The Hokage Hates You, E-rank
Yoi, on a, sadly, sunny day looked at the mission board. After looking at a few, he noticed something. Was it just him, or did these missions start to look easier? Like he would have to put less work into them? Did someone make them around twice as easy? Well, Yoi was up for a challenge. The mission about cutting grass with scissors and a ruler was still there, and Yoi wanted to clean up this board. Yoi pulled the paper down from the board and looked through the details. There were a pair of scissors and a ruler next to the board and he was to cut all the grass in the training grounds to exactly 2 inches. Yoi didn't know what the Hokage was thinking, but there was a lot of grass in the training grounds.
Yoi picked up the scissors and rulers and walked off to the training grounds. The white-haired Yuki got down on his knees and started to measure the grass. Once he measured it to two inches, he cut the excess grass and moved onto the next blade of grass. Measure to two inches, cut. Measure to two inches, cut. Measure to two inches, cut. Measure to two inches, cut. After about two hours, Yoi stood up, stretching his neck and back. The white-haired Yuki took a look at what he had cut. He was making VERY slow progress. If only there was some way he could speed this up.
These scissors weren't that sharp, he could just use a kunai. Yoi pulled out his kunai and tested it against the grass. It went by much quicker. Also, it was annoying finding where two inches on the ruler was every time. Yoi proceeded to cut the ruler at the two inches mark and putting the rest of the ruler in his pocket.
Yoi got back to work with his new and improved tools. As he moved through the grass, this went by much quicker. He eventually decided to evolve his ideas even further. When he took a break, he headed back home and went to his father's workshop. Yoi grabbed a nail, a hammer a flat blade. Yoi then nailed the flat blade on top of the ruler. It stuck out horizontally. This way, he could just slide the ruler along the ground and the grass would cut. Yoi went back out to the field and got back to the hard work. However, it was quite easy this time. He just cut through the grass and it was all two inches and two inches only. Compared to what he thought what was going to be a hard job earlier, this was actually pretty easy once you decided to innovate. After about six more hours, Yoi was about halfway done. The sun was setting and the moon was rising. He decided to keep working through the night, that way he wouldn't have to worry about it any more. Yoi eventually finished the job and he stumbled back home, tired.
