Gonk wasn’t one for christmas. In fact, he despised it, simply because he had nobody to enjoy it with. While Gonk was walking down the streets of Kirigakure, he noticed a large gathering of people on Rooster street, all participating in various forms of winter merriment. Gonk turned around and was about to leave when a scaly green hand grabbed his shoulder. Gonk spun around, on guard, but to his surprise it was Wakame, one of the last Hoshigaki.
“Listen Gonk,” Wakame said, caringly. “I know you don’t like the holidays but give it a chance. I know you feel alone but you don’t have to be. At the desk, I hear a lot of things, and a good many of them are about you. People like you Gonk. They want to be friends with you but you don’t always make it easy. Please, go over there. Have some fun.” With that Wakame walked away heading back towards the Hoshigaki apartment building. Gonk watched him go, then decided to take his advice. Walking through Rooster Street, Gonk saw many stores, blazing with Christmas colors. Gonk saw a group of kids chucking snowballs at each other. One of the kids stuck out like a sore thumb. He was tall, a red head, and had strange black marks on his face.
"Wait a minute,” Gonk thought, “Is that Kato?” Indeed it was, and Gonk also spied Kasumi talking to him. Gonk took a breath then walked over to them.
“Hey Kasumi, hey Kato,” Gonk said, approaching them. “Looks like you two are having fun,” Gonk eyed the snow, he couldn’t remember the last time he had participated in a snowball fight. It would have been while his parents were still alive.

Kato was enjoying the festivities quite a lot, snow was flying, laughter was being had and the market that was a small walk away offered a warm respite for those who had tired from the wintery combat. Not long after he had noticed Kasumi greeting him from across the street Kato heard another familiar voice and turned to see Gonk pacing towards the two Hyuugas. Kato noticed that Gonk wasn't holding himself with the same sense of confidence and his energy seemed different as he greeted him "Hey Gonk! How's it going? Fancy joining us for some of the festivities? I was about to head to the market, I hear there is a stall that makes the best hazelnut hot chocolate in Island Country!" Kato then smirked as he looked over his shoulder to the snowball fight still waging behind him "however I don't mind chucking a few more snowballs if thats something you fancy"
Kato had always been a free spirit and seemed to find ways and people to celebrate the holidays with, despite being abandoned by his birth family. Kato hadn't seen many other Hoshigaki in the village, he wondered how many of them were left. After that thought he assumed that he knew the reason Gonk's energy seemed off and decided he would try and lift his spirits with some cheerful company

Travin landed on the ground in the back alleyway in a pile of snow, a smile on his face. Walking over to the corner he saw a group of three guys standing and talking all three of them in the snowball fight zone but not throwing snowballs. “We will see about that” Travin said to himself as he picked up a few more snowballs. He picked out his three targets a blue-skinned boy around age more than likely a Hoshigaki and a red-haired boy with black marking on his face and their third friend that he could see too well in the snow to make out features.
Travin got up to the corner of the building and staying in the shadows as best he could. Which was to say not very good at all with all the lights on, and threw his three snowballs one after the other aiming to hit all three of them in the chest with the snowballs. “If you going to stay in the combat zone you might want to join in” Travin would yell at them while he threw the snowballs. Expecting a retaliation from the three Travin would take the opportunity and duck behind a small fort of snow some of the kids had made. There were two other kids behind the snow fort wall, and all three of them raised snowballs at him. Before deciding that they could use the reinforcements.

Kita finished eating the last of his dinner, sighing with contentment as he pushed the empty bowl away from himself. Today was a day off from missions, and Kita was fully intent on enjoying it. He turned and looked at a nearby window, gazing into the snow filled night, musing to himself that there was a festival going on at the moment. "I could go, but there's a lot of things that I need to do around here. It is my day off though..." The familiar idea came to Kita, and he made the necessary hand seals to create Shadow Clones. As the two clones popped into existence, Kita gestured around at the somewhat dirty living space surrounding himself, grinning as he did. "Go ahead and clean this place up for me. I'm heading out for the night. After you finish, feel free to do whatever it is that you want. Just make sure that whatever it is makes for good memories to watch over." The clones nodded as Kita threw on his standard winter clothes, leaving his shinobi gear behind for the night, and headed out the door.
Kita made his way into the cold, crisp night air, watching as snow fell from the normally mist shrouded skies of the village. Lights from lanterns and displays shown over the streets, basking them in an array of various holiday colors, nearly blinding Kita from their intensity. Kita trudged through the streets of the village, watching various groups of people walking through, laughing with one another, sharing moments of joy with one another. Seeing it warmed Kita's heart, and a soft smile played on his face. "Looks like there's a lot of people out tonight. I wonder how mom and dad are doing right around now?" It was lost in his thoughts that Kita found his way to one of the stalls established for the festival, and got himself a cinnamon drink. Kita sipped from the cup as he made his way through the village, taking in the sights of the pretty lights and various advertisements. Not long after, he found three of the shinobi that he had worked with before: Gonk, Kato, and Kasumi, were chatting with one another. Kita grinned and raised his hand in greeting, opening his mouth to say hello just before he was pelted in the jaw with a snowball.

Kasumi had just taken a sip of some hot chocolate she had purchased from a street vendor when the first hit her square in the chest. The blow nearly made the Hyuuga spill the entire contents of the cup on the sidewalk, at her feet. She looked up to see who had threw it, and realized it was non other than her brother, Kato! A state of shock was plastered all over the girl's face, even from across the street.
Oh, brother. What have you done!? Kasumi wondered as she forgot what she set her cup back on the vendor's stand - no longer interested in her tasty beverage.
Her expression quickly turned into an evil one as she knelt over and began to scoop up snow, packing it into a compact ball. Once she had assembled five snowballs in her arms, the Hyuuga stood back up and assumed an aggressive stance. One by one she threw them at her brother. Three of them would be thrown high, while the last two would be aimed low, just in case her brother decided to duck down.
As she focused her gaze towards her brother, to see if she hit him or not, another snowball was lobbed in her direction. Kasumi felt it break apart against her right thigh. Judging by the impact, Kasumi decided it was thrown by someone else, other than her brother – but who? Kasumi looked over to see who it could possibly be. Soon she spotted a snow fort that stood guard of the alleyway behind it. No person would be allowed to enter without the fort's approval. Kasumi spotted two young boys poking their heads above the snowy wall.
”Ah ha! I've found you now! This means war you two! Gonk, Kato let us make peace for the time being, new opponents have entered the fray!” Kasumi said her creepy Hyuugan eyes glowed with a sadistic madness.
Kasumi looked around to find more snow. Her lips curled into a wicked smile when she found something better. Just on the opposite side of the vendor's stall, Kasumi eyed two little little girls – both to be about the age of six to eight years of age. They were adding the final touches to a snowman just on the perimeter of the snowball fight. Kasumi cackled loudly as she made her way over. With fire in her eyes, Kasumi towered over the two girls, giving them a terrible grin.
”Terribly sorry, girls, but this wonderfully made snowman is mine now.”
To their horror, the taller Genin raised her hands forward, in their direction, and then towards their snowy creation. Kasumi's Chakra Threads shot out of the Genin's fingertips and attached themselves to the girl's snowman. Slowly the frosty golem sprung to life as it waved its wooden arms up and down and the coal dotted mouth opened and closed.
All right you two, you asked for it! Prepare yourselves!”
Kasumi's gaze shifted towards the fort as she flicked her wrists in the same direction. In a blink of the eye, the snowman shuffled across the street in charging the fort. Luckily for Travin, he was not the Hyuuga's target, for she failed to notice who threw the snowball, and it looked like one of the other kids would take the heat – or in this case, the chill. The snowman, with its wooden twig arms out in a “Y” pose, wheeled around the snow fort and lunged at the boy on the left. The kid's look on his face was next to priceless as his legs failed him – falling backwards on his but. The snowman would follow suit hugging the poor boy on the ground and engulfing him in a heap of snow. As the snowman fell on the poor child, its form could no longer keep shape as Kasumi released it sealing the boy's chilly fate. Hopefully Kita, as he stood watching, would know just what he was getting himself into, for the snowball fight was about to be ramped up into the next gear...

Travin pecked over the snow fort wall to see a snowman that had been stolen from some nearby kids walking towards the snow fort. “Seigan” Travin said as his eyes turned Blue and giving off a slight glow to them. He could see the chakra strings attached to the snowman and followed them back to the owner of said chakra strings. Taking half a second to look around he came up with an idea. “OK, you two know any jutsu,” Travin asked the two boys crouched beside him. Both spoke up saying that they knew a D rank wind blast jutsu.
“Perfect” Travin said leaning in motioning for the boys to lean in as well. “Judging by how slow that snowman is moving since it doesn’t have legs I’m guessing we have about 30 seconds before it collapses on top of us.” both boys looked a little worried as it was a big snowman and it would be a lot of snow. “Wait for me to stand up when I do I need you to run as fast as possible over the roof and get above them. I’ll distract them leaving the other two to think you’re just getting out of the way of the real snowball fight. When you get on the roof behind them I want you to use your wind style jutsu to blow the snow off the roof and on top of the three of them” when Travin finished telling them the plan both boys had mischievous smiles on their faces.
“Go,” Travin said as he stood up pointing his index and bird finger at Kasumi. “You ready to feel the snow” He yelled across the street as the boys seemingly ran away. He would then throw his arms out and give his best evil laugh he could muster, as Kasumi would fall under his genjutsu for at least a moment.
Inside of the genjutsu, Kasumi would see Travin rise up on top of a tsunami of snow that would rush towards him. All while maintaining his evil laugh arms outstretched.
Meanwhile, the two boys would make it to the roof taking the back alley approach to not be seen and use their wind-style jutsu to blow the snow off the roof. If not interrupted then Kasumi would see the snow tsunami hit her about the time the snow would fall from the roof. While not able to see the genjutsu both Kita and Kato would also have the massive pile of snowfall on top of them from the roof above their heads.

The situation quickly escalated when Travin lobbed a snowball at Kasumi and took shelter in a fort with two small kids. Kasumi called for an alliance between herself, Kato, and Gonk.
“Sounds good to me,” Gonk said with a smile, not realizing how serious Kasumi took this fight. Until, she used a snowman as a puppet, and sent it as a kamikaze into the fort. Gonk saw one of the kids make it out in time, but the other was crushed by Kasumi's makeshift puppet. Smiling, Gonk turned to her and said, “Nice work, shall we finish Travin off?” But she was unresponsive, just standing there motionless.
“It must be a genjutsu,” Gonk realized, so he performed the genjutsu release on her and pulled her into an alley. He then ran back out onto the street to see how the battle was going. He looked around and noticed one of the boys from the snowball fight on the roof above him, evidently trying to barrage hime from above. So Gonk discreetly performed all of the hand seals for water dragon jutsu except the last one, waiting for the right moment. As soon as the boy used his jutsu to push the snow off the roof, Gonk formed the last hand seal, and the giant dragon formed around him. All of the snow landed on top of the dragon, which Gonk used as a sort of catapult, to launch it all towards Travin. He also knocked the boy down from the roof with the dragon, making sure he fell into a pile of snow. In the corner of his eye, Gonk could see the boy stuck headfirst in the snow, struggling to get out. Gonk kept the water dragon active for now, because it was good for both offence and defense.

Kita staggered back from the attack on his jaw, wiping the snow away with his free hand. Kita winced, and took a sip from his drink. "That was a cheap shot." Kita finished the rest off with one large gulp, and tossed the empty cup into a nearby garbage can with remarkable precision. Satisfied, Kita nodded before turning his attention back to the group. They had devolved into a full on snowball fight. Kita's eyes widened as he bore witness to the chaos at play. This was no longer a snowball fight. This was a ninja snow war.
Ninja techniques were starting to be unleashed as the Genin brought their A Game to the table. Kasumi launched a snowman at Travin and a group of children, Travin looked at Kasumi with strange looking eyes, and a few moments later, a large pile of snow fell on top of Kita's head, knocking him to the ground. The young ninja stood to his feet just in time to bear witness to a full size Water Dragon throwing snow at the contenders. Kita stood up and brushed himself off, grinning to himself. "Alright then, I can have fun with this!"
Kita reached down to the ground, slowly wadding snow into his hands, forming nice round balls within his palms. He was cold sure, as Kita hadn't worn any gloves, but he could manage. Kita surveyed the battlefield, calculating his next move. If he angled this right, he could deliver the perfect strike. Kita made sure that both of the snowballs were a good enough size before beginning his assault. Kita looked around to look at the child who threw snow on him. He would be the first victim. The other child appeared to be knocked harmlessly off the roof into a nearby snowbank, so Kita decided that a similar approach would be appropriate. The buildings weren't very tall, and a fall into a snowbank would be far from painful. Besides, these kids apparently had some ninjutsu. They could withstand a little punishment.
Kita leapt up towards the one remaining child on the rooftops, rising upwards at his full (120) speed. Kita could leap around 37.5 Meters into the air, so this building was child's play for him to scale. As the child looking in terror at the sadistically grinning shinobi, a thought came to Kita's mind. "What was the name of the technique that that Naruto guy used? That's right, it was Rasengan. Well how about an alternative technique..." As Kita reached the side of the building, leaping onto the top, he took one of his mighty snowballs and slammed it into the kid's abdomen, sending snow splattering in all directions as Kita forced him flying off the building, yelling "Snowsengan!" The kid fell to the ground below, slamming into the snow fort that they had made before, destroying their cover and providing a safe landing for the kid. Kita wasn't done yet. He held the other snowball in his hand and moved into position. Quick as a flash (120 Speed) Kita moved the short distance to where he stood, overlooking the fight as a whole. Kita could see every competitor, and they were all in range. Kita threw the snowball slightly upwards before catching it in his palm once again, before sending it rocketing forward towards the center of the group (115 Speed). Kita grinned, performing the hand seals to Shadow Shuriken Jutsu, turning this from one snowball, into 50. A rain of snowballs descended over the shinobi below, the torrent of icy balls blotting out the moon and stars above. Kita grinned. "Hope you guys don't mind if I join in!"

Kasumi's cackling was cut short as she looked up just in time to see an older boy emerge from behind the snow fort. Unlike the other kids, who all seemed to only be young enough to be academy students, this guy looked to be a Genin. Kasumi's eyes widened as the boy arose higher and higher until he stood on top of a massive snow wave which was barreling down towards her direction. Kasumi stood in awe as she witnessed her fate about to unfold. But as the snow was about to fall, Gonk, who used the Genjutsu Release technique, dispelled the false visions just in time to see Gonk shoving her into an a near by alleyway as the snow from the top of the roof came crashing down.
”Oh. Thanks, Gonk! I would have been swallowed for sure if you hadn't released me from whatever that was. I guess that guy uses Genjutu. Better be careful,” Kasumi said, thanking Gonk.
Kashumi hurried back into the street and stood three meters away from Gonk. Their opponents would have to fling snow in a large area if they wanted to hit them both. The blood vessels near Kasumi's eyes bulged out as chakra surged through them giving the young Hyuuga clarity. The Hyuuga then dropped down into a Gentle Fist stance with her arms stretched out – one in front and one behind, with her fingertips pointed upwards. For now, she waited to see who would make the next move.
Oh, he's not messing around, Kasumi thought as she side-eyed her ally.
The next move would come from Gonk. Has he finished the last handseal, Kasumi watched as water molded into being like that of a large serpent. It was produced just in time to save the Hoshigaki from being berried in a pile of snow. He then commanded the dragon to redirect the snow back at the boy's ringleader (Travin).
Meanwhile Kasumi spied another kid make their way up to the rooftops. It was Kita. She had gone on a mission with him before, and wondered what he was up to. It seemed he wished to join in on the fun as Kasumi watched with amusement as he Snowsengan'd the poor academy off of the building into a snow bank below. He then produced another snowball and hurled it down into the streets. The boy then quickly signed the handseals needed to turn the one nonthreatening snowball into an absolute barrage of packed snow!
Kasumi slid her back foot around to face the incoming wall of snowballs. With her Byakugan active, Kasumi took note of each trajectory. She would preform the Eight Trigrams: Thirty Two Palms maneuver at full speed. As the snowballs came down, Kasumi poked the ones which had her and Gonk's name on them. Precision blasts of chakra came with each poke, turning the snowballs into harmless mist.
