breathe. Her moths were rabidly fluttering about. They were localized around the limp body of the Pendragon. Avalon's skin was dry and intensely wrinkled, and his health reduced to 10. The only thing that allowed him to remain suspended in the air was the strength of the moths that were biting repeatedly into his flesh on every inch of flesh, even through the holes created in his clothing.
Drip...
Drip....
That, and the knife that skewered Avalon in his chest was being held firmly by Cho who was using all her strength to lift her catch of the day into the air for the entire arena to behold. The blood from the wound in his shoulder would drip on the arena ground below in unison to each slowly passing second of time. She would only remove the knife from Avalon's chest and allow him to fall to the ground after her second hand grabbed the Pendragon's katana from his perch on his hip.
The knight would fall to the ground, a husk of his former self, and stripped of the very thing that made him who he was. Even though Cho had not delivered a fatal blow, stealing a samurai's sword from him was equivalent to an emotional kill shot. Cho licked the blood that had splattered on her face from the stab as her insects returned to the pores in her skin under the veil of her clothing. Eventually, only the moths that acted as her wings would be left on the battlefield.
