Patrol the Walls!
[D Rank]
Kiro slowly opened his eyes and noticed that a new day had finally begun. He blinked once in the attempt of clearing his sight and looked around himself from his sleeping position. The shadowy figure was gone for a day more, making it more clear to him that he was performing good actions and that it was more than enough to satisfy the soul that was lost in his bedroom which he deduced to be his older sister and the prodigy that no one wanted to see flying past them to the afterlife. The boy stepped outside of his bed and stood on his feet, stretching his muscles sideways, and looked to his right to fight his conveniently close drawer. He walked across the room in the direction of the drawer to grab his former outfit that he once wore during the one day of the academy and that he was going to continue wearing until the last shred of cloth was ripped off of it. He was very proud of having such an attire, knowing that others from his clan wished to get something similar to his because their parents wouldn’t allow them to wear something similar to him and decided to stick with a more traditional one which resembled the founders of their clan that stood tall years and years ago, but were nowhere to be seen nowadays. He didn’t mind not having an actual clan leader, because it would avoid useless fighters that would lead to the death of the Uchihas found in battle against each other. The child inspectionated his looks on a mirror of his, nodding his head in approval; he ought to be look good to make his parents proud, but attire was not what made shinobi what they are but their skill is what does. It was what he believed during his whole life and was something he understood from observing his sister and the armor she took with her in her official missions. She didn’t like to use very expensive armor because she knew it would benefit her as much as average armor and that it wasn’t worth it, deciding to go with a more basic attire. She started to change her looks as she grew up, however, and turned into a very beautiful yet strong kunoichi that had the potential of leading their whole clan.
He shook his head for a moment in the attempt of waving off the train of thoughts that led him to his older sister who wasn’t someone that he would want to think about in this exact moment. The boy knew he would end up releasing a waterfall of trees if he continued to think about her and how her death could have been avoided if his family insisted in taking more personnel with them. That fact would have changed his history in two ways; the first one being that his sister would survive the battle, and the latter being that the rogue shinobi that murdered her whole team would instead receive the favor. The boy shrugged in disappointment on himself and his parents, but there was nothing they could do in a scenario where they were sending someone in a recognition mission to furthermore plan an assault. It was surely an important mission that would require more than a few shinobi because there could be many threats that wouldn't allow the scouts to find their objective and to gather information about them. Kiro stopped admiring himself in the mirror and turned to face his door, noticing that someone opened it when he was not looking. “When did this happen?” He thought to himself, scanning his bedroom and trying to seek for whatever was the cause of the entrance of his bedroom to be unlocked. The boy remembered locking the door before going to sleep, but perhaps it was the exhaustion that made him think that he did and that he unfortunately left it open. He rushed outside of the room and quickly walked downstairs, starting to look for his parents in confusion.
He found them in the living room, as always, drinking coffee and reading the newspapers. They waved to him in a gentle and friendly manner, telling him to come closer and to take a seat. The boy nodded his head and walked closer to the desk, sitting down next to his mother. “Mom, I’ve noticed that someone opened my door. Was it you?” He questioned his mother in a curious tone of voice, tilting his head to a side and observing her continue to sip coffee. The silence and the sound of the coffee crashing into the cup made the situation even weirder, creating even more confusion and the thought that these would be his fake parents and most likely someone using the transformation technique to fool him. The female shook his and smiled, bowing her head, “Yes, it was me. I wanted to wash your clothes up, and I didn’t want you to notice. I guess you really have became a shinobi,” she said in a happy tone of voice, releasing a giggle at the end of her comment. She closed the distance between them and proceeded to press his face against her chest in the attempt of hugging him. The female felt quite scared at first because she thought that her child was going to actually attack her and most likely injure her because she did such thing, but he decided to listen to her and believed her. It did seem weird how his parents would act like this here and then but it all made sense when he looked at it in an adult's perception; they liked to test him and see how well he was doing and if he was actually improving in the academy. He had now graduated from it because his level of strength and knowledge of the Ninjutsu art was seemingly enough with just a single day in. Their parents felt like it was an actual waste of money but let it slide now that their resources weren’t even close to limited. His mother and father would never think about giving him ryo to buy new equipment or anything of that matter, so he knew he had to start taking missions from the mission board like any other Genin and to gain the money required for weapons and reputation from his quests.
The boy bowed his head to his parents and looked back in the direction of their exit and, at the same moment, entrance. There were many adventures awaiting him outside and he hoped that he would be able to meet other people during his missions as well as earn experience that would guide him in this world where only the strong are the ones that survive and get the change to continue their lives. He wanted to change the rules of this world and to substitute them with his own beliefs; he wanted to make this world a place where everyone can live in peace and a where there wouldn’t exist a word like war. He nodded his head once and walked to the wooden door that he pushed wide open from left to right. The boy looked back to his house for a moment and jumped to the to if a building shortly after to locate the mission board from an elevated height which would make it easier to find certain spots in the village. It was a trick that he learned from playing around in the Uchiha district with his childhood friends that he hadn’t about since. Their parents were very strict and wouldn’t allow them to anything that they didn’t order them to, practically enslaving their children for their own good. He couldn’t understand why people like them even existed in a world like this and knew that he would have to change their attitude to let them fit in his dream world. Kiro looked around himself in a bent over position on the rooftop oh a nearby building, finding the mission board with ease! He was told that important quests or missions would be received by the Hokage or put in the board by his orders.
He rose to his feet, calculating the distance it would take him and the risks of falling to the ground and getting injured. The probabilities were quite low but he knew they weren’t worth the risk. For the sake for saving time and to earn money, the boy gathered momentum on his legs and charged forward till the edge of the building he was standing on and jumped to the one nearby, performing the same process over and over until he reached the mission board. The distance it took him to get there was shortened by a decent amount and that was surely something he appreciated a lot. He jumped down to the floor and glanced around himself in the attempt of finding anyone around. The area seemed to be rather empty, most likely because everyone had already picked up their missions and left the village in order to successfully complete them and come back to the village to pay a low amount of money to the village and keeping the rest to himself. The fee was quite low from what he initially expected Konohagakure to be asking it’s ninjas to deliver for their hard work, considering the low amount of crimes that the village internally has. He locked his eyes on the mission board and slowly approached it, holding a happy and joyful smile on his face. The boy saw multiple requests explaining what his task would be in the mission itself and how high the rank of it was. He remembered what the older man that seemed to be quite weird told him about, stating that he should go and patrol the village gates, and sure enough there was a mission requesting rookies to come by to learn the basics about patrolling and protecting the village from external issues, for example, rogue ninjas. He proceeded to sign up in the sheet of paper and picking it up, sliding it inside of his pocket. The child jumped up to the tallest building around him, repeating the same process as before to get faster to the village’s gates so he would not waste a single second more? There could be someone else who wanted to pick the mission before him or something of that matter. Truth to be told, he didn’t know how missions exactly worked and decided to hurry up instead if asking. He realized he could do that later, when he would still have a lot of time remaining.
The blue-haired and eyed Uchiha arrived to the gigantic gates, introducing himself to the higher-ups guarding the gates. He was explained the task he would have to perform and the pay he would receive in addition of scouting experience. He nodded his head, handing over the sheet of paper he had previously gathered and waited for the higher-ups to check it out and give him their approval so they could begin working and to make a report for the Hokage. The adults nodded their head and signed the paper back, smirking while petting his head. “A rookie, eh? Welcome to the team, boy. Let’s start working,” one of them said and turned around, walking to the outside of the village gates where no one could go without the permission of the Kage that governed the village and protected it with all all of their might as well as extensive arsenal of powerful jutsus and techniques. The boy spoke with three other members of the scout team and told them to guide him around the walls of the Village now that there could be other threats roaming around and waiting for them to come by to defeat them, like what happened to her older sister. They agreed to his offer, bowing their head and swearing their lives to him; they were going to protect the rookie, no matter what. He returned the boy in a friendly manner, revealing a gentle smile that would shine on his face. He looked to his right and started to walk around the walls of the village, glancing around himself to find any threats. He knew that in these cases, the byakugan would be a useful asset to use to find someone hiding in the bushes and waiting for the right moment to a strike and to destroy the town. They had a tram protecting the vil?age, but just them would not be enough to stop any threats of doing what they wanted to do.
He continued to patiently walk by the walls in the attempt of finding someone useful to use in his report that he was going to officially hand over to the Hokage, but there just didn’t seem to be anything worth mentioning yet. The boy sighed in disbelief, having reached the end of the right side of the wall, and turned around to take to left side of the wall in which he would have pass by the gates once again; they would be able to see how they were doing and note his effort and the strategies he was using to hand over to the Hokage, even though numbers could not tell how good a person was and what his skill using Ninjutsû was unless they had someone to compare him with. He nodded his head once and approached the left side of the wall, meeting up with the other shinobi that were protecting the gates previously and informing them with what was going on; there was no one on the right side of the wall, and they had just yet to check the left side. The child walked and walked yet he couldn’t find anything either; it seemed that the peaceful behavior that covered Konohagakure was not only in the inside, avoiding multiple times of crimes, but also in the outside now that the rogue shinobi feared to appear and to take the wrath of the Will of Fire.
