Teacher For a Day (D Rank Mission/Solo)
Thu Jan 14, 2021 7:57 pm
Mission Details Here
Ise had already been up, dressed, and out the door very early today. In fact, when he was awake, his mother was actually still sleeping. He didn’t bother waking her because not only did want to interrupt her sleep, but he also knew that she didn’t need to be at the Pharmacy until nine in the morning, and it was only two hours until then. As for the reason why he was up so early was, he had a mission. He was going to be filling in as a Substitute Teacher at the Academy today! Honestly, he was worried that he might end up doing a very poor job at teaching the kids. Then again, he was also excited at the same time oddly enough. It was rare for a Genin to fill in as a substitute teacher. He figured that they would have a higher-ranked ninja of the village fill in as a Substitute teacher, but instead, they had called for Isemori to fill in the position. Don’t worry, you got this! Just follow the instructions left by the actual teacher, and you’ll do great! He thought to himself, giving him a pep-talk as he looked at the entrance to the academy.
He walked into the office, seeing quite a few familiar faces, as well as recognizing his face. After all, it wasn’t long ago that he himself was an academy student. In fact, he had only recently graduated from the academy a few days ago - almost a week even. The lady who had operated the front desk of the main office had shot up out of seat once Ise had entered the main office, obviously thrilled that he was there. Perhaps she was even surprised that he was even there. She had asked him if he was here to just visit, although she questioned why he would do so at this hour in the morning. That was when he had been told that he was to fill in as a Substitute Teacher as a mission. That was when she lady had recalled that, saying that one of the teachers was called out for mission themselves, and had to find a replacement for them while they were gone. It was then that she had directed him to the classroom that he would be teaching in, which was room 108 - A. Ise could only help but smile, feeling a wave of nostalgia come over him as he roamed the halls. It was a good thing that he knew exactly where his designated classroom was.
Ise had quickly been given the key to the classroom in order to unlock it and was told that he must return the key when class was over for the day. Ise nodded, completely understanding. After all, he would feel bad if he forgot. There was also the fact that the teacher wouldn’t be able to get into their classroom if he didn’t return the key. The front desk lady had waved him goodbye shortly after telling him good luck. Once Ise had gotten inside the classroom, he quickly shut the door behind him, then quickly looking at up the clock on the other side of the wall next to the window. “Good! I still have an hour to prep everything before the kids arrive!” He said to himself. It was then that Ise had noticed a piece of paper laying on top of the teacher’s desk. Ise had quickly walked over to the desk, picking up the paper reading the contents. It was a note left behind by the teacher who he was filling in for which read as followed:
To whom it may concern:
Thank you for filling in for me! I apologize for it being the last minute, however, I couldn’t turn down this mission! At any rate, here is a list of what the kids will be doing today!
8am - 9am: Roll-Call/hour review of Substitution Jutsu
9am - 10am: General Studies (History & Science)
11am - 11:30am: Lunchtime
11:30am - 12:30pm: Substitution Jutsu Demonstration
12:30pm - 1:30pm: General Studies (English & Math)
1:30pm - 2pm: Recess
2pm - 2:30pm: Kunai/Shuriken Throwing Practice
2:30pm - 3pm: Homework Assignment/Parent-Pickup
If you have any trouble at all with any of the students, please administer punishment by sending them to the academy’s main office! Also, good luck! The Roll-call sheet is the very top drawer of the desk on the right! You will also find Academy regulations also in the same drawer!
Ise had quickly scanned the piece of paper one more time after thoroughly reading the paper. “Well, I can follow this no problem!” Ise had said to himself, setting the paper back on the desk after neatly folding it. Ise had quickly written down his name on the board with the piece of chalk that was found on the railing while also writing down the first thing that they would be doing today. Then shortly after that was finished, he opened the door to the classroom since it would be very soon for the students to arrive. Ise had then waited patiently for thirty minutes, and then before he knew it the students that he would be teaching walked in one after the other, having confused faces while looking at the young Uchiha. “Don’t worry too much,” Ise had reassured them with a bright grin on his face. “I’m filling in as your substitute teacher for the day,” he briefly explained. After all, what else could he tell them?
Once Eight o’Clock had hit, Ise went ahead, shutting the door, beginning the class with roll-call, gradually progressing throughout the day. The young Uchiha was honestly quite surprised that he was doing a very good job. There were times though where some of the students had misbehaved, especially during the Substitution demonstrations when one of the students was being made fun of for not be able to do the jutsu quite right. There was also an incident where one of the students had thrown one of their practice kunai at another student. Of course, that particular student was taken care of by being sent to the office for punishment as instructed in the teacher’s letter. Not only that, but Ise was able to help those that were in need of help, and just with their substitution training or their kunai/shuriken throwing practice, but also their general studies as well. He was modest whenever the students had told him that he was very smart, and wanted him to be their full-time teacher instead. Not only that, but Ise was able to make the kids laugh at times as well. Honestly, when the kids were being picked up by their parents, Ise had reflected back to his time as an academy student. He admitted he wasn’t the brightest student. He even admitted to himself that there were times where he got himself in trouble, just like the few students had done earlier. It made him wish that he could go back in time and fix the mistakes that he made while being a student at this very academy, however, he knew that was clearly impossible. The only thing he could do now was to learn from his past mistakes and keep pushing forward, not only as shinobi but as a regular human being as well.
