The journey back to the fang village all the way from wind country included a small overnight stop. With his next train departing tomorrow morning. The world seemed different to the now bulkier and slightly taller ninja. Maby it was the way that he saw beauty in even the littlest things or had some more respect for the average people around him just trying to go about their day. Or perhaps it had something to do with the stares of young woman lingering on him a little longer. His phisique certainly giving him a slightly sharper edge with the opposite sex. Regardless, he was a changed man. For one, he actually paid for his ticket this time. Albeit indirectly, tipping the engineer.
Besides, he was up for a night time walk by the time the passenger car unloaded. Buying his ticket for tomorrow morning and tucking it into his pocket. The ninja mosied on over to a vending machine and looked over their options. Picking out a diet soda that tasted like lemonade. When something cought his eye. A small paper nailed to a post by the wall. "Elder Yumi's funeral service. Help wanted, 500 ryo reward. Flowers needed, grave site need digging, tomb stone already prepared, but needs planting." With one glance over to the actual job board he could see that this task was yet to be taken. The town, though tiny. Was growing at a rapid rate thanks to the train station in town. And higher paying, easier work was always around the corner. "What the hell... It's not like I got to bury my dad." He said, taking the flier personally so that he could guide others to a treasure he could not possess.
He headed to the address on the back of the flyer, which was a small cemitary just out of town. He was surprised to see that there was no grave digger with the only measure of security being a short white fence all around the public property to look nice. He looked at a small map by the entrance to see where the new grave would be held and shook his head in disappointment. Nobody had even started the job. Oh well, atleast there was also nobody to see him casually use some jutsu to solve this problem. With one stomp on the ground he rose up a chunk of stone and soil above the ground. Then prying it out further and further. A task which was half difficult since he both could not break the ground into pieces and had poor leverage. But soon he did pluck it away and a nine foot hole remained in the ground.
With one nibble on his finger he called for his best friend Nectar. "Hi little guy, hope I didn't wake you up...." He looked down at the hummingbird, who despite having accepted the summoning call. Rolled over onto the grass and went back to sleep. He stroked the little guy with one finger until he had his attention again. Before pointing to the nearby grassland. "Hey, can you pick me some flowers? You're the coolest florist I know." The bird wiggled it's tail feathers, but stood still. Seemingly needing more to convince him. "It's for a nice ladies funeral and I'll buy you an unhealthy snack afterwards." "Alright!" With his summon taking care of the flowers all Mar had to do was pick up the tomb stone, throw it in position and wait. Climbing atop a small mausoleum to watch his friend effortlessly form a bouquet in the dead of night.
He turned to leave without staying for the reward, or the events to come afterwords. But as a worried, tired doughter of the elder came to check the site the next morning. Finding it perfectly prepared, she put her hands together and looked to the sky. "Thank you."
