Thief of Wind and Sand (NK, IO)

There is no point in risking life in this mission. Why let Takeshi alone do the fighting when there are three of them?. 

Takeshi dissapointedly agreed to Sakuragi and Kuniko’S protest.  It may be true that Takeshi didn't have a choice but to hearken to his other teammates. Takeshi would step into the cupboard, his large body size took quite a lot of space, but the three still stayed there comfortably. Kuniko may appear to be wearing out because of his prolong use of byakugan. Luckily, he isn't the only one here with byakugan. Once Kuniko told him to activate his dojutsu, the black spiky will do so at once. He had already close the cupboard from inside. Now all they need to do is to wait for the thief to arrive here.

Takeshi sat and waited for the thief to arrive, for hours they sat in the cupboard. Takeshi still slightly frustrated at the plan that they had chosen to go with. Sakuragi had used his byakugan for a while and finally asked Takeshi to take his turn in performing the technique. Takeshi activated his Byakugan and was scanning the area. Takeshi was still thinking in his head how his teammates didnt believe in him, how they didnt think Takeshi could have carried his part of his plan. Takeshi could feel his sanity begin to shake once more. Takeshi had worked extremely hard to get to this point and all he wanted to do was to prove to his teammates that he was a strong ninja too. That he had been working so hard to prove to them, that he was worthy of life and worthy to be a ninja. But Takeshi was not going to be able to show them that if they all just jumped out of a cupboard trying to surround the thief whom they knew little about.

Takeshi wanted to keep his friends out of immediate danger, so Takeshi could take that post.  But his teammates told him no. Takeshi then began thinking about why they would reject Takeshi's plan. Takeshi thought, "Maybe they just want to have some of theglory?" Takeshi then thought about neither of his teammates seem to glory hungry. One seems to be a sweet hearted young man and the other just seemed not to care about anything. "Maybe they actually want to work as a team and not have one single person handle the burden of taking the thief down all on his own." Takeshi thought for a while and decided that this must have been the reason. He was not used to others actually caring about him.

Takeshi calmed his mind and continued to scan the premises. Takeshi was looking a couple hundred yards away in all directions and he didnt see anyone. Takeshi was wondering why the thief was later to this sanctuary, than he was to others. Takeshi then had one more scan until he saw someone. It was a man with an empty sack hanging out of one of his pockets. He was creeping up to the sanctuary, as if he was to rob the place. 

Takeshi nudged Sakuragi, causing Sakuragi to nudge Kuniko. Takeshi's mind began to race in excitement. He was about to take on another person! "He's here. Time to go to work. Takeshi said to his teammates.

Takeshi had made a motion that he saw movement, which prompted Kuniko to activate his won Byakugan once more. Kuniko had spent enough time resting that he had the energy to preform this action. The young shinobi then expanded his vision to search the area until he also spotted a suspicious individual approaching the Starlight Sanctuary. 

The man didn't appear especially old or young, he had shoulder-length spiky hair like a wild man and he wore an eye patch over his right eye. His arms and legs were wrapped in bandages, though he had a rather expensive looking vest on covered in pouches along with very short black pants. Indeed, the man was very bizarrely dressed and looked shady. He was also approaching the Donation Box from the shadows. He was walking on the grassy hillside of the shrine, away from the nearby buildings and stairway. 

"The thief! That has to be him!" Kuniko sharply whispered to his comrades. As they watched, the man began performing a series of hand seals and then a cloud of white powdery sand started quietly climbing from the many pouches on his vest. The cloud moved ten meters away from the man, slowly and quietly, before engulfing the donation box. With his Byakugan Kuniko could see the man was manipulating the sand to pull out the money that people had given to the shrine. 

Kuniko whispered once again to his comrades, "now's our chance, while he's distracted using his jutsu! Sakuragi, Takeshi, go around to the other side quietly to surround him so he doesn't escape. Then I will follow so he is in the center of our triangle. Once we are in position, we will try to capture him. Sakuragi, you attack first, but remember to hold back. Takeshi, if Sakuragi doesn't finish him in one strike, then you should jump in next. If neither of you land a hit, then i will jump in last. Let's go!" 

After that, Kuniko would wait for his comrades to exit the cupboard and surround the thief. Kuniko would also leave his hiding spot and quietly approach the thief while he was distracted, until he was in position to ambush. Once Kuniko had formed the triangle formation he discussed with his team members, he would wait until either Sakuragi or Takeshi made their move. Should the thief do something unpredictable, or either of his teammates do a dangerous attack that might hit Kuniko, he would dodge it by leaping backwards, or if necessary to escape it, by using his palm rotations.

Once Instructions had been reviewed from his teammates, Sakuragi swing into action.  The black spiky haired would quietly walked and hide behind a pillar for some seconds. The pillar was seven meters away from the thief who was busy with the denotation box.  Out of nowhere, Sakuragi leaped to the right side of the pillar and yelled as he thrust his palm forward “eight trigrams vacuum palm ” . The canon unleashed would travel ten meters, because of of the speed at which it moves it is certain to hit the man and knock him off if it didn't kill me. Because such jutsu was used at a blind spot dodging would be difficult . The black spiky had his dojustu active all the while. Once he has used his own jutsu, he would pocket his hands in to his black jacket expecting his other teammates to execute their own attacks too.

Takeshi had motioned to his teammates that the thief was here, once doing this Takeshi activated his Chakra Suppression and readied himself for the fight. Kuniko had instructed both Sakuragi and Takeshi to sneak out of the cupboard and to surround the thief without him noticing. "now's our chance, while he's distracted using his jutsu! Sakuragi, Takeshi, go around to the other side quietly to surround him so he doesn't escape. Then I will follow so he is in the center of our triangle. Once we are in position, we will try to capture him. Sakuragi, you attack first, but remember to hold back. Takeshi, if Sakuragi doesn't finish him in one strike, then you should jump in next. If neither of you land a hit, then i will jump in last. Let's go!" Takeshi and Sakuragi slowly got out of the cupboard, Takeshi not liking the plan of hitting the thief one at a time, still going through with what Kuniko had said. Sakuragi had not performed his chakra suppression yet, but Takeshi couldn’t say anything for it would have given off their location. The thief must have noticed because just before Sakuragi would leap out from behind the pillar and perform his vacuum palm, the thief threw sand spears toward Sakuragi and also toward Takeshi and Kuniko. Takeshi used his body flicker technique to not only dodge the spears, but to close the gap on to the thief. Takeshi used his location, being right behind him to perform Leaf Rising Wind and kicking the thief into the air. While the thief was in the air, Takeshi would perform Dancing Leaf Shadow and continue that combo into the Lion’s Frenzy, which would launch the thief into ground, rendering him physically unable to move without a tremendous amount of pain. That is, if everything went to plan, and based on Takeshi’s speed and strength, he was sure it would.

Kuniko watched as his teammates quickly rushed to their positions to surround the thief. Sakuragi had managed to find a spot by a pillar of the shrine, while Takeshi seemed to be heading out in his own direction. Before Kuniko could even get into position, Sakuragi leaped into action. Kuniko watched as Sakuragi used his Vacuum Palm technique, which the thief managed to avoid. Kuniko could see Takeshi moving in from his position as well to Kuniko's right.

The thief, however, was in the air and throwing sand spears at the three genin around him. As the sand spear flew towards Kuniko he quickly used his substitution jutsu to replace himself with a small wooden statue of a lion from the shrine. To the attacker, it would seem as though Kuniko was hit in the chest by the spear for a split second before the illusion burst revealing the decorative object. Kuniko then safely appeared behind cover deeper in the shrine. Though Kuniko still had his Byakugan active, he wasn't looking for the thief right that moment. Instead he turned his vision to look for Sakuragi and Takeshi, to make sure they both had survived the attack.

It seems the thief has some trick up his sleeves. The black haired boy had use a gentle fist jutsu at a blind spot. The thief manage to dodge and send sand spear flying at the three hyuuga boys. Sakuragi had his dojutsu active so he was able to see it coming in time. The black spiky would use a weak version of the eight trigrams palm revolving heaven.  The technique deflected the sand sphere few feet away from the boy. Since sakuragi had his byakugan on, he knew quite well where his teammates was. He was sure they would be able to avoid getting hit by a simple tech like this. Sakuragi would remain where he was, not attacking, but was on the look out for any other assault that may wanna come from the thief.

Takeshi missed his attack that he attempted after Sakuragi's attack. Takeshi went for a basic taijutsu technique, and the thief had taken to the sky and began shooting spears at him and his teammates. Takeshi knew that this could no go on for long, so before the thief had left his position, Takeshi thought of a plan. Takeshi sent out three earth spears of his own and used the genjutsu technique that he and Ayato had been working on. The technique was called false surroundings and Takeshi used it to make the thief not see the spears, as if the spears were never there. Takeshi sent these out at its max speed and they continued to hurdle, zeroed in on the head, chest and torso of the thief. Takeshi, while still underground, waiting for his spears to hit their mark.

Kuniko was hiding safely in the shrine as the battle continued outside. He thought that he might as well try to cut off any route of escape for the thief should he prove capable enough to survive the assault of Takeshi and Sakuragi. Kuniko hurried around a corner and leaped out of an open window from the shrine to the shadowed grassy hillside where the other shinobi were battling the thief. Once out in the open again, the young genin kept watch over the fight from a place in the shadows. He made sure his posture was straight and ready in the Hyuuga fighting style. The location he stood in was perfect for a thief to retreat to since it was the only spot nearby not illuminate by the shrine's lanterns. 

Kuniko looked up towards the fight long enough to see Takeshi hurl three spears made of dirt at the thief who was rising in the air. As the spears approached with incredible speed, Kuniko noticed the thief's chakra network vanish as his body was replaced with a sand clone at the moment before impact. In the same moment, the thief reformed out of the white sand that was now scattered all over the ground. The sand clone above was struck, head, chest, and stomach by Takeshi's spears and was destroyed. 

In this moment, Kuniko's careful positioning paid off. The thief had appeared on the ground near the shadows of the temple and seemed unaware of the other ninja's presence a few meters behind him. Kuniko quietly leaped from the darkness at the thief and struck his back with the bottom of his right palm. "Hya!" The gentle fist technique didn't look as though it caused any damage on the surface, but the strike was carefully aimed to cut off a chakra point in the thief's back. 

As soon as Kuniko's strike landed, he leaped backwards once again to take cover in the shadows. While his Byakugan could easily pierce the night, the thief's vision was clearly limited to that of a normal shinobi.

The  battle raged on. The thief sure didn't expect to confronted by three hyuuga shinobi. Today was his unlucky day. 

Takeshi used some kind of jutsu that Sakuragi seem not to know. Then he watched as Takeshi hurled three weapons at the thief. The thief substituted and upon appearing the black Spiky would throw the kunai at the thief, all three  aimed at his torso.  


The black spiky haired would calmly remain where he was, observing to see how the thief would react to his attack.
