Re: Ryu's invasion

A lot of things happened, but very few in an effective way.
Ryus barrier became visible to Komon's byakugan as it appeared, and so too did Naoki's attack, thanks to his byakugan. The explosion that resulted as the two collided was magnificent to watch. It's bright orange fire contrasting the white blanket of snow in a beautiful fury. To the naked eye, it would have tricked most men into thinking Ryu had died. But Komon's byakugan was one of the few that could perceive past it, he saw not just masses of chakra, but their signatures as well.
And Ryu had vanished, at least Momentarily
He'd reappear a moment later, a mere 3 meters in front of Komon, in what the boy assumed to be an attempt to gain ground. (Basing this off the fact that you never specified where you'd reappear with vanish, which leaves it open for vague imo) The second he saw the boy appear he'd move forward as lightning surrounded his body and his knife, he was now living lightning.
Moving at a speed of 180 he'd begin to close the gap between him and Ryu Reinhard and would create a horizontal slash at ryus throat with a sharpness of 227 and a speed of 180 (((180+50)/4 = 57) 57 + 100 = 157 + 70 from conduct activated at same time as living lightning = 227) when within range. Of course any of these actions were subject to change should ryu react.

Byakugan -1 AP
Living Lightning -50 AP
Conduct (Grappling Knives) -50 AP

[I am reasonably certain that Ryu missed his window to edit, which leaves Komon's post unchanged and Kenshin 40ish hours overdue.]
As Na'ood was charging the intruder in the corridor, his target turned around and pointing a finger at him proclaimed he was not here to fight. Na'ood would not stop for such a weak attempt to persuade him, for if this man truly intended no harm, he would have submitted completely and shown that he is not a threat. As it stood, he was showing no signs of this, but actually the opposite - sending two clones to infiltrate the summit and then preparing a jutsu at one of the guards. Weak attempt indeed. And so Na'ood maintained his speed and course until his sharingan detected the chakra surge in his target, signalling a jutsu being released. The wood clone would continue its approach and the attack would hit his right leg just as he got into arm's reach. However, knowing full well that he was about to take the hit, the clone would focus earth elemental chakra to significantly harden its form just prior to impact. Changes from this ability would remain unseen for they would be well hidden under his clothing and not span above his waist unless needed; nor would they draw attention to the clone beyond the hall as its chakra remained artificially minimized. So just as the chakra blast smashed into his leg, unable to even penetrate the Fabric, much less do him any harm, so would at the same time the kunai held in the clone's right hand sink into the man's throat and the other wrap around his feet. If that were the end of the intruder before him, Na'ood would dispel the earth enhancement and gather the weapons to his right hand.
It appears at that time it was Wooki's turn to have an uneventful moment. With his target incapacitated and slumped in the clone's arms, Wooki's ever-watchful gaze remained on the other guard, while part of his attention was bound to the exchange taking place at the summit, just a few meters under his feet.
And now we come to Naoki himself, who elected to stay back and observe as his sunfly reached its target and exploded. His eye would catch the chakra barrier forming just as the explosion was enveloping the intruder, but after that it was far too much chakra-flare for him to make out the details. So for a moment, as the smoke cleared and no chakra signature was visible, it seemed that the barrier might have failed the man and that his form was destroyed. But that would immediately be proven wrong as the very same man suddenly appeared 3 meters in front of the guard from the Cloud and about 7 meters from Naoki himself. The man from the Cloud suddenly began surging lightning so the Herald of the Mist figured to stay back and see what happens for now.

The blow would land.
Cold steel would spill warm blood.
And a crimson red river would stain the wintry landscape that rested beneath them.
Ryu's head would land at Komon's feet, dismembered from the body it had previously been attached to.
With his byakugan still active the hyuuga would lift his mask slightly, not enough to reveal his face but small enough to allow easier access to the oxygen around him. His breath visible in the chilling weather. Looking up to the ground he'd reflect on what he'd just been a part of, his byakugan had watched the kirigakure shinobi's jutsu explode against the assumed Suna nins barrier. And now he saw that same jutsu resting underneath the hoshigakure ninja and himself.
He chose not to address it, it was probably out of caution.
Instead he'd call out to the both of them.
"Not that I don't appreciate the help, but I could have handled this myself"
The words would be spoken with obvious exhaustion, after all, he had just run a quarter mile in the falling snow. Even for someone raised in the mountain tops of Kumogakure, it had taken a lot out of him. He'd pick up Ryu's head, intending to take it back to the summit.
With head in hand, those around him would be able to note the calmness he held in the situation that radiated as if he had been through this all before. This wasn't Komons first beheading, and he doubted it would be his last.

Kenshin felt a pang of disappointment as he watched the head of the fool be separated from the rest of his body by the knife of the Kumo delegations second bodyguard. He had suspected the babbling fool to be weak based on the inane rambling that both he and his clone had done, something he knew about due to his second Shadow Clone having dispelled itself when the masked figure of Kirigakure had disabled the one on the roof. But truly, for the man to have dubbed himself ‘Ryu of the Scorched Sand’ to fall so quickly… it left him feeling more than a little empty.
He had hoped to have at least been provided enough entertainment to quell his murderous rage, but this entire diversion seemed too have been nothing more than a waste of time for both himself and the other bodyguards. The teen in the golden mask would watch as the figure shrouded in lightning and shadow approached exhaled lightly, the rather unique looking knife in his hand still crackling with electricity just as his body was. His mastery over the element was more than a little impressive to Kenshin, as the half-blood Uzumaki had not mastered any of his own elements to the same extent as the seemingly faceless figure.
“Not that I don't appreciate the help, but I could have handled this myself.” the obviously male voice would say, his exhaustion clear as day as he knelt down and grabbed the severed head of the former Sunagakure Shinobi. It seemed that his overall stamina left much to be desired… but he supposed that perhaps the Kumogakure shinobi just wasn’t used to such a cold climate. He also took note of the fact that the living lightningrod only seemed to be interested in the head of his fallen foe, which left the rest of his corpse unclaimed.
“It is better to have back-up and not need it, than need it and not have it.” Kenshin would say simply, his mask still altering the pitch of his voice as he spoke, raising it just enough to ensure that those who had heard his normal voice would be unable to recognise it. It still retained it’s natural smooth quality, but the tone in which the words were spoken was also rather soft, changing it even further.
“If the head is all you desire, may I take possession of the corpse?” Kenshin would ask the hooded figure from Kumogakure, cutting past any small-talk and getting straight to the point. He had a sneaking suspicion that this Ryu Reinhart may have some rather interesting DNA, at least if the moniker that he had chosen was anything to go by. After-all, Ryu of the Scorched Sand was a rather specific name, especially when one considered that Sunagakure had been host to at least one very well known figure in the past that had possessed Scorch Release.

Na'ood's kunai sank into the intruder and suddenly the man's vision went bright blue. The clone in front of him dispersed, covering the hall with remains of its chakra in the form of white smoke. This effect lasted a single instant as the smoke immediately disappeared. Still with weapons in his right hand the wood clone would silently exchange intel with the original and the one on the roof while staying motionless and gazing at the clone of Hogokage's guard.
Wooki observed as the other clone of the masked guard dispelled and then dropped the incapacitated body he was holding to fall on the rooftop. This one wasn't going anywhere today and there was no way to prevent it from dispelling, so Wooki may as well return to the summit and observe what was happening there, rather than stay here pointlessly on the roof. 'Tis what he did - sliding down from the roof and darting through one of the entrances, through the halls and towards the entrance to the summit chamber.
And Naoki was reevaluating his life choices. None of this was worth getting his ass frozen solid out here. The former leader observed as the intruder got beheaded in a sudden onslaught of the Kumo ninja. Naturally, he noted the blade use and the advanced Raiton manipulation exhibited by the slayer. And there was not much else to note as the fight took mere seconds. Naoki did not say a word in response to the Cloud ninja's remark and moved to be three meters from the corpse when the other guard expressed interest in it. The herald of the mist did not say anything, only stood there and observed. Only one thing caught his attention - it was a warm looking red sort of limp cone shaped hat that the intruder had on him. It seemed like something that could make him less miserable in this white landscape, but Naoki restrained himself with thoughts of the tropical Island village, back as it was when he stepped into the path of carnage.

As the wind whistled, komon looked again at the corpse lying in the snow, white flakes already piling ontop of the quickly chilling body. He'd known Ryu Reinhard had to die the moment he mentioned Kyson, but in the brief moment's he'd known the boy he'd displayed traits that Komon had found admirable. An undying loyalty to a village that was anything but, and an ignorant courage.
It was a shame, to watch the process of the earth erasing him.
"May I take posession of the corpse?"
Komon's head would turn to face the man who had asked it. The man carried scrolls, which in Komon's experience meant sealing and summoning. Good, a sealing specialist would be perfect for carrying the boy.
Komon would throw the head to the man. "All yours pal. I'm heading back to the summit" As he began walking he'd reach into his pockets and pull out a lighter and a cigarette, he'd take his mask off to smoke it, not that the hoshigakure or kiri nin would be able to see his face, as shrouded was still doing its job.
He'd return to the summit with a coat of blood.

A small smirk would form upon kenshin’s scarred face at the way that the figure shrouded in both lightning and shadow answered his question. The tossed head was grabbed by its scraggly golden locks once it reached arms distance of the man in the golden mask.
“All yours pal. I'm heading back to the summit” the hooded figure would then say, turning away from both Kenshin and the Masked figure of Kirigakure. The head of the Nova Corps would turn to face the corpse, which was staining the pristine snow beneath it a rather vivid shade of crimson. It was a rather beautiful sight to the psychopath, but even that was not enough to quell the rage that burned deep within his heart(s).
As he approached the corpse he would toss the head of the fallen Sunagkure shinobi roughly 1 meter into the air, and as he did so he would form the Rat hand seal, which he would then follow up with the dog. With the seals complete his right hand would shoot out and recapture the head before it could hit the ground, all the while his left stayed just in front of him, where a roughly cylindrical shaped item was slowly forming from particles.
When his Corpse Storage Scroll had finally formed Kenshin would have reached the corpse, and said scroll would be grasped in his left hand while the severed head of the fool was held by the hair in his right. He would place the head upon the chest of the corpse, before unrolling the scroll and pulling the corpse on top. A small burst of chakra was all that was needed for the corpse and head to be sealed away, and with that done he would waste no time in rolling up the scroll and slipping it into a pocket within the inner lining of his cloak.
With that Kenshin would follow after the shinobi of Kumogakure, heading back towards the summit.
His sole clone however, was paying rather close attention to the sounds it could hear emanating from the room…
