Travin watched as his two recruited academy students were dismantled and tossed out like yesterday's news, and without mercy for the small children as well. However, then again that was Kiri, and we as a village grew strong through pain and conflict. The people of Kiri eat pain for breakfast and wash it down with conflict. They was however trying to change it, but that runs deep in the village and it will take more than a single person to change it. The whole village will have to change it if they really want it gone. Travin knew all of this as he watched his friends destroy his little soldiers, and it was this that he was going to use to win this fight.

What his friends had failed to notice was the parents of said children that Travin had recruited for what was a harmless snowball fight. For if they had noticed the three members of Anbu and that was watching their children get destroyed by older and more powerful shinobi. They would have known that it was a bad idea, and they probably would have noticed that the three members of Anbu on their day off was not alone they was accompanied by several more adults ranging from jounin to chuunin all ready to take out the sweet vengeance that the people of Kiri lived for in this snowball fight.

“Parents, let's take them down for the children,” Travin would yell out into the street while holding up a snowball and covered in snow from Gonks bombardment with his water dragon, as if the adults were waiting for the order to attack. What was once only a small handful of adults looking to take out their vengeance and probably a poor day and maybe even a little maritable anger out on Travin’s friends. Travin watched as the street quickly filled up with a combination of water clones and shadow clones just before it appeared to be a massive collom of snow flying down the street. This was done via a combination of thrown snowballs and jutsu. Seeing this Travin decided that it was probably time to get the hell out of dodge and ducked out behind a building to hide from getting hit by any more snow.

Gonk grinned widely when the snow launched from Gonk’s water dragon buried Travin. He turned to Kasumi and grinned, they had all but won the war. However, this excitement was short lived when Travin decided to get sneaky. Until now, Gonk had failed to notice the group of older shinobi watching their snowball fight. Only now, did Gonk realise that some of them were the parents of the kids he had pulverised. And Travin had done a good job pitting them against Gonk and Kasumi.
“Not good!” Gonk yelled to Kasumi, as the group of shinobi multiplied with shadow clones, and started pelting the two genin with snowballs and other jutsu. Gonk quickly dissipated the water dragon, which turned into many small snowflakes, temporarily hiding them from sight. Gonk then quickly performed the hand seals for great vortex technique. He then spewed the water out of his mouth, towards the hoard of angry parents. He then grabbed Kasumi’s arm saying “We should get out of here, I know a place we can lay low.” Assuming she agreed to come with him, the two would run through the streets, zigzagging to lose their tail. They eventually ended up on the docks, where Gonk led Kasumi to his commandeered pirate boat.
We should be safe here,” Gonk told Kasumi as he helped her onto the boat. The two walked into the captains quarters, which had barely been touched since Gonk had acquired it. It was a fairly spacious room, with a desk, bed, and chair. On the desk was several artifacts from the pirate, including a map, compass, and bottle of rum. One of the only things Gonk had decided to do was get rid of the pirates old clothes and sheets, so the bed wasn’t disgusting. Gonk sat down on the bed, saying “Umm take a seat anywhere I guess. Sorry this place isn’t the nicest, but I thought it would be a good place to lay low for a while.” Gonk sat there awkwardly, not really sure what to do next. He was experiencing a strange feeling, one that he couldn’t remember ever feeling, but was strangely familiar. He was getting some deja vu from this setting. Gonk continued to watch Kasumi unsure of what to do.

Kasumi and Gonk were making a great team. The offensive and defensive power of Gonk's mighty Water Dragon, with the added defense of Kasumi's Gentle Fist were a force to be reckoned with. Travin's best hope for covering the duo in snow was to try to catch them both in a genjutsu; that way neither could snap the other out of it with the Release technique – or so Kasumi thought. But Travin had other worries to deal with than just the Hyuuga and the Hoshigaki. Kita had also joined in the fray. He attacked all three indiscriminately with a large scale snowball barrage.

One by one the younger children combatants were succumbing to the cold. Their tears blanketed the streets and soon enough became apart of the conglomeration of ice and snow – much to the dismay of their mothers who had to pick up their shivering children. What started out as a harmless snowball fight, turned into carnage and mayhem.

Even though Kasumi's Byakugan was active, her focus was not on the growing crowd. She remained ever attentive towards her peers and their next move. One by one another chakra signature came into view until there were too many to ignore. Kasumi stood up out of her stance to survey the situation at hand. There were several angry mothers and older ninja who seemed to all be staring angerly towards the duo on the street.

The snowball fight was won, but the war was lost, and Travin was the victor. Even though Kasumi was pretty sure he had dispatched several of the academy students himself, Travin was the first to play the blame game. And with Gonk's impressive water technique, it was pretty easy to assume that he was at fault.

Thankfully Gonk was quick to recover. His Water Dragon was quickly dispelled as he turned it into several snowflakes which fell around the duo. For added effect, the Hoshigaki molded them into a swirling vortex which blocked everyone's field of vision. This bought the two some time, but wasn't going to conceal them forever. Gonk instructed for Kasumi to follow, but the young Hyuuga had other plans.

”Sorry, Gonk, it'll be easier to get away if we split up. I'll come find you, later! I promise,” Kasumi informed.

Kasumi quickly formed the hand seals, “Ram, Snake, and Tiger”. In a puff of smoke, another Kasumi stood next to the original. It wasn't quite a splitting image, but for an angry mother, it would be hard to tell the difference. The substanceless clone began to sprint off down the street, doing its best to duck and weave in between the gathered crowd. The real Kasumi gave one last look towards her companion before forming a second handseal. This time she would preform the “Ram” seal. In a blur, the real Kasumi dashed upwards right up the center of the vortex and landed on one of the buildings nearby. Kita would momentarily watch her land before vanishing off the back side. Kasumi would then use the Transformation jutsu to turn herself into an elderly woman just trying to enjoy the festivities. Only now did she realize she had worked up quite an appetite and had a major craving for a sweet pastry. Hopefully Gonk would also be able to get away. For the time being, Kasumi would lay low for a bit, but before long, she would begin her hunt to find her shark friend.

Travin watched as his plan came into action. They all fled as he thought they would do under such an extreme number disadvantage. Travin made his way down the alleyway avoiding everyone he could till he had made it a good ways away from the location of the snowball fight and all the angry parents. He couldn’t help but smile as he walked away even though he was cold from the massive snow pile that had blasted over on to him. He decided that he was going to go and get warmed up first in a dinner or something and get something hot to drink to help speed up the process. After all it was starting to get late and he would be needing to get home soon for bed. After all, a shinobi’s work doesn't end just because you stayed up late.

Travin would stop by for dinner and spend a few minutes by their fire drinking some hot chocolate. He could feel his bones warming up and almost could swear he heard ice falling off of them as they thawed out. Once he was done he quickly made his way back home making sure to avoid anyone that was on the street of the snowball fight thinking that it was probably better to give them a few days to settle down before going back around over there.

Kasumi spend no less than two hours transformed as an elderly woman before she felt it was safe to revert back into her normal form. To the best of her knowledge she felt that she had given those angry moms the slip. Slowly she'd make her way back to the street which the snowball fight took place.

Hopefully Gonk was about to get out without being pelted too many times, or worse yet, arrested, kasumi thought to herself.

When she finally arrived, back on the scene, she scanned the area for angry moms. She didn't think too many of them had gotten that good of a look on her, but Kasumi kept her cloak's hood up just to be safe and let her hair fall into her face. Kasumi glanced over into the park with the snow sculptures. It was finally open to the public for people to see. There were a few grouping of trees she could take refuge in and not be worried about activating her Byakugan once more. She didn't think there were too many Hyuuga in town so the angry moms would most like jump to conclusions that she was involved if they saw her eyes. They'd be correct, of course, so all the more reason to stay out of sight.

Now were are you Gonk? Where did you say you were going to hide? Kasumi wondered as she activated her Byakugan.

She would use the long range version which increased the range of her ocular abilities. This in turn gave up her ability to see in all directions, but to find Gonk, she didn't need to. All she needed to do was look in the correct direction, assuming he didn't hide too far away. Her gaze pierced though wood and stone buildings alike. No matter the material, no matter how much snow was falling, she'd be able to see. Her gaze would eventually reach the docks and finally Kasumi would finally lock onto her companion's chakra signature. Luckily enough,Hoshigaki had pretty unique chakra flowing within them. Once Gonk was located, Kasumi would cease her Hyuuga vision and head over to the docks.

Oh, he's on that captured pirate vessel. I'm surprised they let us keep it. I guess its too small to be a naval threat. I guess that's why. Better go see what he's up to.

Kasumi climbed aboard and searched for her shark friend. She found him in the captain's chambers sitting on a bed. There was a desk with a big map on it and a dark glass bottle that smelled of alcohol. Kasumi would sit down onto the bed beside Gonk and lean back. It had been a long day and the snowball fight had been way more serious than she had originally anticipated.

”That was some snowball fight, eh, Gonk? You really were awesome back there. I'm glad we teamed up. I'll be looking forward when we go on another mission together,” Kasumi said as she leaned into Gonk without thinking.

Suddenly, Kasumi's heart nearly skipped a beat. For some reason sitting this close to Gonk was making her feel – strange. Perhaps the temperature in the captain's quarters was too warm. Kasumi's face flushed in a red hue as she shot up and stood next to the exit.

”Uh, say, Gonk. I checked the streets. Things have finally settled back down out there. Let's get back to the festival. I think the finale is about to start. Plus I'm kinda hungry, let's go grab a sweet pastry and some hot chocolate.”

Regardless of Gonk's decision, Kasumi would go back to the festival and enjoy the rest of her day...

Gonk had sat in the room for a while waiting for Kasumi. In fact, he was about to leave and go look for her when she opened the door to his cabin. Gonk breathed a quiet sigh of relief when she entered, he had been worried that the moms had gotten her.
“I shouldn’t worry about Kasumi,” Gonk thought as she sat down next to him, “she can take care of herself.”
“Hey Kasumi!” Gonk said, smiling. “I’m glad you made it out alright. Things sure got crazy.” Gonk’s eyes opened wider in surprise when he felt Kasumi lean into him.
“Why is she doing this? And why do I feel so strange? This feeling, it’s good, but also kind of scary. What is it?” Gonk remained unmoving as all of these thoughts raced around his head and jumped slightly when Kasumi shot up and moved to the door.
“Sure, heading back to the festival sounds great!” Gonk said cheerfully. But the strange feeling he had earlier still lingered through the night. Regardless, he had a great time at the festival, the food and hot chocolate was great, and the company was even greater. Gonk wandered the streets with his friend, checking out all the festival had to offer. It was very late when the festival started to wind down. Very few people still remained, but Gonk still walked the streets. After all, there was nobody to tell him to go home. But he was starting to get tired, so he turned to Kasumi and said “This had been really fun, but I should get home. See you later!” Without thinking, Gonk quickly hugged Kasumi, then walked away.
“Aaah why did I do that!” Gonk thought as he hurried away. “Oh well It’s too late now,” Gonk opened the door to his apartment and plopped down onto his bed, trying to figure out what on earth came over him.
