Chunin Exams Round 2: The Trial of the Sarutobi

“Now... does this not look familiar? You’ve passed, done a fair job and yet still...still  you are being punished for it. No different from father. Perhaps even more cruel.” The familiar voice spoke, echoed from the void of the Hyuuga’s confines. Souji, looking upon the devastation that was moments from being launched upon him, not quite understanding why. “I... I passed, so why? Why is he still attacking me?” He asked himself. The voice growled a response. “Because just like everyone else! He sees you are nothing more than a useless, weak, failed experiment.” The shadow emerged from the darkness, casually approaching the Hyuuga. Stopping 1 meter behind him, gazing out the windows that recorded the events that were taking place. Souji, lowering his head, finding trouble accepting what was being told to him, even more at what was being done towards him. 

“No... that’s not right, it can’t be right... He’s from my village.” He whispered, as if he wanted to reassure himself. The shadow placed its hand on the shoulder of the boy, smiling and leaning in to his ear. “The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules... They need you for the moment, but when they don’t, they cast you out like leper. He sees something in you, something dangerous and he’s afraid of it, or what you can become. Why else would he attack you after your victory? Why else would he unleash something like that upon you?” It removed its hand from the shoulder of the boy as it moved to his front. Facing him, it’s expression somewhat stern, yet lax. Souji, raised his eyes to meet it, seeing the odd shift in its features. “...” He paused, silent without words to combat the shadow from within him. “Let me out, Souji. Allow me to do what I do best... what you’ve created me for... let me be your madness. I can be your emergency exit. You can just step aside and close the door behind you... close yourself off from all the dreadful things of this world, lock it all away - with me. You deserve to be able to let your guard down...truly let your guard down.” It extended its hand towards Souji. 

The Hyuuga noticed it, but did not react, not right away. He found himself in a loop of all the horrible things his father done, his mother allowed. The people of Konoha accepted. The pain that he endured and the hardship that nearly crippled him. His hand, twitched before slowly raising to meet with the shadow’s. He grabbed hold of it, firmly and pulled it in close. The shadow did the same with a smile as it pressed its forehead to his. The realm quaked as the ink like water rippled and boiled. “That a boy... I will protect you. Like I’ve always done.” 

In all reality time had not passed a mere second, the eyes of the Hyuuga flickered as he looked upon the tiger like creation that was now heading toward him. A twisted smile formed upon his face as his eyes hued with a cyan aura over the Byakugan - chakra flooded his system, fully under his command as he chucked a hysterical laughter “Mwhahahahahaha!!!” His chakra erupted to 185 and his speed to 135. “You are far too serious, monkey boy! But you know what? I like you!! But I also want to kill you...” There was a toxin of bloodlust coming from Souji at this point. He altered his stance to a careless one, or was it confidence? His palm moved forward at a speed of 135 for a thrust, from this thrust a soft blurred projectile manifested in as a shell at a speed of 118 into a 12 meter in diameter and 12 meter in length force that traveled to meet the tiger force head on. The shell contained a power of 143. As it soared to meet with the tiger it would pierce the beast like a pin in a ballon 6 meter away from the monk bursting it into nothing more than raging air as it continued on its course to meet with the Sarutobi - without doubt this would catching the Jounin off guard as it closed the at a speed much faster than what he threw. It’s force was so great that rubble was pushed, shattered and even rendered to dust as it honed in on the man. Should it make contact with him he would be met with bone shattering force that would render every bone in his body useless to him, as it carried him a remainder of 50 meters towards the heavens. 

But that would not be the all of the effects, the chakra of Souji would course the body of the Sarutobi and attacking every tenketsu in his body reducing his total AP by 80 points. Souji’s eyes pierced from behind his palm - he stood in a crater of his own forced creation due to his unleashed technique. He smiled and eventually began to laugh as he lowered his palm, at this point the technique had already destroyed the tiger like projectile. His left hand within his pocket. He licked his lips as he was quite curious to see what would come of the Jounin. “What was he on about? An inferno that either razes, or nourish? Hahah, I couldn’t care less for either one, I just want to fight and fight and fight until I’m content. If I have to engulf a few lives in the process...so be it.” Souji maintained a lock on Raleth to prepare for whatever happens next.

An omnious feeling, a dark presence, pulses from Souji as he stares, stunned, at Raleth's Daytime Tiger. His head drops low, his chakra flares, and the water, which should be thrashing from the force of the sarutobi's taijutsu, around him would still. In this still pond's reflection, Raleth sees a shadow hanging around the boy's Chakra, it's murderous presence hangs around his shoulders, protectively. He looks up, his hair veils his left eye, his overwhelming power has red-tinted Chakra stream from his glowing eyes, and down his smiling face. With a murderous cackle, this Veiled Souji takes a graceful stance.

Raleth, having already formed the blooming lotus handseal, exhales and activates his technique. His muscle mass doubles in size, his heart beats with such ferocity that his rushing blood tints his skin red, granting him +80 strength and speed and boosting his use of taijutsu. Because of the force of his blood flow, his chakra steams out of his pores, forming a bright-orange aura that grants 80 Dr but prevents the use of ninjutsu. The force of his power lifts his hair, his eyes are white and his expression is stone, and his gaze burns into the smiling face of the crimson-teared Hyuuga.

The ripple of air meets the blast of strength and pressure, ripping through it, and replacing the roar of the tiger with the silence of a still pond. In this moment, Raleth Sarutobi inhales.

In the moment the two techniques meet, which would be at a place 1 meter from Souji, the crimson-skinned monk would dive toward the Hyuuga's current position, and the 20 meter tall, 5 meter wide platform he stands on, traveling the 12 meter distance at his enhanced 155 speed. He would extend his right arm and bring his left arm in guard, he would aim to leap and grab, or slam, into Souji'a body.

The white-eyed, stone-faced Sarutobi would collide with the Hyuuga's Vacuum palm at a point 6 meters away from the still-pond suna-shinobi, and his technique would be shrugged off as Raleth tanks the body shattering blow. Yet Raleth'a eyes widen as he passes through ripple in air. Though his tank shrugged off the physical damage, his chakra system would still be affected. Though, the damage would not be what the hyuuga would want it to be, and Raleth is able to power through it, and exhales the pain he feels, remaining calm and continuing with his attack.

If nothing changes, Raleth would lunge towards Souji, slam into his core, grab onto his neck, and bash him into the pillar he stands on. If souji were to dodge, the red-skinned Raleth would instead slam into the pillar he stands on, destroying it with a force of 155, which would puliverse the earth and send chunks of stone flying out at 155 speed, in a 5 meter radius away from the Raleth.

Jutsu/AP:

Another spike of insanity and bloodlust came from the Hyuuga boy, watching as the Jounin ate his vacuum palm with little to not consequences. Or so that was the exterior display of it. Souji could see clearly that his tactic was successful, no damage was not done physically on the outside, but it was accomplished on the inside. Tenketsu were assaulted to a great degree, a smile filled the face of the boy as he observed in his nonchalant stance. “He’s still coming? This guy is something else. Hahahaha!” The Sarutobi’s advance would certainly leave one to believe that they were being pushed to extreme measures - panic even. 

Upon the red mountain rush and then leap towards the Hyuuga. Time seemed to have stood still. “You know... people often underestimate the potential of a weapon...” The shadow’s voice echoed, rippling the ink like water of the void. “...” Souji, stood behind it as the inky water was rising and coursing him, stopping around his neck. A hesitant glance came from him. The shadow chuckled and looked on through the void - looking at Raleth directly with a malicious smile. “It doesn’t matter how small, or fragile it looks in appearance. When used correctly even a single blade of grass can shatter a mountain. All you need is... One... ” His words teasingly trailing. But it was enough to grasp the attention and concern of the Hyuuga. “Wait, what?” Souji asked, hesitantly. Squirming in his liquid restraints. 

“Sound...” The word crept from its mouth like a serpent tongue. Souji struggling with himself to break free, take back control of his body. He...he knew what was coming, what was about to be unleashed! That wasn’t something that he wanted. “SHADOW!! No, change back, I- I don’t want this anymore! The old man do-” “Shshshsh... You’re panicking, Souji, and for what?” It glanced over its shoulder to make eye contact with him. There was a emptiness in its eyes, one that Souji haven’t quite felt before. “Nobody panics when things are going according to a plan, even when it turns out to be horrific.” Was all that it said, enough to cause the boy to feel a coldness within his core, his very heart. A single tear shed from his left eye as he knew what was seconds from happening. 

Time resumed in reality as Raleth was a single meter away from reaching the boy as he was in his lunge. The monk would see it, no he would feel the overwhelming difference between this Souji and the last. “Blow...” Whispered with a smile. Raleth would not see this, for it was not visible, not even a soft blur in space would give it away, but should he have the ability to sense chakra he would be in fact capable of that. Tenketsu from Souji’s very body exerted all at once for a massive push - beginning 1 centimeter from his skin. From him at the speed and power of 250 a wave of chakra manifested from him in an half dome in Raleth’s immediate direction with Souji in the epicenter as an omnidirectional blast reaching 15 meters in all directions. Under normal and ideal circumstances for the shadow Souji the blunt force of this technique would be so great that it would blow away any body part that came into contact with it, ideally Raleth’s entire body. But there was an unwanted tug and resistance within the chakra that was being released such control over it that it would not do no such thing, instead it would be a force of blunt damage with no lethal means on the end. The Shadow sucked it’s teeth knowing very well that this was Souji’s doing from within. 

The aspect of this technique was so great that it would usually aim to shatter even the weapons in Raleth’s possession upon impact, but that too was filled due to Souji from within. No jutsu would be able to combat this technique, given the possibility that the monk could muster one in such a point blank instance that is. If he could the chakra within whatever technique that he used would have been disrupted by the One Blow Body, the chakra components would separate and completely dissipate upon collision. Unless it was of equal or higher power. Should the technique collide with Raleth it would hit him at a force of 250 sending him flying in the opposite direction at jutsu speed  and ultimately knocking him unconscious in the process as his health is less than the power of this jutsu. 

In the same instance of this the very pillar which the boy stood upon would shatter outward from the blast point leaving him Souji with enough to stand on and what was behind him intact, leaving the remainder of the pillar intact to stand upon despite the chunk that was blow apart from it. Souji stood there as his blast remain as if it was a barrier of some sort. There was a struggle that was taking place within him, his head jerked back as his eyes closed and he grunts annoyingly.

It would seem that the mountain of a man, Raleth was without time to understand his flaw, his engagement of facing the Hyuuga child, the shadow that dwelled within. The blast would connect with the monk, meeting him with force that he could not match in such fractions of time. It would send him soaring through the training grounds, crashing into whatever he was in path of along the way at a speed of 250. The Sarutobi was long since knocked unconscious the moment the blast hit his mass with such force, such raw power. 

Souji, with his head jerked back, would step back only a foot as his chakra blast dissipates from his movement. “Would you look at that...the mountain has been conquered. What could do that, but a Dragon. A Dragon of the Sands.” He smiled maliciously as he placed his hand to his forehead, Byakugan beaming in the direction of the fallen monk. The boy would shake his head as he was holding back his menacing laughter. 

Boy fell to one knee, his left hand planted to the platform top. He shook his head once more. There was a mental receding - he could feel that odd sensation of him and the shadow switching. What echoes in his mind “That makes two...remember this day, this time. It’s not all bad working together...” The shadow’s voice echoed and then fades into silence. Souji returning he would catch his breath. Before long he would turn his gaze over to Ryuzaki. The thought of avenging him crossed his mind as a success, even if he had help from that other him. Returning to his feet, the Hyuuga would look at the destruction that was caused in their extra credit. He looked at his hands, shocked at the power in some form of disbelief. 

A dismissive grunt. He would turn and repel himself to the lower levels of the training grounds and make his exit. “Ryuzaki! I’ve made that bastard pay for what he did to you.... You’re welcome!” Yelled the boy as he faded into the darkness as he left the area.
