Fire and Lightning in the Ravine [Closed]
Sun Aug 09, 2020 11:08 am
The night had just settled upon the lands of Kumogakure, most of the ninja had been retiring for the night and many still within the shadows had been watching over the village. A lot has happened within these wall over the past weeks, a solo invader from Konoha coming to attack the gates. The loss of his sight and more. Kiseragi stood at the epicenter of what was once known as a thriving place of the Dragons of Kumo, now a small festering pit of dead and bones. The last place that had truly not been cleansed of Youka's filth. His eyes looked around the area for a moment as he waited for the footsteps of the person he had called here for one last challenge. He had contemplated on this for some time and decided it was time to step out of his Master's shadow. For too long had he stayed complacent in the folds of Yaju...he needed to break free for what was to come. Tapping his right shoulder as he waited, he begun to whistle a light tune as he allowed his senses to take over.
After what felt like an hour he could hear the coming footsteps, light but they were filled with authority and pride- the sound of the last Fox sage. Opening his eyes he would turn to face his teacher and friend with a small smirk," How quaint you of all people are late to something like this....You really need to work on your...what is it...timing if you're going to not be considered an old man," a small chuckle escaped his lips as he looked at the yellow eyes of the wolf. Tonight would be the final night he would be considered someone's cub...Tonight he would be the dire wolf.

The sound of lightning filled the air as he walked into the Dragon's Ravine and a small sigh escaped his lips. How long had it been since he stepped foot into this place? Was it the fight between him and his student versus his own friend and mentor? The years had been drawing together as he pulled out a smoke and popped it into his mouth. The small Visage of a child is what he wore at the current moment as he continued to walk forward.
He thought that it was ironic that his student had called him out here for a little pow wow," What is this little cub thinking challenging me....after losing the last time... ," Yaju was perplexed but definitely didn't shirk away from the challenge at the slightest. As he finally came into the picture he looked at the red eyed male with a smirk," I see you have changed your hair my little cub. I felt a little nostalgic so I stopped at a certain spot here... Old man? Surely you're just speaking from your ass now," removing the hood from his head, his eyes would begin to glow slowly as his byakugan activated and the cigarette was dropped. Before they began he would step onto the cigarette putting it out in the process," I'm assuming we are only using anything in our repertoire to win? Given your lineage you are going to try to Genjutsu me...but if you do I'm prepared for that. So anything else?," the eyes rested on the young Uchiha as he waited for an answer.
"Shall we begin?"

It was an understatement to say that Kiseragi wasn't offended that this man wasn't taking this as serious as he was. Coming in this child like form and even calling him little cub made the male...less than happy. The downward turn of his brows just showed how upset he was with these turn of events, but he wasn't going to let this get to him. No. Instead in took in a deep breath and shook his head as h we listened to his masters question," Yes but I won't need to use any genjutsu to beat you...that's just a cowards way of doing this, " he wasnt as versed in the ways of genjutsu as other people, but he was confident in his abilities in ninjutsu.
When the question was asked he wasted no time in activated his three tomoe sharingan and weaved a series of seals in rapid sucession before releasing a flurry of fireballs at the other male, aiming to catch him off guard but he knew with his Byakugan he would find a way to get through it. The moment the fireballs were released he began his movements, moving into a sprint toward the right as his left hand moved toward his kunai pouch. Three of the knives were pulled from their home and launched one after the other aiming to catch the Hyuga off guard if he tried to dodge that way, but he know the wolf was more cunning, smarter even to get caught by such a simple ploy.

So the fight had finally begun.
Yaju watched as his student formed the handseals for a technique he knew as well, it would seem as if he wasn't going to hold anything back after all. As the other male made the hand seals for the fireball technique so too did Yaju, mirroring them speed for speed as the fireballs left his mouth so too did his. As the fireballs met and exploded in an display of crimson, Yaju watched as his student moved toward his right (or Kiseragi's left) to only to pull out something from his leg. To remedy this action he would begin to form another string of handseals before the sound of lightning filled the air. Waving his hand he would create fifty needles made of lightning, but before they could fly free he would perform another string of seals that would create a problem for his student if he did not act fast enough. The lightning based senbon would go from fifty to one hundred as he flew toward Kiseragi aiming to debilitate and slow him down. Yaju wasn't going to simply hold back because the man was like family to him. No. Since this was the challenge he wanted he would give him everything he had. In the meantime Yaju would begin to move toward the male at a decent pace to see just how he would deal with the oncoming assault of senbon. Maybe the younger male would show him something he had never seen before...or maybe this was the extent of the Uchiha's power.

As the fireballs continued to clash and light the air with hues of crimson and yellow, Kiseragi could see the glint coming from the opposite side, but what it was had been unknown to him. Watching as a few gleams turned into a legion he was faced with a difficult decision that would cause him to use something he wanted to save honestly. As the hundred lightning senbon came at him, his eyes would begin to swirl into the next state of the sharingan, and as they did black flames would begin to exude from the vision of the Uchiha, swallowing the path of the senbon. As the two jutsu clashed, the fire would continue to eat and swallow the Senbon until nothing had remained of them and a small trickle of blood seeped from his eye as he looked at the male with a smile,"Is that all you have to bring old man? You're going to bore me at this rate," of course Kiseragi had more at his disposal at the moment. From this moment onward he would be on the offensive, using the ocular abilities of his right eye he would shape and form the black flames into spears that would head toward the Hyuga aiming to pierce and engulf him in a sea of darkness. The flames that could burn even the water they drink would soon encroach upon his master unless he had a plant to tackle this. In their first bout he only knew of the flames of Amaterasu, but now he could control them. He had evolved and with his evolution he would begin to show his true mastery and status among the two.

The sounds of fire and lightning began a chorus in his ears causing the lone wolf to almost smile. The first time they fought since his return back, those flames were untamed and reckless...now it would have seemed as if he had a control over his own powers. What had happened since the two had parted for a moment was a curious tale, but seeing those flames meant that he was either delving too far into the Uchiha bloodline...or maybe something darker was at play here. As the flames died down after swallowing his onslaught of senbon, the flames began to flicker and form into something completely different. This had definitely been something he had not seen before. He knew the flames of Amaterasu from his bout with Kurisu, and the knowledge he had accumulated from Kurokon...But this new technique, whatever it might have been was something more. As the spears of black flame flew to encroach and engulf the wild wolf, he had to think quickly in order to defend himself. His sleeves quickly turned upward as he held his right hand up into the direction of the flames as a red seal began to form and pulse. As the spears clashed with it, the seal would begin to spin and absorb the black flames in an attempt to contain them. After a moment or two the flames would disappear as he sighed in relief knowing the technique still held its own," You've somehow managed to tame the fires of Amaterasu...how interesting. That won't be enough to stop me...Now lets see how you like your own technique!," as he finished his sentence the seal would being to spin counter-clockwise sending the spears directly back at their owner. What would the man do to prevent his own attack from harming him?

The man continued to surprise him as he had a response for the black flames and it didn't seem to faze him in the slightest. The red hues of his Mangekyo Sharingan continued to remain fixed on the ex-kage as he made a string of hand seals and something formed to stop the flames initially. What he didn't know was that the seal was absorbing the flames until he had seen them disappear into the seal itself. A small grunt of anger left his lips as he listened to the man speak.
It was as if he was mocking him, but Kiseragi would have the last laugh. As the spears of black fire were fired back at him, Kiseragi would wait. He planned every move as his sharingan predicted the flight path and where they would hit if he allowed it . When they were less than a meter away from him an ethereal arm of black would form, stopping the spears in their tracks as he looked at the male," All you do is talk. Shut up," as he spoke the skeletal Visage of his Susano'o would form. Only the torso and an arm could be seen for now as the arm moved to grab the wolf. It was time this fight came to an end, and soon he would end it. All of the past came creeping back up like a rushing river, and in his mind it all lead up to this moment. He wasn't going to continue to live in anyone's shadow anymore. He was going to step out and finally have a name for himself. No more teachers... No more of feeling like he had to tie himself to someone's legacy.

Shock.
That was the first thing that went through his mind as the spectral figure came into being. It wasn't something he had seen before of any Uchiha...in fact this was something he could not account for. He knew the Sharingan had many abilities tied into it, but this was one that he had never seen. Shaking his head he was brought back into the fray by his students words. The figure had definitely made things harder but he was not going to back down from this. Not at all.
As the arm came toward him, it would be met with the power of lightning. A technique that was passed down through the line of Raikage. As the lightning crackled around him, Yaju's body began to swarm his senses and muscle as he used a collection of its technique and a technique of his own clans power- the vacuum palm.
When the Chakra construct was pushed away, the child like visage was dropped...his true appearance stood before his student. He has pushed him to this point which meant that his student was finally growing...and it was time for the final push. He was right. This was the time to fight, no more talking. Walking toward the male he would begin to brush off the cloak he had been wearing before sprinting toward his student with the intent of ending this now.
His right hand moved forward, creating a pressurized form of wind that would push the skeletal structure backwards. He'd continue until he got within range and then the crackling of lightning and the chirping of birds. Here would be the last attempt at ending it

The trickling sound of rain and lightning filled the air as the two encountered their last stand off. His master had done well to block and prevent his attacks, even going so far as to use a technique that was only known by two Raikage...This meant he was trying to end this here and now. As a final step in this battle it meant that these last moves would decide who would win and ultimately who would lose.
Kiseragi had no intention of giving up nor was he about to let this slip out of his favor but he had one more trick up his sleeve....well two actually. As the males assault began, his susuano'o would stand tall, taking the brunt of the damage but what Yaju didn't know was that his student had something else to show. He had never used this before in a fight yet, but this would definitely be the time to do so. His Mangekyou would begin to spin and form into its true form as markings began to form as well.
The explosive power caused an aura to appear around his body as he used the same technique of his master- the Chidori. Fueled by the power of the wolf sage and his bloodline, the two would clash with the sound of lightning before everything went silent. The world flashed for a moment as only one stood and the other laid on the ground, panting for the clutches of air. The Uchiha was victorious this time. Kiseragi stood tall over the ex-raikage as he took in a deep breath and looked at the man through his eternal gaze," See my power now....I am no longer in your shadow." It came as a shock to Yaju that he too held the power of sages but....when?

Everything was over in a flash. Yaju had been taken aback by the sudden boost in power by his former student. He could see the change in his eyes and he had only seen that stage of Sharingan once- from his foster father, Kurisu. What happened next shocked him as he felt the nature Chakra flooding from his student. Not only could he feel it....he could see it. When did this man obtain the power from the sages...and how long had he been holding it in his grasp. As their Chidori's collided, everything turned a mess of blue and white before the sound died down and he was seeing the world from the ground.
In his moment of hesitation he had let up and succumbed to the attack of his student. The power of his lightning release armor kept him relatively safe, but the power that punched through it definitely put him down. He could hear the words of his student but the wolf had no words to say. He had lost in this bout and it came to a surprise for him. He valued his own strength even in spite of dying almost....things had been different in this world now. He slowly tried to move but his body refused as he accepted what had happened. The student was no longer the student as he chuckled to himself silently....what was he to do now? Consciousness faded from his eyes as he laid in the rain, his student picking him up and taking him to his home in the mountain.
By the time Yaju came to Kiseragi was gone and with no note or anything left. A small sigh left his lips as he looked around his mountain home," It is time for this shadow to disappear it seems...oh well."
