A quick prayer in the wilderness
Tue Feb 16, 2021 8:12 pm
"Man it seems this place has no end to its beauty." Taichi thought to himself as he walked along the city center and found himself towards the edge of the village, another gate directly in front of him. There was a sign beside the gate, so he decided to read what it had to say. "Wildlife reserve, eh? Just when I thought the beauty of this village was reaching its end." He walked through the gate and he was instantly amazed by the beauty that was on display.
Wide eyed, he decided to continue on, to see just what else there was to see in the reserve. Feeling as if he was being dragged on by an unseen force, as if there was a special scene that he was too see. Deeper into the reserve, he continued to leave the paths that were designated for walking, just so he could see all that there was to offer within the depths of the greens.
He found a quiet spot far off of the beaten path, a place in which the rivers merged and a waterfall fell before his position. He was standing on a clearing, just wide enough for him to kneel before the waters and be still within the winds of the reserve. He meditated, breathing in the fresh smells of the forest, and breathing out the negativity that his life had become full of. He reached a point of mental clarity that he hadn't been able to in a very long time.
Within this mental point of clarity, he thought on his life, what he was doing with it and what he planned on oing with it from there. There was so many options that he had, but he wasn't sure on any of them. He could have become part of a village, or he could have continued on the road and stayed the missing nin that he was. He could have gone back to the land of Snow and started a small community, preach the gospels of the gods and continue to survive within the mountains. He had so many different options, he could have even gone back to the land of Fang and uncovered his log home there. So many options, but nothing that he felt was solid. Nothing in his life felt this way.
He decided that it was time that he prayed, he prayed for something, a sign of sorts. Something that was going to bring him toward the path that he was meant to be on, to follow the destiny that was meant for him. He ducked his head and he prayed to the gods above him. When he was done, he lifted off of his knees and he felt a heaviness lifted from his shoulders, he didn't know what he was going to do, but he did know that there was an answer within this village, he was sure of it.
Leaving the wildlife reserve, he bid farewell to the place that he had barely met, it was a place for true mediation and that was something he had been looking for for a very long time. He left the reserve and he decided to take a look at the training grounds, hoping to see something or someone interesting.
