The Next Generation (Yashakure)

Mission

97, 98, 99, 100! Drops of sweat were hitting the ground as Kazuma had finished his set of push-ups. 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and 10 kilometers of running, every single day! It would be the intense training routine the boy started following ever since he became a shinobi of the Mist. Eat, sleep, train repeat. Eat, sleep, train, repeat. The mindset of a warrior. Cause that's what he was aiming for, to become one of the strongest warriors of his village, no, not only of his village, of the entire world! A bit of sweat and the feeling of his muscles burning was a price he didn't mind paying to reach his goal. 

Halfway through his 10 kilometers of running he still had enough energy left to look around him. There weren't many people other than himself out on the streets and those that were ran away the moment they saw a shirtless Kazuma challenging them. It was almost as if they had never seen muscles before, it wasn't his fault everyone was intimidated by his physique. Regardless of his natural talent and amazing build he was still at the beginning of his adventure. Other than gaining some more muscles he still lacked experience and general knowledge. Oh well, he still had time to work on that in the future. For now he would just continue his run.

It wasn't that early anymore but also wasn't terribly late so now would be the best time to knock this mission out if it were going to get done today. Walking through the village Yashakure's destination would be the training grounds, she hadn't been asigned a specific genin to teach but by now all of the would've left the academy. Unless of course she could run into someone in need of training before then, in that case she'd just pull them aside out of the way of the civilians. As luck would have it Yasha was about to meet a young man who looked like he could use a good spar. Yasha would have the privilegde of seeing him intimidating random passerbyers, it reminded her a bit of herself in her youth though she only challenged those with training. The unusually pretty young man would continue on his run after the people fled, Yasha wondered if he was shirtless because he'd gotten over heated or to let others know he was indeed male. She couldn't see a shirt hanging anywhere on his person so it's possible that's how he always dressed or he could've simply lost it on his run. Nevertheless Yasha wanted to see if this person would be worth the trouble, so as their paths crossed she would free her blade holding on to the flat tip while using the hilt to trip the boy. If he got up and continued running she'd know he was far to dense to waste time on and leave him to the academy teachers, however, if he looked to see who/what caused him to fall she'd be looking down at him with a "yea I did it, so what?" look. Of course this is all suggesting that he were to fall, the male might be above her expectation and stop running before the collision or simply jump over the sword.

Kazuma was keeping up his pace high enough for his heart rate to remain steady throughout his run. Staying wary of his surroundings he was still looking for a possible encounter. So far he hadn't any luck as almost everyone would either be inside or ignoring him. But it looked like things were going to take a turn for the better as Kazuma was about to cross another individual. Before he was able to address this person his senses were alarmed by a certain object in his way. The acrobat in himself took over as he jumped over whatever it was and landed back on his feet while dabbing. 

When Kazuma turned to look who or what it was that might have been the cause he noticed a relatively tall woman with curves in all the right places. Being the dense person that he is he started talking to her, not knowing she probably did it on purpose. It would be the first woman he talked to besides his mother so he had to be sure to leave a good impression. "Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice your sword was hanging rather loose and how dangerous that might be. But rest assured, I was able to avoid it cause I'm awesome." Yep, sounds about right he thought to himself. 

Upon closer inspecting the young woman he noticed she was showing quite some skin. Not as much as he was of course, but that was just because it would be a shame hiding these muscles. Kazuma's eyes were scanning the woman in front of him and stopped around her chest. For some reason he started to get a nosebleed. Too dense to understand her underboob was causing this reaction he started wondering if he got hit after all. So this is what they call a mature woman, he thought to himself. "The name is Hashibira, Kazuma Hashibira. Who might you be and what brings you out here by yourself?" Nailed it again, he was better at talking to women than he originally thought.

Although the male surpassed her initial expectation Yasha wasn't about to applaud a fish for swimming, this was Kiri after all. Turning to look at the male who was now behind her she would see him doing a ridiculous pose before looking to find what it was he had jumped over. In their proximity she would see that he was nearly an entire foot taller than her, and he would begin speaking first. The first half of his speech sounded as if he was going to reprimand her or use it as some lame way to hit on her, unfortunately any cool points he thought he had gone out the window when he called himself awesome. What happened next... perhaps it was because he didn't notice her gender while running or maybe he was just a pervert and his thoughts got the best of him. Yasha made a face when his nose started bleeding, it wasn't one of disgust as blood didn't bother her but rather of annoyance because he couldn't retain his composure. After checking if he'd had actually sustained an injury the boy introduced himself, Hashibira huh? Yasha thought to herself, she was definitely gonna observe him more now. "I'm Yashakure Hashibira, wanna learn a cool jutsu?" She'd reply with emphases and a devious smile. She was banking on her name distracting him, but he seemed like someone that could be easily goaded with a certain trigger.

In this case training was obviously his prompt and seeing his ninja abilities would be the quickest way to see if they were related unless of course his line just didn't get the kekkei genkai for some reason. If he did accept her offer she would walk to a clearing off the main road, possibly answering any easily answered things on the way. There would be more than enough time to chat afterward and depending on how old her turned out to be they might do it over drinks.

The condition he was currently in, that of being shirtless, caused Kazuma not to have anything he could use to wipe away his blood. Not that he cared, he wouldn't be a warrior if he didn't bleed from time to time. As awesome as he might be, even Kazuma wasn't immortal. It made him realise he still had a long way to go. It was at that moment he ran into this young woman who for some reason was able to make his nose bleed even without touching him. He had heard about ninjutsu experts but not to such an extent of making other people bleed without doing anything. The young man had to make sure to investigate this further in the future.

Hashibira, Hashibira .. Where was it that he had heard that name before? Mere seconds after the young woman introduced herself he couldn't quite put his finger on it. "Ah! Hashibira! Like me! Hahaha, of course. I knew it sounded familiar." For the time being he didn't think too far about sharing the same name, nor did it really matter. What did matter was the question Yashakure posed next. He did ask why she was at the same place as he was, so maybe it had to do something with training. And Kazuma knew all too well how much he loved to train.

"Something cool eh? That does sound like me." He stopped talking just in time, if he had gone on for a couple of seconds he might have told her that his middle name was cool. Maybe it would have impressed her if it wasn't for the fact that he was the one who came up with it. But hey, with abs like that you have to be cool. "Anyway, what exactly is it you have in mind?" Kazuma would follow Yashakure, showing that he was interested in learning whatever she had planned.

The shirtless boy made no attempt to wipe his face which was gross but non-bothersome, a shinobi that couldn't stand the sight of blood has no business in that profession. Perhaps he couldn't do to things at once? He seemed to be lost in thought about what she'd said but at the time she'd merely said her name. What kind of special was this? Yashakure had never encountered anyone like this, could the boy have some kind of parasite that was effecting his mind? If so she only hoped that it wasn't contagious, luckily he responded before her expression changed. It would've been annoying if he got offended, and she had to actually go look for someone to teach. Walking away Yasha would wait until he had walked far enough away from the main road to show him what she had in mind rather than just telling him.

She'd need to explain it anyway so it didn't really matter if the egg came before the chicken. Raising one hand the kunoichi would turn to face him and form the ram seal, seemingly disappearing only to reappear behind the male slightly off center. "Just a simple technique to get you places faster." The woman would wait until he'd tracked her voice before turning to face him once more. "It's something that all shinobi should know and it's fairly easy to learn." She would add although she had a 50/50 feeling that he'd be talking over her, and she'd need to repeat that line. Regardless she would accept his excitement and exclamations and go into the details behind the jutsu, that is if he didn't manage to figure it out just from watching. If he could do that he'd be quite the interesting subject though she did expect at least one failed attempt. He seemed like the type to dive in head first so to avoid possibly being cutoff a second time Yasha would wait for any questions or attempts before giving the explanation.

Kazuma would follow the young woman when she suddenly stopped walking. The two of them had ended up quite the distance from the main road as there were even less people around where they were standing now. Not that it mattered to Kazuma, his eyes were shining as he was looking forward to learning something new. No more chasing people, no more challenging others who weren't up for the task. No, this was the real deal, finally someone to train with! Who was he kidding? Of course he would take this opportunity to impress her! For some reason it looked like she wasn't convinced of how awesome he was, but that was about to change!

Yashakure suddenly turned towards him as she was now facing him, raising her hand to form the Ram hand seal. For a second Kazuma thought she was flipping him off for some reason but then she disappeared only to end up behind him. "Hm, so it makes you faster? Well I'm already pretty fast, I'll show you!" Out of nowhere he started doing another consecutive set of push-ups, following each other in high pace. Once he was finished he would stand up again showing how proud he was.

"Something that all shinobi should know? If they can do it, so can I! Now let's see, what was it again, Ram seal right?" Repeating and going over what Yashakure told and showed him he was getting himself ready to try it out for himself. "Fast, I'll show you fast" he was mumbling as he started forming the Ram hand seal. Nothing was happening as Kazuma just stood there with his hands together, looking almost as if he was praying. It was then that he remembered from the Academy that he just couldn't stand there and expect anything to happen with only putting your hands together.

He would try again, only this time he ended up two meters in front of his original position with his face in the mud. "Haha, I bet I took you by surprise there!" Three times a charm he thought so he knew he was going to succeed this time. Taking a deep breath, forming the hand seal and envisioning where he wanted to end up. Disappearing and reappearing a couple of meters ahead of him he finally succeeded in performing this technique he didn't know the name of yet. Of course it wasn't as fast as Yashakure but at least he was making progress. "So, what did you just let me do?" Kazuma was certain the young woman would explain what kind of technique she just showed him.

It was weird how few people were out today and at this hour in particular, was there a storm coming? Or were they observing some holiday that she managed to forget was coming up while she was away visiting her family? Whatever the reason she didn't like the feel of an empty village and hoped that this just happened to be a random occurrence rather than a growing habit. When the Terumi stopped walking and turned to look at her pupil she could see the twinkle in his eyes. With her hand at the ready Yasha would activate the jutsu and speak her peace. Upon turning around the male's words made her think that he was about to do laps, yet he instead took to push-ups. Was he just fucking with her or was his brain firing short circuits? This guy was far more bizarre than the lack of civilians roaming, but she'd brought this upon herself, so she had to deal with it.

Hearing that this technique was one that all shinobi should know prompted the young male to say "they". Did he not consider himself a ninja? He had graduated from the academy right? A boy his age training as hard as he did it would be unusual for him not to already be a genin. While Yasha hadn't asked if he was in fact a member of Kiri's military surely he had at least enough sense to tell what was above his capabilities before wasting chakra. Especially if he was one of those chakra recalcitrant individuals, whatever he did or didn't call himself didn't keep him from mumbling about being fast before trying the jutsu. After putting his hands together he just stood there Yasha wouldn't say anything yet, whether he could sense her chakra he need to figure out what the right amount for his body would be and the right amount for the distance he wished to travel. Refocusing the boy would try again only to fall flat on his face, she wasn't really sure how he managed to do that but it was progress, right?

Refusing to be embarrassed Kazuma got right back up with a laugh and a comment as if he planned it. "Sure did." She said sarcastically even though she was being honest. This next try would be his last and before going through with it he made sure to take a deep breath. Good for him. Yasha thought, his excited energy probably got in the way the first time only to be switched out with embarrassment on the second go round, but he'd gotten now. "That was a simple ninjutsu by the name of Body Flicker." She would reply to the first thing he would say after his success. Not that she had been particularly expecting him to cheer at himself but it would be in character from what he'd already displayed. If he could keep up she'd be as detailed as possible when explaining how and why that jutsu was possible and why the seal was needed to achieve it. Then if there were no questions left and the boy didn't ask to learn any other techniques the Terumi would go get a drink before turning in her mission report. And as said before he was welcome to join her, even if he wasn't of proper drinking age he could at least get a bite to eat, not that Yasha was really against letting him take a sip or two.

They also needed to find out if they were related, that conversation was sure to keep her focused on writing the report so that she didn't spend the rest of the day drinking and cramming it in early tomorrow morning. However she wasn't very confident that he'd be able to go back farther than two generations.

Still glowing from excitement and joy after being able to perform the technique Kazuma started listening to Yashakure as the young woman told him it was a technique called Body Flicker. A simple and short name for a rather simple technique. Even Kazuma was able to figure out that it wasn't anything special and a rather basic technique. Nevertheless the young male was proud that he succeeded in learning something new. Ninjutsu never really was his strong point so pulling this off was a big step forward for Kazuma. "Up till now I have always been average at Ninjutsu so I'm glad with the result, even if it's only a simple technique." Most of the people he knew or had come into contact with all specialised in Ninjutsu, which made him think if he should explore that path in the future. The young man wasn't sure what would happen next so he figured his best bet was to follow whatever Yashakure would do. "So, where to next?" With those words he'd follow her.
