Taking a Fortune (Mission) - Page 2 Empty Re: Taking a Fortune (Mission)

Tue Aug 25, 2020 9:31 pm
It wouldn’t take long, but the group would arrive, and there they would meet up with their client. After talking and the introduction being given, they entered the estate they were in front of. It was really big from his sight and he could only imagine how much money the father had. He could understand why this young man would ask them for their help to have his father sign over money. When their client finish speaking, it would seem like Guren would be the one to stay behind. This was for the best as it would help them with time and getting what they wanted.

They would follow Xiang up the stairs without hesitating as Yuurei’s eyes would change from regular eyes to that of the Sharingan. He figured if anybody would see him now and then saw his eyes change, then they would think he was planning on something. That was why he figured that he would go in with his eyes already activated. While they were moving up the stairs, Gin would ask a few questions and he would look over to the two as he was listening to their conversation. It wouldn’t take long for their talk to finish, and the two of them would enter the old man’s room. It seemed like he wasn’t happy to see them and the nurses that were there were hesitant at first but noticed Gin’s magic had worked and the man’s pain was at ease.

The nurses would step away from Gin, but they would look at Yuurei wondering who he was and what was he doing here. The old man also looked at Yuurei as he was wondering who he was.

“And what about you? Who are you and why are you in my room?” He asked Yuurei wondering what was going to be said.

Yuurei would look around the area as he would realize that he was the one that was being spoken to.

“I am Kouhei and I am Dr. Hitoshi’s apprentice. I handle the paperwork for him and assist him with anything that he needs help on.” He would say this as he would catch all three of the people within the room in a Genjutsu.

They had all looked at him and it was what he wanted. They would see his eyes were normal, and the weapon pouches and attire were no longer around them. The document that he had for the old man to sign had also changed to what looked like medical documents. This was going well right now, and he would look over to Gin with a smile on his face. He could see that his friend was helping him feel better, but would he be able to heal him back to normal?

Yuurei figured his friend wouldn’t do that because it wasn’t part of the mission. He would approach Gin who was near the old man and he would take out the scroll from his pocket. Yuurei would pretend to scribble a few things onto the paper as he would make the paper look like it had his illness and Gin’s fake name on the paper if he chose to read through it.

“Here are the medical documents that he needs to sign and fingerprint. This is so we can have your medical history in our database.” He would hand it over to his partner and he would allow Gin to get the man to sign it.

The nurses would see the same thing, but they had questions for Yuurei.

“So what else do you do while you on your travel with Dr. Hitoshi?” One of the girls had asked him.

Yuurei would look at him as he would rub the back of his head nervous with the question that they had asked him.

“I make sure that all of his medical equipment is clean and sterile. I maintained everything for him so that he is able to focus on his work. It seems right now he is just checking up on him and making sure that there isn’t something worse than what was stated before on the reports.” He said this to the two of them.

Yuurei would use his chakra sensory to see if Guren was fine, but he knew that he would be. His eyes moved back to Gin as he was waiting for his friend to get that paper signed, so they could be on their way. Hopefully, he could put the man to sleep with that thing he did last time, but after they got the papers signed.

Taking a Fortune (Mission) - Page 2 Empty Re: Taking a Fortune (Mission)

Thu Aug 27, 2020 12:06 am
Gin had pulled out a thermometer from his backpack as well as a stethoscope. He hadn't realized he would get to use them today let alone at all during any mission, but it was a surprise to actually be useful at all during any mission. He placed the thermometer into the mouth of the lord and then took his blood pressure using the stethoscope. From what he could tell the man wasn't of the best of health, but it seems he had a lot of stress in his life whether it was done intentionally by himself or by others, but given his title it was expected at time.

The nurses had moved about, watching Gin work, but it didn't bother the medic, he was in the motion and it felt like he was at home. They seem to be slightly impressed by slightly insulted given that they had spent their time doing their best in their job. "Well?" Lord Wei had asked with a grunt, sounding impatient.

"I haven't finished my analysis, sir" Gin didn't look at him, but simply examined the thermometer after removing it from Wei's mouth, "So far you seem fine, however you need to begin going on a strict diet and take your medicine regularly, from what I can tell you have to avoiding doing both and that is more than likely the reason for the decline in health, I will provide a proper prescription but I need you to promise you'll take it, now my nurse will provide the paperwork for the medicine."

Taking a Fortune (Mission) - Page 2 Empty Re: Taking a Fortune (Mission)

Thu Aug 27, 2020 8:35 pm
To begin to scout out the area, Guren and his clones would split up. His first clone would take the Eastern perimeter, where Guren and his comrades had entered the premises from. He was doubtful that the sister and her hired help would be as audacious as to take the front entrance, thus he felt confident in using a mere clone to handle this side. The second clone was delegated to take the Northern perimeter. An attack from this side would also be unlikely, as the Northern perimeter only had a few feet of clearance between itself and the cliff side. Down the cliff would be nothing but a tumultuous fall, jagged ledges, and sharp rocks. There was a low chance anyone would willingly undertake such a risk.

Guren was left to patrol the Eastern and Southern faces of the property. And he would do so quickly yet cautiously. Although they were shielded by the sides of the adjacent flat topped mountain, the mountain wasn’t tall enough to rule out the possibility of someone using it to flank the villa. Thus Guren would scale it, utilizing his surface walking technique to ascend it. Once he had reached the top he instantly came across a small camp behind a mid-sized rock formation. It was equipped with a small, extinguished campfire and a decent sized tent. Stealthily, Guren would creep up to it and stick his head inside the tent. There was no one home.

Yet in that moment of investigation, he was immediately encountered by a couple who delivered a swift blow to Guren’s midsection. Slightly winded, he would hunch over and withdraw his head from the tent. Following this he would turn around to face his attackers: a woman, appearing a couple years older than Guren, encountered by a man of likely the same age.

“Who are you, and what are you doing here?” the woman demanded to know as she wielded a sharpened kunai pointed at Guren. The man that stood beside her appeared to be a mercenary of some sort. From physical appearance, he was must more intimidating than the small framed woman who spoke coldly to Guren.

“I’m just a ninja from Sunagakure. Investigating the area.”

“For what?”

“For suspicious people…looking for someone who might be looking at attacking that estate down there,” as he pointed to the estate down the mountainside, “and it would seem like this would be the perfect vantage point to do so.” Guren continued, speculating on the ill intentions of the hostile inhabitants that pitched their tents at the location of this camp.

The woman would scoff and cut straight to the chase. “You’re not stopping us from getting that money. And Heinz here is going to make sure of it.” The woman said while nodding her head at the large framed Heinz. He would instantly withdraw his axe which hung off his waist belt, and swing it horizontally at Guren’s direction. Guren would respond with a swift prone stance, easily clearing the swipe of the axe. Now in a plank position, Guren would roll towards the offhand of the mercenary. The mercenary would attempt at again swinging at Guren, but this time vertically. Instead, he would miss and drive the axe straight into the ground. As Heinz tried to withdraw the axe from the ground, Guren would swiftly arise from his low pose and shoot upwards with an extended foot. It was targeted to pinpoint the stretched out arm of Heinz. And it would, right in the elbow. All in a second Heinz would find his elbow kicked in and broken. He scoffed in pain but immediately punched Guren in the face as a response. Guren would fall back several feet, and when he would recompose himself in a squatting stance he would find himself being rushed towards by the woman with the kunai. Guren would sternly smack the hand of the woman, sending the kunai flying out from it. Subsequently he would grab a firm hold on the woman’s wrist, and twist it inversely and downwards. Due to the contortion, she fell to her knees and faced away from Guren.

Heinz the mercenary would see this and attempt at rushing towards Guren with his broken arm, all in an effort to save his client. But as he took his first steps, he would quickly be met with both of Guren’s clones sweeping him off his feet and quickly quarantining him within a combined water prison jutsu. Guren would laugh at the short work he made of the so called threats. Now in a dominant position he would stand to his feet while still restraining the woman. As his hand was in contact with the woman, he would rapidly focus his chakra within her and she would soon find herself in a genjutsu. Powerful enough to place her into a coma – like sleep. Thus after he would release her hand and cause her to drop to the floor. He’d then divert his attention to the man that resided within the water prison. Such a shame. Simultaneously, him and his two clones would all use a free hand to form several handseals. Right after those same hands generated lightning currents, which were then driven into the water prison jutsu. And in the process the mercenary was quickly electrocuted to death.

With that, Guren had thwarted the plan of the sister who was presumably lying unconscious next to him. He’d laugh to himself, dispel the clones, then pick the woman up and throw her body over his shoulder. From here he would descend the mountain and walk back off towards the estate. Upon arrival he dropped her sleeping body off at the estate entrance and took a seat next to it. The estate guard would walk up to Guren and the sleeping woman.

“Oh, what happened to Yuna? She get too drunk again?”

Yuna…must have been the name of Xiang’s sister. “I thwarted her plan. Please fetch for Mr. Xiang and my comrades. See if they’ve completed their works wherever they might. I don’t think I can enter and travel about the manor freely.” Guren politely requested.

The guard would nod and let out, “Yes, you can only walk around there with an escort. But I will go look for Xiang and your friends.”

With that both Guren and the guard nod at each other and the guard would head off towards the manor. He would travel towards wherever Xiang, Gin, and Yuurei, all were and would let them know where Guren was waiting for them. In the meantime Guren would wait patiently for his teammates to conclude their work and be escorted by Xiang back to Guren's current whereabouts.

Taking a Fortune (Mission) - Page 2 Empty Re: Taking a Fortune (Mission)

Sat Aug 29, 2020 9:48 pm
Yuurei would look at Gin as he was going to work with the old man who was on the bed. His right foot tapping on the ground as he was waiting for him to finish everything. He wondered if Guren was fine as he was away from the estate, which meant that he couldn’t sense his chakra. Still, it wouldn’t take long, but the silence in the room would break after Gin and the man exchange words. When he heard that it was his turn, Yuurei would walk over to the old man with a smile on his face. He was a jolly person, so the smile wasn’t hard to create.

“This is the paperwork I need you to sign sir. You can read it over if you want to, but you should be fine.” He said this as he would look at the man.

The old man would grab the pen that was given to him, and he had glanced at the document real quick and from what he saw, he could tell that this was the real deal in his eyes. Yuurei would just wait for everything to be signed, and when he saw that he was done with signing it was the next step.

“If you can also put your seal as well right here, everything will be fine.” He said this as he would point where they needed his seal.

The old man was surprised at how thorough they were, but he figured that village medics were different than other doctors and nurses in the country. He would sigh as he would shake his head and he would do just that. His seal was now on the paper, and Yuurei would roll up the documents as they had gotten everything that they needed from him. He would walk over to Gin as he had a serious look on his face.

“Everything is done, doctor. We should leave, but I will let you stay with the patient a little longer if you need to.” Yuurei would say this to Gin as he would start heading out of the room.

His eyes still in their Sharingan form as he kept the Genjutsu on them until Gin left the room. He would open the door and he would step out of it as he would lean on the wall and sigh with relief. Xiang would be outside as he would look at Yuurei and he could see the change of his eyes and knew that he was indeed a ninja. The little boy would smile at him as he would wave at him.

“The job is done, sir. Here is the document that you need.” He said this in a lower tone so that only the two of them could hear.

Xiang would approach Yuurei and he would grab the scroll out of Yuurei’s hand and would smile at him.

“Thank you for everything that you three are doing for me. I will pay you all handsomely, but let’s go outside.” He said this to Yuurei and Gin if the young boy had come out of the room.

It was then that one of the guards would show up to Xiang and he would whisper into the man’s ears. Xiang would nod when he heard these words and he would chuckle a bit because he was right to hire ninjas.

“It seems like your third member found my sister. It seems like she was up to something after all. I’m glad you guys decided to go with this kind of plan, now follow me.” He said to Yuurei and Gin as he would start walking back where they had come from.

Yuurei would nod as he would follow behind. They would be escorted outside of the manor where Guren would be waiting for them. The Genin would wave at Guren as their mission had been completed.

“We got everything we needed, and Xiang has everything he needs as well. It seems like everything is fine on your side.” He said this to Guren.

Xiang would move into his robe as he had prepared three bags of Ryo for each of them, while they were handling their work. He would hand them all their rewards and would bow to them.

“Thank you all for your hard work. I can’t thank you enough, so at least enjoy this reward.” He said to them.

Yuurei would look over to Guren again when they wave their goodbyes to Xiang and he would have a smirk on his face as his Sharingan was no longer active.

“How were things on your end Guren? We had to deal with talking to nurses and Gin had done a few testing as a medical ninja.” He said as was getting ready to make his way back to the village.

Taking a Fortune (Mission) - Page 2 Empty Re: Taking a Fortune (Mission)

Sat Aug 29, 2020 11:42 pm
As Yuurei produced the "paperwork", Gin packed away his equipment as he eyed the bedridden Lord. It was amazing, there was not any indication that genjutsu was being used, but as Lord Wei reached for the pen and began writing on the paper, Gin knew that the jutsu was in place; a shiver ran down his spine, he had thought back to when he and Yuurei fought the illusionist that had placed him in a genjutsu, after the battle, Yuurei had explained to him that all he saw of him standing there, but to Gin, he had went back in time by about ten minutes, he couldn't understand how it worked, but being put into a dream without realizing scared him, such power needed to have a strong defense, Gin needed to know how to defend against it.

And the deed was done, Yuurei pulled back and exited and Gin desired to follow right behind him, but he needed to act the part properly. "Remember your medication, and I will be performing a check in about a month" clearly this was a lie, Gin didn't intend on returning once this mission is done. Before Lord Wei could reply, Gin began making his way out the door, walking at a steady pace. The moment he turned away from the door, leaving the line-of-sight of the Lord and the personal nurses, Gin quickened his pace to catch up to Yuurei, he dare not say a word while still within the home of the target.

Once outside of the building, Gin released a big sigh of breath and Guren waited for him and Yuurei. All Gin did was smile, for the mission was complete. "Thank you" Xiang said and Gin gave a slight nod before making his way back home.

Taking a Fortune (Mission) - Page 2 Empty Re: Taking a Fortune (Mission)

Sun Aug 30, 2020 12:17 am
As Guren awaited his two teammates to join alongside him from their tasks inside, it would seem as if Xiang’s sister began to regain her consciousness. She awoke and was still visibly woosy, as if she had been knocked out for days. As she came to, she looked up at Guren as if he were despicable and tried to struggle. Fortunately for Guren, she would find her hands were bound together.

“You bastard. I can’t believe you stopped us from getting to my father. He was supposed to sign over his business and will to me…Now stupid Xiang will have it” she coldly said as her voice diminished while the conversation continued on.

Guren would look with a confused expression upon his face, “Well…why are you are your brother competing over this? Why can’t you guys work something out and work togeth…”

“Because I hate Xiang” she firmly interrupted. Right after, the conversation died out and fell silent.

Guren, unsure of how to respond just let out a, “I see…Well you two might want to make amends. Life is short…” Yet the woman wouldn’t respond. She just sat quietly to herself, wallowing in her failed attempt at extorting her father. Guren admittedly felt some level of guilt, but if she wanted a certain outcome then she should have hired the Sunagakure shinobi instead of some grunt.

Now that the conversation was over, Yuurei, Gin, and Xiang would all walk out from the mansion. Based upon their body language and facial expressions, it was clear that the mission had gone successfully. Xiang would remain at his doorstop while Yuurei and Gin continued to walk over towards Guren. He waved off and called out in appreciation and thanks. Following this, one of his guards walked over to the woman and escorted her to Xiang. How they might handle the situation from this point forward was up to them.

For Guren, Yuurei, and Gin their own task was to head home now. Upon Yuurei’s briefing of their side of the mission, Guren smiled and responded, “Well. A minor hang up with stopping Xiang’s sister from interfering but that was short lived. I’m glad you two succeeded. Excellent job. Now let’s head home.” And with that, the three would make their way back to Sunagakure.
