Madrigal arrived at the gate in good time thanks to his speed and would just be turning to settle in the watch and wait when he would see the faint traces of rising smoke coming from around the corner. He would also see Stein, given the man’s two meter height advantage, on the archway and stretching his foot off of his body with some kind of strange black threads that moved around like serpents. Given the smoke and Stein’s strange bodily attack Madrigal had a few things to consider about what to do now. The first of them was that perhaps it was best to close up ranks now, move toward the end of the hall to be more prepared in case their target came around the corner to try to run. The closer the tall genin was to the corner when that occurred the better off he would be. Given that he was a close quarters combat specialist. With that in mind, Madrigal would begin to make his way down the hall, moving at his best speed. With that in mind, it would not take him long to reach the end. Should he run into the target, or a clone of him at least but Madrigal would have no way to know that, he would immediately snap his arm up to strike the throat of the target with all of his force, making to crush the windpipe. He would follow up that strike with a heavy uppercut to the man’s face which, if both landed, would probably snap the man’s head back with enough force to break his neck.
Of course that first strike would be enough to dispel a clone so he would stop as he began to move with the follow up and begin to search around, taking note of the smoke screen. The smoke would rise up, dissipating as the gaseous substance rose into the sky and eventually Madrigal would see that the target wasn’t there and begin to search for him. The only possible direction for the man to have gone would have been over the wall himself. He would hop up to the wall and look over it, using the elevation to look around at the other areas behind walls to no avail. Furrowing his eyebrows in confusion, he would turn toward Stein, an inquisitive eyebrow raised. Of course if the clones did not exist, and Stein’s attack be successful. He would turn the corner into a rather gruesome sight. The target’s body would strewn up on those strange black threads the man was using and a group of them would be piercing the man’s chest. Heartsblood would fall to the earth beneath the still corpse in a shower of red gore and Madrigal would feel his eyebrows rise at the sight. He had yet to see someone be killed so violently yet and he placed a hand on the wall next to him as his stomach threatened to rebel.
It did not matter how big you were, how strong you were, or how fast you were. How much promise you held, or how much you wanted to do well at your chosen job. The first time you see someone’s body be reduced to nothing but meat. It makes you feel sick. There’s nothing really for it, you see someone that was once full of life. Even if they were an enemy, and to see that person be reduced to nothing but mass. To see everything that made them a human being ripped away from them. The mission had been to kill the murdering genin. He had done the same to someone else, regardless of what kind of a person the man’s teammate had been. Yet that did not change the fact that he would never speak again. Never eat again, never drink, laugh, smile, or breathe again. The world was a vicious place, and actions always have consequences. It was a hard lesson to remember. Madrigal got control of his rebelling stomach and came off the wall, standing straight. Stein was actually the one in charge of the mission given his seniority, so the amber eyed genin would await further orders.

OOC: good job guys, sorry you didn't get to do anything Tsunayoshi :/ - Decide how you guys want to split his inventory, if you want the items within, you can claim those. I don't know how Tau works off the top of my head, but if you can and want to claim the npc's heart, you should also do so.

Marato had no way of knowing that the person that had suddenly jutted onto the archway was able to see him through the smoke, and there was also a miscalculation on Marato's part, he had underestimated the speed of the man and made the area that he raised with the earth core far too large. The man would have simply smashed his body face first into the wall if he had made it any thinner, but he was panicking and just fired it off with the maximum power he could muster, which was a bad idea. This did not really matter though, as the person atop the wall had some sort of threads that made up his body or something, as Marato's Mass Shift worked, just that he had detached his foot and let it swing freely, not interrupting any other part of his body and allowing him to continue his actions aas if nothing happened.
The last thought that Marato had before the extremely fast, sharp, and maneuverable threads pierced his vitals and killed him instantly, was that he had the bad luck of having a horrifying freak of nature sent to go and kill him. There was nothing he could really do, and he found a bit of peace in the fact that he had absolutely no chance anyways. It was easier to accept that it was an impossible task to escape than it was to think that you died because of some error on your part. Also, there was almost no pain because the man targeted his brain with some of the threads, so his body was simply dead before it seemed fairly mangled and ripped apart by the threads. As he died, there was quite a bit of smoke and blood in the air, and this caused a lot of people that were near the building they were in scream and run, especially because Stein did not have a Hoshi headband and the person he killed did.
A couple of the Royal guard would come over, weapons at the ready, and start questioning Stein and the other two people, most likely realizing the situation once it was spelled out for them, but everyone would have to admit that the scene did look like it was a powerful enemy ninja attacking the village and killed a genin of the village, and Stein did not look very trustworthy without the potential crime happening. This would no doubt be sorted out, and the people could divvy up the man's spoils.

When the boy dropped Stein would retract his tendrils and drop down to the ground,. Using his moving earth core technique to replace the training grounds to their original state. That was when he noticed the spectators but cared not until guards arrived, at which time he would produce the mission parameters scroll from his pocket and show it to the guards. "Here you go gentlemen, this right here is proof that this man was a traitor to the headband Killing one of his own. I do not know why he did that, or do I really care, for his choice had cost the village two shinobi right than, and One could not risk any information he may know about the village secrets to Escape, any more questions can be directed towards your fellow Hoshigakurians" At that time Stein would take the scroll back and would pick up the body of the boy. The ninja tools that were once the boys would fall off, the holster strap had been cut by his threads. Stein did not pay attention to this as he carried the body off.
Stein would look at each of the teammates that had came along with "Thank you both for watching over the proceddings, sorry it had to be this way" And Stein would than saunter off with the body over his shoulder and go to turn in the mission and the headband as proof of kill. Stein had passed off the body to one of his clones to go stash away with the rest for the time being, he had an idea and wanted to test it out, the body could be handy to do such.
Exit, Will tally up wc later

It was all over, before it truly even started. The impact from the attack that Stein unleashed was enough to shake the very area, even if it was a light rumble. Tsuna found himself approaching the area. In his advance the blocked archway was no longer blocked. He was able to reach the hall just as the other did. In time to see Stein show the mission report to the guards. Tsuna glanced around him and noticed the dead boy of the boy. “Was there truly no other way...?” He asked quietly as he found himself feeling heavy. Too heavy.
Stein spoke what he did and Tsuna bided, he understood that the man did what he found to be best. So he didn’t really push his concerns further, but he still wished that things needed in a different note, one that did not involve the death of another. Was Tsuna being naive in his approach? Too...soft? He would wonder to himself as he gave the taller Genin a nod before turning and departing from the area.
There was much this boy needed to learn, and much more that he wanted to see with his own eyes.
