A Stranger Asks A Favor

Upon hearing the pimp's response, Satoru is put at ease. He has made it into this system of people, albeit as a lowly hired hand. While he does not express it, there is satisfaction and gratification in his heart upon hearing that his quarters will be set up by the day's end. It is assumed that this refers to his request to live in the Nara Estate. For the first time in what feels like months, he will have a bed of his own in which to sleep. He is also happy to hear that his work will begin shortly with a briefing on what might be his assignment. Work means payment and money is another form of power.

The Nara shifts his attention to the paper and ink before him. While the man has explained the arrangement to him, Satoru also finds it worth his effort to read over the contract. As far as he has seen, this village and its leadership are keen on trust and keeping one's word. Breaking any part of the contract would not be in Satoru's best interest. He reads intently so as to absorb all of the information. When he has finished reading, he picks up the quill, dips it into the ink container, and signs the contract.

"I will wait for the briefing to begin." Satoru settles in his chair.

"Good good mr nara. Iv met your previous head. She was a great ally of mine,but of course her nature and her choices lead to her downfall. Not by our hands, but the unknown. Yen stated as the door opened and in came several individuals with a few vials. As yen produced one as well. They also produced an needle with an syringe.

The voice of a lady sharp and to the point as if they boy began he would be pricked in the shoulder and the process took only but a few seconds. Only to be healed by her and the medical staff would bow to yen taking the vial he had for recreational purposes for copying the samples of DNA.

"Now then before you leave i would like to officially thank you for coming to me. With that you will be granted the name of mercenary. This does not give you authority that exceeds the genin rank of thisvillage despite status. And with its note you may not take others from this village on your tasks or otherwise, unless approved by myself personally. Untill your probation is complete will will not allow you to take due in the village wide tasks. In three days top you will be assigned your first task.,"

Yen would sound stern as he said this, but smiled softly.

"Take a shower satoru, and go enjoy the evening. Meet some people and have fun. Dismissed mr nara and see you in a few days. Your jounin guide that will not only show you your qaurters on nara land, but will observe you amid your probation. Will find you later on. Rest well and feast like a king."


Yen would say as he would give the boy a bow. Granted turnimg off his sensory technique and with that he would await satorus departure from the building.

The pimp's ominous words hold some weight, preventing Satoru's spirits from rising too high. His current situation is both advantageous and dangerous, a careful balance of both. A wrong step may be the end of his long-term endeavors.

"He isn't speaking lightly. I've entered a den of lions. And I am a wolf without a pack. But I shouldn't have much to worry about if I keep my head down and do what I'm told." Satoru thinks silently.

When the medical specialists with syringes enter the room, the Nara is slightly startled though he does not show it physically. The drawing of blood follows shortly afterward. This cements in Satoru's mind that his current situation is real and has substance. While his signature on paper is the most official proof, his job as a mercenary begins now as he gifts his very DNA to this village.

He exits the room to resume his day with the knowledge that he has fulfilled the mission he has set out to accomplish.
