A Flame's First Light - Page 2 Empty Re: A Flame's First Light

Thu May 23, 2019 12:39 pm
The other man would speak amidst light coughs, his coherence apparently having returned to him as The Ragdoll drained the wild energy from him. He would confirm the victors thoughts when he mentioned the energy within him becoming unbearable and him being unable to fight its influence. Kenshin would spare him solely for the opportunity to study him further, somebody that unconsciously absorbed an extremely abundant and powerful form of chakra that most didn’t even know about, all the while ignoring the regular limitations of said chakra by drawing it in even as he moved. The loss of control that he experienced meant very little to The Immortal, mostly because he suspected that if the man actually learned how to properly harness the raging energy within he would no longer lose control of his base instincts in the same way that he obviously was now. He knew that there was nothing the chestnut haired berserker could do to stop him should he move to simply abduct him and cut him open to discover what special secrets his body held… but such actions would be counterproductive. Based on his words the man would likely jump at the opportunity to put an end to these rampages for good, and if what he suspected was true indeed worked then Kenshin held the key to control.

Using the natural energy that he had siphoned from the raging brute Kenshin would activate his Sage Mode, thick black bands forming around his eyes with five points protruding out beneath his eyes, and only one above. His eyes themselves had also turned a rather vivid shade of yellow, but the left still retained the tomoe of the sharingan and both retained the eerie glow of their initial forms. The extra potency granted by the natural energy resulted in his already monstrous chakra completely overpowering the suppression granted by his ring, allowing both his little protege and the disabled man to feel the overwhelming energy. But out of the two only the man would be able to feel the familiar energy intermingling with his own, and even that was only due to his own familiarity with the energy… even if he couldn’t control it properly he would be able to feel it within the man that had so swiftly dismantled him. The silver haired sage would deactivate his Added Weight Rock technique and remove his hand from the throat of the man before rising back up to his full height. As The Ragdoll towered over his prey he would simply gaze down at his still partially buried form, a look of contemplation in his eyes as he smirked

“You can feel it within me can’t you? The energy that I am using to enhance myself. This is the same power that I just drained from you… the same energy that caused you to lose all control over your natural impulses. I can teach you how to control it if you wish… how to properly harness and use it to become more powerful than you ever dreamed of… and all the while remain in complete control.” He would say with a small smirk on his scarred face, his amber eyes seemingly staring into the souls of the downed beast as he offered the man his hand.

A hand would be extended to him both figuratively and literally… but only The Berserker could decide whether he would take it or not

A Flame's First Light - Page 2 Empty Re: A Flame's First Light

The light of the moon caught his eyes for a moment as he looked up at the one who had easily trampled over him despite his overly powerful form. For this monster to easily sap and absorb the power that had been plaguing him for years? Something was wrong with this picture though as he looked up to him the changes were farm from visible. It suddenly dawned on him that this was not a normal man that he had been dealing with. His success might have been marginal if they were....but this was truly a monster he had been dealing with, a monster more deadlier than him and with more understanding of the power he had than himself. There wasn't fear in the eyes of this male...it was more like the look of defiance and reverence. Someone who understood this power and used it in more ways than he could. Because of this as the man gave him a choice...no a reason to stay here.

His eyes met the odd glowing of the man as he spoke only a few words," And what do I have to do in return for this?," the words flowed effortlessly as the mere chance to gain control over his life slowly began to fill the void that was left in his chest.

A Flame's First Light - Page 2 Empty Re: A Flame's First Light

Kenshin would meet the gaze of the chestnut haired man without a trace of fear, his hand simply waiting for the man to take it even as the man asked what the price for this help was. The Ragdoll was quite pleased that he was at least smart enough to realize that absolutely nothing in this accursed world came for free… but he could see the desperation in the other man's eyes. The silver haired man knew that he had all the power in this situation, and he knew that regardless of the price the stranger was likely to accept his offer… for he was offering this poor soul the key to freedom, the key to cage the madness that he had been trying so desperately to flee from.

“There is only one thing that I want in return for what I offer… and that is your loyalty.” The silver haired Uzumaki would say simply, and this words were nothing but truthful. While he knew that he had quite a few useful pieces… he doubted that any of them were truly loyal to him or his goals, not that they had any true reason to be. Most of them had been gathered by him with promises of power and glory, and while he knew that such offers were more than enough to get them to follow him for a time he also knew that such offers would inspire no true loyalty. What he truly needed was people that would be willing to fight for his goals… men and women that were willing to die for him and his empire.

Now only one question remained… would The Berserker be willing to give his life to The Pale Emperor in exchange for true freedom?

Gennosuke stood from the crater still eying the albino looking for any trace of a lie or falsified existence that would prove that he was dreaming after all. He had only asked for his loyalty in exchange for helping him deal with the monster inside of him permanently. He wanted to smile at this revelation, a form of relief after years of persecution and retreat from life itself. He could finally be free...truly free. Nodding for a moment he would continue to look into the males eyes so he knew he wasn't lying," For freedom...My true freedom? I will gladly hand my life and freedom over to you. As long as you hold your end of the bargain I shall hold mine indefinitely until the end itself is upon us," to make his point clear he brought his left hand to his right palm, using one of his still elongated nails to cut the palm across the middle only slightly so enough blood would form. A blood pact that would ensure that this was sealed in blood.

The smile that came to Kenshin’s face upon hearing the words of The Berserker was quite genuine, although it was also a very dark one, as The Ragdoll could see all of the uses that a loyal follower with his rather unique abilities could possess. As he watched the man use one of his still elongated nails to slice his palm open Kenshin would resist the urge to frown, as it was rather clear that what he wanted was one of those blood oaths or whatever they were called. Very unsanitary, but he supposed that if this was the gesture that the man wanted on his part he should oblige, so he would reach into the weapon pouch he kept clipped to his ‘belt’ beneath his cloak and retrieve one of the many Kunai stored within. With said Kunai he would create a deep cut on his right palm, deep enough to slice into the threads within his hand to actually spill the blood that was pumped throughout his body by them. With that he would take the boys bloodied hand with his own, thereby sealing their deal with blood, and pull said man to his feet. With that done The Immortal would create a Shadow Clone and have it take over his guard, while the real one returned to the village with the still unnamed young man in tow.

A Flame's First Light - Page 2 Empty Re: A Flame's First Light

The oath had been made and the pact sealed as the male smiled and nodded his head in affirmation. To break something like this meant that he was never to be trusted in the first place, and while the young berserker couldn't ideally fight him right now? There will be a point in which he would soon be able to hold his own against the male...in time. For now though as he stood up he looked at the male who had said nothing after the exchange and walked behind him, grabbing the tattered cloak that his transformation had ripped and placed it back upon his body. The night held many secrets but on this day something new had been born from it and it was up to Gennosuke to see where his new path would take him. Dead on the battlefield or among the triumphant that would stand with Kenshin when the time came. Only the future would hold those secrets and he would be ready to see them all no matter what.

As they made their way toward the village he wanted to ask the male so many questions regarding his role in his plans or ambitions now that he swore loyalty to him, but they were stuffed back in the proverbial box of questions for later or questions that did not matter right now. What mattered right now was what could happen after he stepped foot into this village...with this man. Things have never gone right when it came to Gennosuke having a home, but with the added promise of learning to control the demon inside of him? Nothing else really mattered and after that he would be able to a myriad of things that he could never do normally. The only thought that came to mind was putting his mother to rest, even if he could not find her body among the burnt, rotting corpses the least he could do was put up a tombstone for her.

As he finally stepped into the threshold of Sunagakure he felt a sense of dread and achievement coming off of this place like a tangible odor. The achievement of claiming this place as ones own mixed with the dread of those that spent their final moments here. Both combined sent a small tingle of excitement down his spine, but not for himself. No this was a feeling the demon inside of him relished, wanting to create more of this feeling so it could drown itself in it. Of course Gennosuke wouldn't allow this to happen..not unless it was an enemy of course. Looking behind him he could still see the visage of the shadow clone standing guard like some sort of sentinel waiting for someone to come again. He was not quite sure where the matchstick girl went, but he was not really concerned about that. As she stood silent during the exchange between himself and Kenshin, he pondered on what her true reason was for being with the monster, but then again he wasn't going to simply ask idle questions.

The two were finally within the village limits as he followed the monster in front of him to wherever he was going to take him. A walk in silence was all Gennosuke needed to piece his mind together on the situation and once resolved, he was not going to change his mind. With the daunting thoughts of a new day looming over his back he only hoped that he had made the right choice.
