The Black Market Booms! MN in Kumo

Mission:

Cho was all geared up for today's mission. She had traded in her usual flashy clothing and jewelry with more combat ready gear. Her holsters and weapons pouch were secured discretely, allowing her to maintain her slim fitted look. Her well defined abdomen glistened under the hot Konoha sun as she stepped out of the doors of the mission assignment office. She was waiting for the captain to arrive so that the mission could begin. She looked around for signs of a man following her or keeping a safe distance away from her. A cowboy, to be specific. She assumed that Kinzoku Nazaar would be the leader in this Mission since he had recently been assigned to make sure Cho does not try any more funny business. The Hokage had placed extra care to have the kunoichi carefully observed. She rubbed the back of her neck, reminiscing on her very first exchange with the Leader of this village. How shameful.

Nevertheless, Cho was being allowed to continue on with her missions despite her probationary status as a genin. With her confusing mix of emotions, Cho would just remain to herself, visibly bothered by internal conflict, and make sure the mission was brought to completion. 

350/2000 WC

Cho was some what surprised when allegro showed up, seemingly out of nowhere. She could already tell by the way he was standing at the ready, that he was assigned to the same mission she was. Cho was partially expecting Allegro to be quiet as a mouse, as per usual. However, she was surprised to hear the Uzumaki give a small speech regarding the mission. Soon, everything became clear, including the details of this mission. "Of course I'm ready, why wouldn't I be??" the kunoichi said defensively in response to Allegro's concern regarding her punishment for killing Avalon. While she thought about the knight that she had slain, Allegro removed a map from his holster and pointed out the location of a warehouse on the north side of Konoha. She tried to form a theory as to why the three men from the cloud village would have reason to take interest in Konoha at the same time that the chuunin exams are being hosted. If they planned on interfering with the exams, Cho and Allegro would have to move fast and report back to the Hokage with haste so they can act accordingly. Cho folowed suit when she saw that Allegro began to proceed. She would match his pace perfectly, whether it be walking or running.

"Roger. Hey....I'm sure you've heard by now you've heard that Kinzoku has been ordered to watch me because of what happened. What kind of man is he, anyway? He must be strong if he's you're sensei." Cho spoke solemnly, reflecting on her own sensei, Yensung. She was holding a piece of paper that had been folded in a way that even an insect would have been able to transport it across the village. The letter was addressed to her from Yensung himself, instructing her to meet with him later tonight. There were some very strange instructions, such as bringing her Hiruichi in a glass jar. The girl was rather skeptical about the whole thing, but she had learned early as a child to put faith in Yensung, at least until it was time to take her rightful place as Clan Head. What was the short old man up to, anyway.... Cho would only be distracted for a moment while the two genin made their way to their destination. She tucked the note in her pocket, and continued to say, "I think I'm in trouble, Allegro. I'm not sure what to do. I feel like a prisoner without chains.....or like a beautiful butterfly trapped in a jar." There was sadness in her eyes at first, but Cho would eventually develop a serious demeanor. As if she had come to some kind of resolve. 

799/2000

Cho had peaked Allegro's interest with her mention of Kinzoku sensei. He had not heard that Kinzoku had been tasked to look after Cho to make sure she did not run from her punishment or worse yet, kill again. Allegro chose to remain silent and listen on, and allow more information to come to him. He also noticed that the villagers in town had caught wind of the incident. Apparently the Pendragon name was once well known in the Fire Country. He wish he could have witnessed the fight himself. He recalled his fight with Cho deep in the forest and already understood vaguely what powers Cho held and the killing potential it had. When the kunoichi fell silent and stared off into the distance for a moment, Allegro used the opening to respond. "Kinzoku Nazaar is one of the men I respect most in this village. You and I are friends, so he will look after you. I'm sure of it. This may even mean we'll get to do a lot more training togeth- " Cho would interrupt Allegro's last sentence with a more serious statement. Allegro matched her mood as the two genin continued to run. They would reach their destination soon, so Allegro slowed down so that they were running next to one another. The Uzumaki would lock eyes with the Aburame's, assessing her mood and the intentions that may come from it.

"...Does this have anything to do with that new tattoo on your neck?" 

Allegro spoke plainly, his expression blank, but his eyes piercing through Cho's with unrivaled sharpness. He would observe her response carefully and see how much she knew about the mark on her body. There were only a few people who were capable of mastering fuinjutsu in the Leaf village, and Allegro also guessed that Cho had to report to the Hokage immediately after what happened. 

Soon the ninja would find themselves on top of a roof adjacent to a large sized warehouse that looked somewhat abandoned. Allegro would give the signal to halt in place and he would crouch out of the line of sight. He would nod towards Cho, giving her the green light to scout the area. Allegro already knew that the Aburame were professionals when it came to scouting and gathering intelligence. He was actually quite jealous. Nonetheless, he would peep through the warehouse windows and gather what he could from this distance. There weren’t many chakra signatures around, none that were noteworthy enough for Allegro to pick up on with his sensory. He noticed that most of the buildings in the area were made from stone and concrete, and all of the surrounding walking area was mostly dirt path and patchy grass areas. He looked for any signs of an escape route just in case the targets made it that far. There were no vehicles  that raised concern.

“Anything, Cho?"

It was clear to Allegro that Cho would prefer not to discuss the mark on her neck, so he dropped it. He knew the kunoichi would come to him when she was ready. That aside, there was a mission to attend to. Cho put her feelings aside and fulfilled her duty by releasing her moths to survey the area. After a brief wait, one of the moths returned to her with news of what was going on inside. As expected, the three men from the Lightning country were there conspiring against shinobi villages. Allegro had gathered enough intel to move in for the arrest, however, he almost wished to learn more about this intricate plot. No stranger to trade and business himself, Allegro was eager to sharpen his own business sense. He could find something to learn, even from the villains that plot against his village. For now, however, they would stick to the plan.

"Phase Two, it is. Provide distraction and give me an opening to capture them"

And with that, Allegro sunk into the stony rooftop below his feet. Once he was fully merged with the earth, he would travel underground directly under their target. It was there he would wait for Cho's signal. While the Aburame distracted the enemy, Allegro would rise from the earth unexpectedly between the three men, holding up the seal of confrontation. A fuinjutsu array would unravel itself simultaneously as Allegro rose from the earth. When he was standing at full height, towering over the crooks, he would say,

"The show is over, and you men have been singing nothing but sour notes since your arrival in this village. I would have word with you all before reporting you to the Hokage."

Should the men make any attempt to escape, they would find resistance the barrier that kept all the men within 2 meters from the tall, dark genin. Should they make attempt to attack him, they would find an even worse fate still. 

Jutsu Used:

"Roger that." Cho responded after listening to the instructions given to her before she scattered from the rooftop at the same time as Allegro. Instead of sinking into the floor, however, Cho would jump and land silently on top of the warehouse containing illegally obtained ninja tools. As she did so, she would bring both arms and extend them out to each side. This would command her beautiful moths to break through the glass in a flurry and swarm around the three men from Kumogakure. The sound of broken glass mixed with the flapping of her insects wings would take the men completely by surprise while her partner moved to restrain them from below. The moths would swarm around them like a black maelstrom. Should any of them manage to make a break for it, they would only meet the paintful bite of her beloved moth minions. With such a flashy entrance, the men would not notice Allegro rising from the ground below them, especially since they had no ninja training from the looks of it. 

Once the deed was done and the men were trapped within the confines of Allegro's barrier, Cho would descend from her perch on the warehouse roof and maneuver herself through the now broken windows and land cleanly on the warehouse floor. She gingerly walked through the shattered glass pieces and drew closer to Allegro and the captured men. She observed them each closely as she approached, and was ready to cast a jutsu in the event that any of them managed to espace. She would stop outside of the confines of Allegro's barrier and rest one hand on her hip as Allegro spoke.

"The show is over, and you men have been singing nothing but sour notes since your arrival in this village. I would have word with you all before reporting you to the Hokage."

"And please do yourselves a favor gentlemen, and come quietly. Unless you'd rather become food for my precious minions, hehe <3"

Cho would extend a single finger and wait patiently for one of the moths to land gracefully upon it. She gave the moth small piece of parchment paper to deliver to the Hokage. The moth would recieve the note, and then flutter away. Once it made its way out of the warehouse, it flew over yonder in the direction of the Hokage's building in the center of Konoha. Cho would then redirect her attention to the smugglers and Allegro, who stood in between them.

"Now then. My friend here has some questions for you. If you don't want things to get messy, I suggest you answer them to the best of your ability."

1737/2000

Naturally, the men were startled at the sudden outburst made by the swarm of moths. Fumbling in place, the men were not sure which direction to run in, since there was a storm of moths in every direction. Any who strayed too far would feel the stinging bite of Cho's insects. Not that they would be able to anyway. Allegro now stood tall, towering over the questionable men with an intricate fuinjutsu array under their feet. He casually walked bast the men so that he was now standing outside of the confines of his own barrier. He would turn to face them once he was standing at Cho's side. After lowering the music in his headphones, he would return both arms into a folded position before he began with the interrogation. As each answer came, he would relay them telepathically to Kinzoku sensei, the man he and Cho were to report to after the assignment was completed. He didn't bother wasting time with introductions, or by asking questions he already knew the answer to. Nope, that just was not the Uzumaki's nature. He was blunt, and incredibly straight to the point. Plus, he didn't have to worry about having to play the "bad cop" in this scenario either. He believed Cho had already filled that role far too well for him to compete.

"Who has suppled you with all of these ninja tools?"

The men would stare at each other and laugh hysterically, as if the boy had made some kind of joke. One of them leaned back with his hand over his bulging stomach, as if to prevent it from spilling over. Another hunched forward while grabbing his knees while gasping for air. Allegro would simply clear his throat and exchange glances with Cho. Even without his telepathy seal placed on Cho, he was confident the message was clear. Once his question was answered, he would ask the next one with a smile.

"and the names and descriptions of the Rogue ninja you planned to hire?"

The genin was particularly interested in the answer to this question, especially because of his recent interaction with a group of bandits all capable of using ninjutsu. Could they be the ones involved in this plot much deeper than the scope of a D rank mission? As he listened carefully through his headphones and watched the men's body language, Allegro reflected to himself. He relived fighting alongside Cho, Akane, and Yensung Aburame against a black hared woman with the power to bring forth more clones than he had ever seen made before. He would never forget the small girl's short black hair or the patch she wore covering her right eye. Of course, Allegro also knew there was a chance that the missing ninja the men would disclose could be entirely different. He would just have to listen and find out for himself. This time, surely, the gentlemen would be more likely to comply, lest the wrath of Cho be unleashed upon them once more. Allegro did not mind one bit. This was his final mission for the day, and so he was more than happy to wait until the Aburame used her imagination to "convince" the men to loosen their tongues.

Finally, the mouths would part to form words. The Uzumaki's face would remain expressionless, even if the news should surprise him. He would relay what he had heard telepathically to Kinzoku. He would turn around on his heals so that the men could not see his mouth moving. He waited there for a while and scratched his chin with his fingers. Things were falling into place, piece by piece but there was one part of the story that he still needed more information on. The Uzumaki found one last question that he thought fit to ask the group of men before calling for the Konoha Police force to carry the men away into custody. He tilted his head to the side and asked,

"Last question. What makes you so sure this would have been enough to take out a major village?"

Once this last question was answered, he would hold up his opened right hand. This was the signal for the Konoha police force to move in and take the three men from Kumogakure into handcuffs. The ninja tools were properly taken care of and soon, all that was left was for He and Cho to report back.

Claims:

Cho remained quiet with her hands folded as the questioning began. She would chuckle when the criminals tried making a run for it only to find that the barier Allegro had created kept all three of them securely within its confines within it. When the first question finally emerged, Cho observed the way the suspects acted and immediately got angry. The vein on her forehead pulsated as she grabbed her right bicep with her left hand, as if to say that she was about to beat them to a pulp. The right arm turn black in color as her black moth larva crawled from her pores. With each step closer to the criminals, their laughter ceased. When they saw her arm which was clearly what she would be using to clobber them all, they would clear their throats and answer right away.

"Erm...Well we had an agreement with the local Ninja Shop owner. We forged a letter from the Hokage asking for supplies in the name of peace with the Cloud village."

One of them slowly removed a slip of paper from his suit jacket pocket and extended it to Cho. She swiped it from him and quickly skimmed over it. When she was done, she gave a brief not to Allegro as a signal for him to continue. Her partner's next question would also peak Cho's interest, since she had also recently encountered hostile rogue ninja alongside Allegro on their last mission. This time, a different man step forward to answer. He must have been the one in charge of gathering the military power to overthrow a major village.


"Military Acquisition was our next step. We've heard of Alice Nara's movements in the Fire Country. Rumor has it she has some influence among rogue ninja across the land. We've also heard of Two Uchiha who have recently entered out home village, seeking refuge. We figure that when prompted with golden opportunity, they will sway to purpose. With proper compensation, of course"

Cho was watching Koaru to gauge his expression. They both knew that the Nara were once noble elites of the Leaf village, turned exile for reasons that remain a mystery to this day. Moreover, after hearing the man's explanation, both shinobi recognized the name to be a match with the kunoichi they fought against once before. Cho knew this would make for pleasant news for the Hokage. She thought they were done, but then Allegro asked one last question. There was a look of surprise on her face, as she herself would have never thought to ask this question. She was impressed with Allegro's interrogation skills and waited to hear their reply. They all shared a glance with eachother, before the third man finally gave a reply on their behalf.

"That's simple, really. Theres been a shift in power. The new village leader, the Raikage, is still wet behind the ears. They're shinobi force is so scattered, the Raikage has even opened up the idea of taking in refugees to defend the village in his stead. It's sickening, really...to let foreigners train on our soil and learn our village jutsu! EVEN NOW THAT YOU'VE STOPPED US, IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE TIDES TURN!  HAWWHAWWKEEKEESHEESHEEEEE"

Cho was not sure if he could trust what these men were saying. The last idiot to speak was spewing off on an enraged tangent that the kunoichi did not much care for. She would turn around with Allegro an exit as the Konoha Police Force rushed in from every door and window in the warehouse and handled the rest from there.

Tasked with keeping a watchful eye over the Aburame by the Hokage, Kinzoku had been following Cho for the day. Although he had been doing it from out of sight, he knew that Cho was likely aware of his presence, somewhere. He had done good to make sure he did not make himself known by remaining hidden behind people, shops, alleys as well as hiding his chakra signature. He knew she was assigned to a mission that had to do with finding and interrogating three people who arrived from the cloud village. So he did not want to get in her way. This was going to be a perfect opportunity for him to observe her. How she acted, her demeanor in everyday life, how she cooperated with others. Up until now he hasn't had the chance to observe her without being within her presence constantly. There was no way of knowing if she changed the way she acted when he was around or not. He also wanted to get a feel for her relationship with Allegro, his student.

He had read up on the mission report earlier today and had seen who she was assigned to work with. None other than Allegro Uzumaki. This would also provide the Nazar with an opportunity to see how far his own student had come. After all he was assigned the secondary leader to Team 7 when Kinzoku wasn't around. So when the two Genin, both apart of prestigous clans of Konoha, met up to start the mission Kinzoku was close behind. Out of sight but within ear shot to hear what they were saying. Although with his natural abilities, what was earshot for him was well out of range for the two Genin. So it allowed him to keep a healthy distance from the two without being notice. 

He listened in to their conversations, Allegro providing a nice cover as to why Kinzoku wouldn't be making it. As a result he would be taking the reigns of the mission, as expected. It lead to an intriguing question from the Aburame, one Kinzoku could fully understand. She asked about him and what kind of man was he. It was only fair of someone to want to know who the man watching over them was. There were only a handful of people at best who knew Kinzoku fairly well, and his students were the majority of those people. Kinzoku was quite humbled to find out he was the man Allegro respected most, but he supposed being the Uzumaki's sensei definitely helped. He was however right in saying that Kinzoku would look after her. It's what he was tasked with doing. It also came natural to him due to his upbringing as a Nazar. But what really caught Kinzoku's attention was the fact Allegro noticed the seal on the back of her neck. Kinzoku couldn't help but grin. Of course, the fuinjutsu specialist would spot high level fuinjutsu on the girls neck. Impressive. 

As the day progressed the two came upon the location of the three Kumo citizens. Before brief examination, they made their move and Allegro silently moved in from the ground and Cho distracted them with her moths. Almost as though the two had been working together for years, in seconds they had the three apprehended and were questioning them. Allegro began the interrogation, Cho acting as the "muscle" to help loosen their tongues. It worked exceptionally. What surprised Kinzoku was Allegro relaying the information to him as the Kumo citizen's spoke. In all honesty Kinzoku didn't need him to do so for he had moved in close enough to hear everything. But the simple fact Allegro was aware that Kinzoku was likely around was one that impressed the Nazar.

A lot of information came from the mission. They were essentially selling weapons to hire rogue ninja, one by the name of Alice Nara. Kinzoku heard of the Nara clan, originating from right here in Konoha. The name was one he would have to keep an eye out for in the future, along with these two Uchiha fellows. The next information really grabbed the Nazar's attention. The fact the Raikage was letting foreigners defend the village in "his stead". What could that mean? That the Raikage, the one who took down Kinzoku's home in Suna, was no longer around? Were these foreigners he referred to those who assimilated from Suna to Kumo? Did that mean Nobunaga as well? So many questions running through the Nazar's mind with no answers. Things could get tricky in the near future.

Delighted with the outcome of the mission and the performance of both Allegro and Cho, Kinzoku left with his head held high and his hat resting nicely on his head and he made his way to the Hokage's office. Knowing the two Genin were headed there, he decided to meet them there as the Konoha Police began making their way into the premise.
