Kozai examined the two pairs of nearly identical books. Getting new editions of textbooks was always a great time, though he would eventually need more space if he wanted to carry all of them. So, should he toss out the old ones? Donate them to charity, perhaps? No, forget about it. For now, at least, he had the capacity to carry both. This one, in particular, was a physics textbook. Kozai reconsidered briefly. Was there any new information that changed what was in the original? In other words, was anything in the original textbook now proven to be incorrect? Surely, this was something worth looking into.
Kozai walked over to the wall phone and dialed the publishing company. Better to do it this way than to spend time reading the whole textbook (the new one, at least, Kozai hadn't read and memorized yet). As it turned out, he was right: the old textbook had information that was now widely considered incorrect by the community. Well, Kozai sure was glad he was able to double check then. Better to be safe than sorry. Well, he would rather not let a book go to waste, but there was no way he was going to carry this book in his inventory anymore.
The library held truth and more importantly, it held enlightenment. Kozai catalogued and shelved the new book, and considered the old book for a second before placing it in a donation bin. It was one of only a few books there.
