a day of mission
Mon May 31, 2021 1:44 pm
Cole woke this morning knowing that he would have a full day of work ahead of him. He had several missions lined up today but lucky for him they mostly lead into each other, and that he knew would work in his favor. He had planned these missions as he picked them out yesterday in the mission center. He would start on one side of the village and finish the missions as he crossed the village. It should go off without a hitch he thought to himself as he walked down the street to the first mission of the day. It was an easy one to get the bread and pass it out to the elderly in the village, and what made it so much better is that the route he got took him right next to his next destination.
His first stop was the bread maker on the east side of the village. He was to go down the street and take two lefts then a right and start to hand out his bread. “Morning,” he told the baker as he picked up his stack of bread loaves and started down the street. After his second left, he noticed that ahead of him was a massive roadblock where someone had turned their wagon over. Knowing that this was not a time to stop and help the people of the village he simple jumped up onto the tops of some crates. Before jumping once more onto the top of a box wagon and finally making it onto the top of the building. With a quick step over he was dropping back down onto the street behind the turned-over wagon, and he hadn’t dropped a single piece of bread yet. He thought as he kept running to the sound of some of the people complaining in the background which only made him smile as he kept going.
The first house he came up to was a simple little building with three tenets living within. He handed over one of the loaves of bread as they were supposed to split it among them. Before wishing them a good day and heading down to the next building. This time it took a while before the door opened up and Cole was starting to feel his patience run out with this building. The old woman opened the door with a walker and an apology for taking so long to get to the door. Cole simply told her it was fine and handed her some of the bread. It continued on for a while till Cole was at the end of the street and handing out his last slice of bread. He noticed just how hot it was today and looking up at the sky noticed that there was not a cloud in the sky. “Well, that explains why I’m sweating my ass off,” he told himself while still looking up and standing in some shade offered by the building.
He stood there for a while catching his breath and enjoying the nice breeze that the alley created within the shade. Before continuing with the plan he had come up with for the day.

Cole finishing his short break in the shade of the building after dropping off all the bread to the elderly. He looked up at the sun heating up the village and could see the heat rising up off of the streets now that it was getting close to noon. Well dam, he thought to himself as he realized that today was going to suck to be stuck outside running around all day. He wanted to take the rest of the day off just due to the heat but he was a man of his word and he would get this all done if it killed him. He did make a mental note about being more careful about what he tells people though. Eitherway he was done with just sitting here letting it get even hotter as the sun kept rising into the sky. Using the surface walking jutsu Cole walked up the side of the building and got to the roof. From there he would be able to see the village gates which was his next destination he had two different missions located in the village gate area. The first being that he needed to walk around and help make sure that no unwanted people came into the village.
With only a few jumps from roof to roof Cole was dropping down onto the street. It was a short walk over to his post at the gate, and walking into the small building he would check in with the shinobi on guard. They would tell him to stay on the other side of the gate and act naturally while keeping an eye on everyone and listening to what they say. Cole would give him a nod and head over to the other side of the gates and start to look around at the various little stands near the gates. It was mostly just standard Hoshi merch that people could buy to take back home with them to show that they were here. Overall it was nothing that Cole was interested in, and that worked out for him since he didn’t want to get distracted looking at something and let someone slip in.
Making his way around the various stands and stalls Cole keep his ears open to overhear anything that was spoken. It was mostly just basic stuff that would be expected. Such as finally getting to come to the village, and conversations about the weather, as well as people talking about the Hogokage. Lucky for Cole it was mostly good stuff, and the bad was minor stuff that would be expected from any major city like traffic complaints and whatnot. He also wanted to see if he could find anyone looking for something in particular and would make note of it for his next mission that he would be doing after this one. He did have an hour to kill between the two though and would probably fill it up with getting something to eat and drink.
Once his time was done and having nothing to report Cole would check back in with the office and head out for his next mission.

Cole was sitting down on his lunch break he had decided to take between his last mission and this one. He had stopped by a little food truck that normally hung out around the village gates. He had asked the guy why he picked that spot to park his truck and was told its because people are hungry after a long walk. Cole didn’t bother to ask any more questions as it was pretty obvious once you thought about it. He had just finished his sandwich a barbeque pork sandwich with an ice-cold drink. Throwing away his trash it was time to get to work. He headed out of the little place with a couple of tables he was sitting at and headed off towards the palace. It was time to do his least favorit of the mission. He was never able to figure out why but he just didn’t like tourists for some reason it was probably something to do with all the questions.
Unlike before Cole would not be able to get to the palace via the roofs as he had mostly traveled today. The palace had guards that didn’t like that, and they were not the most friendly of sorts to the shinobi of the village as well. Cole had learned a long time ago that if you wanted to blend into this side of the village it was best to act like a normal person. One that was not trained in the use of Ninjutsu and combat, and that is how he acted most of the time around here. He put on the face of just another person trying to make it in the big city. It didn’t take long before he heard someone talking about where a good place to eat was. Cole walked over to them and simply pointed down the street. “Take to lefts and a right and you will find the best sushi place in the entire village,” he told the two girls. Both thanked him and headed in that direction before he heard another group of people looking for the church.
This group was an entire family out seeing the sites of Hoshi. Cole walked over and with a quick introduction was in the center of the group. “If you will follow me ill show you guys the main church in the village. It is just around the corner here” the group agreed and followed Cole around the corner of the building and the view of the massive building could be seen in the distance. “The church was first built a few hundred years ago as a shrine to the gods, and as the village, as grown so too has the church” Cole told the group. This was going to work out perfectly he thought to himself the church was where his next mission was as well. Plus the church loved it when you brought people into it and would probably win Cole little good graces to get an easy task for the day.
Cole would continue to spill out little facts about the church as he walked them all to it. It was mostly stuff that they would be able to read on the information brochure at the church.

Many of the spiritually inclined of The City Blessed by the Stars tend to distrust Shinobi and their "unholy" powers, yet they are still people who need food and supplies. Your job is to approach any one (1) building of worship in Hoshigakure with food, clothes and medicine for these people. Be sure not to use any jutsu or display any chakra affinities around them as this will result in them refusing your help and possibly even attacking you.

Cole had planned this part of the mission for a few days now since he had started to put this day altogether, and now he was at the end of this long day. He only had one more mission to finish before getting to take the rest of the day off. He was doing better than he thought he would be. Only taking a single lunch break since starting Cole had thought that he might take a short break after every mission but it all seemed to be coming together all day. Now he just had to take some food, clothes, and medicine to the church. While he didn’t understand why the church didn’t like shinobi. He did have to say that they did help the village in their own way. Cole was no fool and he understood that there were people in the village suffering. Either too poor to buy medicine, food, or whatever they needed, or simply being down on their luck, or the breadwinner of the family was killed in duty or by a tragic accident. Cole understood this and knew that there was nothing that could be done about it.
Cole walked into the store beside the church to gather the stuff he had been storing with the owner. “Hey, man can I get my stuff its time to take it all over to the church.” The owner was a short plumb man that attended church every time it opened its door. He had been gathering stuff the church would need with Cole’s money. He simply walked back into the back of the store and came back out a few seconds later holding a box of stuff and a bag full of clothes. Sitting it down on the counter he gave Cole what was left of his money. “Thanks, I’ll see you later,” Cole told the man picking up his stuff. While Cole was a fan of survival of the fittest he understood that this mission was to show young shinobi that there were people living hard lives in the village and was designed to show the young shinobi what they were fighting for. However, Cole already knew all this he was once one of these people living with nothing and was the reason he accepted this mission. He had been giving some of the stuff that the shinobi had given the church in hiding. Cole had been a fighter since birth and could recognize other fighters. Unlike the priest, Cole was able to tell the difference between the shinobi and others that came in and he was sure that some of the priests were able to as well.
Cole walked into the church holding the box and the bag in his hands. One of the priests walks up and offers to help carry the stuff. Cole agreed and handed the box over before following the priest through the church and into the back. Sitting the bag down next to where the priest sat the box. Cole would look at the priest and give a bow before turning to walk back out of the church. He had finished his missions and had the rest of the day off. He was debating on going to find someone to train with or working out solo. Either way, he was going to be going to work after this.
