Low-Effort Artifacts [solo, nk]

Kozai was sorting through the last few items from the artifact recovery team that had gone north. That group had done a pretty good job, bringing back tribal pieces for his collection, as well as various other things. For example, this strange booster mechanism. It looked like it was designed to work with others of its type, but Kozai couldn't figure out why. What could possibly need that kind of propulsion? And why use machinery instead of chakra? Even the shamans up there had some rudimentary grasp of chakra kneading techniques. The fact that these bizarre devices existed was a puzzle to him,

He laid it on the table and removed the next. It was a medium sized metal sphere, with ornate designs. Though it wasn't as overt and bulky as the booster was, Kozai recognized what purpose it served. This was a containment device for something. He shook it slightly, but there was no noise from within. Hmmm.... he put it aside. He'd have to take it down to the cells below the library, in case opening it caused some contagion or explosion within the building. No reason to let anyone else know what he was doing around here in truth, after all.

Kozai examined some of the photos of the larger items that had yet to be transported back to the village. They'd need vehicles for some of these. The deeply etched writings on them would need to be translated, but that would be simple enough, for him.
