Coming back to Suna, for now
Sat Nov 23, 2019 6:23 pm
Returning to Suna, this time for real(For now anyway)
Taichi felt as if he was a dead man still walking. He would go through day by day, constantly remembering the destruction of Suna, the screaming of his fiancé's family as the ceiling fell directly on top of them. His sleep constantly being interrupted by the memories of the flames that had engulfed large pieces of Suna. How he was only an Academy student at the time and was no help to anyone. His parents both being gone, and his home village being attacked and politically brought to its knees, Taichi saw no reason to return.
This would change after his trying to kill himself for months. He spent months in ditches and in dive bars, trying his best to forget everything and hoped that one morning he would have fallen asleep, but wouldn't wake up again. But with this failing and Taichi finally figuring it was probably for a reason, he returned back to Suna. When he returned to Suna, he met a man named Stark. He told Taichi the lawless state that Suna was in. Upon figuring out that he was right when he had went into the village breifly, he decided that he wasn't quite ready to return home. So he went back onto the road, but this time with a different mission. This time, he was going to get back onto the road to carry out all type of contracts that he could. He realized that the one thing he needed more than anything at the moment, was money.
Taichi had been gone for what seemed like weeks. He had been walking through the borders of Wind Country completing contracts, but now he figured it was time to return to Sunagakure and try to find what money he could make a little closer to home. He felt that he was ready to actually be in Suna again, this time, he would try and find his parent's house, he prayed that nothing had happened to it. If nothing had, that would turn into his base of operations within Suna. But when he was on the road wandering, he would just save up all of his money and bring it back to Suna. Even if it was full of criminals, himself included, he still loved it for it was in fact, his home.
As Taichi got closer to the village gates, he could smell the piles of corpses that had been what looked like placed onto the stair steps that were the village gates leading into the village. The sun that beat the desert every day didn't discriminate, it hit the corpses just as bad as it hit every grain of sand of the desert and the smell most certainly showed it. Taichi covered his nose with a thick cloth that he had picked up while on the road, he knew he was going to need something to block the wretched smell. He reached the gates, and he headed into the village, hoping to find his old home.
